Great venue, but service is defiantly lacking. Second time we were there this summer and still is a problem there. Waitress acts like we are putting them out ! read more

We had the filet mignon and the salmon. Overall, the food was just OK; nothing particularly memorable. What really left a bad taste was the payment process. When it came time to tip, the default options presented were 20%, 25%, or 30%. To leave anything else, you have to navigate through additional menus, all while the server is standing there watching. Starting at 20% and pushing options as high as 30% feels excessive and puts customers in an unnecessarily awkward position. A tip should reflect the quality of the service, not be pressured by the design of the payment screen. It's a poor business practice that detracted from the overall experience. Won't dine here again. read more

Our service was mediocre at best. After waiting over an hour to receive our food someone else's food was delivered to us. After 1 1/2 hours after our order was taken we received our food. My lobster tails were lukewarm warm at best and someone did ask if everything was OK and I lied said everything was good. Then we received a bill with several additional drinks on our bill. We have eaten here 4 times and have been impressed with this restaurant in the past but not anymore. Very disappointed Chris Lute read more

Went to Beach Glass on a Sunday and the place is absolutely gorgeous!!! Unfortunately that's about as good as it gets. The place wasn't crowded- not even 1/2 full. My friend and I sat at the bar and it took some time before the bartender came over to take our order...which was very simple...two bowls of soup and a salad with grilled chicken. After 1/2 hour - maybe 45 minutes no food.... I watched everyone else's food come out and it looked great but for some reason the kitchen couldn't pull together 2 bowls of soup and a grilled chicken salad...so we left... read more

We had an extremely uncomfortable experience at this restaurant. We chose to sit at the outdoor bar, as it was a nice evening. The ambiance in this area has greatly improved in the last year! We ordered 2 martinis 1 with Tito's and 1 Belvedere. Later after looking at our bill we realized the Belvedere martini was actually $20.00. This is an obscene price considering we are in Marblehead/Port Clinton not New York City! There was another group of people sitting across the bar and one of the patrons was talking extremely loud and using profanity in every sentence. The bartender was enjoying a vibrant conversation with his group and no ask of just keeping it down a tad. Thank goodness this obnoxious patron left after 20 minutes. We thought our evening was going to improve. It was shift change for the bartender and he took the liberty of counting his tips right in front of us, saying "hope you tip me well too"! Rather awkward to say the least. The next bartender Mikey continued to vape behind the barwhile serving drinks. Then he and the owners wife poured themselves large glasses of wine. They both enjoyed drinking their wine while being totally engrossed in conversation, which is probably why Mikey forget our ice and beer immediately after we had ordered it. It wasn't like they were busy as only 1 other couple was at the bar! The food was very good. The sad part is we won't be returning for a while. There was such a lack of professionalism by the staff it was so extremely disappointing. We have defended this restaurant in the past to many people saying we have always had really good food and service. After this experience it will be a long time before we will consider returning! Wishing them well as it really could be a wonderful place! read more

Very pleasant late lunch on their deck. Prompt friendly service and a nice menu. Husband had a cup of lobster bisque which I tasted too. It was a little salty for my taste, but my husband liked it. Husband also had the double smash burger and liked it too. I had the perch sandwich special - very good and more than I could eat. We wandered through the inside on our way out. It's light, airy and brightly contemporary. We'd go back. read more

Our Tuesday visit was definitely a step down from our previous 2. My wife and I took mom for a drive and lunch. As we had two previous great visits, as described on coming here. Instead of bar seating, we decided on a four top. Allie was our server. We ordered adult beverages. My wife a glass of Luna Nuda, mom a Toasted Coconut Key Lime Margarita, and I a Manhattan. I was informed by Allie that they were out of Buffalo Trace, the bourbon noted on the drink menu, but I could upgrade to Angels Envy. Come to find out it was a $3 upgrade. After the wine and margarita arrived, I was informed that they indeed had Buffalo Trace and my Manhattan would be right out. All of our beverages tasted great! For our lunch my wife decided on the steak salad medium well, mom the perch sandwich lunch special, and I the Crab Cake Sandwich. After a reasonable amount of time our meals came out. All delicious; however, my wife's steak was more well done than medium well but still tasty. I finished my Manhattan and asked for a draft Maine Lunch beer and started my sandwich. After the first few bites I decided to wait on my beer to enjoy it with my sandwich. After waiting for 15 minutes I got up and asked the bartender about my beer. She looked surprised. About that time, Allie came in from kabitzing at an outside table. Not sure if she rang it up and the order sat on the printer while the bartender cleaned or not. Really not in the habit of collecting our own drinks. That said, we finished our meal and ordered dessert. Our used dishes and glasses on our table sat there until Allie sat our dessert down in the middle of the mess. She then cleared the table. . Not impressed. A definite step down from our previous visits. read more

