Seemed popular, there were lots of people getting drinks. Walking the mall makes me thirsty. They use frozen mango. I asked the cashier if they use fresh mango and she told me that they use frozen mango. It took a little while to get my drink because there were so many other people who were ordering drinks ahead of me. However it's fairly quick to get my drink anyways. The boba at the bottom of the drink did not have much flavor. They were a little chewy like they should be. Most boba usually taste a little sweet because they've been soaking in a brown sugar mixture. However, these weren't soaking in any brown sugar mixture for a discernible amount of time, but I could taste a brown sugar liquid that was around the boba balls at the bottom of the cup. Overall, it was pretty good. I like the taste of frozen mango. The boba was decent.

Tiramisu drink, with extra mocha, whipped cream and Oreos.

Was here today, it was my first time there and the employee took its time to give details about every drink I asked about, was super helpful and very respectful even though I was asking a lot of questions, she was also very quick and the drink was very good.

We went for an avocado freeze and a Thai milk tea, and unfortunately, they didn't have either of those beverages in stock at the time. My husband settled for an almond milk tea, and I got a horchata with boba. The woman who took our order informed us that they don't use actual tea in any of their boba drinks- they use powdered tea. For the almond milk tea, they didn't use real almond milk. My horchata drink tasted good, and it was a good level of sweetness. The boba had a nice crunch and texture. The decor inside is nice and it was very clean. My children liked the indoor swing chairs. Overall, the drinks were okay, but I can't say for certain we'd go back because we live just as close to Joy Yees in Evanston.

The suburbs are limited when it comes to Bubble Tea. This store in Skokie does a great job. Their menu is straightforward as it gets (Carmel, Oreo, fruit, etc) and they had a very helpful and friendly person working the register. The food was made in a timely manner and it tasted great. I would certainly recommend this place for a cute, fun time with friends or family.

Almond Milk Tea is my favorite boba drink of all time but it has been difficult to locate it in the Midwest. I absolutely love this spot because they have it and it's good too! The person taking my order was really nice and the drink came out pretty quickly. The swing chairs are super fun too. I'm sure I'll be back.

You can't read this menu but I can read you.

People insulting this place, or saying it's the best boba they've had, need to just Chill. Chill bubble tea was my fault because I didn't listen to what she was saying. She asked me if I wanted Blended or over ice and I always prefer over ice - I am so done with Blended drinks. Stupid me asked for Blended and didn't realize what I was asking for. I have issues. The milk tea here actually tastes like one of those vanilla cappuccino Starbucks drinks. Exactly like an iced cappuccino from Wilson Farms back in the day. Which isn't really a good thing LOL but it's not awful, and can be good if you're in the mood for it. Next time I will try some over ice. The tapioca was really nice and it certainly wasn't a bad drink but there was a slightly odd coffee like taste to it which leads me to give this one a 4-star rating. But I will definitely try it again. The employees had a little bit of attitude because a bunch of people were coming in they're closing but they still made my stuff for me and I appreciated it. And when I started being nice to one of them she was nice to me. As if she was surprised that someone would be. The girl that came in before me could not have rushed to get in front of me any faster. And I betcha I was in more of a hurry than her. Jerk. It was quite frustrating. Lots of rude people in these parts. Not just her. Plenty. Suburbanites. Can't live with them, can't deport them. :)

I've given this place too many chances. Cashiers never get your order right and full menu is never available.

We arrived on a Saturday around 7:30 and they started getting packed and had a wait by 8. They are cash only but if you forget they have an atm inside as well! Prices are so shocking! Each bowl was about $14 which is the cheapest I've seen a bowl of pho in a looooong time. Food comes out pretty quickly. We order the appetizer fried shrimp Rangoon, bun Bo hue, pho dac biet, and avocado smoothie w/boba. The base of soup for both dishes was AMAZING! Good depth of flavor and not lacking anything. The bun Bo hue had a ton of meat and they even have the pork blood cubes! Pho dac biet was lacking a quantity of meat but good variety. The only complaint I have is the Avocado smoothie was very bland and didn't have much avocado taste. The boba tasted old because it didn't have its chewy texture anymore. Will DEFINITELY be coming back for the food!!!

Best of all, the prices are very affordable compared to other places I've tried. The goi cuon is only $5.50 for two rolls, while other restaurants charge around $7.50. I highly recommend this spot. Just keep in mind that they only accept cash, although there's an ATM inside.

Long time customer, first time complainer…read more Tried to go to dinner with my husband on Monday night 1-19-26. We walk in, were seated and I thought it seemed cold. I looked around and noticed that everyone in the restaurant was wearing a coat. We waited for 5 minutes, our waiter came by and brought menus and water, and I asked him if the heat was broken. And he told me yes the heat is broken. I don't know what the temperature was inside, but the carryout business was very busy and there were about 8 or 10 tables with people seated. Again, every single person was wearing a coat. I asked if the heat was going to be fixed right away, and he said no no maybe tomorrow. We left. When I go to Jess Cafe, I'm not looking for fine dining, or white tablecloths. I want dinner. Relatively quickly, inexpensively, and consistent. What I don't want is to freeze my ass off while I'm dining. We figured we'd come back the next night. Tuesday 1-20-26, I called to ask if the heat had been fixed. I was told no not really. So we stayed home for dinner. That's okay. Wednesday 1-21-26, had a meeting to go to, so my husband went out for pizza with a couple of friends. Today, Thursday 1-22-26. Long, long day at work, and it wasn't even time for lunch! My coworkers wanted to order Chinese food for lunch but before I committed I thought I would check with Jess Cafe to see if they had heat, because if they did my husband and I would go there for dinner. So I called. A nice guy answered the phone and I asked if they had heat. And he told me that it wasn't too bad, about 50° to 55°, but most customers were wearing coats and hats inside. So I ordered Chinese lunch with my friends at work and decided to write this review. The food at Jess Cafe is okay. It's not great, it's a little inconsistent, and some things are just not great at all. They also don't offer a lot of the standards that many Cantonese restaurants offer. Their potstickers are weird, they don't have shrimp toast, and they don't have the stuffed crab claws. We really like those. And they're Thai, and Korean food some of its passable but some of it is just gross. And what they charge for a small dish of kimchi you could buy a giant jar for the same price at Costco. It's nonetheless it's pretty good. As I said usually consistent, but here's my big complaint. And this is a message to the owner. A tall, good looking, skinny guy who lately has been running around in an orange down coat. Mr Jess Cafe - I don't care how you spend your money. It's your money. You earn it, you get to spend it however you want. But - if you're going to drive around in a big honking BMW SUV and perk it right in front of your restaurant fix the fucking heat so that your employees and patrons aren't freezing their asses off. You're in the hospitality business offer some hospitality. And park the fucking BMW in back because it's really kind of shitty to perk it right in front for your employees and customers to see whenever you want is freezing their gonads off. That's all I got thanks
