The menu states that it is made of guava, lemon, cherry, dulce de leche. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any guava, lemon, or dulce de leche. It was just a cherry drink. We had the tuna tataki which also had lots of little pickled items and was amazing, but for me the actual tuna stole the show. The last item we ordered was the venison tartare. OMG, it was fabulous. The flavour of the venison was wonderful and the chili and capers just added so much to the dish. The cured egg yolk shaved on top gave it a subtle hint of saltiness. Everything was fantastic. If you want to sit outside, all you have to do is order at the bar and they'll serve your drinks in plastic cups for you to take outside. The rhubarb pie punch was so delicious I had to order it twice! Probably one of my favorite cocktails I've ever had. I also ordered the maurixio cattelan, which tasted like ginger ale. The ingredients list for some of the cocktails include things I've never heard of, but at a place like this, I just know it's going to be good. Our drinks were perfectly balanced and very tasty. We also ordered the mortadella sandwich to split--this was delicious. It was pretty messy, but worth it. It was perfectly toasted and full of mortadella. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I would love to try more of the food options. Can't wait to visit again!

We snagged it and was dumbfounded by not only how many people were there but by the high energy and smiles. I was educated by my in-laws that the Brass Rail Bar is loved by many because of it's history and after being closed for a while after a death (I think) and covid, when it reopened, is packed full all days of the week. We went in specifically to try their Tom & Jerry cocktail which is evidently a Port Huron staple during the Christmas season. I can't remember the ingredients but they were delicious!!! Waxbar's ambiance used to lean heavily into the record store aesthetic, but now embraces the neighborhood bar/ dive bar style -- the upside is that there's a lot more seating available now! The drinks are still great, and represent a fairly good value overall! I appreciate the low-key nature of Waxbar, it's always a relatively cozy environment, the staff are friendly, and you can tell the regulars love it and will stay regulars for many years (if not decades) to come. I've sampled a lot of their drink menu in the past few years, but in the recent shift of ownership, I haven't tried as many adventurous cocktails. The most recent trip to Waxbar included a Black Manhattan, which was fun and a nice spin on the standard Manhattan. I'll definitely be back!
