Excellent service. They were much lower priced than other area vendors whom I contacted and I appreciated their flat rate and being able to prepay, including a tip. They texted me a polite reminder they were coming that morning, were on time, and notified me of their arrival promptly. The vehicle was impeccably clean, and even had bottled water available if I wanted it! The most courteous driver you could hope for; we had a most pleasant chat to the airport - and despite heavy traffic, and construction blocks - he knew exactly how to get around them without stress. He shared with me that the cab drivers own their vehicles and are responsible for them, which impressed me because it shows their commitment to 'old-fashioned' quality service. Hit and miss. The first time I used Cabbies everything was perfect. Prompt service, friendly driver, decent driving. The second time, the driver was rude and pushy about my colleagues not being at the car yet, even though it was before the scheduled pickup time. I had an acceptable experience (driver was prompt, we got to the destination on time, etc). But I will echo what others said: I was asked to pay and tip *before* we left my apartment, and I was again and again reminded over text that the price was $ plus a 15% tip. If they want to charge this much as a fixed cost, they should include the 15% in the price, instead of calling it a tip. I will also say that this company is *not* pet friendly. When I was booking over the phone, I mentioned that I had a small dog and asked if he could sit in his carrier in the car. One condition of booking was that I had to agree to keep my dog on the floor. I agreed and then was pestered to make sure that the dog is completely inside the carrier (because otherwise "they'll have to take the car to the cleaners"). I also received a call the day before my ride asking if I could be picked up 15 min earlier because "no one wanted to pick up a dog". I get it. Not everyone likes dogs. But seriously? If you don't want dogs in the car, just decline the booking. That being said, the cab companies in the area are generally bad. So if you are ok with paying up front, and don't mind being treated gruffly, then go for it. read more

I have tried Cabbie's Cab once so far, and I found it reliable and efficient. Car was large and clean. The only thing I didnt like is how the price is advertised: Cambridge - Airport 35$ (plus tip). Actually while paying by credit card, I was obliged to put a tip of 20% in advance; in other words the real price is 42$ fixed tip include. This is ok for me, as long as the price is shown correctly in a transparent way: in fact if the tip is mandatory and fixed, that is not a tip any more, it is simply part of the tariff, and consequently it should be clearly shown. read more

