The food here is actually pretty good service is excellent. I think the prices are very reasonable for the area considering it's in the Highlands area. I ordered a lunch special one day during work even though I've lived in the area for the greater part of two or three years. I just was never sure if this was a place. I should try but I decided I would. I ordered it for pick up and it was decently priced for a lunch special. I believe I paid less than 15 bucks. It included a soup and obviously a side of rice and I ordered some veggie spring rolls. The food was hot and fresh upon pick up. There was not a lot of business, albeit this was a weekday. I got the wonton soup with sesame chicken extra spicy and it was absolutely delicious. It was fresh. It was a healthy portion and I ate it for lunch and dinner. Actually the restaurant has a nice clean environment as well it doesn't seem like a must have in terms of eating inside, but it is scarier outside looking in however that could just be me and my heebie-jeebies surrounding Chinese food but I dig grass. This is definitely a solid Chinese food restaurant that I would recommend. I live a half a mile down the road and will definitely be back. read more

Delish. Always on the hunt for a good take out Chinese food that won't break the bank. I've driven past China Dragon for years and finally stopped in. The dining area was clean, we were immediately greeted. Easy menu. Great prices. Even better servings. It was good! Will be back. read more

Great food! Great pricing, big portions, really lovely staff. Little hole in the wall place but these small businesses are the best kind. Definitely get take out for your next Chinese night! read more

China Dragon has become my go-to Chinese spot in Denver, especially for takeout. It is great food, consistent, and a good value. I have had won ton soup, chicken lo mein, steamed dumplings, and sesame chicken, and it's all been delicious. The sesame chicken is my usual, and always hits the spot and is a good portion size that usually leaves some leftovers for the next day. Everything has reheated well. Nice and friendly staff, clean restaurant. Definitely recommend. read more

Good service, family friendly, kung pao definitely stole the show overall a really good place with good food and even better people

I was invited to update my review as it is over 5 years old. So some things have changed. There is not as large of a variety to pick from for lunch and the combo meals are only available on the weekdays. That was disappointing for us. But the food remains great quality, fresh and hot. We will continue ordering chinese take out from China Dragon for as long as they are around, Still a good value for our money. read more

The shrimp egg foo young tastes like it was fried, coated in flour then fried again. Somehow it had NO flavor without a single PIECE of shrimp in it. Usually when you order chicken wings from a Chinese spot it is fried. Nope. Theirs were baked and super salty for some reason. Tasted like salt brined seagull wings. I'm not a dog so I didn't enjoy anything I ordered. They really don't care and most likely won't even read this review this is for others to heed my warning against this place. To mess up simple menu items this bad is crazy so I obviously won't be ordering anything else from them. read more

Best go-to Chinese in the 'hood! Never disappoints, and super friendly staff. Always a hit in our house.

Great wonton and egg drop soup! Came here to eat on a snowy night and they had the nuggets game playing! The man who took our order was super friendly and attentive and the food came out great. New fav spot in Denver! read more

Do not go here for your fried rice it's not worth it. I bought fried rice from them yesterday and I have a really bad stomach ache at the moment. Please avoid this place. read more

Food is very tasty delicious and very friendly folks I really recommend these place !

The "ok" rating is for tonight alone. After the average amount of times we ordered from you in the last ten years; you have been a good standby and really you are the only 2nd option for Asian food in the surrounding area since Asian Bistro II moved in across the street a few years ago. I called tonight again because darned if any other Egg Fu Yung can be found anywhere else close and it's like .. must be having issues night tonight... Please answer the calls , don't hangup randomly, be reliable and don't go down that path of restaurant failure. We basically had to order elsewhere tonight after three screwy dysfunctional calls and it was'nt us. Please get better. Next time and it ain't worth the trouble. read more

Great spot the food is very good. Wonton soup is great and the combo platters will make you reconsider your gym membership with how heavy they are. Very generous and very friendly service read more

The food was horrible and customer service was even worse! I ordered mooshu pork smelled rancid I spit out the small piece that went in my mouth. My wife's basil tofu was bland and had a weird texture. The sesame chicken was tough and crunchy and only dark meat from what little was in the over battered pieces. I called to ask if they would just refund me or if I had to bring everything back and they refused to refund. I returned all meals basically uneaten and she still would not refund my money, said I was lying about how it tasted. I am calling my bank and denying the charge as it was returned. Do not eat here! If I could give less than 1 star I would. read more

