Mongolian grill needs to come back. Shrimp and sea food are flavorless, the quality of the food needs to improve. Looks like the rice was fro yesterday, noodles look like they've been there for 5 hours and it is only 12:30. Waitress is trash. Lighting could be a lot better. Ok, on a friend's recommendation I tried this place out. This place is a gem! Very clean, and surprisingly good food options on the buffet! The house chicken was my fave, but the kung pao, sesame chicken, and honey chicken are great as well. I am changing my review to one star because there is not an option for zero. I will NEVER go here, again. The owner is rude and with it being an election year, he felt it appropriate to tell me how America and it's people are just big bullies and that China is so much better than us. That we need to not worry about Tiawan and other democracies over there because it's none of our business. I honestly left there a little scared of him AND his unfriendly staff. A rather pleasant experience. Now to be honest, we are not typically fans of buffets. But as we decided to try one of my Dad's (RIP) favorite places on this day (for lunch), we did not know it was now, exclusively, a buffet. We were told that due to wide fluctuations in the number of customers, and a difficulty with hiring, it is making more sense to suspend ala carte offerings. Since were here, and hungry, we gave it a go. I got to say, pretty good. Very nice selection and variety too. I tried most everything, and liked most everything. Thuy and I agreed on out least favorite things, and that was the soups; egg drop and hot & sour. Not bad, just not the best. I personally would have liked the traditional spicy dishes to be spicier, but Thuy was OK with them. Our dirty dishes were cleared quickly and what little interaction we had with the staff was pleasant. One other oddity is only a single flavor of ice cream was on offer... Vanilla. But a few other sweet offerings filled the gap. I made enough trips that I was totally stuffed by the end of this gorging! Bottom line: Definitely worth checking out, especially if you are hungry. PS. I forget the lunch price, but lunch and dinner are different, with dinner being a bit more expensive. So if you want to check this place out on the cheap, come for lunch. read more

We ordered a to go for a lazy Sunday. Easy ordering on the phone and the order was correct. Huge amount of food for $22 a quick 15 minutes later. It was all very good -fried rice, hunan chicken, egg rolls and crab rangoons. We missed out on some sweet and sour dip for the egg rolls/rangoons but otherwise exactly what we wanted. My kids love buffets. I had a hard time agreeing but we went anyways. I should have followed my gut. Half the buffet tables had really nothing. Overall I'd say there were three. Dessert was seriously lacking for a buffet. We didn't eat anything for dessert. Once upon a time they had the make your own deal at the grill but thats no more sadly. The food was sub par. I ate mostly the teriyaki chicken with white rice (which was kinda mushy) but palatable. And the sweet n sour chicken. I literally spit out egg roll, it tasted like throw up, and my husband spit out the crab rangoon/wonton because he said it tasted like moldy cheese. After that we didn't feel like eating much else. I definitely will not be patronizing this place again. Wasn't the cleanest either. Save your money. read more

I don't know what happened over the past 6 years that caused the severe decrease in quality. The food is TERRIBLE! My husband and I ordered take-out this week after not eating there in about 2 years. I ordered the sesame chicken. The meat was dry, tough, chewy. I couldn't eat it. My husband ordered the pork fried rice. He had severe diarrhea for about 24 hours. We ordered 2 egg rolls. The House Lo Mein was good (schezhuan style). The Won Ton soup was made with beef bouillon, which tasted nasty.

Came in at 3pm after an exhausting day of moving. Did not expect a hot fresh buffet of food. The lo mein and egg rolls were some of the best I've had. Very happy full family. read more

My wife and I tried this restaurant today and had their lunch buffet. It was really good, the food, the service, everything! Although the reviews are not very good, we heard that it is now under new ownership, and it really shows. Since I'm on a strict diet, I couldn't eat all the different varieties of dishes, like the sweet & sour chicken, the crab & cheese dish, the fried shrimp, etc. But I did eat some sushi, hot & sour soup, and best of all, the food that they cooked on the Mongolian grill. It was all great! My wife said the creme brulee was wonderful. They even told me if I was unhappy with something, just to let them know right away and they would fix me a fresh dish. I really suggest that if you've been there before, you give it a second try. And if you haven't been there yet, ignore the reviews and give it a try. read more

We have been in Granbury a couple of years now and we never considered this place because of bad reviews. We were told they had new ownership so we gave it a try. WOW! The food was fantastic. I loved it! I was craving Chinese food and ordered pick up. Egg roll, crab rangoon you get 8 for $3.25!, hot and sour soup with plenty of goodness not just broth, spicy Szechuan Beef! I like a lot of spice so next time I'll order extra spicy. The vegetables were great, nice and firm, a little al dente just like I like. The broccoli, carrots, onions, and zucchini had a nice crunch to them, not soggy or limp. Everything's very reasonably priced and delicious! Buffets all around are suffering during this time esp. while awaiting a vaccine for Covid19. Maybe all buffets should consider having servers like Luby's serve the food instead that would be the best way. Otherwise, have all customers grab one time use cloths or napkins (that can be tossed in a basket to be washed/sanitized) when handling the serving spoons or plastic gloves (less enviro friendly) - New plate new napkin to grab the serving spoon handles. Then toss the napkins in a laundry basket at the end of the food station. Just a thought. read more

We haven't been here in years because it had gone downhill so badly. During the shutdown, we heard that they were under new ownership and decided to give it a try. Very glad we did! I love this place, I really do. We come here so much that the person who works here knows exactly what we want when we order drinks and other things. Sometimes they add special foods to the buffet on holidays or events. We order something for the baby to eat, but of course they sometimes will mess up, but they solve the solution as soon as there was an issue. Very affordable if your trying to fill your tummy. You always want to get here in the middle of the evening or morning, otherwise the food will be a bit stale. Great place to hang out with family and talking at the table. If the food is cold/stale, you can ask for fresh food and have no problem at all! They also give military discounts if you were in the military. The sushi is also very good and you can ask for "some" specific foods you would want to order. read more

The last time we visited this restaurant was quite awhile back. It was disappointing because most of the food on the buffet had been sitting there quite a while and wasn't very appetizing. Right after we finished eating a HUGE cockroach walked across the wall right beside me. It took all I had to hold down my lunch. We decided it would be our last time there. My husband asked if we could try it again several months later on Valentine's Day. We walked in and it smelled like a bait store. I immediately told my husband that I couldn't eat there. There was a sign at the door stating that they had a special buffet that day. Crab legs and other types of seafood. Um no. Not when it smells like rancid bait. We left without eating.