While my cab to the airport was fine and uneventful, I was quite frustrated by the customer service, which has dissuaded me from wanting to recommend cabbies can to others. I had an early flight so reserved a car for 5:00 AM. At 4:35 (25 minutes early), I received a call from my driver telling me he was outside. When I explained that I appreciated him being early, but that I was still getting ready, as I was expecting to leave at 5, he pushed me to hurry up to meet him as soon as possible. Once I got in the car, quite frustrated due to the poor service at such an early hour, we proceeded to the airport. I arrived on time, but I would recommend that that they do not continue this policy of pestering customers to leave well-before their intended pick up time. The best possible recommendation I can give for this company - I have another early morning flight at the end of this month, and I'm using them again. No question. They provided me an instant quote for last minute car service to Logan. I forgot to order a taxi in advance - no problem! $50 flat rate (Ok, I'm not that worried about traffic at 4:00 am, but that included all the tolls, which is good for me.) They confirmed via text, showed up 15 minutes early, and got me to the airport quickly. The car was clean, and the driver was polite. That's really all I'm looking for from this type of company. A taxi from Logan to my house, in no traffic, is around $40, but it's worth paying a little extra for guaranteed good service - especially after I read the reviews for other places that may or may not decide to show up. Finally a reliable cab service! Booked a cab online for my family members to the airport, received a text 15 minutes later. Very easy booking process via text. We originally wanted to be picked up at 5:30 but the earliest available time was 6:00, so we went for that. Guess what? The driver was already at my door before 5:30 and didn't need directions on how to find us as our address is quite misleading. My family members arrived at the airport around 6 in a Honda and they had a very pleasant ride. The driver, as I'm told, was very friendly, helped with the luggage and made small talk during the ride. Will definitely use them again in the future when we need a ride to the airport. I had a pleasant experience with Cabbie's Cab. Their online booking service is very easy to use and it is nice to be able to communicate with texting. As other reviews have said, they are VERY punctual. My driver arrived about 20-30 minutes ahead of the time I requested a cab for and he called me when they arrived. I was still in the shower when they called and had to run out to find my phone so that they wouldn't drive away without me. I appreciate that they are early, because being early is MUCH better than being late, but I think it would help if they just texted to say "I am here! So here I am: the day before 4th of July, in need of a 6:15am pick-up to the airport for me and my 5 bags. I don't want to risk waiting around refreshing Lyft and Uber until a driver is free for me and ordering a cab from Boston cab companies is out of the question due to my past awful experiences with them... Cabbie's Cab ends up being my solution based on their great Yelp reviews. Even the text messages in messy English freak me out a little, I trust them and accept the $46 rate they offer me (Mission Hill-Logan). However, all the reviews that mention that they're early are true. I'm not saying that it's bad to be early but when your driver arrives at 5:45am instead of 6:15am, it's not necessarily good either... I had literally just rolled out of bed, still had to close one last suitcase and check I had everything with me... And here I am, with my driver calling me 30mns early (!!!) to tell me to come at the door because he just arrived. UGH. I really wish they'd just arrive on time or 5~10mns early MAXIMUM because I kind of had to rush out the door at 5:50am and it wasn't nice. Anyway, the ride to Logan was smooth and the driver helped me carry my bags in and out of the cab onto the sidewalk at the terminal, which is always appreciated. I travel frequently to New York from Cambridge and use Cabbie's Cab for my airport rides (often very early morning). The company is very accommodating and easy to book. They are always early and waiting in a nice warm car. I also wanted to mention that I recently was able to jump on an earlier flight home...I had already booked Cabbie's Cab for later that evening. As I was running to my flight, I texted Cabbie's Cab about the change in hopes they would be able to adjust. No problem...I arrived to a text message letting me know they were there, no change in price, happy driver and a warm car waiting for me. I found Cabbie's Cab on yelp, and I am so glad that I did! I made a reservation to be driven to the airport at 7:45am. At 7:30, I got a text message from my cab driver. He let me know that he was waiting outside my apartment, in case I wanted to leave early. He also called around 7:40, as I did not respond to the text (I was running around getting ready). I finally leave my apartment at 7:45 on the dot, and he is sitting right front of the main entrance. This is pretty darn impressive for my busy Cambridge street. He asks if I have a preference for routes, and I tell him that I do not. We end up taking this awesome route that gets us to Logan in much less time than I had budgeted. He manages to avoid rush hour traffic completely. I also want to comment on how nice and clean his car was. It was a Honda Accord, not a normal cab car, and it was impeccably clean inside. Between the pleasant conversation and the comfortable car, the ride was really quite enjoyable. Overall, I can't think of any ways in which I would want to improve this service. Great service! I needed an early ride to Logan from the back bay and this service was much nicer than the cabs I haave typically taken. They seem to prefer coordinating the pickup via SMS or email, which was great with me. I get the sense that my nicely conversant driver was the owner. I just called again to book him for another trip to the airport which at $35 you can't beat! I was impressed that immediately after I booked, I received a confirmation text on my phone. My driver, Rajan was punctual, arriving 10 minutes early. The car was super clean and comfortable and although it was like 5 am- I didn't mind having a conversation with him. He is just a genuinely nice guy...and hi tech I might add. When it came time to pay, he whipped out his IPad and charged my card and sent a confirmation email right then and there. My boyfriend and I rode with Cabbie's Cab from Mass Ave in Cambridge to South Station this afternoon. Couldn't have been better. When I was ordering the car the day before my ride, the dispatcher asked if I had any luggage. I told him I had one large piece of luggage. But what I didn't specify until pickup was that it was actually a huge box with a bicycle inside. (I'd already gotten burned by Flat Rate Cab who tried to send an overpriced S.U.V. instead of a regularly priced car for transporting such a large object.) The driver was hesitant to take on this luggage at first because it was a huge box and his white Honda Accord was brand-new, but I talked him into it and the fit ended up being just right. My boyfriend sat in the front seat and I sat crossed-legged in the back seat. We had a lovely smooth ride with pleasant yet meaningful conversation among the three of us. I'm going to rave about Cabbie's Cab to all of my friends in the Cambridge area! Plus, the driver arrived for pickup over 20 minutes early and notified me through text message. They made me pay $46 for the 13 minute ride to the airport online the day before, and then gave me a hard time in the morning about the payment. Tried Cabbie's Cab after some discouraging rides with Cambridge Cab. Their service was excellent - the driver was on time, drove well and was very pleasant. I would have given it a full 5 stars except that it was the only cab ride to the airport from Porter Square that cost $48 WITHOUT TIP! What?!! Normally I can get to the airport for $30-$35, but this was ridiculous. The driver took me all the way to Fresh Pond Parkway and around, despite my protest that we were going the wrong way. In any event, when we arrived at the airport, I calmly told him that I thought we took a "detour" because I've never paid this much. He told me that rates have recently gone up and that all rides from Harvard are a flat $43. Is this really true? He then knocked off about $6 from the fare, leading me to think that he knew it was a "detour." I still have never taken this long, round-about way to Logan. So, thought I really want to give it a full 5, and on the other end 3 stars for driving me all over town, I'll end up with a 4. I appreciate that he was reasonable, but I wish that I never had to launch such a dispute. read more

