Super disappointed in the food. We ordered Pad Thai and curry noodle. Both dont taste authentic at all. Pad thai didnt even have bean sprouts and lime, and for the peanut you have to ask for it specifically. It came very finely chopped.... the food portion was small too. Chill Thai is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. The green curry was very tasty and I ordered the (5) which is the spiciest level and it came with a side of white rice! I got there 30 mins before they closed and the service was still great! The waiter was extremely polite and professional. I definitely will be going back there soon. read more

Crappy food. Crappy management. Worst Thai food in the area. Very Small portions. This is my $10 beef basil fried rice. Few pieces of beef. Small portion of rice. A huge piece of tomato, multiple broccoli and full of onions and bell peppers. You can see it in the picture how big is the tomato and broccoli used to fill the plate. They try to fill your entree with onions. They need to rename it to onion fried rice instead of beef fried rice. Even their togo box is smaller compared to other takeout places. Unique, quirky, modern atmosphere with lovely food and presentation. It tastes as good as it looks and it's reasonably priced, compared to other Thai places. Went for dinner with my Mom. She absolutely loved the Tom Ka, and kept raving about the savory broth long after we left. We also had the Chilli Sampler - full of all sorts of delectable fried vegetables, shrimp and calamari. Mom said the broccoli was "the best broccoli I've ever had." The Pad Thai is also quite good! It's great to not have to drive for 30 minutes to get some great Thai food anymore! So I had left a review before that was good because the food was good. This last visit was horrible. Waitress told us "food will be right out" after 20 minutes. We waited another 20 before they came and said their machine wasnt printing out tickets. All the while some regulars come in from overhearing wait staff chit chat with them. A few seatings. Guess what??? Yes, their food magically comes out before us. ALL OF THEM. I wasn't going to wait for my food after that. Not going to be treated like that for just decent Thai food. We eat from here often. Food is about 3-4 stars. But they consistently have bad service. First their English is poor to the point of messing up orders and having to ask same thing multiple times. Also priced higher than other restaurants considering it's in a remote strip mall. But most importantly we made a pick up order today my mom went to pick it up and they gave the order to someone else. And she had to wait for the food. Not once said they are sorry in fact they were like what do you want us to do about it? And wait while we make the food again and charged us the full amount and told my mom to wait. Then they offered free dumplings when I called third time which is so bad we threw out and I was told the lady yelled at my mom. Not only will I never go back there but I suggest if you want a lot of attitude and bad service with mediocre food go here; otherwise skip it. This is one the worst service I've experienced with all the take out during lock down. This experience will truly leave a bad taste in my mouth. Ok. I wasn't overly impressed the first time. It's been a long time since I ordered Thai food from them. I live in Carrollton and I have tried others. In comparison I find this place to be over priced. And there portions very inconsistent. Portions are average and at other times very small. Tonight I ordered peanut chicken. It was not what was expected. Every time I've ordered this elsewhere it's been a peanut sauce. With this place it was the equivalent of peanut butter with crushed peanuts caked on thin sliced chicken. I was starving so I ate it. Nothing special. When I went to pick it up i walked in and there was a strong sulfur rotten eggs smell. It was so off putting but I had already ordered so I went to pay. It was still not ready. I didn't mind waiting but the thing is if it really came out fresh ( I live only 4 minutes away), why were the spring rolls cold and the chicken luke warm. Again: mixed feelings about this place! Other observations: The couch in the front waiting area is damaged and hanging off the wall, and the odd chair I sat in was way uncomfortable. While I love a good spring roll I've ordered these 3 times now and the ends are burned every time. That's just how they do it I guess. The only thing I've been impressed by is the pineapple fried rice but last time I think I counted 4 pieces of pineapple. For rice, some chicken, and 4 pieces of pineapple it was not really worth the near $15 price point for pick up. read more

The FRIED AND WHITE RICE SMELLED AWFUL and it wasn't the fish sauce. It smells of if they either let the rice go bad and cooked it anyways or if they didn't rinse off the rice before boiling it! Makes a difference. One of the other. So unpleasant to eat stinky rice! read more

Got delivery from here, really good! The pad thai is good, but lacking a little in flavor and spice. The red curry was very good. Both came with an eggroll with sauce. The fried tofu was really good even tho it was completely soggy....my fault should have thought about that. Will definitely go there again! Update: I saved my pad thai for later..... which I was skeptical about pad thai almost always gets dry and gross if you try to reheat it but after sitting the flavors came out more and I know you're going cringe when I say this but once I added salt it was perfect! One of a very few Thai restaurants in Carrollton that I highly recommend. I used to drive to Noodle Wave to get good Thai food but since this place over and got renovated, I no longer need to make the drive. Some of the items I usually order are the Papaya salad, Yellow Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice and of course Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. They have 1-5 level of spiciness. We can eat really spicy and what I mean is not jalapeño type of spicy, but the one that make your mouth on fire and linger around for the next hour, and milk won't cure LOL. Chili Thai offers the Thai hot level which never disappoint. I recommend to go for a level 2-3. read more

