    Smash burger and fries

Very pleasant late lunch on their deck. Prompt friendly service and a nice menu. Husband had a cup of lobster bisque which I tasted too. It was a little salty for my taste, but my husband liked it. Husband also had the double smash burger and liked it too. I had the perch sandwich special - very good and more than I could eat. We wandered through the inside on our way out. It's light, airy and brightly contemporary. We'd go back.

Our Tuesday visit was definitely a step down from our previous 2. My wife and I took mom for a drive and lunch. As we had two previous great visits, as described on coming here. Instead of bar seating, we decided on a four top. Allie was our server. We ordered adult beverages. My wife a glass of Luna Nuda, mom a Toasted Coconut Key Lime Margarita, and I a Manhattan. I was informed by Allie that they were out of Buffalo Trace, the bourbon noted on the drink menu, but I could upgrade to Angels Envy. Come to find out it was a $3 upgrade. After the wine and margarita arrived, I was informed that they indeed had Buffalo Trace and my Manhattan would be right out. All of our beverages tasted great! For our lunch my wife decided on the steak salad medium well, mom the perch sandwich lunch special, and I the Crab Cake Sandwich. After a reasonable amount of time our meals came out. All delicious; however, my wife's steak was more well done than medium well but still tasty. I finished my Manhattan and asked for a draft Maine Lunch beer and started my sandwich. After the first few bites I decided to wait on my beer to enjoy it with my sandwich. After waiting for 15 minutes I got up and asked the bartender about my beer. She looked surprised. About that time, Allie came in from kabitzing at an outside table. Not sure if she rang it up and the order sat on the printer while the bartender cleaned or not. Really not in the habit of collecting our own drinks. That said, we finished our meal and ordered dessert. Our used dishes and glasses on our table sat there until Allie sat our dessert down in the middle of the mess. She then cleared the table. . Not impressed. A definite step down from our previous visits.

This is a wonderful place! The light installation at the door is absolutely gorgeous.... Food was great; they had a very nice selection of oysters, which were fresh and presented beautifully. I had the roasted chicken with vegetables, which was succulent and delicious. My husband had the tartare, which was flavorful and nicely done; he also had a side of fries, which you don't want to miss. He topped it all off with crème brûlée -- nice burnt sugar and not cold inside (miracle!). You definitely want to give this place a try!

In the area working again and wanted to try something new. This area is all about the fish, so I found Beach Glass House on Yelp. Only open 2 months, the place was pretty slow at 3pm on a Tuesday (expected). Perch fish sandwich and opted for the Brussels instead of fries. The portion was just right and it was more perch than breading or coating. You could taste the mild flavor matched with the homemade tartar and cocktail sauce. I absolutely enjoyed every bite while listening to smooth jazz in the background. Everyone was friendly and I found out they are developing the area with a hotel/event center on the 8 acres behind the restaurant. No pics of the main meal but I had to get the Lava Cake! I would definitely stop again. I really enjoyed myself!

I'll start by saying the space is beautiful...that gets a 10! We went to lunch and I was so excited to come! Started with a crock of French onion soup $12 and my honest opinion is that it had ALOT of onions, too much! I would not order it again. It also would've been nice to be able to get this in cup as well as a crock. We opted for a burger, this was the lounge burger $20. Again, honest opinion...it was not memorable. I know how memorable can a burger be? Well, I've had some pretty crave worthy burgers and this was not one. The fries were really good, fresh & crispy with a bit of rosemary. The service was friendly & efficient. I'd definitely go back to try something different. It's a wonderful addition to the area for sure!

We came in for dessert and drinks after dinner elsewhere on a Monday night. It was their fourth night of operation. Our bartender Jennifer was knowledgeable and efficient. The space is very clean and modern. Great artwork on all the walls which I assume is on loan from the gallery next door. I ordered the Molten Cherry Whiskey Sour as well as sharing a crème brûlée and bread pudding. My drink was exceptional. My dad ordered an old fashioned which he enjoyed. I fully appreciate everything about my first visit and look forward to returning. This place is a breath of fresh air for this neighborhood!

Some of the previous reviews were accurate, as the bar service was a bit surly but ultimately it didn't make a big impact on our visit. The atmosphere was lively yet laid back and not crowded on a Saturday afternoon. We were able to score a shuffleboard lane for two for an hour and drink service was quick once we got set up. We absolutely loved playing, especially while enjoying a cocktail. If we had more time and wanted to spend more it would have been easy to waste more hours on the court or playing skeeball, cornhole, or pool. I don't understand why fun places like this aren't available widely, that's how fun it was. Do watch out while you're playing, as it's easy to overshoot your target and slam your biscuits into someone's feet playing next door or sitting at a table. The gear was a well loved but it didn't stop us (as novices) from enjoying the game and doing fairly well at it! This will be a must-stop every time we're in the Port Clinton/Marblehead area! Highly recommended!

We had come for the perch dinner and they were out. We then ordered our drinks and a couple appetizers, they were also out of the first two appetizers we picked. The waitress apologized and told us to call ahead before we come next time because they run out of a lot of things! So she put our drink order in and after awhile came back and told us she was sorry but the bartender must have lost our order or something. We did finally get our drinks, but not until after our appetizers. My husband got the grouper sandwich and said it was good. I got the perch sandwich and the perch had no flavor at all and there was only a dab of tarter, about the size of a nickle! I've gotten better perch sandwiches at the drive thru! The waitress was kind and apologetic, but food was very disappointing! We ordered 2 sandwiches, two drinks, two appetizers and split their key lime tart )they call it pie, it is not pie). Our bill was $124. for the two of us. Really can't recommend.

Very disappointing…read more We have a cottage on the islands and yesterday we had some time available before our ferry so we stopped in to take advantage of their early happy hour (3-6) as we've been there before and enjoyed it. Not this time. It was about two minutes to 3 when we sat at the bar (nobody else at the bar but us) and asked for a menu. The bartender (male) gave us dinner menus so we asked could we please have the lunch menus. He looked at his watch and said "I guess so" and gave them to us. We then asked for the happy hour menu and again, he looked at his watch , decided it was ok, then gave them to us. Not an awesome start but no biggie. We ordered the happy hour calamari, and for lunch I had the perch sandwich with chips and wife got the luncheon steak filet. First the good news. Service was good, food came out quickly and my wife said her steak (while a bit pricey at $35 for a small filet) was excellent as were the green beans that came with it. Now the bad. The calamari was severely over-fried and basically tasteless. My wife asked me "do you taste anything?" and candidly, I didn't. Just the dipping sauce. My perch was equally flavorless, all I tasted was bread. Same goes for the 1/2 baked potato that came with the steak. That looked and tasted exactly like a microwaved potato someone sprinkled a bit of shredded cheese on. Very, very bland. And the homemade chips that came with the perch were the saltiest things ever salted. I couldn't eat them at all, had about three (they looked great) and realized my sodium level would spike off the charts if I ate any more. With two drinks (a happy hour beer & Tito's) the bill with tip was $100 and we couldn't taste the calamari, the perch or the potato and couldn't eat the chips. Insert "not great Bob" animated gif.
