Awesome, awesome, awesome. I have taken Chill Out about 4 times now for rides to the airport. Usually, very early in the morning. It has been an excellent experience each time. I just booked him for Thanksgiving morning. He is without exception on time, extremely professional, and very easy-going. He generally has on NPR and adjusts the volume to what you want. Last time he gave me a ride we had a nice conversation about soccer which I initiated and when I was done talking about it, he followed my lead and was quiet. Alright, the massive snow storm of the East coast hit and I was flying the day after at 6AM. I called seven different agencies, and after being told to hold and receiving busy signals for minutes I yelped this awesome Cab service! First of all, I called and they messed up and told me to call back later, and when I had called back they asked why I waited because they were booked. I played bitch and told them I called two hours earlier. The man immediately asked where I lived and set up a cab for me! Awesome!!! (I was desperate!) He arrived at my apartment 10 minutes early, helped me with my luggage at 4AM in the snow and even made cute small talk. Very friendly and incredibly speedy service to the airport! 35 dollar flat rate people! Enough SAID! Never again will I pay for some extra airport charge or be angered by crazy metro cab people! I booked more than 2 weeks ago for a ride to Boston Airport but Mr. Al couldn't provide me any service. He completely messed up the date even after I clearly mentioned that on a phone call and a booking request text message. Because of this I had to end up last minute new booking for a ride costing me double of what I should be paying. The driver picked us up on time and got us there much faster than the taxi service I used before. He seemed to know the area very well, as he didn't need a GPS to get to my sublet in Brighton or to my dorm in Cambridge. AND! He charged a very reasonable $25, in contrast to the $45 the other taxi service had me pay for the same trip. Texted Al on Wednesday if I could make a reservation on Friday at 2:30 pm from cambridge to Logan airport. I texted him my whole details about my address:street name, cambridge, MA, zip code. Quickly enough got the confirmation- nice. And he told me that the flat rate would be $35 - okay, if I took the ordinary cab it would be like $40 something. that would save me like $5. Friday 2:30- no cab appeared. What??!! Friday 2:35- I texted and called. No text back. Nobody picked up the phone. Really?!?! Friday 2:45- Finally reached Al. He said the driver went to another zone that had the same street name. Dude, not a good try, as I sent you three times my whole address. I ordered stuff online frequently, I know how to avoid that kind of situation and every time my stuff shipped to my place safe and sound. I told Al that whether I could get the cab or not? As I could not afford to waste any time. If he couldn't make it just say it straight so I wouldn't keep waiting and I would call for some other cab. He said he would ask the driver to go to my place within 15mins. Around 3:00pm - cab arrived. Very dirty inside. I felt sorry for my baggage as they all got dirty as well. Driver was a nice person. 3:50pm - arrived at Logan Airport Terminal C. The flat rate was $35 and I gave the driver $40. Sum up: the cab should of came at 2:30, and sent me to the airport at 3:00pm. But I actually waited until 3:00pm for the cab. And it got me to my destination around 4:00pm. Almost an hour late than the schedule. Never would I make reservation from you no more. What a professional -- this guy will have my business for as long as I live in Boston! I called Chill Out the night before I was leaving for Las Vegas (for a conference, if you can believe that!) and said I needed to be picked up at 5:45 the next morning. Al asked me for my name, address, and a phone number, and told me it would be a $35 flat fee for the trip from Brighton to Logan. He then ended the conversation with, "Thanks! See you tomorrow, Alicia." So friendly. And when I stumbled half-conscious out of my apartment the following morning after about three hours of sleep, he was waiting patiently and greeted me like I was an old friend. He put my bag in the trunk and then proceeded to take me on the most pleasant cab ride of my life. I called the day before I had to fly out of Boston Logan and we agreed to an 8:00 am pick because of traffic. He was there 10 minutes to eight and was very helpful loading our bags. Does Boston really not have the usual shuttle buses to the airport? Shared vans? Not that anyone could tell me about. Was either cab or T. The T is easy and cheap if you don;t have much baggage. I was leaving near rush hour and didn't want to deal with the crowds and my 2 bags. Yelp recommended Al, so I called him and made a reservation the day I left. Even by crowded Harvard Square guy showed up the exact minute he said he would. Very friendly. Flat $30. Got me to airport in under 15 min - so much for traffic. Called for a cab an hour in advance and the cabbie came 5 min early and honked politely outside our apartment. It took me 2-3 minutes to come down and tell him that we're not ready yet, so he pulled up to the street and waited patiently for us. I'm normally really scared that cabbies would drive away if I didn't come down immediately but this guy actually stuck around before I came down. There was a $30 flat rate fee from Central Square to Logan airport, which was awesome because we went during afternoon rush hour and we took Mass Pike, which is a longer route, but there was no traffic at all. The cabbie knew what he was doing! It makes me nervous to sit and watch the meter go up by the minute so the flat rate fee calmed my nerves. The cab smelled like baby powder and not cigarette smoke (which makes me nauseous, even more so on moving vehicles). Cabbie did take credit cards but he said it would take about 5 min to process so we just paid in cash. Cabbie was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. I used Chill Out about an hour ago to get to the airport, and my flight leaves in an hour. This guy is everything a cab service should be. Last night I was discussing my trip with my roommate, and he suggests that I call a cab, since trying to hail one at ~6AM can be difficult. I find Chill Out on Yelp and call at about 1AM. The first time I called it went to voicemail - this is clearly the guy's cell phone number! Panic washes over me; what if the number on Yelp is wrong; what if I have to call (god forbid) Brattle, or Yellow Cab, instead? I wait a minute and call again, and a tired-sounding man picks up the phone, and mumbles something that I later figured out was "Chill Out Cab." I give him my information and ask for a 5:45AM pickup. Before I hanging up I make sure he can accept a credit card. The next morning (or really, just a few hours later), I'm ready and excited to go, and at 5:43 I see his cab pull up outisde of my apartment. Perfect timing! Too many times cabs have shown up 15 minutes early and expected me to be ready to go. The cab is clean, and in great shape. The driver (who I'm pretty sure was the guy that picked up the phone) was a nice guy. We chatted briefly about the renovations being made to Sennott Park, but spent most of the time listening to NPR. A cabbie that listed to NPR at 6AM is clearly awesome. I budgeted 15 minutes for the ride from Central Square, but it took more like 12. When we got there, I found out the fixed fare was $30, so I gave him an extra $5. It took about 2 minutes for him to run my corporate card through his cell phone credit service, and we were good to go. read more