I've been here maybe 6 times so I feel like I have a pretty rounded view especially since I like to order something different each time. And I may (MAY) have gently persuaded my husband to order something different too. ("Quit ordering pad thai all the freakin' time! Try something different!") I like the fact that it's BYOB and I love the owner, who is always there and is incredibly friendly. She knows we always come with a bottle of Whisky and has our glasses ready as soon as we sit down. Everything is pretty average actually, as far as food. I don't like pad thai that is overly sweet, and usually get the red curry. Although I find that a bit sweet too, I really like the flavors. If you're a seafood lover, I'd recommend the Chili Thai Volcano, which has a little bit of everything with a curry taste. The Tiger Cry (beef) was quite yummy as well. The only real complaint is unfortunately something that really bothers me: lukewarm food. Not all of the time, but I'd say half of the time the apps that we ordered came out lukewarm, which makes me think they're not as fresh as it could be. Other than that, I love the little restaurant. And who doesn't like Thai food and whisky? Also- The spiciness level at every Thai restaurant varies, obviously. But here, I usually get a 5 and I don't think it's spicy. But then again, my friends say my taste buds might be slightly "damaged" from years of spicy abuse. Pfft... I say I need new friends... :P read more

This place being moved closer to us finally made us try it out.... But sadly only 2 stars.... Here's why We ordered pad see iew... None spicy version of pad kee mow... The noodle was burnt and chicken was so dry it was almost jerky like texture and portion was kinda small. Got Tom ka soup it was ok but way too much onion and again the chicken was horribly dry =( and got the papaya salad it was good but just normal nothing special and could use a bit more peanut spread on top... They have a lot to improve being new at this location... I hope they up the quality control The take out costs $30 and change... Sadly I don't think we'll visit again any time soon. read more

This place was HORRIBLE!!!! Warning stay away. After finding a fly in my food I am no longer a fan!!! The customer service was terrible. The manager said well you ate some of the food so we can't refund you!!! I said but there was a fly in my food how did it get there??? I could caught a disease or become sick. I could not believe what was happening. I called the local police deportment and also filed a report with the food environmental services in Dallas. I just hope no else ever has to deal with this. After doing some moving to get my aunt into her new place, I turned to Yelp to find us some decent dinner nearby. I came across Chilli Thai and read great reviews, so we decided to go for it. The lady on the phone was nice. We ended up ordering Basil Shrimp, Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Spring Rolls. The order was ready quickly and they gave us some takeout dishes since we hadn't unpacked hers yet. The food was a little on the pricier side. We dug right in to the spring rolls as soon as we got back to the house. They were good! The shrimp still had tails on, which is sort of a fail for me... but overall the meal was ok. There didn't seem to be much chicken in the pad thai. I was disappointed since the reviews were so good, and we really wanted to find a great new place. Ah well.. maybe next time! read more

Surprised it took me so much time to find this place even though I live closeby. One of the very few good Thai places I have been to all over Dallas area. Even though I have only done take outs so far, the food has been great and time very appropriate. The staff seem friendly as well. My favorite has been yellow curry and chicken spring rolls. On second try the beef fried rice was amazing along with spring rolls again (this time via delivery) and food remained hot and delicious with plenty of meat in the dish. Great intimate restaurant right off Old Denton! Our service was excellent and my chicken pad thai was bomb. I asked for it 4/5 spicy on the spiciness scale, and it was lovely. The tables are close together, which I'm completely fine with. The couple next to us was on a first date and had an interesting conversation about a C.S. Lewis book I'm not familiar with. For 35 minutes they discussed themes and controversies surrounding the books' characters. Homeboy must have mad game because I could never pull that conversation off on a first date. So thankful for Chili Thai, one of our favorite Thai places around. Of course its BYOB so that is always a plus, the food and the service was wonderful. Our last visit to this wonderful spot we had the fried soft shell crab with garlic sauce and the wife had the Panang, both dishes very tasty. This place is a really good fix for your thai food cravings. This location is a little hidden but it's next to the big pet supply plus store and I happen to hear about this place thru a friend and never knew they were located there and I live in the area! I recommend getting the fried catfish with red curry. Soo good! The crispy catfish has a great crunch, and the bamboo shoots covered in red curry is my favorite. read more

Dined here twice and can't bring myself to go a third time. I've had the Spicy Basil Fried Rice and found it overly moist and bland. The Young Ginger with chicken was also quite watery and had only a hint of ginger flavor to it. At each visit I requested a medium level of spiciness - 3 of 5. The rice dish had a couple of mild chili bits, but the Young Ginger was completely free of any spiciness. The only dish I enjoyed was the Vegetarian Fresh Roll. Served with a thick peanut sauce it was a good starter, but couldn't make up for the weak entrees. I've been mulling over the idea of going back, but those first two visits were simply too disappointing. read more
