We have been coming to this location since it opened. It was our father's favorite place to eat. Since he is no longer with us, we thought we'd go there last night for his birthday, to celebrate him. We had not been back since Covid. The food was absolutely awful! Many trays of food mostly empty, even after I mentioned this, the trays were not replenished, and the food was cold. The soup I took was literally cold. How does soup get cold? I don't believe they would have passed inspection, had the health dept showed up last night. Good spot for my parents. They love the variety of food. Same selection of fast food Asian take out like beef/broccoli, general tso chicken, chow mein, various sushi, skewers, and dim sum. They do have some mussels and crab depending on the availability, but no snow crab legs. They do check to make sure seniors and kid are there to get the discount. I usually hate buffets but when I heard the rave reviews I had to try it. Unbelievably cheap, delicious Chinese food!!!!! The sushi is okay but you're not there for that- Tokyo central is right next door. The price for getting all of your Chinese food favorites is cheaper than ordering one entree at a takeout spot. Came here with a party of 17 for my step mom's birthday. We already knew it would be busy before we got there. My dad called a few days prior to make the reservation, and they said there were 4 other large (75 for just one party) parties. Most of our party was seated and got their drinks before they wanted to grab food. It was pretty packed inside trying to get food. I read it too late, but they have gloves set out by the plates and want you to use gloves when serving yourself food. Oops. The food was decent. Some stuff was really gross. Other items were pretty delicious. Normal buffet stuff to me. Service was great. We come here every so often to celebrate someone's birthday since it's cheap with a variety of different dishes, and seniors (65+YO) get a discounted rate. Perfect for my dad and his crew. If you want really delicious food, this is not the place. There's another buffet spot at the Del Amo Mall that's better but also 50% more expensive. A special spot my family and I go to! Very good variety of buffet food and it's delicious. Be expected to wait 10-20 mins for a table. The restaurant is always busy so staff is always running around and it can be loud. Plenty of parking spots in the area. We also enjoy the food there and have a great time. My friend took me to this restaurant because she noticed there is always a line in front of the restaurant! We were there last week for lunch! I was a little shocked that I never noticed this incredible all you can eat restaurant!!! Their food is incredibly tasty & with so many varieties! I have to do a walk through to see all the choices & picked out what I wanted to try. From chicken to beef, pork, fish, shrimp; and shellfish. In addition; they also have sushi, pizza & all kinds of desserts! It's hard not to go back and forth at least three times or more to try those delicious foods!!! Parking is perfect. The service is awesome! The food will bring you back. The ambience is very comfortable. The customer crowd can be quite aggressive and rude so for that very reason my friend suggested that we do take out. I love the set up. For take out the team members supply you with either foam take-out plates or side bowls. They keep the food coming and it's hot. There is so much to choose from. I tried to pick up a little of everything. Their honey chicken is the best. Their steamed white rice is addicting. Their orange chicken didn't have the orange flavor that I'm familiar with but it taste good. The egg rolls were perfect. Great seafood selection - steamed tilapia, salmon, fried fish and grilled mackerel; 3 kinds of shrimp, grilled squid legs, clams, mussels, snow crab legs. I went yesterday afternoon and was very disappointed. Frist I practically had to beg for a credit card receipt. Then as a solo, they stuck me in the corner where the highchairs are stacked. No one offered to refill my water, no one came to see how everything was, even worse, someone was picking up dishes from diner's tables and walked right past me and left mine. They are not cheap on the weekends, $24.99 for adults. IF you have any kind of food allergies, be super careful. Many things a marked incorrectly if even at all. I picked up something to was marked chicken, it looked like chicken, but when I bit into it, it was shrimp. One or two signs were in Chinese which helps me not. They have a limited selection of sushi, but the wasabi EWWWW it was brown. I skipped it as I did not want to get sick. Oh, this is a very nice buffet. It's different on the weekends and the sushi is always really good there and I always like the tempura. So many tasty things. I was a little disappointed in the pineapple as it tasted like they salted it, which was not very tasty and beautiful like pineapple usually is. what I would like for them to do is to provide some little handy wipes for our fingers because we touch so many different handles and we are eating with our hands quite a bit! It's a value buffet considering the prices. We paid $48 total for an adult and a senior. (Seniors gets 10% OFF) Been here twice and both experiences were great. The customer service was swift. Has a variety of sushi options, seafood and meats. My favorite are the mussels with oysters sauce. For deserts, their aren't many cakes but, they so have soft serve ice cream. Interior is your typical buffet, and quite spacious. It's a little dirty the plates seemed pretty old. Parking was great too. Try to come after 5PM as it gets it but more crowded so fresher food comes out. Verdict: Would come again considering the prices. Just don't expect a lot from a basic buffet. read more

