Even though I'm giving them four stars, I was a tiny bit disappointed with my Chill Out Cab experience. The driver was late coming to pick me up for a 6:30 a.m. cross-country flight, which made me very nervous. He was only seven minutes late, but that was seven minutes of anxiety. Otherwise, the ride was swift and smooth, the driver very polite, and considering that I only made the reservation ten hours before my pickup time, I couldn't have asked for much more. I would definitely call them again, making sure (double or triple checking) that they had my address right. read more

Al is the Man!!! I have been driving with Al for over 8 years, and he is always reliable , regardless of early pick ups (4 am to airport) or late pick up (delayed flights). Super professional , courteous, and over so many years, feels like an old friend who is always there for you. I recommend him to all my friends and family, and anyone who needs a trustworthy and clean ride (in a VERY nice car), with the best black car service in Boston! read more

Well, I have read the mixed reviews on Chill Out....so I thought I would give them a try. I am posting the first piece of this review now....I just called them at 7:45pm on Sunday for a very early morning pick up on Monday - 3:30am. I will be prepared for them not to show up, but I thought it would be interesting to rate their performance in real time. Stay tuned Sorry it took so long! They were on time and knew about Yelp and got me to the airport flawlessly! read more

Raised to 5 stars because of NO 6 STAR available. i cannot say more about this service. Manel and his Lincoln waited for me and my wife at airport for like 2 hours from 10:30!!! meaning he was driving us back to our place at 12:30!!!! and he said he wanted to maintain his service because "we were late when you leave boston, we want to pick up you from airport free of charge." INDEED it was free, at all cost. I was so deeply touched when he waited for me and my wife and our flights kept delaying! We wanted to pay but he said "we said free service, then it is free." I realize it is completely different level of service of my mistaken cab service when i left boston. This first Class is FIRST CLASS you deserve. HIIIIIIIIGHLY recommended!!!! read more

I like taking the train to NYC - the AMTRAK people are nice and they have free wi-fi! But getting the 5:10am ACELA on a weekday morning gives me the heebie jeebies. Nevermind the nightmare possibility of sleeping through the snooze and waking up when your train is already in NYC. With no Red LIne until 5:20 am, who wants to be that mad woman with two bags waving frantically on Mass Ave at 4.30am? Apparently other yelpers share these fears which is why I went straight to the source to find Chill Out First Class Cab. Chilling out is not something I am very good at doing, but these guys put me at ease by showing up EARLY (already waiting when I walked out the front of my building), being friendly and helpful, and getting me to South Station in 10 minutes. The only tiny thing I could point out was that the cab smelled a bit like cigarettes . . but that could also just be a cab smell. I now have a go-to cab service in my neighborhood! read more

I should have written a review a long time ago, because Al is seriously the best. We have used Chill Out Cab several times, usually for early morning flights, and Al always gets to our house in JP on time, though usually early. This morning I had to leave for the airport at 3:45, and he was there, no problem. And he is a super nice guy. read more

I don't take taxis often, and I'd never taken one to Logan, so I didn't really know where to start. I looked around for some reviews, came out with a few leads, and ended up going with Chill Out 1st Class. It worked out great. He was patient on the phone (I talked to some pretty rude people at other taxi companies), politely talkative during the ride but didn't butt in when we were conversing amongst ourselves, scheduled a pickup in advance for after our return flight 10 days later, and then was already there waiting for us when our return flight arrived 30 minutes early. read more

Update: So, they picked up my mom from the airport--but couldn't remember my address. (And after a red-eye, neither could my own mother). He called me quickly, and we got it worked out. read more

Finally, a cab company that I can feel confident about. You call, set a time, and Al (or his other driver) will be there. I asked Al to pick us up at Logan, and of course he agreed. Due to the now-common plane problems, I had to call him four times to change our arrival time. He couldn't have been more pleasant about it, and when we arrived, it was great to have a friendly face there to greet us (as well as a clean and roomy car). Richard read more

I called Chill Out First Class to reserve a ride for a 5am ride to the airport a few months ago (sorry, I'm a little delayed on my review). First, the good parts: I liked the text message confirmations, and the driver arrived a few minutes early, which is wonderful because I'm always afraid of my cab being late or not showing up when I have an early morning flight. We had a little trouble finding where he was parked, but that is understandable because our address is rather confusing. The bad part, however, was the fee. I had made the reservation after being promised a $35 flat fee from my apartment at MIT to the airport. However, our driver said he knew nothing about this and charged us $50 (before tip) for the 15 minute drive in no traffic. If I knew I'd be getting a fair price, I would recommend this company, but I'm extremely hesitant to use this company again when other companies will get me to the airport for only $30. read more