This was a ride from Somerville to Logan airport early in the morning at 4:30. The owner Rajan came on time as promised, helped me with my over heavy luggage at my house and at the airport and we had a pleasant conversation too. Overall a pleasant experience. The only tiny negative was the pre-tipping on an already expensive cab ride. A tip is usually given *after* a ride and based on the overall experience. I knew about this before I booked it so I don't complain. The rating decrease is just a complaint about the overall policy of 15% tip in advance itself. I might have well tipped that amount - just not in advance. Overall though, I do recommend Cabbie's Cab. read more

Read good reviews and felt confident using this company to order a 3:45 AM cab ride to Logan. It was an international flight for a week-long vacation. I liked how everything was in writing via text, etc. The attitude of the driver was terrible, though, and will make me never use them again. The dirty details are below: Cab driver arrived at 3:27AM and texted and called that he was downstairs. I told him that we were not expecting him for another 15-20 minutes, but that we would try to get downstairs ASAP. He called at least two more times before 3:45 to tell us he was there, ask how long we were going to be, and complaining there was nowhere to park. (We live on a quiet residential street in Dorchester with street parking only, but it was literally the dead of the night, and it was SUNDAY morning. He could have pulled into a parallel spot in front of any number of driveways while he waited, or simply driven around the block once or twice if he had to. To me, these are things that cab drivers should deal with, and I should not have to instruct them about.) I got downstairs at 3:45AM, and my boyfriend was still upstairs locking everything up and carrying a larger suitcase. I got there and he complains that we are running late, asks me if anyone else is coming, etc. I tell him that my boyfriend will be down in a minute, and he huffs and puffs about being late. Before we leave the house, he asks us how we are paying, cash or credit. I told him credit. Then he verbally asks me how much we are going to tip him. I wanted to say, "Let's wait to see if we make it to the airport on time," but I'm too nice and just wanted to get there, so I just told him some reasonable number. I thought it was very awkward to ASK how much we wanted to tip before we even left the house! And for all his complaining, I think we pulled out of the street at about 3:49AM. Yeah, we really held him up. Please. It's our flight to potentially miss, buddy, not yours. Car was clean, and ride to the airport was relatively smooth. Considering we live 3 miles from the airport and are literally two turns from 93N, there wasn't much chance to screw it up. Although, he seemingly had never navigated the Columbia Road rotary ever before, and complained about having to go around it in order to get to the on-ramp. (He had previously tried to make an illegal left turn onto the on-ramp until we explained that there is a double yellow and you need to go to the rotary). Oh, also he first stopped at the Delta terminal when we were going to United and we had to prompt him to go to the next one. Would not recommend, would never use them again. Boo. read more

Very disappointed. Called to get a pickup from Oak Square in Brighton right off Soldier's Field Road and the cost quoted to me was $60. Sorry but I can call an actual limo service and get there for that price, and a true cab with hackney license will only run me $40 or so from my house. Seems like they only want to service Cambridge, if you live elsewhere you'll want to use someone else. read more
