Some girlfriends and I were on a weekend cabin trip to Birdseye. After being stuck in the cabin, most of a rainy weekend, we decided to get out for some dinner. The restaurant was pretty small, but there was ample parking. It was clean and welcoming. We were seated promptly. The menu is a little bit overwhelming. There are a lot of choices. I ordered a margarita on the rocks and my friend ordered their jumbo spicy margarita. My drink was good. Hers was very large and did not look appetizing because of all if the jalapeño seeds floating in it. She was unable to drink it, it was too hot. Everyone in our party took sips out of it trying to get her money's worth but it just wasn't good. I ordered pollo rancho. It was good. I can't say I was blown away by the food but it was fine, a decent enough value for the price. I have no complaints about the food or the service. I can't say there was anything super special about this restaurant, but considering the area and not having too many choices, I appreciated this option being there and it was fine. Would probably return it in the area. read more
