We went during lunch on a Saturday. Limited menu. Definitely want to try dinner menu. Salad was delicious. My hot chicken sandwich was very tasty good chicken. Not a fan of the brioche bun in general. My main problem was the sandwich wouldn't hold and got sloppy quickly. Still enjoyed it but would use a different bread. Fries really good. Would have gave 5 stars but service was slow. Seated quickly, ordered quickly but took about 40 minutes to get food and they were probably half capacity. Don't mind waiting for good food but it felt a little long for my liking. I will be back as I've seen the quality of food and spirit of the place. Definitely going back for dinner. That's what I'm most interested in. Keep up the good work!

Spectacular new Spring menu. Oma Leen's never disappoints. The staff is fantastic, authentic, genuine, and always with a smile. This is a must-stop or better yet, a must-go.

What an amazing steakhouse! Great scotch selection, smooth music. Not too loud, but lively. Bartenders were attentive and on point. I had the ribeye steak and a side of Mac & Cheese. Bartender asked which was better and I actually had to think about it. Steak is better, but for Mac & Cheese to compete with a good ribeye says something!

What a true gem this place is, located in little Hico, TX it is off the beaten path but well worth the trek for a fabulous dining experience. It's a quaint restaurant at the bottom of an old hotel and has a bar from the 1800s in it from some Dodge City, Kansas. Rustic, authentic, cowboy stuff- it's legitimate. And the food, wow, just wow. From what I understand it's an ever changing menu based on the seasons and what the farmers have. We were on night 2 of their menu and it was amazing. We started off with the biscuits... damn they were good. Served with a cinnamon butter and peach jam. Normally I would never but jam on my biscuits, it's just not my thing. But, I did it here and it was unbelievable. I've eaten quite a few biscuits in my life and this was the best I've ever had. The combo of the cinnamon butter and peach jam was an out of this world experience. The wife and I each ordered an entree that we split. The summer pasta was a lovely dish made with homemade pasta (hard to beat that) a cream sauce, corn, and poblano peppers. We added shrimp, which were large and tasty. The pasta sauce had just the right amount of spice from the poblano and was truly a delightful dish. Hats off to the chef. We also ordered the burger. It was basically a jalapeno popper burger and OMG what a treat, cooked medium on a brioche bun. On the burger was a light spread of cream cheese, freshly grilled jalapeños, and a peach bacon jam. Served with what appeared to be a homemade Dijon mustard on the side and hand cut fries. The fries had just a hint of sweetness on them. The overall flavor profile of the burger was a wonderful combination of sweet yet savory. Genevieve was our server and just like the food experience, she was lovely too. Took good care of us and was very personable. I fancy myself as an amateur food critic and this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in several years, hands down. This place is incredible, don't miss out!

Good was amazing. The service was superb. Atmosphere lovely. It was my 55th birthday and I wanted to try Oma Leen's at the new place. I'm so glad we were able to get a table that night. Wonderful evening with amazing food, drinks and service.

I would like to consider myself a world renowned fry expert...... the fries here are in my top 5. Sweet, Smokey, cooked to perfection in beef tallow Lord take me to HiCo The cutest interior semi reminds me of New Orleans funky eclectic with the coolest antique bar. The bar section is amazing.... Pappy included. My husband and I just shared the chicken wrap which was awesome. All service was welcoming and friendly. We will be back !

Just get in a Rolls Royce, leave the cows on the ranch, and take your prettiest milk maid out for a nice meal. You can't go wrong.

Gourmet food, world, class service, extremely nice ambience with thought out build out in one of the most beautiful old build-out in the gorgeous little town of Hico. I encourage you to save up your money, go there for dinner and take a friend! I think it has a contender for the most beautiful bar in North Texas. And the wait-staff isn't so bad looking, either! From a one horse, sleepy old Dusty, Texas town with one good restaurant, the Koffee Kup Kafe--- Hico has now elevated itself with wonderful choices, including the incredible dining room at the magnificent, fully restored Midland Hotel. Hico has become a great destination for people willing to drive a few miles south of Stephenville and for some, an hour from Fort Worth. I highly recommend Oma-Leen's as one of my favorite restaurants! They do everything well-- please don't miss the fried chicken! And the wine list is impressive!

Bloody's were very good. Not sure what was in the pitcher, but they were not made by pouring out of a bottle of Zing Zang. (which I do like btw) This is in a very rustic, hastily put together space, and now that the problem child is gone. it is time for some upgrades and a makeover - as John has suggested. You have your proof of concept, now just dress it up. A suggestion on the sound. It was pretty much inaudible upstairs. I could hear that ya'll were talking - just very hard to make out the words. Which was a shame because I really wish I could have made out the Q&A Session better. I saw speakers everywhere - they just were not sending words to me. Not sure if it was better downstairs.

From what I understand the establishment is under New Ownership. Management, from my experience is killing it. The menu has a lot of options and literally everything wa appealing. I'm a Wing guy so that was a given. Big Wings cooked and seasoned perfectly served with what might be the best hand cut Onion Rings I had in a long time. If I remember there were like five flavors and I'm sure there was no bad choice on flavors. There is also a Steakhouse from what I'm told serves a very good Rib Eye. I should also mention the Burgers were said to be the best around. The Bartender Jennifer was very nice and made some tasty Cocktails. They also had a very good selection of Beers and some that seemed to be Texas favorites lol. I had a chance to talk to the Manager Reggie who was a nice guy. He said they have live Music some days. The place was.complete with a Stage and an area for Dancing. He said Ted Nugent was there recently. Definitely it my thing but to each his own. It's off the beaten path but as I said a great place to go to get away for a few Hours. Next time I'm in Fort Worth I'll probably go again. Especially if I find a business that Rents Bikes. Still thinking about those Wings. Lol. Yallhollatchaboy'.

We were seated at one the booths for two along the wall overlooking the open kitchen. I intended to order a Manhattan but upon discovering they're pouring Gallo vermouth decided on a Maker's Old Fashioned which was nicely done. Anne went with a glass of an Italian Pinot Grigio. I ordered that as well with my entree. We started with the shrimp ceviche. This is a unique rendering of the dish and quite enjoyable. The portion, however, was surprisingly and remarkably small for $17 even by upscale FTW/Dallas restaurant comparisons. The Caesar salad presentation here is so creative. See my pic. The dressed whole Romaine leaves are arranged in a toasted Parmesan cylinder which you crush up, slicing the leaves yourself to mix. The dressing is excellent. Again the portion is small, especially to share. But the price point is reasonable at just $10. We both opted for the grilled quail. This was the star of the show. The quail were nicely seasoned and perfectly grilled. The mound of crisp, fresh Arugula sang with the most perfect Arugula enhancing vinaigrette we have ever tasted. The poached pear, compressed beets, and seasoned walnuts all complimented so perfectly these grilled birds. So good. If we were locals this would become a regular destination for.

When we finally arrived, what could've been a ruined evening turned into one of the most memorable nights we've had. Every single person we encountered at Blackland was incredibly kind and welcoming. Marshall greeted us with warmth, and Jeremy? He's not just a bartender--he's a cocktail artist. The drinks he crafted for us were next-level, easily some of the best we've ever had.