Used Chill Out for our transportation from the cruise ship into downtown Boston. Our diver Al was very nice, easy to communicate with via text, and was there waiting to pick us up. He was also very accommodating when our ship docked later than anticipated. The car Al drove was clean and his fares were very reasonable. The best service ever! I had Japanese friend going back to Japan and their flight was 6 am so they had to be picked up at 4 am! At 3:32 am I got text that taxi was there. Unfortunately I was not with them and could not alert them since I was sleeping but they waited for our friends and they got to the airport by 4:20 am!! This was the most highly rated cab company around Cambridge. That may not say much since most of the other companies had 1-2 stars and it still had a sprinkling of bad reviews. I took a chance. I called at 10:15pm the night before requestin a 5 am pick up from Central Square to Logan. The dispatcher was courteous and texted me a confirmation shortly afterward. The next morning as I'm stumbling around my apt while brushing my teeth and throwing last minute things in my luggage, I see a town car pull up along the major street...15 min early! As I scurry around, it disappears only to reappear directly in front of my apt 10 min early. I head down quickly in case it leaves. The driver took the Mass Pike to Logan and I arrived in less than 15 min. The ride to the airport was safe and the driver was friendly and chatted with me in a way that I could tell he was not a native New Englander. He accepted credit cards, just took a few minutes for him to dial a phone number, access an account, and punch in my card info. There was no receipt and no other opportunity to tip so I quickly dug up cash to hand him as I left. Would use his service again, at least for airport pick-ups and drop-offs. read more

