Outstanding service and fairly priced! Service and inspection was thorough and process was explained in detail! Thank you Chimpro!

Chimpro came out to our house right on time! He even called 30 minutes in advance, as promise. He did a fantastic job, he took his shoes off when entering our home. After he packed up his equipment and drop cloths - we couldn't tell he was event there, it was spotless. Then, he spent a lot of time educating me on things I should be doing to maintain our flu in top condition. He was the best, most professional contractor we have ever had at our home in 30 years!!! read more

We recently moved into a new home and the fireplace panel is slightly cracked. We wanted to have someone come out and look at it to see if it needed replacement. I have heard that one needs to be careful when dealing with some fireplace companies as they will try to upsell consumers who know little about fireplaces (me). Sure enough, I was told upon my first call to a company that 1.) I'd have to schedule someone to come out and inspect the fire place before they would perform any work which would cost me more than $150, that no they could not replace the panel on that visit and that would have be done separately, and no they could not give me a general estimate until they come (and I pay them). This company has STELLAR reviews so I thought maybe this was just industry practice... But, I luckily contacted Chimpro to see if they were operating a similar procedure. They weren't. Paul was incredibly transparent, asked me to send him a pic to save him having to come out (which would have still cost significantly less than the first company). He then gave me a general estimate on the cost of work should I need it and told me he could do it all in one visit. I sent a pic and he advised me very quickly that it did not need to be replaced and about what I can do to help my panel. He also discussed other recommendations as first-time chimney owners for well over 20 minutes. He never charged me and I now know that I have a trustworthy and transparent individual I can call for future fireplace issues. read more

Update: I want Paul to come check out a new home for me! He is working really hard to squeeze me in. It may not work out given my super late notice, but these guys are really great and go out of their way to accommodate. Give them your business! read more

Paul is responsive, reasonably priced, and honest. You cannot go wrong. I had an issue with my fireplace and other companies were going to charge me hundreds just to come out and diagnose the issue. Paul came out and fixed it immediately. He didn't try to peddle any unnecessary cost on me but let me know my options. He probably wasn't even going to charge me because he resolved it in no time but I insisted. Great guy and also a veteran. Call him! read more

From the troubleshooting to the thoroughness, Chim Pro is the very best. We have an older home with a double chimney that wasn't used much by the last owners. We decided to have a fire during the holidays and our home smelled of smoke. We called and got an appointment immediately. Such friendly gentlemen showed up and installed a damper. We recognize there is a need for more work and because of how we have been treated will for sure go with Chim Pro. They take such care in covering surfaces, wearing masks and shoe covers AND even treat our two somewhat annoying dogs well. Highly recommend. read more

Johnny and Josh did a fantastic job inspecting my chimney. Very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

After having our chimney swept twice by other companies and still having a smoke odor throughout the house, I called Chimpro in desperation looking for help. Paul and his apprentice came out and showed me that the other companies didn't clean the chimney thoroughly. They quickly cleaned our chimney and provided several other recommendations to remove the odor. Despite having a full schedule, they made time to come out and help us. We are very grateful and would recommend them to all! read more

Paul has come out to my house a couple times to cap my chimney (we no longer have a fireplace) and clean out the dryer vent. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. When I first moved into my older (1940s) home, he went above and beyond in explaining the set up of my gas appliances and where they venting to, and gave me tips to ensure our internal gas line is safe (he even checked it for leaks on his most recent visit out here). I really appreciate the extra time he took to make sure our family is safe. I would highly recommend Chimpro for all your chimney and dryer vent needs! read more

After deciding to replace our gas log set with a newer, more efficient model, I also wanted to make sure that our chimney was in good shape. Our promised install date of "two to three weeks" became "two to three days" and I was pressed to find someone quickly. Even though it was a holiday weekend and he was technically off, Paul reached out and was able to squeeze me into his schedule the next day, even though he was booked out for weeks. He appreciated that I was trying to be proactive and wanted to help. He showed up on time and quickly diagnosed that the sweeping I requested wouldn't be needed. Instead, he checked the exterior of the chimney and made some recommendations on preventative actions - stressing that the need was not imminent. I was only charged for the inspection and was provided a lot of helpful tips. Overall, I'm very happy with the service and will be reaching out to ChimPro when I'm ready to address those issues. read more

Paul provided an excellent experience and left us with peace of mind knowing our chimneys were safe to use and now clean. He went out of his way to ensure we fully understood everything about our systems and provided preventative maintenance recommendations. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of chimney service and will hire him again for future inspections and cleaning. read more

Highly recommend! they were very easy to work with, very professional and efficient.

