    Mongolian Beef?
    Rudy D.

Been craving Chinese food all day and looked forward to going to our favorite place in Clovis. To our surprise, ownership had changed. Apparently they had taken over the business 3 weeks ago. They didn't have dine in menus and provided us menus from previous owners and said the pricing has increased. Ordered what we were used to: Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Disappointed in both. Orange Chicken had a good flavor, but the breading was too much as was the cornstarch. The beef now has bell peppers. Tons of veggies and little beef. Will likely not return.

China Chefs new menu and ownership is an outstanding upgrade from the previous one! Courteous service, professional chef and fresh ingredients brought together with great execution and guaranteed to please even the most refined palates!

    Dry, sautéed green beans
    Lyn G.

Ordered the dry sautéed green beans. They now give you 1/3 the amount as the old owners for $13.99. Not worth it. Needless to say we will no longer be a customer. I'm not willing to pay more for so much less.

They have launched a new Japanese chicken, which is really delicious.Environmental service The environment is much cleaner than before. I have been here many times.

Grabbed some take out this past weekend and was taken back by how kind and generous everyone treated me. The man taking my order over the phone asked how spicy I would like my plates and the food was ready when he said it would be. After I paid for my food I asked how much it would be for a can of coke and he said " it's ok, we got it" and then asked how many I wanted. Thank you for the free can of coke and the delicious food.

I heard they have changed the new owner,so I come back to order the chicken chow mein , the taste is much better than before , and inside is very clean & bright, the manager is super nice, definitely recommend it again!

We ordered beef chow fun, kung pao chicken, orange chicken, vegetable delight and hunan shrimp. Loved them all except for the shrimp dish which was over powered by the heavy sauce and shrimp were few and far between, way more veggies than shrimp. They were very generous with all dishes so had a nice portion for four of us plus lots of leftovers. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Will be back for more. Our new favorite in Clovis.

I have been coming here for years, but it's under new ownership now. When ordering they said they don't do half orders anymore. I paid over 60$ for this and egg rolls. Nothing tastes the same, orange chicken was hard and dry, egg rolls tasted like panda. I'll have to look for a new place.

7/8/23 Getting lunch! Spicy Vegetable Tofu with Chicken added Chow Fun ordered. Made spicy at a "5" level too! The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 10 min. I went in to get it. The restaurant is take out only. Still, safe and clean. Greeted by kind worker and the order was ready and waiting. Paid for the order and left. Lunchtime! You get a lot! Definitely get your money's worth! My portion was really delicious! They gave a really great amount of tofu and chicken. A great amount of spice and even more delicious with the thick noodles! Mother said her half portion was great! She said it had a lot of meat and the noodles were really great too! Lots of leftovers as well! Good service and Great Chow Fun! Highly recommended!

Great tasting ramen!…read more My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! Weird ingredient...but absolutely tasty! And at a really affordable price range! You just have to try our this place when you're in the area! You will love it!

The first time I tried the tonkotsu ramen as takeout and gave it 2 stars. The noodles were soggy from the start and the broth just didn't hit the depth of flavor I was expecting. It felt like something was missing. This time, I dined in and ordered both the spicy miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen, plus a side of chicken karaage. Eating onsite made a difference right away, the noodles held up and the overall taste of the ramen was significantly better. The spicy miso ramen was good, but I was honestly hoping for a stronger miso punch and a bit more heat. It leaned a little milder than expected, though still enjoyable. The tonkotsu this time was better balanced than my first visit. The chicken karaage was good as well. Crispy, light batter, juicy inside really solid fried chicken. I personally would've liked a squeeze of lemon and maybe some Japanese mayo on the side to elevate it even more, but that's just preference. Overall, I feel like this place redeemed itself on a second visit, especially dining in. I'll need to come back to try more of their specialty ramens.

I was disappointed at how rough the chunks of beef were, especially since the beef in noodle soup is supposed to be tendonous and fall apart. As for the service, all the employees were very nice. You can tell this is a family owned and operated restaurant. Unfortunately, we did have to remind our waiter for water and utensils. I would come back and take out, or dine in on a cooler day.

