The service was very nice! Wonton & egg drop soup were ok Crab rangoons were too sweet General Tso and orange chicken were not good. So bad I took a few different bites thinking it was a fluke; and threw the rest away. The chicken was poor quality, texture was very weird in both dishes, dry and tasteless. Awful food, not authentic, pricy for what you get. hot and sour soup only Had eggs and 2 pces of sliced Button mushrooms for a quart $5.00. Pad Thai very, very dry no sauce, no red pepper, bean sprouts or green onion and a few nuts in top corner only, and 2 oz of cooked small chicken strips, I weighed them, all small pces, of noodles.$ 10.50 and there is little filling in spring rolls Needless to say. Wonderful food and service. Will to drive a distance to get good food. They separate the rice from main food. Great way to do it.

The place is super small, but the food is really good. All the typical chinese food is available. Most of the people that came in was for pick-up, but they hace 4 tables available. The lunch special cannot get any better. $5.95 for meat of your choice with fried or white rice, and spring roll or soup of your choice. A very good deal! The size of the lunch special is a good for a starving person, me and my coworker both had left overs. They also have a small selection of thai food, and free hot tea. read more

My wife and I decided to eat here again tonight. We had the General Tso Chicken with fried rice. We had them make it with some hot this time and I must say it was both hot temp and taste wise. I really enjoyed it! We had some egg rolls and they were perfectly done. The family who owns this business goes over and beyond to make sure you are pleased with the service and food. Thank you very much!! We had some tea with our dinner tonight and it was great with just a bit of sugar. One other nice point is they are open until 10pm if you happen to get the cravings for an egg roll or two. You get quality food for a fair price... can't ask for more then that. read more

We are new to the area and wanted Chinese food. This one is close to home so we thought we'd give it a try. I wish we hadn't. Ordered the 2for$25 almond chicken and sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls and spring rolls. The food was swimming in grease and soggy breading which made it inedible. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like sugar. Fried rice was beyond bland and the lo mein noodles were too salty. The eggrolls were bland. We took one bite and threw those away as well. The only thing that was good was the wonton soup. We will never eat there again. Don't waste your money. read more

Fried dumplings excellent w/sauce. Most flavorful won ton soup. Nailed almond chicken, prefer their sauce which is a gravey vs jelled sauce at other places; like whole almons, more please. Lo mein best orderd as dinner, otherwise don't get much as a combo. We do not order anything with beef, not a fan of "coating", texture takes away from plate. Kung Pao Chicken was good, dark meat chicken was properly oil seared before stir frying, egg roll was small but decent, I was fascinated by the owners 6 yr old or so son who was practicing writing and reading at a table. He was so diligent because his parents who probably work 80 hour weeks is setting the tone for his success. They cook in the Fukien NYC style of Chinese food on the little Woks with tight gravies and not the watery Cantonese Style of stirfrying. read more

I've been here a couple times and I always get the same (General Tso's) so I can only vouch for that. It is soooo delicious!! I love that you can get the dinner and get 2 crab rangoons instead of an egg roll! I LOVE crab rangoons and they are very delicious here. Prices are very reasonable. Well this is the the third time my wife, over a period of months, and I ordered carry out. We have tried six different dishes and have the same opinion of them all. They serve up what has to be, in our opinion, some of the worst, over priced, so called Chinese fare we've ever tasted. Had the Lo Mein Special and a Beef Chop Suey dinner plate special. The Lo Mein was 90% soggy overcooked noodles and I had to search for the beef, shrimp, chicken and veggies that supposedly was included. The dinner plate special, the grossest,dried out,granules I supposed they considered fried rice. The brown sauce with the chop suey, more like slop sooie. China 1 benefits from a captive customer base and they wouldn't last 2 months if they were located where they had competition with the Chinese restaurants south of this area. read more

Not bad for Chinese. We needed something new in Almont and this is a great change. Personally, I thought the egg rolls tasted like they bought them frozen and then deep fried them. I'm big on a good egg roll and love leftover ones. These we had leftovers, and I pitched them in the trash. Our first visit we tried the Almond Chicken, very good! Chicken & Beef Lo mein, excellent! and the fried dumplings, so good!! It took a little while to get our order, but they were slammed. It was a Friday evening and they had just opened, so we cut them a lot of slack. I keep hearing that dining in isn't the greatest, but we prefer takeout Chinese anyways. Looking forward to trying more on their menu soon!! **ETA** We went and ordered again, I tried the Beef EggFooYoung, Excellent!! Tiny, blink and you'll miss it, restaurant in the far corner of the plaza. Reasonable prices, super fast service and seriously some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and sauced, generous portions and friendly service. read more

Went there right after they opened. My husband's seafood tasted spoiled....chicken was inedible...hard and dry....i didn't see any way to get a combination plate on the most items I would have ordered...had to pay extra for horrible won ton soup that had one huge thick noodle ...egg rolls went uneaten...and I had to pay extra for those. Maybe they've worked the bugs out, but their food just isn't good. Sorry I ever wasted the time and money...should have just went to Wah Wong! read more

Terrible! We should have listened to other reviews. This was the first & last time we will eat here. We ordered the beef & broccoli. The beef had a weird texture (I'm not sure it was even beef) and it was full of gristle. We had to keep spitting out pieces and laying them aside on our plates because we couldn't chew it down enough to swallow it. I wonder if the health dept. has ever paid a visit. read more
