China Café -- 08-28-26 I had lunch at China Café with my grandson, and we had an enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was good. You can order from the menu or choose the buffet. We decided to try the buffet, and the food was hot and appeared to be fresh. There was a good variety to choose from, including soups, salads, desserts, ice cream, and many traditional Chinese dishes. Some of my favorites were the coconut shrimp and General Tso's chicken. We both really enjoyed the egg drop soup and hot and sour soup as well. The dining room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of seating. One nice feature was being able to watch the chef prepare the sushi. There was also a good variety of sushi available. As with any buffet, some days can be better than others. This was definitely a good day! The food was satisfying, the selection was good, and most importantly, my grandson and I enjoyed our lunch together. Egg rolls were all pate, ragoons & fried pork were greasy. 2 dif Fried rice were flat (soy sauce) rescued them, Won Ton Soup (2) were too watery with no green onions to @least enhance the flavor that was pretty bland, the Chicken/Broccoli were just okay, Orange Chicken was okay but held lemons not oranges, Mein was just okay. We ended up at this little gem today for lunch. We got there at 1:15-1:30, the restaurant was probably 3/4 full. All of the food was hot and fresh. By far some of the best black pepper chicken and orange chicken I've had. Our server, Kim, was amazing. We never had to ask for anything, she stayed on top of our drink refills and keeping the table clean. If we are ever over in this neck of the woods again we will definitely come back! read more

Well I came in and tried the food it was great and the service was great but for a senior discount online it said $11.99 otherwise 1299 so that's why I came in but when I got there they said it would be 14 something almost $15 without a drink if I would have got a drink it would have been $18 and some change so very misleading y'all should update your web site read more

Someone has a grudge against this place or the owner or something because those 1 star reviews are wild!! I have no affiliation to this business or owner. We eat here at LEAST once a month. In 2 years that's a lot of visits. Only once were we a little disappointed in the buffet. And it was close to closing. ALL the other times have been outstanding. The food here is excellent. The small selection is cooked and seasoned well. The service is exceptional! We are always so happy when we come here to eat. Our waiter knows our drink order and he's just a shining light. I only take the one star away because I grew up in California where the Chinese food is STELLAR so Anywhere I go there is ZERO comparison. But four stars in my book is still pretty damned good as far as that goes! I noticed China Cafe one day when I was headed to the Dollar Tree, and me being in quarantine right now n FINALLY being able to stomach more than saltines I gave them a try thru Grub Hub (exercising Social Distancing!!) it was easy to order of course, I'm just glad to finally be in an area that uses GH lol The food was made really fast and delivered faster - even tho my driver didn't even inform me that he'd dropped it off at my door (a KNOCK or TEXT would have been nice!!!); my food bag sat outside for almost 20 mins before I thought to refresh my app n ck the status of my order ugh ANYWAYS THE FOOD!!! When I opened the bag I was a lil annoyed that the food was no longer hot but I'm not holding CC at fault for That. Everything is nicely packed into plastic (reusable) containers (PLUS), good portions for the price (AWESOME) LOTSA shrimp in the rice noodles and the green beans were cooked Just Right n still crunchy (SCORE!) I tried a couple pieces of the Orange chicken n I personally would have used less breading but the sauce was nice and light, not overly heavy n sticky like most other Chinese food places and I liked the fact that you can request more spice in all of the dishes. (File THAT lil piece of info away for later use ) The Rice noodles had good flavor if you like a VERY mild dish, I had to add shoyu to mine to kick up the saltiness (my taste has been a lil off since quarantine tho so it could just be ME) I also liked the texture and flavor of the green beans, again very mild but I'll reserve TOTAL judgement til AFTER my buds are back to normal lol) I WILL try them again, tho next time I'll maybe pick up my own or send the hubs. I ordered the String Beans and Roast Pork Combo. I asked for Spicy and there was no spice or flavor to be had. They forgot the eggroll that came with it.. I also ordered the banana pudding. It tastes just like it was fresh made from a box. Were there supposed to be vanilla wafers? If so, they were missing. All in all, I would not order from here again. read more

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Took my son here for his 17th birthday tonight and I still can't believe what happened!!! A fly was in a dish and I went and told a employee he went and got another guy and I watched them go over there and scoop out the bug but keep food there!!! I said are y'all going to take the food away it had a bug in it and he said NO that the guy he was with who looked like a manager said to keep it there. I then informed the district manager and she looked like she didn't believe me or didn't care not sure. I was telling her and she was so nonchalant too. I showed her the pan and she went and asked the guy about. Eventually she came back and said they're making a new one. By that time I lost my appetite and told my husband I can't. My kids were about to eat food and I just couldn't if they are not going to value sanitation than I don't want anything to do with it!!!!!!!!!!!! Ordered take out since I'm staying at a nearby hotel. Fried dumplings are delicious! Perfect crisp and not greasy. Also got the sweet and sour chicken combo with lo mein. The chicken is great. First time ordering, employees seemed nice and assured me they could eliminate anything from an order because they are made fresh. I ordered Moo Goo with NO mushrooms and pork fried rice. Get my order home and what's on top...TONS OF MUSHROOMS. This plate comes with a white sauce, not sure how it is made but it had numerous globs of a clear gelatin in more like a soupy broth and the saltiest pieces of very chewy chicken. Now the pork fried rice was a bit different too. It has large pieces of pork, onions carrots and peas in yellow rice. Truthfully I thought it was Mexican rice. I am not a fan of onions and there were LOTS OF THEM. The egg roll was good, not too greasy and to finish it off I had a broken fortune cookie.