Went here with some friends on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. They took drink orders and sat us but wouldn't take food orders till we were all seated. 1 member of our group got a phone call and took it off to the side. Server was like. When she sits I'll take your order. She was standing 2 ft from the table. She was right there. So we made her sit and it still took the server 15 more mins to come back to us. We had the brunch menu for Sunday at 1p. Brunch is till 2p. They have a full bar. There were 7 of us. We all got different things. 1 bourbon bread pudding pancakes, 1 omelette which went back because it was wrong. 2 crab cake Benedict's, and a bunch of breakfast BLT's. They ran out of breakfast potatoes so we all got fries. Which was good. The BLT I could have made better at home. Dry and blah. Not impressed for $13. The crab cake Benedict's were good according to the 2 that got them. The bourbon bread pudding pancakes were dry and tasteless. Overall I was not impressed with the food. We are cider fans and the ciders were out. So couldn't enjoy those. The place is a good size and very nice and bright with lots of glass. Very cool looking. Would I go back. Probably not. Not impressed service was slow and moody and food was not great for the price. Best thing is the ambiance and the decor. Otherwise I'd skip. read more

Food quality was excellent. My smash burger was super tasty. Our friends really enjoyed the raw oysters! Outside patio looked cool.

This was absolutely amazing--we had one of the best dinners ever. The host was very kind and friendly and let us know they were backed up because of the holiday. She also came to get us as soon as a table became available. The bartenders were excellent and made us feel like we weren't waiting long for drinks at all. Even though the kitchen was a little backed up, it gave us plenty of time to look at the art and enjoy conversation. The owner even made time to come talk with us and seemed to genuinely interact with many of the guests. I will definitely be returning. The hostess, Lauren, was amazing. Our server, Rachele, was fantastic. And Ashley behind the bar made us feel so welcome--it was like she already knew what we wanted before we even ordered. read more

This is a wonderful place! The light installation at the door is absolutely gorgeous.... Food was great; they had a very nice selection of oysters, which were fresh and presented beautifully. I had the roasted chicken with vegetables, which was succulent and delicious. My husband had the tartare, which was flavorful and nicely done; he also had a side of fries, which you don't want to miss. He topped it all off with crème brûlée -- nice burnt sugar and not cold inside (miracle!). You definitely want to give this place a try! read more

In the area working again and wanted to try something new. This area is all about the fish, so I found Beach Glass House on Yelp. Only open 2 months, the place was pretty slow at 3pm on a Tuesday (expected). Perch fish sandwich and opted for the Brussels instead of fries. The portion was just right and it was more perch than breading or coating. You could taste the mild flavor matched with the homemade tartar and cocktail sauce. I absolutely enjoyed every bite while listening to smooth jazz in the background. Everyone was friendly and I found out they are developing the area with a hotel/event center on the 8 acres behind the restaurant. No pics of the main meal but I had to get the Lava Cake! I would definitely stop again. I really enjoyed myself! read more

The atmosphere is wonderful. I especially love their shrimp cocktail. The ribeye was excellent

Friends had previously had a good experience so we were excited for dinner. Initial ordering was easy and fast, the oysters were excellent! Then our dinner took an hour to arrive and was room temp at best. Bouillabaisse was good, strip steak was over cooked and lackluster. We ordered scallops on the side ($20) and got 2 of them. After eating it took us almost 40 mins to get a check - no beverages, couldn't get water filled. Finally tracked down a bartender who apologized and took some off the bill, which was appreciated, but won't be coming back. Dinner for 3 took almost 3 hours. read more

You're paying for the $4M new construction, not the food quality. They overwork and exhaust their good staff until they leave for better prospects, the owner decided it would be a good idea to run a restaurant with zero experience in the industry. The ambiance is nice considering its furnished from the art gallery next door. read more

The beach glass lounge was an interesting experience and I really thought it was going to be pleasant especially after reading the reviews. However, that is not what I experienced at this establishment. After be seated at the bar, I felt a bit uneasy with the bartender (Mikey). I'm not one to rant about people, but when professionalism becomes an issue in a restaurant that is supposed to maintain a certain ambiance and atmosphere, they certainly blew it with their bar manager. I certainly did not appreciate being flirted with and hit on, on the low. Just because I'm a gay male And you might recognize that I am gay, does not give you the right to sidestepped professionalism. There is a line of being nice and making kind gestures, however it does not give you the right or idea of something different. I am sure I am not the only that has been offended, but the first person to speak out. I was not comfortable with speaking to management this situation as I know how it can be, since I worked in the restaurant industry for over 13 years, situations like this get brushed underneath. The owners should be ashamed to have an employee at the forefront and the face of the company sidestepping professionalism. read more

I've given this place more than one try as it's local and I wanted to support local, however the food is just terrible. No taste for what you get. I feel they just need to do better. Someone needs to revamp the menu and prices. I'll be shocked if this place makes it . read more