Al is the best for a ride to Logan; he once picked me up at 4:45 in the morning! Instead of walking to the nearest taxi stand, I always call him. His rate is lower than the meter from where I live, and he's always been on time. I generally call the day before, but even the day of he has usually been able to pick me up. read more

I called them, they picked up after 5 seconds. 30 seconds later, I had my ride to the airport arranged for the next day. And the next day, the driver was there on time and polite. read more

Just used the taxi service to go to the airport the other day. Everything went well. The taxi actually came earlier than expected. It was an uneventful trip to the airport in a clean cab and the price was in line with others' prices. read more

Al was early, helped with the luggage and took my mom and I to south station for a good flat rate. I've saved his number and will be using him for all future trips. I actually just scheduled two pick-up/drop-offs for this upcoming week and it's great to know I can count on someone reliable for my transportation needs. Thank you Al :) read more

Excellent experience! Al was our driver. Prompt, polite, and a super nice car. I warned him ahead of time that we would need to install our car seats and it was super fast using LATCH connectors in the car. Communication was excellent and the price was right. I can't think of anything that could have gone better! read more

This place was expensive cost us $40 something from Cambridge to the airport. We used another cab company from the airport to home and it only cost us $32. That being said they came to get us with 10min notice and were very nice. read more

All I can say is thank you. Thank you for coming at a ridiculous hour of the morning so I could catch a 5am train. Thank you even more for waiting - calling and waking me up when I over slept. Most of all, thank you for actually being 'Chill' the whole way as I panicked and getting me there with enough time that I could even get a coffee. This company lives up to both it's reviews AND it's name. read more

Chill Out First Class is the only car service I use when I am in Boston. Al is the best! He always arrives on time, the car is always clean, and he is always pleasant. He even remembers me! Price is fair and service is excellent! I wouldn't recommend anyone else! read more

I've been calling Al and Chill Out for the last five years and their service is EXCELLENT. They always arrive early at any hour (day or night), drive carefully, and get you where you need to go. Friendly and polite, they are a pleasure to drive with and unlike many Boston cabs, you never have to fear for your life as they drive responsibly and carefully. Can't recommend Chill Out highly enough - without question the best transportation service in Boston! Thank you, Al! read more

AWESOME TAXI ALERT!!! Ever since we moved to Boston four years ago, we were lucky enough to find and use Chill Out First Class Taxi. Al, the owner, is uber friendly, always on time (10 mins early, actually), helps with the luggage and knows all ins and outs of driving in this crazy city. His also charges a very competitive fee. Every time he arrives in his well cared for black Lincoln town car, you feel like you are about to enter a spa. Book your trips with him in advance by texting the time and place, because he gets booked fast. I'll never give my business to any other taxi company in Boston as long as I have Al. read more

By far the best cab company in Boston. You can text Al the day before and he'll be waiting for you even if your flight is bright and early! Why deal with cab companies that never show up, have dirty cars or horrible drivers? Chill Out First Class Cab is perfect - very clean luxury cars, professional and knowledgeable drivers and they're very reliable. Really - call Al and say goodbye to all of the other cab companies out there! read more

This company is on point. This review is a little delayed. I used the service back in June, when I needed a ride from to Logan from JP. Still, I was so happy with the service, I wanted to give a recommendation even if a little belated. First, not only was the driver on time, he was 10-15 minutes early, at 5am. I can't tell you how many times I have had an early flight and have been stressed by cab drivers who do not show at the appointed time and then I'm spending 15 minutes calling to track them down. The driver was professional and pleasant. He helped my husband with my absurdly large and heavy luggage. I remember the price being reasonable, I think it was $45 with tolls and everything included, again from JP to the airport. Also, the route he took was fast! In short, no complaints. Would recommend to friends any time. read more

I've been a loyal 'chilled out' customer for years and have always received flawless, reliable service when taking super early treks to Logan. Seeing the few negative reviews make me think they may have the wrong company - Al has always been reliable, relaxed, on time, and a great value. Use him with no hesitation whatsoever. read more

Al is simply the best. He is friendly and utterly dependable. We had two 5 AM pickups in Milton to get to a 7 AM flight from Logan, and Al was early both times. He also met our delayed return flight from CA. He communicates efficiently and quickly and we honestly enjoyed his company. I would give him 10 stars if I could. read more

Found all the great reviews and decided to call the morning my son and I were going to fly home from Boston. I saw all the comments about Al and guess what, we got Al. Al was personable, very easy going and best of all....on time...since we were staying at an apt in JP. My son is moving to Boston soon and we will definitely use this jewel of a shuttle service again. Thanks for responding to my text very quickly and showing up in a nice, clean and shiny black car. This is the way to get around Boston !!! Portia from Hamilton, MT read more

Top notch service. Booked cab by text the night before for an airport ride and he shows up 15 mins early. Head and shoulders above other cab companies in the area. Will be using this service for all future taxi needs. read more

