Extremely Disappointed with Chimcare's Service and Product, go with someone else! Our experience with Chimcare started off positively--they did a great job removing a large chimney from our house and installing a gas fireplace insert. Unfortunately, everything went downhill after that. The gas insert they sold us, a Regency brand, has been nothing but a nightmare. Over the last three years, we've had to call Chimcare out to repair it at least eight times. Each time, the fireplace works for only a couple of weeks--or less--before breaking down again, often in the same way. Most recently, the ceramic insert they installed broke after just a few days of intermittent use. This strongly suggests that their technicians are not properly trained at installing the ceramic inserts, leading to repeated failures. Because of these issues, we've had a functional fireplace for only two months total over the last two years. This failure to provide a reliable product and service has significantly impacted our family. We've gone through two Thanksgivings and two Christmases without a working fireplace. To make matters worse, during the major ice storm last year, we were left without the heat the fireplace could have provided--something we should have been able to rely on to keep our home and two small children warm during a power outage. Despite our repeated requests, Chimcare has been incredibly unhelpful in resolving the situation. I've had to pester them with calls every few days to get any progress on having Regency honor the warranty. They are completely unresponsive/not-proactive unless I am calling them directly - technician, project planner, and front office are all favorites in my phone - at this point, I've had to call daily just to get any updates or action on what should be a simple warranty replacement. Their lack of proactivity and accountability has been exhausting and deeply disappointing and makes it seem like they are not actually trying to honor my warranty and for what we paid for in terms of service. It's incredibly frustrating to have spent so much money on this installation, only to deal with constant repairs, an unusable product, and a company that refuses to address their technician's clear errors. While their team is polite when scheduling repairs and when the technicians are present, politeness doesn't make up for poor service and unreliability. We deeply regret choosing Chimcare for our fireplace installation and strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their fireplace needs. read more

Full of gas and not action. Called them because my gas fireplace was not working. They came out cleaned my fireplace and put new batteries in the transmitter. Four day later, not working again. They came back out and put new batteries in the transmitter ... again. Was told, if it stopped working again, I would need to replace the transmitter. Few days later, not working again. I called to get the estimate for that replacement. Was told, I would receive a call back shortly. Never receiving that call, I called back a few days later. After 17 days later, me calling them 5 times and.... still not a single call back. I now will have to pay a more reliable service company to come out, only to tell me that it's my transmitter that needs to be replaced. I DO NOT recommend Chimcare Beaverton. If they want to make amends, please refund the money I spent on your service to pay for the other repair service charge I will now need to pay. read more

Stephany was great. I am a do-it-yourself sort. Needed a change cap for a wood stove. After getting poor service at a couple of places in Beaverton, I called Chimcare. Stephanie is very helpful, and they have a technician available to help you get the right thing. A very NICE piece of equipment. Fair price. It was expensive, but will last longer than I will. Contacted Chimcare for an estimate. We asked for our Chimney fireproof panels to be replaced, and the estimator did not verify what panels. Just listed the back panel on the estimate. I did not notice that before confirming workorder, so that's my fault, but the estimator didn't try to clear up any miscommunication about "fix our fireplace" and "rear panel". We wait over a month to get it fixed, then the installer comes out and installs just the back panel, and has an incorrectly sized fireplace grate (too big=poor measuring). He goes out and gets something to just put in there... Now it's too small. I call to complain about the miscommunication and the fireplace grate and was told someone would get back to me... 8 days later I call them back and express my displeasure with their estimating, installation, and customer service. The only answer is sorry, it was on the estimate. We can be out there to give you a new estimate for rest of the fireplace enclosure... AND, for the cost of the estimate, I thought I was getting the whole fireplace fixed. I was ok with that, but for 1 panel out of 4... the price is way too high. Just for comparison sakes, I looked up the back panel online and could have replaced it myself for 1/3 the price. Would not recommend them, and if you do, make sure to get every single item written down and clearly spelled out to you on what will be done. read more

If your chimney needs service, repair or replacement Chimcare is the place to call. I have investment property and needed four chimneys swept and inspected. Kelly was very courteous to my tenants and called ahead to let us know he was heading our way. When he arrived he introduced himself with a smile and a handshake. He was very clean about his work space at all times and continuously cleaned around him while sweeping. After the cleaning he did a thorough inspection and provided photos and video to view. Then took the time to explain in detail and answered all questions clearly and confidently. I'll definitely schedule Kelly annually to sweep my properties to keep them in top shape. All this service and a very competitive and reasonable costs. read more

I called them and scheduled for them to come to my house on 7.17.19. The day before coming they canceled but we rescheduled for 7.22. They called 30 minutes after someone was to be at our house to say that they are canceling and that they need to reschedule. We scheduled a third time and again they canceled. I tried again to contact them, but they had not returned my call or email. I cannot believe they are still in business. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. The company was thorough and efficient; they came up with a proposal after examining the chimney inside and out. The young contractor Jordan came 5 days later and fixed the chimney replacing the broken crown, installing flashing, pressure washing, and adding water sealant to the chimney exterior. Jordan came back the next day and installed the stainless steel chimney cap; he did a great job and the chimney looks great. The cost, however, is not great; 3.5 hours of work total for almost $5000 (they did give us 10% off having a veteran in the house). Charging $1296 for applying water sealant seems outrageous. I would recommend them although I think they are way overpriced. read more

The company did a good job communicating with me; I received a text notification about the technician running a little late and I received a call from an office manager. They ended up messing up my quote (quoted me for 1 flue instead of 2), and they acknowledged the mistake and serviced my second flue for free! I love a company that takes ownership for mistakes they've made and makes it right with their customer. Because of this, I have another $3,000 of chimney work to do and will be exclusively using Chimcare. Thank you to the technician, Steven G., for being polite and straightforward. read more

Hired Chimcare to rebuild our chimney from the roofline up. Starting from the phone service to the crew onsite, everyone was professional and respectful of our property. The job took about 2 days of masonry work and another 1/2 day with a tech to clean and service the insides of our fireplaces. Two tips that would have made it all perfect, show the masonry crew where to dump their clean-up water ( the mortar powder dried noticably on our landscaping) and research a damper clip if you need one. My bad, I paid $125 for them to install a 1&1/2" standard clamp which I have plenty of in the garage. Everything turned out beautiful, would hire them again read more