I ordered delivery an hour from closing on a Tuesday- All four of our order's (plus condiments) were correct- I always ask if they have combo specials, it's just the right portion, choose you own craving, and it's cheaper- My food was freshly made with a good texture, crunchy veggies, and crispy sweat/sour chicken pieces - The egg rolls prepared light with they're house hot mustard- With an addition of Wong tongs to complete a Chinese food meal- Other choice meals included, -2 sesame chickens specials -Pork fried rice And all agreed it was superb! BTW no pictures because I ate it all and forgot- read more

Tasty food here, but a few notable issues. Only styrofoam cups and takeout boxes, so not the best for the environment there. Also, I asked my already spicy dish to be "extra spicy" and I do not think they followed through on that too well. It was a somewhat spicy dish. My biggest complaint is the utensils. The forks are so cheap that it makes it very difficult to eat the food with them, you have to use the fork like a spoon. The food was very very good, however, as it is an issue with most takeout places, there were way more vegetables than meat in my order, so the indulging wasn't as nice here. If the prices were cheaper to reflect this cheap place, I would give this a location more stars. However, prices reflected that of a better takeout place and we got a worse experience. I'll have to return and try another dish sometime, as again, it was tasty. read more

With my first try of Denver Chinese take out food - It wasn't too bad. Sure, like Daniel A said - it is laced with MSG - but hey it's edible and not disgusting. Their pork fried rice is better than some other take out places I've been too, and their chicken and vegetables are edible.(not too gooey, not too thin sauce) My friend ordered a chicken with noodles - which was loaded with salt, msg, and the likes. But whatever 1)it was our first time in Denver 2)there is no Chinatown in Denver, and my GPS lured me here I went at night time, and the location of China Dragon didn't seem to good. Be prepared for women outside asking you for a ride -- to somewhere. The storefront has bars over it's window and door. Inside it looks very homely, and maybe Daniel A is right - it is their home too. I don't recommend you coming here, but in my case - I drove far from my hotel thinking this was an actual Chinese restaurant - so I was "coerced" to eat. We only sampled two items - it was edible , but I won't be coming back here. *I later discovered Denver has some of the finest Viet restaurants - be sure to try some of them! I ate at Thai-Bao, it was great! read more

China Dragon - Chinese Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Worst "Chinese" food I've ever had. Bland and not even the ingredients you would expect. Fried rice was not traditional, but more like Thai food fried rice. Same goes for the egg rolls which is what I would expect from a thai restaurant. If you're looking for tasty Chinese food, go elsewhere. read more

Not the tastiest! The sauces in Chicken Chow Mein and Pork Chop Suey were very bland. The egg rolls were paltry. The hot/sour soup was more sour than hot. read more

There is another restaurant with the word Dragon in their name and close to the location of this one, I ordered there by mistake, and the food was not as good. The food is good here at China Dragon and you get a good amount as they use the disposable styrofoam containers. My favorite is the sesame chicken is slightly crunchy and the combo. Chop suey. read more

First and foremost-we opted for pick up on Christmas Eve and I have no idea what their delivery is like. However, for pick up, the food was ready on time, with a carrying box and was still piping hot when we got home (about a 5 minute drive) We got crab Rangoon, a four meat combination platter (it had a different name but it was awesome) and also shrimp with lobster sauce. The shrimp with lobster sauce was way better than New Dragons (New dragon had like an insane amount of mushrooms in theirs and I'm not paying for mushrooms I'm paying for shrimp.) When I think of go to Chinese food for take out this is exactly what I think of. I will definitely order here again next time I crave Chinese. 3.7/5 stars Bc no Chinese take out is actually 5 stars, lets be honest. read more

The best Chinese food in Denver to date . We've been searching for a decent local place after honeymooning in Asia and are so grateful for stumbling across China Dragon. Update - these guys are great! This is a family run operation. I eat here about twice a week - take away and delivery mainly but I've also eaten in the dining room. Friendly mother and kids always recognize my orders over the phone. Not sure why people have been so critical?? I mean it's Denver not Hong Kong... The food is always consistent and it's cheap! Great place - hearty portions and friendly family owned restaurant. Highly recommend chicken chowmein and sweet and sour chicken. read more