The driver is awesome! I was in town from SF and needed a taxi to Logan at the very very last minute. To Yelp I went for cab recommendations. He arrived perfectly on time and got me to Logan in 10 mins at a hassle-free flat rate. Plus he made change for my $100 bill without a grumble. (I have no idea why I was carrying around a $100 bill, but it was all I had.) He's super friendly, a great driver, and the cab is clean. Thank you, Yelp and Chill out Cab! read more

Okay, here's the story: I had to catch a last minute flight leaving at 6:15 am! I decided to call this taxi service the day before the flight. Surprisingly, the guy I talked to on the other end (I think he was also the driver) said that it was fine. The next day (or later that evening or whatever), I was picked up right on time from the hotel. The cab was clean, the driver was great, and the ride was nice. The radio wasn't turned on, but we had a great talk about the city and the 4thof July weekend. This cost was about $30, but I gave him a tip. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this company if you're in the Boston area. read more

Just got another pickup to Logan, and as usual, I got there on-time, and with great customer service. This time, I got a driver, named Wilson. Like Al, Wilson has a positive attitude and provides great customer service. Wilson apparently got to my neighborhood quite early (an hour before scheduled pick-up time) and just hung out in his cab until my pickup time. I love using Chill-Out First Class Cab. The excellent customer service that Al and Wilson provide is so unusual for cab companies in Boston. One thing to note, though: The two times I used this service in which Al was not the driver, the fare quoted to me was $5 more than what Al quoted. So, that's something you may want to verify once you're in the cab. Wilson was very cool about it, and we didn't need to make a call to Al. Would be happy to get Al or Wilson again in the future. read more

I love this place. They gave me a ride from MIT to the airport for a flat rate and had plenty of great conversation along the way. Very friendly and helpful. I recommend them all the time! :D read more

Al is the man! He really took care of us while we were in Cambridge. We would text him and let him know where we wanted to go and when, then almost immediately we'd get his signature reply: 'received and confirmed. Thx. Al'. Then held be there with a smile to welcome us to his comfortable Lincoln town car and deliver us to our destination. We highly recommend Al. Treat yourself well and chill out first class. Dan and Suzanne. read more

I decided to try this company out because of very good reviews on yelp... but I haven't even been able to reach them. I've had a phone call, an email, and two texts completely ignored. Luckily I was trying to book something ahead of time, so I still had time to figure something else out, but if I'd been relying on them for a ride right away I would have been screwed. read more

Al at Chill Out Taxi is the best. Always early, polite and friendly and blows the other major taxi services out of state. They suck quite frankly. I have had Metro, et. al not show, be 1/2 hour late to airport and that's just not cool. Uber is good, but give the business to the local guy!!! read more

I live outside of Boston and had to get to Logan. I'm not really one for taking taxis, but after reading that the T might take me 1 1/2 hours to get to Logan, and after reading all of Al's great reviews on Yelp, I called him and arranged a time for him to come and pick me up. He came (and early, which was great!) and got me to the airport quicker than I could have imagined. He got me there so quickly that I was able to take an earlier flight, making what could have been an incredibly long day that much shorter. Coming back, I was also on an earlier flight, but I called Al as soon as I landed and he came to the airport to pick me up again (hours earlier than I was supposed to have originally landed.) Al has the best prices and is the nicest taxi driver I've ever had! Al is the only taxi I will ever take in Boston again: I cannot recommend him enough! read more

Nice clean cab, early to arrive, and friendly for a 4 am ride to the airport, that is my kind of cab!

When I'm in a pinch and need a taxi immediately- I cringe as I call other services. However if I have anywhere from an hour notice that I need a cab- Chill out is the friendliest, most reliable, and wallet friendly service. I have called chill out more times than I can remember, not a single complaint! read more

I had an amazing experience with this company. Today was the first time I called them and the whole service was perfect! They were very cordial over the phone, the nice driver, Manel (I think that's how it is spelled!) arrived on time, helped with the heavy luggage, and drove safely during the snow storm. I will definitely keep using their service and recommend them to my friends! read more

First time using this service and I crossed my fingers. So far an enjoyable experience. The driver (forgot his name...Jeff?) gave me a brief history of the company from my place in Somerville to airport. He also came on time for my 5:30 AM flight. Will use this cab service again. read more

Pre-arranged my ride from CA to Logan the week prior to arrival. Car was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Was going into Newton for a few days, then arranged ride into Boston for a few days, then again for my return to Logan. All three times Al was on time and a complete pleasure to deal with. His prices were less than a taxi, and in some cases less than a small shuttle. Al thanks for helping me "chill out" on what was a very difficult trip. Only complaint is that Logan Airport doesn't allow towncars to pick up their clients outside of the Baggage Area and found no employee there to assist. read more
