I found these folks friendly and wanted to go with a local dealer in purchasing a spa in order to support local business and get the best possible service. Signed a contract in June for a spa despite a very long wait. Was told that I was buying a production slot for delivery in December, and even asked to initial that I agreed to the delivery date. In the fall I asked to upgrade my spa choice but was told that it was already in production. It is now January and I have been told several times that my spa is further delayed and that production won't start until February. There are a lot of supply chain issues which I recognize, but I am not sure that I actually bought a production slot or just a promise that couldn't be delivered. I don't know why I couldn't make changes before production began. *The good* - Friendly local staff - Good communication, even when the news is bad *The bad* - Cannot delivery on promised timelines. I have to say, I have been nothing but thrilled with my experiences working with everyone from Haven! A great price on a pellet stove plus thoughtful installation - and if there's a hiccup as does happen, they own it and make it right. Bought a TN40 pellet insert from them and loving how much it's saving on my electric bills this winter! Also, they do a great price on quality pellets by the ton. On top of that, we had purchased a jacuzzi from a competitor a few years ago and ran into astonishingly-bad customer service. Haven has been the complete opposite and were able to fix our leaky spa and heat sensor on-site without hauling it into the shop for repairs (not always possible but nice that it was!) Randy, Stephan, Jeff, Tyler, and Marshall - and I know I'm missing a few other key people who made this possible - we really appreciate all you've done, your expertise, and your professionalism. Justin came out from Haven and was super knowledgable and found the problem within 10 minutes. I was super impressed with his experience and professionalism. I wish management would be more inclined to help provide service to my area more in the future. Not happy to pay for a $250 service charge to come out all this way, but to be honest their skill and experience level probably justifies the additional cost of having things resolved by an expert. read more

Just WOW! My friend recommended that we go to Haven Spa Pool & Hearth when we first got our above ground pool. We didn't know a thing about how to set up the appropriate water parameters until we met Marshall! She was absolutely amazing! So friendly, informative and kind. She made us feel like we were so important. It almost felt like dealing with your best friend...ya... she was that good!! When we had issues a few weeks later with getting the Alkalinity and Ph to balance I called her and she walked me through every step on how to fix the issue without having to make the 40 minute drive to the store. She made sure to reinforce that if we had any more problems we should call her for support. Marshall...customer service at this level is rare and I want you to know how much you are appreciated. I have dealt with this company for close to 9 years now and they have always taken care of me servicing our pool and spa. Randy has been great to direct me to buy the correct products for both the spa and pool. They test the water and only sell us what we really need. Jeff also has done a fantastic job servicing our gas fireplaces we also had them install a gas fireplace in a rental home that came out beautiful and under budget. I had a gas fireplace insert installed in my home last October. From start to finish the process was very smooth and each person I dealt with (initial review and estimate, installation, billing, etc.) was friendly, competent and professional. Stephan was particularly helpful answering questions I had about operating the fireplace given issues I was having with a long chimney run. I just had the one year maintenance completed. I was referred to above by NW Natural to have a blower install in an existing gas insert. I was told by NW it would be $109 service and $170 for parts and labor. I was billed $159. for service. I called NW to verify the service cost as I was charged $50 over quoted amount. NW said it was their understanding it was $109 for service. I called Haven and was told it is $109 just for them to come to the house, 1/4 mile from store, before they did anything. The hourly rate was $100 after that. The guy was here 28 minutes. I've dealt with these people in the past and they are very friendly and helpful, but last week I had an experience that wasn't too great. I called earlier in the day to confirm their business hours and planned on arriving about a half hour before closing to buy my spa chemicals so out of town family could safely enjoy a soak that evening. After arriving at 5:25 pm in crazy traffic, I was disappointed to find the lights dimmed and the door locked. The worker said the manager allowed them to close early because Thanksgiving was the next day. That's fine, but it would have been nice to know when I called earlier. Thankfully their competitors down the road in Aloha were open when they said they would be and my evening with my family in the hot tub was saved. read more

This is an Excellent place to but a replacement Spa Cover. Local supplier provides 5 to 3 inch sloping cover with $100 Oregon Energy Trust Rebate for energy conservation. Cover delivered to store in 1 week and fits perfectly. I found the whole process informative and very helpful. Have been in business from 1975 and know details about older spas, like mine. read more

Haven replaced the vinyl liner in our in-ground pool. I was pleased with how quickly Stephan was able to get to our place for the initial inspection and generate a quote. No upselling - just what we needed. Price was very reasonable. The service team came out and did the initial install in about four hours. The service manager, Jeff, is very knowledgeable and led the team of three through getting the old liner out, foundation smoothed out, and the new liner installed. Jeff returned four days later after the pool was refilled to finish up cutting out the skimmers, jets, ladder and light. Jeff and Stephan both exhibit thorough knowledge of pools and got their work done quickly. So far, so good - the pool looks fantastic. read more