I called on a Tuesday morning to schedule an afternoon pickup to Logan. Al arrived 15 minutes early but told me he didn't mind waiting until I was ready to leave. I was thrilled with his promptness, the cleanliness of the car and he was an excellent driver. There were only two downsides: first, the ride cost $45, not $35, as many on Yelp advertised. I didn't really mind this time because I was traveling for work but if I was picking up the tab I'd be peeved. Also, while I was able to pay with a credit card (I had called ahead to be sure as I had no cash) he ran it without giving me the opportunity to put in a gratuity. I'd probably call again but I'd get the pricing up front and I'd specify that I want to leave a gratuity. read more

I used Chill Out to get from my Harvard dorm to Logan, plus an errand on the way. It was only 45 dollars (and that's cuz I gave him a huge tip for capping the price for the ride at 30 or 35). He was super patient while I ran around like a crazed chicken trying to get everything out of my room, and the ride took maybe 15 minutes max. He's also a really nice guy, who made sure that I took the "Chill Out" part of the company name seriously. I'm never using another taxi service in Cambridge if I can help it. read more

It is rare that I am ever impressed by a Boston cab service And even more rare that I will bother tracking down my yelp password to log-in at 4:30am to write about said cab service. This cab service was worth yelping about. After a horrible experience traveling to the airport in another cab service last week I was thrilled with this service. I called around 1am and requested a cab pick-up for 4am - cabbie was sleepy but very pleasant and gently suggested that maybe a 4:15am cab would be fine for a 6am flight. I refused (I wanted time to grab another cab in case he didn't show) and it wasn't an issue. Cab showed up ten minutes early, and promptly called my cell. Car was very clean and pleasant to ride in - even the music taste was good - unusual for Boston cabs. I knew the real test would come when I whipped out a credit card upon arrival. It's a royal pain for me to expense items that aren't on my corporate card so I like putting everything on the credit card. The driver was very pleasant about taking my card and didn't balk at all - it took him a few minutes to call the credit card verification service but he kindly put the call on speaker phone so I could hear exactly what was being charged. Kudos. I would HIGHLY recommend this cab service to anyone. I know I'll be calling again - please don't swipe my 4am cab driver every Monday morning. ;) read more

So first let me say state that I am from the deep south and not at all a fan of not driving myself HOWEVER, I am smart enough to know that doing so in a starnge town with a tighline is not a good idea. Hence I began a search for a cab service in Boston, and as such after request quotes from multiple services settled on Chillout FIrst Class. WOW....what a pleasant experience... I arranged for a mid morning pickup at Logan with drop off in Cambridge and then return to Logan mid afternoon. On booking, Al provide a number for me to text when I was ready for pickup. I can't even believe that I found a taxi service that's good enough to be raved about, but Chill Out deserves all the accolodes it gets. I used them for a 6am run to the airport. I called at midnight the night before to set it up, so at first I had attitude that they didn't pull up right at 6am as scheduled. I called to make sure they were on the way and the guy assured me they'd be pulling up in 2 minutes. "Yeah, right, " I thought. But ChillOut came through. I still don't understand how they did it, but 2 minutes later a Boston Cab pulls up -- I thought they were trying to scoop the fare, but the guy leans out the window and tells us that our guy will be right there, and sure enough he was. The part I don't get is he came in a Boston Cab too. He explained that they do that so they can keep their pick-up promises when they get busy. I don't get how it works, and I don't care. It was just really nice to have a cab company that bends over backwards to keep its customers happy. Thanks Yelp for the recommendation. This is the worst cab experience I have. The cab is murmuring and scratching his back and his seat during the drive. I told the driver I'm going to concord the day before, but he doesn't even know how to spell concord on the GPS. The window is broken and it's a rainy day. The cat doesn't seem very clean. I have no idea how this taxi company gets the ratings it does. Horrible! BEWARE! I called for a taxi to take us to the airport at 5:30AM. Even texted to confirm the information. Never shows up! Call at 5:40 and they seem surprised they need to be at my house. I call again and HE CAN'T FIND ME. You have an address. No GPS?? We were with our 6 month old child waiting for a taxi. Stressful.