Located in the Barnyard shopping center this Vietnamese restaurant is a little dated, but don't let the decor deter you. The food is in incredible! I ordered a large bowl with thin sliced meat balls along with spring rolls for the table. First off, I should've gotten a small bowl of pho, the large bowls here are massive. I had plenty of leftover for the next day and the day after! The broth was delicious with deep rich flavors and the noodles were slightly al dente, which I loved. I couldn't help myself and active point picked up my bowl and just started sipping the broth. My wife ordered the same thing as I, minus the meatballs and she too, could not get over how much flavor the broth had, almost like they had been slow cooking this for the past three days straight. The spring rolls were 100% handmade and the filling inside was delicious. We did bring our kids with us and we're definitely nervous because they are very picky eaters. They do offer a kids menu, but there isn't much to it. It's basically rice broth and your choice of meat. We ordered my 4-year-old daughter a small bowl of rice with broth and chicken; she loved this and kept asking for more! My son (7) went big and ordered pho with squid... he inhaled everything! Even asking if we could order more squid on the side to which we did and he ate that as well. This was huge win for mom and dad, now we can do pho to the family dining out rotation. This is a family own restaurant and the staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. It's opposite of Sakura Chaya on First and Nees, same lot as McDonald's. We ordered the Japchae (of course)-- one of my favorite Korean dishes. So simple, yet so good! We got a half order (5pcs) of the Garlic Soy Wings + half order of the Sweet & Spicy Wings, the Chili Shrimp, the Sweet & Sour Pork, and a bowl of rice (x2). This was more than enough food for us (3). They gave pickled radishes on the side and I also asked for a side of spicy sauce (chili oil and garlic-- fire). We all preferred the "Spicy" Wings over the Garlic Soy-- the flavor was just better but they were both good options. We all loved the Japchae, duh. The Chili Shrimp was really good and flavorful-- and we were pleasantly surprised by the quantity as well as quality. Our least favorite, sorry to say, was the Sweet & Sour Pork. It wasn't bad, just not our favorite. I did opt for dipping it into the spicy sauce rather than the Sweet & Sour sauce though. We also probably would've been okay with just one bowl of rice as well, since we had the Japchae. We're in 100°+ weather so we were not in the mood for soup lol so we'll have to come back and try out some of the soups another time-- as well as their stir fry dishes. Service was quick. You order and pay up front. The girl who helped us was nice, and helpful. They even give you a dish for free (if it's your bday)! Pretty cool of them to do. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at, nothing that stood out to me. They had a good amount of seating available considering they aren't that big inside, so that's a plus. If you're looking for some good Chinese - Korean fusion food, this is your spot. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it was still satisfying to our bellies-- and the leftovers came in handy later too!

Idk. *shrugs* This time we got: Pad Kra Pao, Pad Se-Ew (beef), Yellow Curry (chicken), and Thai Style Papaya Salad for dinner. We each had a different favorite dish out of the three entrees... Pad Se-Ew was mine (noodle head), followed by the Pad Kra Pao (perfect flavor, not too strong on the basil, egg fried just right), then the curry last (I prefer green or red more). The salad was good, refreshing. No spice whatsoever, but we knew that (one of the girls can't handle as much spice). The winner of our dinner? The Thai Tea Flight! I love the option of flights anywhere I go. It gives you the chance to try all the flavors you're curious about without committing to one that you may or may not like. Man... these were amazing. If I had to rank the flavors-- it was a toss-up between the Original Thai Tea and the Ube but since this is the battle of the Thai Teas... the OG gets a slight edge. Both freaking amazing though (we ordered full sizes of these after). Obviously Thai Iced Coffee comes next but coffee should be it's own category. It wins on its own as coffee. The Green Thai Tea came in last for all 3 of us, I believe. It's good, just not as good as the other three... and it's definitely more fragrant? Idk the right word for it. Anyway, I'd make more stops here just for these drinks alone now that i know how good they are. Staff was amazing. Friendly. Attentive. Restaurant still very aesthetic. Their plating of the meals? A+. It was a very good dinner.