We have bought 2 spas from Haven Spa Pool and Hearth and have had them out to our house numerous times to have our spa cleaned and filled. Shaun came out today to clean and fill our spa. I had a zillion questions for him regarding chemicals and he was so patient and full of useful information. Even though I know that he was running late I never felt rushed. He answered every question I had. Often times as customers we only speak up when we are not satisfied with our service and more often than not we never speak up when we are happy. So disappointed. I just called to get info on costs and availability for service on my hot tub. I spoke to Blair. I asked him if they do price match with their competitors and he said Yes they do so I proceeded to tell him the quote I just got from one of their competitors who actually referred me to them because of the model of my hot tub. Once I told him their costs he back peddled and said unfortunately our price is what we charge. I then said, we'll now you're changing what you just told me! As he was fumbling on his words he acted like it was a misunderstanding and thought I meant if they were competitive. Whatever that means! If they treat potential customers this way - I would be worried about being an actual customer. read more

I have done business with Spa Outlet, now known as Haven, for almost 10 years. Since the original purchase of my spa, Spa Outlet has been a constant disappointment. When I agreed to purchase my spa, it was partially based on the variety of jet types in the tub, which the salesman emphasized repeatedly. However, the spa that was delivered had only one type of jet. When we contacted the store, we were told that the spa only came with one type of jet. We had to drive to the store and point out the various jets in the model that was still on the floor. Of course they claimed that was for the floor model only until I mentioned unlawful trade practices, and bait-and-switch, before they finally conceded and ordered the various jet styles, which took about 10 weeks to get to Oregon from California. Shortly after Spa Outlet became Haven, I noticed that my spa had a leak and scheduled an appointment for a repairman to come to my home. Of course, they only work bankers hours Monday thru Friday so I had to take time from work to meet him. It was clear from the moment I set eyes on the "repairman" that he was not dressed or prepared to do any repairs on the tub. Instead, this obvious salesman took 1 side off the tub and said there were 1-2 leaks on the opposite side of the open side that were "likely" from the lines splitting. Since the lines were entirely covered in foam and on the other side of the tub, I have no idea how he reached this conclusion. In any event, he told me that if 1-2 lines had split, the others would split soon as well, so I needed to have the entire tub re-plumbed at a cost of $1200-1600. His "inspection" and discussion with me lasted less than 10 minutes and he charged me $95 for the "house call" but offered to knock $50 off the charges when I scheduled the repair. I have so many problems with this whole situation! First, I have serious issues with paying for estimates. This is a bad business practice in my opinion. Second, I was under the impression I was having a service call, not just a bid. This man was in no way prepared to do any repair work on the tub so to charge me for an hour of service time is appalling! And last, but definitely not least, I found another spa repairman who came to my house, on Saturday, took all the sides off, tore off the foam until he found the 1 (yes one) leaking joint, re-glued the joint, re-foamed the area and put all the sides back on in just over an hour of time and charged me $100!!! The spa works great and the leak is fixed!! I have truly learned my lesson. I tried to believe that they could improve and I wanted to use a business in my own local community. But I will never ever go back to this company. I believe my examples speak for themselves. It's a company that employs horrible business practices and clearly tries to take advantage of their customers. read more

From coordinating the delivery (with a crane...over our house!), to helping us choose the right stairs and other items, Haven Spa was a pleasure to work with. Brandon and Stephan were professional, courteous and helpful each step along the way. Haven continues to earn our business when we visit the store for chemicals and other advice. The installation went smoothly and very quickly. Ricky and Kyle really know their stuff! They were fast, polite, and very knowledgeable about their product and it's installation. Several years ago, after my husband had been cleaning our gas fireplace himself for a number of years, we had a problem with the fan. We chose Haven from a list given to us by NW Natural to get it fixed or replaced. We chose them because they were close, but had doubts as to the service we would receive on such a prosaic task when "spa and pool" were the forefront of their name and it sounded way upscale for our needs. We were totally delighted with our service guy. He plugged the fan into the proper outlet (thereby fixing it) and proceeded to to give our fireplace a matchless cleaning! He even rearranged the logs to their rightful place. He was friendly, good-natured and thorough. And did not once smirk at our mistakes! He was great and we recommended him and Haven to many people. We knew we would go back to cleaning it ourselves, but if we ever had a problem we would call Haven and ask for this same guy. We were sure we would remember the name...Mix!
