A great salesperson makes one feel confidence in the outcome as well as enjoyment during the purchasing process, and that's Sumi Douglass. As great as the experience was with tire-kicking, choosing, and buying, I have to give some positives to their installation folks. They did everything they were supposed to do, and they did it in difficult circumstances (such as taking the old tub out and putting the new tub in during a long trip around the house, going uphill part way). Friendly. Communicative. Efficient. Our spa servicing guy had recommended West Coast, and he was one hundred percent right on. It's not the cheapest, but it's also not the most expensive; he told us that these were the people he'd be buying from if he were in the market. What West Coast is: the best value for your money.

The employees are always helpful and friendly when we come in. As a Marquis owner we also get a discount on supplies which always beats Amazon. The employees I always notice when helping customers are not pushy and very respectful of the folks looking. Getting a spa is life changing and requires regular maintenance too. It is not something you can just toss in place and expect to work. But with weekly attention it stays clean and ready to use for a few minutes of maintenance. I appreciate all the help we have received from the store and their service department. The spa is great and we will enjoy it for many years to come.

I purchased a Marquis hot tub a little over four years ago, only to learn that the model has…read morealready been discontinued. I was never informed that this would happen, and as a result, essential replacement filters are no longer available. Within the first two years of ownership, I was also required to replace both the pump and the control panel, incurring approximately $300 in service call fees alone, not including the cost of the parts themselves. Now that critical replacement filters can no longer be obtained, I've concluded that it is no longer financially reasonable to continue investing in this unit. Before reaching that decision, I contacted Marquis to inquire about purchasing a replacement cover. Because this is a single-person hot tub with a unique shape, it requires a custom-fit cover. I was quoted $600 for a cover that Marquis already has in its warehouse. When I asked whether the price could be reduced given that the model has been discontinued after such a short time, I was told the quote already reflected a $200 "discount." For a product discontinued just four years after purchase--especially one for which essential parts are no longer supported--this response feels unreasonable and deeply disappointing.

He totally eased my fears and told me that hot tubs frequently get pin hole leaks in some of the joints and fittings. He even took me over to some of their systems on display to demonstrate where and what to look for in determining the type of leak. The best part was his recommendation of a product called "Fix a Leak" and how to apply it to my system. Dan took the front panel off the hot tub and when he put the panel…read moreback on he cross threaded 2 screws and stripped out most of the remaining Philips heads screws by running them on with an impact driver. If someone can't screw 8 screws in without destroying them do you really want them working on your hot tub. Dan has made no effort to make this right.