I'll start by saying the space is beautiful...that gets a 10! We went to lunch and I was so excited to come! Started with a crock of French onion soup $12 and my honest opinion is that it had ALOT of onions, too much! I would not order it again. It also would've been nice to be able to get this in cup as well as a crock. We opted for a burger, this was the lounge burger $20. Again, honest opinion...it was not memorable. I know how memorable can a burger be? Well, I've had some pretty crave worthy burgers and this was not one. The fries were really good, fresh & crispy with a bit of rosemary. The service was friendly & efficient. I'd definitely go back to try something different. It's a wonderful addition to the area for sure! read more

Beach Glass Lounge is a gem in the Marblehead area! The seafood is amazing, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The steak options are just as impressive and there are multiple different cuts of steak to choose from, cooked perfectly every time. The service is stellar, friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. To go with the service, the atmosphere and ambience are top notch, warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed night or special event. Bonus points because all of their decor, paintings and glass, and from the gallery next door! Making this place so unique! read more

We came in for dessert and drinks after dinner elsewhere on a Monday night. It was their fourth night of operation. Our bartender Jennifer was knowledgeable and efficient. The space is very clean and modern. Great artwork on all the walls which I assume is on loan from the gallery next door. I ordered the Molten Cherry Whiskey Sour as well as sharing a crème brûlée and bread pudding. My drink was exceptional. My dad ordered an old fashioned which he enjoyed. I fully appreciate everything about my first visit and look forward to returning. This place is a breath of fresh air for this neighborhood! read more

Had dinner on a Saturday night and very disappointing experience. Won't be back unless I hear of improvement. Sat for 25 min. Before getting cocktail, actually ate my three oysters before having cocktail served. Cocktail was warm with half an ice ball. Asked for side of asparagus, for $6 and was served 6 small, skinny pieces of asparagus. For what this place charges should be so much better! Very disappointed! read more

We started lunch off with French onion soup and lobster bisque, both were amazing and the lobster bisque had huge chunks of lobster. Wish the soup was hot vs warm. Next we had perch sandwich with fries and grilled chicken with green beans Brussel sprouts, sweet potatoe cake. Fries were amazing so was the sweet potato cake and Brussel sprouts. The chicken was a little over cooked and blan. The waitress was very pleasant. The building and decor is beautiful. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch. Food and service very good. It was off season so not very busy.

The food was good and the portions were perfect. Steak was seasoned well but my medium-well was definitely well done and my husband's medium was the same. Loved the glazed carrots! I was disappointed in our crème brûlée, it was cold but it tasted good. As for the atmosphere... The decor is beautiful! It's very cozy but also very loud. We went with another couple and had a hard time carrying on a conversation. We were disappointed in how the staff is dressed. At a high end restaurant with a $125 steak on the menu I would expect more than jeans. We all mentioned that we felt over dressed compared to the staff! We will return in hopes they work out the kinks since it's new. read more

I really don't understand the reviews for this place. I've been to all of the close-by restaurants - and Beach Glass Lounge is frankly better. Worst dining experience I have ever had. My wife and I made 5:15 reservations for Valentine's Day. We finally got seated at 5:40. That should have been enough to leave. After waiting 15 minutes for a waiter we placed our order and got waters. The appetizer didn't come for an hour. After being in the restaurant for 2.5 hours and seated for 2 full hours we got up and left at 7:40. If you don't have the staff to seat and feed a full restaurant you should start taking fewer reservations. I feel bad for everyone else that was still sitting waiting while we left. read more

I don't like saying negative things about restaurants, but for $250.00 for four, it should be better. First, there was no mention the day before when I called for a 7:30pm reservation that they close Sunday night (Memorial Day weekend) at 8pm. We felt rushed to get out of there after we ate. I tried to order the New York strip but was told they were out, which was disappointing. One person in my party got scallops, and she stated they were very good. I ended up having to get a hamburger for $27, which tasted fine. To finish this review, I feel the waiter/waitress needs to act more professionally and not give us excuses for why she is unsure about things on the menu. I wanted this place to be great. This area needs some high-end restaurants and good food. I'm not sure if I will be going again. Please do go and see what you think. The atmosphere was nice. read more

This place had so much potential but not worth the money at all. I expected a little bit more of a high end experience but we had to ask for our dirty dishes to be removed from the table multiple times. As far as the food, the appetizers were great! We loved the charcuterie board, although no one told us what was on it so that was a mystery. We loved the crab cakes too! For dinner we got the pretzel crusted grouper which was so disappointing. The plate looked unappetizing and everything was so bland. We also tried the scallops which were cooked really well but the risotto was crunchy on the inside and mushy on the outside. The sweet potato cake was unfortunately awful. We couldn't take more than one bite. If these plates were around $20 we would have somewhat enjoyed it. casual experience with high end prices. read more
