If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Food was HORRIBLE, crab legs tasted like they were spoiled. There was a dead roach on the napkin dispenser, to top it off roaches started coming from no where right behind my daughter where they had an open drink container. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK, do not recommend! There are better Chinese buffets elsewhere!

Been awhile since we had been and the sushi was fresh and very good. They have added crab legs on the buffet now. Not bad at all sorta pricey for what it is.

It's really been six years since I was here last and I would say that not much has changed. The Chinese food options are still the usual chicken in sauce or fried bits of meat in batter, there are a few choice that are perhaps a little less loaded in fat. I did get a couple of dumplings (grilled, not steamed) and a small pile of wontons. The sushi display is fresh looking and in good condition. Tidy and with no loose bits scattered about as one might see in a lesser establishment. Some that aren't covered in sauce or fried, which was nice. Service was good with empty dishes cleared and water refilled. [Review 9949 overall, 1529 of 2018.]

So it's been 4 years since I came here last due to rude and snobby waitstaff. The food was good but the customer service was left wanting. Four years later I am relieved to say it's improved. The restaurant is busy so when we arrived after 7 pm it looked 'beat up' a bit. The floors were in desperate need of sweeping and the buffet was not as full of food as I had hoped. We managed to pick small amounts of what felt like were left overs. The soup wasn't hot enough for me . The temperature was only semi warm. Definitely not hot. The made to order sushi was the winner. It was delicious. Would I come back maybe in 3 years ....

Shrimp Mei fun, bbq short rib, and lots more

I liked my visit here this past weekend;however, I used to love it. It has changed. There's a large variety of items. However, the sushi bar used to be much better. Now a Hispanic guy is making sushi and the results are what you think it would be. They no longer have shrimp nigiri and that was my favorite item. The rest of the buffet is decent. The fried flounder is very crispy. They have white rice in a rice maker, but it's almost hidden at the end of the buffet in a corner near the kitchen. Their short ribs were very good and had plenty of meat. My favorite is their mei fun. I added shrimp to it from other entree selections available. They had chicken and broccoli, mushrooms, the little balls of dough that remind me of a doughnut, clams, buffalo wings, fried chicken wings, soups, salad bar, a few desserts... including an ice cream machine. Their crab rangoon is terrible and so is their fake crab meat, so skip those. The service is kind of strange. All the waitresses wait on all the tables. They ALL gather in the center of the restaurant to talk then break to get things for the customers. There's a goldfish pond at the front of the restaurant and I love it. There's plenty of comfortable booths to sit at. Price for buffet is $20 per person, plus beverage cost, plus tax and tip.

Our server started pushing us to pay while we were still eating. I politely asked if I could pay at the front like I normally do, but she didn't speak English and became very pushy and rude. They began removing dishes from the table before closing time and before giving any kind of last call. I asked to speak with the manager, but when he arrived he also did not speak English, so there was no real way to properly explain the situation. At 9:01 pm we were basically told to leave. I completely understand restaurants have closing times, but there is a respectful way to handle it, usually by giving customers a heads-up and allowing them time to finish their meal instead of rushing them out the door. As someone who worked in restaurants when I was younger, I know that basic communication and courtesy are essential. What also felt uncomfortable was the atmosphere among the staff. The employees seemed extremely nervous and afraid to speak or explain anything, which made the whole situation feel strange and unsettling. It honestly gave the impression that they were scared to say the wrong thing or do anything outside of strict instructions, which was sad to witness. Overall, the food might be fine, but the service and the way the situation was handled made it a very disappointing experience.

Well, as soon as I hit the door, I can tell they changed a few things....decor-wise. The area near the entryway wasn't bad...if anything, a bit better? However, the buffet area was way worse. I'd definitely say downscaled. There was absolutely no vibe to the place. Despite the lofty size, it was dead silence. No overhead music...and not many diners either (on a New Year's Eve). In fact, I don't ever recall this place being so quiet. The buffet foods were also downscaled. The foods all just looked so bad...as in TV dinner quality? Some of it didn't even look fresh? In fact, I'm worried about the sushi that I had. They were some of the worst sushi I've ever had...as in EVER HAD!!! Also, they didn't even have some of the items I used to enjoy...liked steamed buns (or maybe I just didn't catch it??). Good thing that they kept the pricing reasonable...about $19 per person? Although I don't recall being blown away by the quality in the past (especially in the past decade), the foods were MUCH better in quality the last time we were here (2020?). It's truly sad because when this place first opened way back when, it was really good. However, with the change of management over the years from Jade to Ginza, things kept dipping downward. Both my husband and son agreed on just how bad everything was this time...and we also agreed that this is probably the last time we'll come here.

I expressed to be seated somewhere else and she seemed to have taken offense to me asking. As she was showing us to our seats she was walking through the restaurant so fast mind you guys, it was our first time there. Waiters walked by us several times before asking if we needed anything. It wasn't a good impression of the restaurant. We will not be returning. People shouldn't work in customer service industries thats face to face services if you're not a people person. This is all based off of my observation of the overall experience. We wanted to try something different outside of the buffet spot we normally go to and thought this would be a good experience but unfortunately it wasn't. The restaurant wasn't as big on the inside with the aisle being too narrow to walk in between without getting too close to the tables or having to stop midway to allow others to walk past. When your used to a certain level of customer service from other places, you can instantly spot the differences in the service levels. Not to sound mean which isn't my intent at all, but for those who go here on a regular and you enjoy the food dont stop if your pleased with the service. Continue to support them however, as for me and my family we didnt have a good experience and the first impression of the service was not a good one. I have always given credit where credit is due and this isnt to say that everyone there had poor customer service because that wasn't the case at all. I'm only referring to those who were servicing us. I actually had a very nice waiter who wasn't assigned to our table to come over and see about us because he noticed no one had been to our tables to ask if we needed anything. The food was ok. Our experience may not be someone else's. When we went it was very busy so it could have just been due to the crowd but at any rate when you're in a customer service industry its always best to put your best foot forward. The only reason im giving a 3 star is because of the waiter who was so kind and provided great customer service.
