By far, one of Carrollton's best kept secrets! This small, cozy spot makes some seriously DELICIOUS, fresh food at a very reasonable price. Their salad dressing is food and Tom Kha is also on the sweeter side. Lunch specials are only $7.50!!! And that includes an entree and a soup or salad, which is a more-than-amazing deal. I ordered the mussamun curry and got the soup of the day which was coconut chicken. The coconut chicken soup was so delicious, kind of sweet and sour at the same time but not super spicy. The mussamun curry was good too, and I thought the presentation was cute. The only thing I would complain about is that they don't include enough rice to balance out the amount of curry they gave me, but I was full at the end and still had leftovers. The restaurant itself is very modern looking. It doesn't look very impressive from the outside (it's right next to a gas station), but the inside is nicely decorated with polished concrete floors, high ceilings, and a red and black motif. I went during lunch and there were only 4 other tables being served, so there is no wait for a quick lunch. My severs were very attentive because it's such a small restaurant, and they were very fast. I would come here again if I go back to the Carrollton area. read more

Had a solid dinner at Chilli Thai on a Wednesday. We got the meal to go, but it did not suffer in quality at all. Everything was steaming when we got home and was clearly freshly made. The adults split the drunken noodles with chicken and pepper steak and the kids had basil fried rice with chicken. To start we had crab wontons. The wontons were on the smaller side but packed full of cream cheese and crab. They were fried well, crispy but not greasy. Good version of this standard appetizer. Of the drunken noodles and the beef, my favorite was the noodles. They were not overcooked and neither was the chicken. We ordered a lower heat level, but given that this is Thai food we still had a bit of a kick. It was welcome. The rest of the dish was seasoned well and the veggies retained a little crunch. The pepper steak was flavorful as well, but I preferred the drunken noodles. The basil fried rice was fairly standard, but good. The portions are large, even with 3 adults and 3 kids eating we had leftovers of every dish except the wontons. Our food was prepared well and quickly and the prices are reasonable. I'm very excited about this place. I've been on the search for good Thai in Dallas for YEARS. I stumbled upon this place because I am in the area every Monday. It has now become my Monday lunch spot. The food is really good and the customer service is excellent! Lunch prices are reasonable too. Very clean and quaint. Good place to have a business meeting/conversation or to just relax. Can't wait to try more items off the menu. For now though, the Tom Yum soup is the best in town and the curry fried rice really hits the spot. Nice interior and ambience, beautifully decorated and clean. Waitress was quick to bring menus and take our drink orders. We ordered the samosas, red curry, and Thai fried rice which all came out really quickly and tasted delicious. The waitress was attentive and refilled our glasses and took away empty plates. This is a decent neighborhood Thai place, but nothing outstanding. The food was so-so, and the staff was enthusiastic and attentive. The "Vegetarian Fresh Roll" (Salad Roll) appetizer was clearly pre-made, rather than freshly prepared, with pieces sticking together and fell apart when we tried to eat it. The Samosa (Vegetaran) was an interesting addition in the menu, not commonly seen in most Thai restaurants. The Pad-Thai and curry were both OK. My hubby brought me here about a year ago cause he wanted me to try something new (creatures of habit lol). Basically now this place is our little go to hangout! It's pretty tiny place but the atmosphere is great and the staff is even better, especially Joann (hope I spelled that right)! Since the day we started coming she's been our waitress and she remembers everyone! It's really hard to find that kind of personal service these days and I'm always blown away. Ok that being said, yes the food. I love it! Between me and my husband we've gotten so many things and definitely their fried rice, curries, and noodles are amazing. Large portions and yummy can't beat that!! Also their steamed dumplings and Chili Thai wings are yummy! The only real drawback is they don't have a large drink selection but they are really cool about bringing your own drinks. I've seen people bring bottles of wine and just chilling with a group of friends. They never rush you no matter how busy they get. Plus there is a gas station right next door so just stop by there after you order no biggie. It's really nice cause sometimes my hubby will pick up dinner and they always ask, "where is your wife? Tell her we said hi!" So that's why even with the beverage thing I give this place 5 stars. Service but great food can't beat that!!! read more

