    a dirty air duct
    Carren R.

I have been here several times but this location seems to get more dirty each time. Today I walked by these vents in the hall way, either air flowing in our out and they are so bad not sure how they don't get noticed or have a health department problem. The blinds, the floors, napkin holders, lights, everything needs a very deep cleaning. We ate and the food was ok but with these standards makes me wonder. Please if you own this place and are reading this take it as constructive criticism. I have included a couple quick pics of the vents walking toward the restroom. How long have these been missed? Gross. The server was fine she just forgot to put in half our order but mistakes happen.

Food is ok. Found eggshells in my food. But service is good. But haven't been back since they made it nonsmoking.

We were seated at one the booths for two along the wall overlooking the open kitchen. I intended to order a Manhattan but upon discovering they're pouring Gallo vermouth decided on a Maker's Old Fashioned which was nicely done. Anne went with a glass of an Italian Pinot Grigio. I ordered that as well with my entree. We started with the shrimp ceviche. This is a unique rendering of the dish and quite enjoyable. The portion, however, was surprisingly and remarkably small for $17 even by upscale FTW/Dallas restaurant comparisons. The Caesar salad presentation here is so creative. See my pic. The dressed whole Romaine leaves are arranged in a toasted Parmesan cylinder which you crush up, slicing the leaves yourself to mix. The dressing is excellent. Again the portion is small, especially to share. But the price point is reasonable at just $10. We both opted for the grilled quail. This was the star of the show. The quail were nicely seasoned and perfectly grilled. The mound of crisp, fresh Arugula sang with the most perfect Arugula enhancing vinaigrette we have ever tasted. The poached pear, compressed beets, and seasoned walnuts all complimented so perfectly these grilled birds. So good. If we were locals this would become a regular destination for.

The CFS that I saw on other tables did look really good, ngl. The decor is really cool. There's a 70s/Once Upon A Time in Hollywood vibe going on for sure. Would recommend and will return.

Whistle Hill's Café - Downtown (Weatherford)…read more It was a friendly atmosphere and tasty breakfast. I came here with family to enjoy southern hospitality food and that we did. We ordered their daily special and an omelette. Both dishes tasted great from scratch, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. From the outside, it looks small with light colors brick painted. Once you step inside, you can tell they were creative and made good use of the space. Inside was my favorite. Western theme throughout. At the front entrance, where on each side windows looked like used to be storefront windows, they made them into seating cubbyholes. If you look to the right, I loved seeing brick pop out and large letters, "WEATHERFORD," written on the wall, with pictures below it. In the very back wall they had a wall-sized mural of Texas flag. Very nice touches throughout the place. You have good options for seating, with twenty-plus tables and forty-plus chairs. The staff were friendly and helpful with drink and food options. If you're looking for good Texas hospitality atmosphere, I'd recommend stopping by.