Yes, yes, y'all the Notorious M.S.G. is in the house... Trashy and sometimes delicious Chinese food that is FAST AS HELL. OK, it's not exactly the fanciest place but its fast, cheap and I've never gotten food poisoning from there. So, I'm going to go ahead and rate it 3 stars. I live in the Bermuda triangle of delivery places. Nobody delivers except like 3-4 places. This is the Chinese place that will. The same woman is ALWAYS THERE. She must live there. She must have a cot in the back next to the phone. ANYTIME OF DAY she is there. If I ever call this place and she is not there, I will make my funeral arrangements because there is a pending Ragnarok on the way. I think the universe may possibly cease to exist if unknown lady who answers the phone is not there when I call. She's as constant as the northern star, right down the phone line... read more

This is the best chinese delivery I have found in Denver so far. The food is great and they always deliver it super fast. Plus it is on the cheaper side :) My boyfriend and I always get their general tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, and dumplings read more

I liked the food until the next day. Worst case of food poisoning than I've ever experienced. I like to think I have a pretty strong stomach - I don't ever get sick from food (the only time it's happened was once or twice when I was traveling in SE Asia) What a terrible day that was. I wanted to die. Over a year later I come home and my roomate tells me about an equally terrifying experience he had after having China Dragon delivered. Needless to say we no longer call CD for delivery. You probably shouldn't either. read more

I couldn't disagree with Cassie S. more. Living in the Highlands for over 5 years I've tried them all and this is the place I come back to time after time. The food is always ready fast, their delivery is very fast, and contrary to other users, I've never gotten sick. The BBQ pork fried rice is done east coast style, the only place in Denver I can find it done that way. Their orange beef rocks too. Come to think of it, nothing on the menu sucks. A winner everytime. 5 stars. read more

Cheap food and fulfills the craving for average Chinese delivery. Wouldn't suggest the sesame chicken since there was no meat and mostly just sauce covered fried crisp; but the cream cheese wontons were AWESOME. the lo mein was also good. read more

This food sucks! I just got delivery of super fried cheese wonton, orange chicken that looks like kibbles and bits with no meat whatsoever, an order of chicken lo mein with all dark meat (kibble bits) and best of all.... I was home alone on a Friday night and decided to order in. No take out menus insight so used good old Google. This place had decent reviews so I gave it a shot. Hot sour soup...good flavor, not too hot and not too sour Hot and spicy veggies...least favorite, pretty bland. Neither hot nor spicy. LOL. Sesame chicken...delicious! Still pretty crispy by the time it arrived and had just the right amount of sweetness and wasn't too thick or sticky They gave me an egg roll and a wonton, both good. Cheap, fast, American Chinese food. I was pleasantly suprised. read more

The food was great but terrible customer service! I placed a large order a day in advance. While placing the order I learned the menu that is posted online is not up to date and the prices were much higher. Jody at the restaurant refused to honor what they had advertised. The order was delivered 20 minutes late. We had 18 entrees and only "2" were labeled. So we had to open each and figure out what meal it was. I called and spoke with Jody and all I heard were excuses about being busy. If they could not handle the order they should have said so when it was placed 24 hours in advance. Be forewarned should you have a large event, probably not the best place to order from. read more

I really wanted this place to be good, but the food is gross. I ordered the cashew chicken and everything tasted greasy and oily and like a weird soap aftwrtaste too? Also the menu says it was a combo for 5.95 and they charged me 8.60.... it's bad get cheap take-out elsewhere. read more

This place is a decent place to go, it is cheap and great to go if you don't have alot of money and are in the mood for chinese food. It's not the best in the world, but its decent and cheap. Ate here for the first time the other night and the quality is sub par. First of all, I called in the order for pickup and the lady said "you come now" without giving an ETA. I arrive minutes later and it wasn't ready. I had to wait 10 minutes. I've eaten at plenty of hole-in-the-wall Chinese shops that had way tastier food compared to this place. I got the Sesame Chicken platter just to try the place out, and boy am I glad I didn't get anything more complex! The only OK part was the egg roll because I dipped it in sweet n sour sauce. It was more the size of a spring roll (probably purchased frozen then deep fried). The rice was so incredibly bland with no additions like the usual carrots, peas, and shrimp/pork. It was literally white rice tossed in a small amount of soy. The chicken was chewey and also bland. I tried adding soy and sriracha to the rice but it was just depressing. Despite the incredibly convenient proximity of this place, I will not go back ever again! It's worth it to drive 10 mins anywhere else to find better Chinese. I was very upset that this place didn't work out. read more