My first time here because my friends usually like to meet around Old Denton to eat. Food: -I got the drunken noodles because that is usually always my order wherever Thai place I go to. I've had better but it was still good! IF I ever come here again, I will probably stick with my regular order of the drunken noodles. I got the 5 spiciness level (5 being the hottest) and if I come back, I might get the 4 because their scale is spicier than others. Don't get me wrong, I love spicy but not to the point where I can't enjoy my food. -I like how my plate came with an egg roll! Service: -Not sure how the organization works with the staff but we had two people helping our table. One guy who was our waiter from beginning to end and another girl who kept asking if we needed help after our waiter had already taken care of us. Maybe she was just trying to be nice and of good service but it made us laugh because she would literally ask moments after our waiter helped us. -Our waiter was nice and prompt. Thank you! Ambiance: -I honestly didn't take a look around too much at the place because I was kind of rushing when I got there (I was the late one, oops!) and facing the windows (back to the restaurant) but it seemed to have lots of customers which is usually a good sign of good food and service. -Like I said, didn't get to get a full feel for the place but didn't feel anything off about it so I'd say everything was A-OK :) Final thoughts: -I probably wouldn't come back here because I know of better Thai places but because it was in the middle for all my friends to meet and I was craving Thai, we stumbled upon here. After over 10 minutes the order still wasn't ready so ask and then the waitress told it's was going to be actually another 40 minutes. This was just for one order so it wasn't even a big order. This is really unacceptable and she has the nerve to agree with me. I want to support small businesses during this difficult time but will no tolerate bad customer service. read more

I absolutely LOVE Chilli Thai! This is always the go-to place for me and my friends when we're craving some Thai food (which is 99% of the time really). The service is amazing and all of the workers are so friendly. As for the food, I can definitely say the same. Everytime we order, we don't even need to look at the menu because the pad kee mow, basil fried rice, and green curry are absolute staples!! We order them every time we go without fail! I would suggest ordering them at a spice level of 3 if you're with a group and you're not sure how spicy you should make the food, BUT if you're like me and LOVE some heat, I would definitely go with a 4 or a 5 if you're really daring. I think Thai is quickly becoming my favorite ethnic food, and Chilli Thai is an excellent example of the genre. Dining here with my wife and another couple, we were seated quickly on a Wednesday evening. We started with corn patties and avocado rolls; both were very good, the former served with the cool cucumber based sauce, the latter stuffed with "krab", tomatoes and avocado. For the main course, I chose the pad kee mow, a good "benchmark" dish for Thai (in my opinion). I asked for the "just under Thai spicy" heat level, and it turned out to be just right. Sometimes I don't mind having my head set on fire, but this time, I just wanted some modest heat and good flavor. The dish really delivered on both. The noodles were perfectly done, the sauce was rich and flavorful and the heat was just right. The vegetables and requested beef were all cooked perfectly and were very fresh. All in all, we had a great meal here at a great price. This place is a winner in my book! read more

I ordered the tiger eye which was a chef special and it was yummy (beef tenderloin with a spicy dipping sauce) Hubby went for the drunken noodles (pad ke mow) and they tasted different from other Thai places. Better in my opinion with lots flavor and a really good spice (we ordered level 3 and that was plenty spicy enough to create a running nose! ) We were both very happy with our food. Even the shrimp tempura was delicious which we started with, soft and fluffy and piping hot! The decor is pretty basic for a strip mall Thai place but service was great. Very attentive and friendly. I used to like this place a lot before they moved to new location. Service still good as always, which is a plus for me. But after the last time I visited here , I dont think I want to come back I ordered the drunken noodle the last time and when they served...it still have a plastic wrap around the imitation crab, they are also change the sause which is lack of flavors and colour as well The pad Thai was very disappoited too, the way too sweet that I thought I was eating a dessert, too much sugar and the meat is very limit. Thai restaurant is not cheap, I know that. But I think they are just overprice their food because the potions they serve is very small. Pad thai didnt even have bean sprouts and lime, and for the peanut you have to ask for it specifically. It came very finely chopped.... the food portion was small too. Chill Thai is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. The green curry was very tasty and I ordered the (5) which is the spiciest level and it came with a side of white rice! I got there 30 mins before they closed and the service was still great! The waiter was extremely polite and professional. I definitely will be going back there soon. read more

It's high time I praise Chilli Thai for their consistently good food and excellent service. And now that they've found new digs on Hebron, my previous Yelp is long overdue for an update. My family of 2 has regularly ordered takeout from Chilli Thai since we discovered them and have never experienced an ordering snafu. Everything arrives at home as requested; from the very spicy tom kha chicken soup to the extra garlic in my garlic beef, and the delicious sticky rice desserts. Because we've found our faves expertly prepared by Chilli Thai, it's very hard to criticize their food. But if I had any complaint, it's due to the fact that we moved farther away and can no longer enjoy their menu on a regular basis. read more

A huge piece of tomato, multiple broccoli and full of onions and bell peppers. You can see it in the picture how big is the tomato and broccoli used to fill the plate. They try to fill your entree with onions. They need to rename it to onion fried rice instead of beef fried rice. Even their togo box is smaller compared to other takeout places.
