She initially responded within a day and asked for drawings, which I promptly provided. Then crickets for a week. I followed up. She had been out of town, but re-engaged and said she would review my drawings and get me an engineering statement. Then crickets again. I followed up again a week later and again a week after that. She ultimately ghosted me. Communication and setting expectations is important. My project was delayed 6 weeks because Lauren was unable to do either. I've had architects tell me they are 6 months out from being able to start a project and I've decided to patiently wait. Other times, I might opt to move on if something is more urgent. Engaging with clients, making promises, then not following through is unprofessional and discourteous. Boo.

Better Air Northwest sent out an estimator (Eric) for free. He was really nice, helpful, and figured out how to solve our issue for a reasonable price! We received the estimate per email a couple days later and unlike other companies, no pressure was put on us to approve the job right away - instead we were given as long as we needed to discuss and ponder. As soon as we approved the estimate, we were contacted so we could get on the schedule. Somehow Edgar and Juan asked and also answered all the questions at the very beginning and we were able to do other things while they did these 2 jobs like the true professionals they are. They started by taping everything in the room with the closet, and it kept everything so clean! (Although they did clean up after - and left the place tidier than it started haha - not even kidding they cleaned our doormat I forgot to clean prior to their arrival!) The attached pictures were provided by them and show the beautiful job they did! But I've seen other little touches that proof they are all about getting the job done right. Could not have hoped for better - I would hire them and Better Air Northwest again anytime for any job they perform!

I was impressed by the process from start to finish and the noticeable difference in air quality afterward. The scheduling process was easy and transparent. I called on a Tuesday, and they were able to fit me within two weeks. The office staff clearly explained the pricing structure (which was fixed based on the size of the house, with optional add-ons like dryer vent cleaning) and sent a confirmation text the day before. The technicians, Andreas & Cody, called me 50 minutes before arrival, right arrived pretty close to the promised time. I knew there was construction down the street so I figured they would be delayed due to stopped traffic. The two arrived in a well-marked truck and was immediately professional. They took time to explain the negative pressure vacuum system they use, which involved hooking up a large hose to the main duct trunk near the furnace. They wore boot covers inside the house, which I appreciated. The cleaning itself involved systematically sealing off all registers and then using powerful air whips into each vent to agitate and loosen all the debris. They showed me the incredible amount of dirt, dust, and junk they removed from the main trunk--it was genuinely shocking and visually compelling. When finished with the vents they took on the dryer. The lint cleaned out of the vent and the filter was surprising. I expect the drying cycles will be quicker with a clean system. The entire process took approximately 5 hours. Once finished, they sealed up the access holes they created cleanly. There were only two rooms where they forgot to move furniture back in place. The immediate difference was significant: the air in the house feels fresher and less "stuffy," and the HVAC system runs noticeably quieter. I am confident that the removal of years of dust and allergens will benefit our household, especially during allergy season. Better Air Northwest delivered exactly what they promised: professional service, clear communication, and excellent results. Anton and his crew exceeded our hopes and requirements. This was a small project to update a small guest bathroom. The original contract was clear, clean, and Anton abided by all terms. We found the price to be fair and reasonable. Anton connected us with a collaborative designer with whom he works closely (Bonnie Johnson, Spruce & Steel Design). Bonnie added a synergistic fit with Anton, providing him with critical detailed drawings and managed us (the clients) relative to design choices such as tile, lighting, hardware fixtures, etc. What stood out as exceptional was the quality of the crew and the work each of them did. They arrived on time and worked incredibly hard. Impressive was their attention to small details that shaped the outcome. Last, the relationship with Anton (and his crew) was friendly, respectful and professional. Anton in particular responded to every inquiry immediately. This made for a wonderful experience. They even knew my pets names the first day. We hired Matt to paint the entire inside and outside of our house, the outside of our shed and shop, and pressure wash our driveway and patio. Matt bid the high-end Benjamin Moore outdoor paint by default, which was competitively priced with the lower end paint bids by others. The other unique item was Matt's work came with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If I had questions or thought something needed to be touched-up, Matt answered questions or touched up work no questions asked. He wanted to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was when added to the scope of work. I sent photos, he gave a bid, and we agreed to the price. When he came to the house, Matt said he could do the work less and reduced his bid even though we already agreed to the higher amount. Matt's team are good painters and it's clear he takes pride in the quality of his work. I strongly recommend him and would hire him again. The only heads-up I would give (not a negative, just a heads up) is if you want any texturing work done, make sure to communicate your expectations with Matt. Matt was clear with us regarding his team's texturing limitations, which I appreciated. Matt did a good job sanding and texturing to remove an obvious line across the middle of the room, this isn't part of his normal scope that was included in our bid.

They fixed some damage caused by other contractors to the exterior vent cover and piping and I'm not sure our dryer has ever worked so well. Their bid was not the lowest, but during the time spent preparing the bid they really convinced me that they knew what they were doing and would not cut any corners. From what I can tell they did not. I would heartily recommend them for any dryer venting needs you might have and suspect they do as fine a job with HVAC ducting as well.
