The sign that says Free vitamin D is cute. I am sure this park was very cool in its hay day but now it needs some major upgrades. The play holes are in terrible condition. I know we are not the best golfers, but seriously it took forever to get our balls in the holes. The place does have a cool hippy vibe which was one of my favorite things about it. I also thought the older gentleman was kind too, he let me have a little bit of his plants, but seriously, man, get some upgrades. The price is reasonable. Was there a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday and I had not been there in over a year but my last time was a good time. As I arrived at the front door there were 2 guys in line with "untucked" shirts. I saw a little sign in front of them that had a picture of a snub nosed handgun. Apparently, they have a new rule where if you have an untucked shirt you must lift it up and turn around in a circle so they can see you are not carrying a firearm. VERY FAIR AND I GET IT. I'm actually all for the safety of everyone. Well...the 2 guys ahead of me walked right in and pass the doorman after showing their ID. But when I got to him a manager walks up to the doorman and informs him "It's important that you search everyone who comes in". Ok.... so he makes me do the shirt lift and turn and once convinced I had no gun he let me go in.... but I was curious. So I stand there and watched my other 2 "untucked" shirt friend come in, show their ID and walk right in without being searched. From behind them, 2 more "untucked" shirt people walked in after showing their ID's....no search. I felt really embarrassed and humiliated and my friends were in a bit of a shock as well. Because the only difference between me and the 6 people who did not get checked for firearms was my dark skin tone. But it's not all negative. The music was great and the bar staff was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. I would love to come back but after the incident to get in to this place....I think it's better if I didn't.

I'm fairly certain I saw the Brad Pitt of Stephenville. The line is short. I submitted my request and was scared to find I was next in line! But, don't worry. I rocked the house...