Fabulous. Paul was in touch and actually arrived early (when's the last time that happened to you??). He grabbed my beagle as she tried to escape through the front gate and carried her back inside. He was efficient and professional but also easy-going and personal. And while he educated me on my chimney and possible future service/products I may want or need, I never felt as though he was trying to up-sell me (in fact, after explaining things, he said, "your chimney is in great shape now, I'm just letting you know this stuff for the next few years"). I'm a big fan. read more

We haven't touched or used our fireplace in seven years-- I called Paul at Chipro and from the very start he was eager and ready to help us get our fireplace and chimney back into working order. He did an inspection and explained all our options thoroughly, and then only a few days later came back with his wonderful team and spent the day fixing everything. So excited to use this winter! From start to finish the experience with Chipro was flawless and I am grateful to have found them! read more

This company is great. I called for a second opinion on a service and it saved me an easy $100. All over the phone. I get the sincere Impression that these folks are true professionals. Thanks! read more

Paul is an amazing dude and very knowledgeable. I showed him pictures of my issues via text and we talked over the phone about possible fixes for close to an hour. His main concern was to avoid having to come out and charge me unnecessarily and I appreciated his honesty in the process. I know I will definitely use him for a chimney inspection or repairs in the future once I fix my issue! read more

I had an urgent chimney need. I called 4 other companies and they all gave me varying quotes and said they couldn't come for 1-3 days. Paul answered right away, gave me the best quote, showed up the same day, and was professional and thorough. He is also very nice and knowledgeable. He even did a few small things to help my dad who is very old. I'm so grateful I called him. I will be using him for all future chimney needs. I highly recommend. read more

I do not normally write reviews. In fact, I think this is the first yelp review I've ever written! But I had to write this one. I live in an older remodeled home. On a very windy morning, I heard a ~CRASH~ that sounded like my roof caving in, and I looked outside and realized that my chimney cap had flown off in the high winds from the third floor down the front of my house. This particular chimney does not have a flue and so now, my home was wide open to squirrels, bats and other critters who frequent the oak tree next to my chimney (on a third floor, high on a hill). With less than a week before Christmas entertaining and hosting, I needed to get this fixed! I called about four companies, and none could come to my home same-day. When I called Paul, of Chimpro, he took the time to talk through the problem, told me what he would do to fix it and told me he was fully booked but that he'd try his best to work me in and that he'd call me back if he found an open slot in his already packed schedule. In the meantime, another company agreed to come out the same day. That company had poor customer service, and arrived in a car with a different company name on the side. I got a weird vibe. In fact, during my interactions with them, 3-4 different company names were used (so clearly these were contractors, and not a small business). They charged me $69 just to look at the issue. Told me they didn't have the parts, but they could come back in 2 days and the total price would be $1100 to replace the chimney cap. In the meantime, Paul called back and worked me in! I could tell he was very busy with standing clients, but that he actually wanted to help me! His technicians arrived and couldn't have been more friendly, good-tempered and mannered. They immediately got to work, fixed my problem and then Paul noticed another problem and they fixed that, too. The best part was that I felt Paul was a straight shooter. No scamming, no swindling. An honest, knowledgeable business man. Felt like I was being dealt with by a trustworthy, honest person. This is so rare in today's day and age where everyone is trying to get you to spend way more than you really need to. Paul and his technicians were AWESOME. You can trust this company! read more

Josh and Kyle from Chim Pro in Alexandria VA saved me at least $1,800 dollars from the chimney guys with the "free inspection". Yesterday, the other guy (OG) got out of the truck and told me I obviously needed a new chimney lining; happens all the time he said. My problem the 11 year old GAS furnace was now producing condensation in the STAINLESS steel chimney. The condensation was dripping into the accessible attic and damaged the ceiling below; could see where the water was leaking from the seams just below the point where the chimney exited the attic. Any chance the chimney is blocked? No problem for the last ten years. OG said the problem was likely a CREOSOTE buildup or possibly rust through holes in the chimney. OG went on to explain the the chimney was probably too big and the MASONRY was likely breaking down and definitely needed a new stainless steel liner. Happens all the time he said. I suggested the condensation might be caused by a blockage in the chimney that caused the hot pipe to sweat since the hot air could not escape. Not likely OG said. What might cause such a blockage? Bird's nest I suggested. IMPOSSIBLE! There is a cap on the chimney. How about humoring me and check the chimney from the top I suggested. Reluctantly, he grabbed his 18 ft ladder. "That's not going to reach.".. It is fine OG said. We got to the back of the house and he moved toward the fireplace brick chimney on the low roof. I say again ... the gas furnace steel chimney 30 feet off the ground. It became very clear he was not fond of heights or ladders and I had already lost confidence in the company. Clearly the objective was to sell me liner, physics be damned! Just because I have a good education and live in a nice house OG assumes I don't know squat about how things work...or in this case don't. In contrast, Kyle and Josh from Chim Pro arrived exactly on time. Kyle climbed up the ladder, pulled off the chimney cap and......wait for it! Found a bird nest stuck in the chimney preventing the hot gas from escaping. The team worked to clear the blocked chimney and were very professional in explaining what they were doing. In summary Paul the manager and his team of Josh and Kyle provided great service. The blockage was hard to get at and they humored me by tossing a ball into the chimney, at my request, to prove the blockage was clear. The inspection and service fee was reasonable for 1.5 hours of effort. Quality work and professional service. read more

