Even though I'm giving them four stars, I was a tiny bit disappointed with my Chill Out Cab experience. The driver was late coming to pick me up for a 6:30 a.m. cross-country flight, which made me very nervous. He was only seven minutes late, but that was seven minutes of anxiety. Otherwise, the ride was swift and smooth, the driver very polite, and considering that I only made the reservation ten hours before my pickup time, I couldn't have asked for much more. Raised to 5 stars because of NO 6 STAR available. i cannot say more about this service. Manel and his Lincoln waited for me and my wife at airport for like 2 hours from 10:30!!! meaning he was driving us back to our place at 12:30!!!! and he said he wanted to maintain his service because "we were late when you leave boston, we want to pick up you from airport free of charge." INDEED it was free, at all cost. I was so deeply touched when he waited for me and my wife and our flights kept delaying! We wanted to pay but he said "we said free service, then it is free." I realize it is completely different level of service of my mistaken cab service when i left boston. This first Class is FIRST CLASS you deserve. HIIIIIIIIGHLY recommended!!!! read more

I like taking the train to NYC - the AMTRAK people are nice and they have free wi-fi! But getting the 5:10am ACELA on a weekday morning gives me the heebie jeebies. Nevermind the nightmare possibility of sleeping through the snooze and waking up when your train is already in NYC. With no Red LIne until 5:20 am, who wants to be that mad woman with two bags waving frantically on Mass Ave at 4.30am? Apparently other yelpers share these fears which is why I went straight to the source to find Chill Out First Class Cab. Chilling out is not something I am very good at doing, but these guys put me at ease by showing up EARLY (already waiting when I walked out the front of my building), being friendly and helpful, and getting me to South Station in 10 minutes. The only tiny thing I could point out was that the cab smelled a bit like cigarettes . . but that could also just be a cab smell. I now have a go-to cab service in my neighborhood! read more

We have used Chill Out Cab several times, usually for early morning flights, and Al always gets to our house in JP on time, though usually early. I don't take taxis often, and I'd never taken one to Logan, so I didn't really know where to start. I looked around for some reviews, came out with a few leads, and ended up going with Chill Out 1st Class. It worked out great. He was patient on the phone (I talked to some pretty rude people at other taxi companies), politely talkative during the ride but didn't butt in when we were conversing amongst ourselves, scheduled a pickup in advance for after our return flight 10 days later, and then was already there waiting for us when our return flight arrived 30 minutes early. read more

Finally, a cab company that I can feel confident about. You call, set a time, and Al (or his other driver) will be there. I asked Al to pick us up at Logan, and of course he agreed. Due to the now-common plane problems, I had to call him four times to change our arrival time. I called Chill Out First Class to reserve a ride for a 5am ride to the airport a few months ago (sorry, I'm a little delayed on my review). First, the good parts: I liked the text message confirmations, and the driver arrived a few minutes early, which is wonderful because I'm always afraid of my cab being late or not showing up when I have an early morning flight. We had a little trouble finding where he was parked, but that is understandable because our address is rather confusing. The bad part, however, was the fee. I had made the reservation after being promised a $35 flat fee from my apartment at MIT to the airport. However, our driver said he knew nothing about this and charged us $50 (before tip) for the 15 minute drive in no traffic. If I knew I'd be getting a fair price, I would recommend this company, but I'm extremely hesitant to use this company again when other companies will get me to the airport for only $30. read more

Al is the best for a ride to Logan; he once picked me up at 4:45 in the morning! Instead of walking to the nearest taxi stand, I always call him. His rate is lower than the meter from where I live, and he's always been on time. I generally call the day before, but even the day of he has usually been able to pick me up. read more

Excellent experience! Al was our driver. Prompt, polite, and a super nice car. I warned him ahead of time that we would need to install our car seats and it was super fast using LATCH connectors in the car. Communication was excellent and the price was right. This place was expensive cost us $40 something from Cambridge to the airport. We used another cab company from the airport to home and it only cost us $32. That being said they came to get us with 10min notice and were very nice. read more

This company is on point. This review is a little delayed. I used the service back in June, when I needed a ride from to Logan from JP. Still, I was so happy with the service, I wanted to give a recommendation even if a little belated. First, not only was the driver on time, he was 10-15 minutes early, at 5am. I can't tell you how many times I have had an early flight and have been stressed by cab drivers who do not show at the appointed time and then I'm spending 15 minutes calling to track them down. The driver was professional and pleasant. He helped my husband with my absurdly large and heavy luggage. I remember the price being reasonable, I think it was $45 with tolls and everything included, again from JP to the airport. Also, the route he took was fast! In short, no complaints. Okay, here's the story: I had to catch a last minute flight leaving at 6:15 am! I decided to call this taxi service the day before the flight. Surprisingly, the guy I talked to on the other end (I think he was also the driver) said that it was fine. The next day (or later that evening or whatever), I was picked up right on time from the hotel. The cab was clean, the driver was great, and the ride was nice. The radio wasn't turned on, but we had a great talk about the city and the 4thof July weekend. This cost was about $30, but I gave him a tip. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this company if you're in the Boston area. read more

Just got another pickup to Logan, and as usual, I got there on-time, and with great customer service. This time, I got a driver, named Wilson. Like Al, Wilson has a positive attitude and provides great customer service. Wilson apparently got to my neighborhood quite early (an hour before scheduled pick-up time) and just hung out in his cab until my pickup time. I love using Chill-Out First Class Cab. The excellent customer service that Al and Wilson provide is so unusual for cab companies in Boston. One thing to note, though: The two times I used this service in which Al was not the driver, the fare quoted to me was $5 more than what Al quoted. So, that's something you may want to verify once you're in the cab. Wilson was very cool about it, and we didn't need to make a call to Al. I live outside of Boston and had to get to Logan. I'm not really one for taking taxis, but after reading that the T might take me 1 1/2 hours to get to Logan, and after reading all of Al's great reviews on Yelp, I called him and arranged a time for him to come and pick me up. He came (and early, which was great!) and got me to the airport quicker than I could have imagined. He got me there so quickly that I was able to take an earlier flight, making what could have been an incredibly long day that much shorter. Coming back, I was also on an earlier flight, but I called Al as soon as I landed and he came to the airport to pick me up again (hours earlier than I was supposed to have originally landed.) Al has the best prices and is the nicest taxi driver I've ever had! Al is the only taxi I will ever take in Boston again: I cannot recommend him enough! read more

Pre-arranged my ride from CA to Logan the week prior to arrival. Car was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Was going into Newton for a few days, then arranged ride into Boston for a few days, then again for my return to Logan. All three times Al was on time and a complete pleasure to deal with. His prices were less than a taxi, and in some cases less than a small shuttle. Al thanks for helping me "chill out" on what was a very difficult trip. Only complaint is that Logan Airport doesn't allow towncars to pick up their clients outside of the Baggage Area and found no employee there to assist. read more
