The chicken fried steak was very good, however, more than I wanted so I shared half with hubby which made it a good portion for both of us. It is highly evident every local knows and loves this place, and I can see why. My family of 4 popped in on a Friday at lunch and the limited parking spaces available should have been a sign of things to come. It was busy, with nearly every table full. Our waitress was like a busy bee, flying from one place to the next, but handling her tables like the pro she is. The food was buffet style. For 15 bucks, it was all you can eat bone in fried chicken, beef tips with rice, HAND breaded chicken fried steak, catfish... yes please! They had sweet baby carrots, green beans, mashed potatoes, pinto beans, a salad , cornbread or yeast rolls and your choice of dessert... triple chocolate cake, peach or cherry cobbler. Sunday lunch was great! Chicken fried steak was on point like always! Fried Chicken was as perfect as I'll get out! Juicy, crispy and seasoned to a T! Sautéd cabbage was delicious! Rolls were off today, but that has never happened before, so I'm gonna let that go. Everyone was so friendly and it seems like just a family get together, and less like a restaurant on Sunday after church. Lovely as always! Went here for lunch on a Saturday, we got in and was told to find where we want to sit. After waiting awhile, a waitress came and took our drink order and explained that they have a lunch buffet. Sorry to say that it didn't match the hype. I was hoping for a better eating experience. To clarify, nothing was bad. But nothing was great. Maybe it was the menu for that evening (it changes during the week) but while everything was palatable enough, nothing stood out. The service was efficient and the atmosphere was fine. My brother and I went in for lunch. When we sat down it took a little while for the server to get to us which wasn't a huge deal. We both eat small portions so when she got there I asked to see a menu and was never brought one. When we got our drinks I asked for menus again and was told that pretty much everyone eats the buffet. We were running out of time and just wanted to make our next appointment. I told her that we needed to eat and would just go with the buffet. She then said that it I really insisted I could have a menu. We went thru the buffet and they were out of the meat we wanted and was told that it would only be 5 minutes. 15-20 minutes later and CFS finally made it out. We ended up filling up on potatoes and bread because we needed to eat. I've never had to spend 32+ dollars on a couple of potatoes!! Stopped here for lunch while visiting Dublin. It was the highest rated restaurant in the city, I excepted it to be decent. Walking in nobody greets you, and the entire place looks filghty. Dirty windows, dirty tables with food still on it. Went to look at the buffet food and it seems like cafeteria food. This is pretty sad if it's the best option in town. We were in search of a home style cafe during our girls weekend road trip. We stopped in Dublin at Granny Clark's Restaurant. We were told to seat ourselves and our waitress immediately took our order. We all chose the breakfast buffet. The omelette station is equipped to make any omelette exactly the way you like it. It tasted great with just the right amount of portions of ingredients. The bacon was "out of this world" and reminded my mother of her days on the farm growing up. Dublin is a small town with limited options. Granny Clark's is always busy. They have a buffet for most meals. To say I am not a buffet person is an understatement...I won't eat at one. They do have menu options and they take much longer since they are busy supplying buffet items. The restaurant is clean and service was good. Great service and perfect breakfast. Eggs were done just the way I ordered them. And to top it all off, a 92 cent cup of coffee!!

I'm not entirely sure what the buzz is around this place. Nothing but great reviews, was packed when we got there, to be disappointed. They are pretty much a buffet style restaurant, with minimal items on the regular menu. The people were so nice. But the eggs were clearly like a boil in the bag product or something-similar to free breakfast at a hotel. The sausage was very processed put together and easily fell apart, bacon was fine-hard to not have good pork bacon. The biscuit was very very good and the gravy was good. The coffee was watery and not very strong. I will also based on an observation, the people behind us ordered before we got there. They ordered a breakfast taco and an omlette and did not get their food until after we paid which was 30-45 minutes after us being there. I wish this establishment nothing but the best and the wonderful people running it this is my raw truth filled opinion from the experience that I had. read more

I was here in June 2022 for breakfast and dinner. I thought the food was tasty and really good value. I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was compared to California prices. I think my breakfast was either the blue plate or senior special and out the door the price was well under $10. Compare that to California where $10 won't even get you a burrito! The dinner was a buffet and they were having a throwback to their grand opening price, which made it a fantastic price! For a small local restaurant they had a good selection of food too. Food was excellent and great low prices. Plenty of off street parking too. Besides visiting family, Granny Clark's gives me another reason to visit Dublin. Wish I lived closer! read more