Another review to rave about Paul and his great service! He was able to squeeze me in when I called him last minute before the holidays. He is very knowledgeable and gave me some great information regarding how frequent I should get an inspection, signs to know when I need a clean, and verified if I was using the right wood. They offered the most affordable price for an inspection and clean compared to the other companies that I called for a quote. Will definitely be using them again! read more

Really great service and Paul has been a joy to work with. He and his team did a great job relining our chimney and have answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I've had. They are responsive and quick, and do a really thorough job. I highly recommend him and his team to anyone needing chimney work. read more

Paul was awesome. It was a quick visit, and the job was done! My chimney had never been cleaned, highly doubting the family who lived there before me had it cleaned too. Paul educated me on the status of my chimney and was able to do some minor repairs as well. He evaluated the status and said the structure was still very good. Highly recommend, great professional, and thorough. They were offering a promo of 79$ from 169$ which I felt was very very reasonable! read more

Paul was wonderful to work with! He confirmed our appointment right away, and courtesy called to let us know he was on the way (even offering to come a few days earlier since he was in the area). He was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining to us the state of our fireplace and chimney. He provided a clear, trusted service that you just can't beat! I would highly recommend Paul and Chimpro to anyone looking for a chimney cleaning/inspection! read more

Due to weather, the chimney work could not be done immediately. Paul kept me up to date regarding weather predictions and their ability to perform the repairs. Once they were finally able to do the work, they put down tarps inside to protect the room, wore shoe covers and masks, and even looked out for and moved a lamp they thought might be damaged. Paul and the team came back the next week to check on the water sealant on the chimney since, despite best efforts, it proceeded to storm after their visit. Paul made sure I was comfortable with the work. Great job. Can't wait for it to get cold enough for a fire this fall. read more

This company was great! They answered my call in a timely fashion. Was able to set an appointment with ease, gave a courtesy call and showed up on time! I reached out for a quote for chimney cleaning. Paul responded to me through yelp almost immediately with a reasonable price and an assurance of satisfaction. We booked the appointment for a convenient time later in the week. Paul called an hour prior to arrival, and was punctual. He came, set up, inspected, cleaned the chimney, added touch up, packed everything up, and gave me my paper and verbal report that the chimney has been cleaned and was in great shape. He's incredibly nice, professional and even knows how to handle and completely calm your dogs when he walks in. I will definitely use his services again. read more

We just moved into a home with a gas fireplace. At first we could not get it to work and scheduled an appointment with Paul to get it repaired. He called ahead to say he suspected it may just be the shutoff valve and that it may not need repair, but that he was happy to take a look and provide some general pointers on fireplace maintenance. In comparison with other companies I had contacted, he provided the best price and was transparent about the minimal work involved (others wanted to first charge full price for an inspection and address any necessary repairs afterwards and at additional cost). Long story short, Paul arrived on time, was professional and provided incredibly useful instruction on how to use and maintain our new fireplace. He even told us honestly that we should not expect any additional maintenance for this model! If you are looking for great pricing and transparent and proficient work, Chimpro Chimney Sweeps is the way to go! read more

Paul gave us an honest assessment of what needed to be done and did a great job completing the work. Other companies were trying to get us to do $1000 more. Already recommended him to neighbors!! read more

Ok they are AMAZING!!!!! Paul came over today to clean our chimney and he was so helpful and knowledgeable and just radiated positivity and honesty. He and his partner (who was also great) waited for an extra twenty minutes for my husband so they could make sure he understood a unique situation with our chimney and how to operate it safely. just an awesome experience from awesome people. I had a chimney cap blow off during the thunderstorms we've been having. Paul responded quickly and was able to replace the cap right then; every other shop I called was busy until at least a month later. They also put in a stainless flue liner. Very professional and helpful. read more

So thankful we found this company after years of ignoring our leaky chimney! Gotta say, could not have had a better experience with this company. Independent, veteran owned, and completely competent, he came out, fixed our damper in a very old fireplace, kept our house clean, played with our dogs, instructed me in pilot light operation of our fireplace, and is a good guy to boot. If you need work done in the fireplace department call here first. He is a small business with low overhead so the price was fair. We are completely satisfied. read more

Amazing! We called and they were available for a same day chimney sweep. Everyone was incredibly professional, polite, knowledgeable, and friendly! Will be scheduling them again next year! Thanks so much! read more

Just had my chimney swept. I was so impressed with Paul. They responded right away for my request for an appointment and I was able to get one very fast. Paul called the day before and that morning as a courtesy. I had gotten a groupon but will definitely continue to use them in the future cause their rates appear to be very reasonable. My chimney was terrible and he had to take two goes at it. Seeing all the creosote that came out I would have expected to get at least some dust in the house but there wasn't a speck. Added bonus: Paul is very friendly. I enjoyed talking with him read more