I am so disappointed at this restaurant. I went there on Saturday evening at 7:40 pm. They close at 9:30 pm. The service was absolutely horrible. The waitresses were cleaning the tables, chairs, windows, and folding napkins. I had to take my dirty plates to a waitress and ask for a cup of water. They also did not fill the trays. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Note to owner: If you say you close at 9:30 pm, then you should honor it. Been coming here for over 15 years and had a lot of memories here for quick dinners, birthday celebrations, elementary/junior high graduations and even paid for half the restaurant for funerals. Food and service were great back then. After today visit I will never return and will let all my family and friends know to not waste their time and money. Both waitresses on the left side today around 4pm 9/24/25 had very bad customer service. Tall skinny one with mask on wanted to argue and had bad attitude. My son walked up to the front and asked the Hispanic female to speak to a manager, she came over and stated manager is not here. After admitting the manager was on lunch I asked her for a managers business card. She brought a card and wrote a name on it saying we can call tomorrow. This restaurant has failed, as a business owner myself I would terminate the managers and waiters who feel they can take their anger out on customers. Also, you can tell when an employee has an attitude even when you were a mask, we can't read your lips but we still have ears that can hear the profanity used towards us, it also confirms when you walk away and pretty much throw the dishes into your dish bucket loud enough to hear if your outside. I've always tipped with bad service, just hoping that it helps a little of whatever bothers this person. Didn't tip today, it was too much this time. Won't ever be back here again. read more

We've been visiting China Buffet for many years, then Covid hit. Unlike most buffet places, China Buffet rebounded and reopened. Just like before, the food was good as well as the service. I must say that their hot and sour soup is really good. You can watch the sushi chefs at work making countless rolls, then placing them on the huge platters. As the food trays start to get low, a waitress will come out from the kitchen and refill and freshen up the tray. There's never an empty tray. The staff from the hostess to the waitresses are very helpful and pleasant to talk to. And their so appreciative when receiving tips from the diners. This place can accommodate large private parties with sectioned off dining areas, as well as a large dining area. There's also an outdoor dining area which is nice during these beautiful spring days. It's amazing how the waitresses can carry so many plates and cups at once, rather than making multiple trips to clean the tables. Just sit back and enjoy the food. read more

Seems like they are trying to hide their ice lol my drink barely had any Ice and my families drink were the same. When we asked for ice we waited for a long time and the server came back with only one cup of ice (for 5 people) when we asked for ice for everyone she said "one at a time" other than that, the food was average. The wontons though were delicious, I wish they would make them a little more crunchier lol price should be lessened because they do not have much of a variety. As for the Chinese food I would say it's more geared towards western audiences with dishes such as walnut shrimp, orange chicken, chow mein, the usual. Not the best but again for the price it's worth it. Some advice for the kbbq short ribs, it was extremely salty. Go lighter on the sodium and aim for a sweeter flavor. Just Google kalbi short ribs for the recipe. SERVICE: The staff should smile at customers but perhaps working for long periods of time has dulled their enthusiasm. Regardless, they will serve you and do their job. VENUE: China Buffet is situated in a large plaza with lots of space for parking.
