For the Triple Dipper we chose the Southwestern Eggrolls, Fried Mozzarella, and Honey-Chipotle Chicken Strips. Eggrolls were made with crispy flour tortillas, chicken, black beans, corn, jalapeño Jack cheese, red peppers, spinach. Served with avocado-ranch. Fried Mozzarella was perfectly crisp with so much cheese. Perfect cheese pull when eaten fresh. Served with Marinara sauce. Chicken Strips were meaty and juicy, but I found the Honey-Chipotle was a little too salty. Served with house-made ranch. Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas tastes exactly as you would expect. Includes grilled chicken, shredded cheese, chile spices, bacon, house-made ranch. Served with pico, sour cream, ranch. I would definitely come back for the Southwestern Eggrolls and the Friend Mozzarella. I went to Chili's today because my granddaughter loves enchilada soup. I've never taken her there before, but she's been there before with her parents. I ordered a bowl of enchilada soup to go. When I got the soup, I asked if this was a bowl because it seemed very small. They said yes. When I got home and she was done I measured how much soup was in that little cup. It was 8 ounces. Their cup of soup is 4 oz ????A bowl of soup should be at least 12 ounces. I paid $11.63. It started off at eight dollars and change plus $.70 for tax. The girl asked me if I wanted to add a donation. I said no. But she included the 20% tip herself without asking,Which only came out to $1.30. If she would've asked me, I was going to give her two dollar tip for helping me because I didn't know how to order online. I decided to call Olive Garden. I asked how much would a bowl of soup cost me for takeout and how many ounces is for a bowl of soup? Olive Garden said it's $10 for a 16 ounce bowl of soup. Got to the restaurant for lunch. There were 4 tables and the rest of the store was empty. They told us it would be a minute. They waited for 1 of the tables to leave. Remember the rest of the restaurant was empty. They then take us to the table go to sit down and seat is soaked. Waitress apologizes saying she just wiped it down. She then takes paper towels wipes a seat dry then with same paper towels wipes the table down then the other seats. Seriously wipes the table after wiping seats. Disgusting. If I could give this Chili's zero stars, I would. We just came here for lunch about two hours ago. The servers were friendly but the food was very salty and greasy. It didn't taste good. Three of us had the Big Smasher Burger and one of us had a different sandwich. Two out of four burgers were undercooked and one was bloody enough that it had to be sent back and put back on the grill. Within an hour of eating, the three of us who had the Big Smasher Burger were sick. It started with a stomachache, and that turned urgent, racing to the toilet diarrhea. I personally went three times in a 30 minute period, and I rarely have stomach problems. My relative is throwing up and said this is the worst she's felt in her 87 years of life. That's bad. I ordered Chili's from this location using DoorDash on Sunday, 4/26 at 6:55 pm. When my 2 meat barbecue meal finally got to me, it was cold; this probably isn't the fault of Chili's though- in fact, I kind of expected it with how long DoorDash took to deliver the meal. I do however take issue with Chili's on the sorry state that my brisket was in. At first when I opened the plastic packaging, I didn't even see any brisket. After some digging, I found it hiding under a slice of garlic bread and laughed out loud; it was petrified, stringy, and shredded- not at all like pictured on the menu. I had expected a couple of tender slices, but was given a small portion of what looked like freeze dried pulled pork. Its my belief that Chili's ran out of brisket for the day, so they found a gross burnt end that they were going to throw out, stuck it in my to-go container, and hid this tiny shame under a slice of garlic bread. I will most likely eat at this location when they open back up for dining, but I will not order take out from them again. read more

I feel like it's expected to rate a national chain down, but I won't do it. When you go to a Chili's, you know what you are getting. That's something I love about chains-consistency. Our favorite thing, hands down, is the dry rub ribs. They are just amazing. The chicken crispers are good, and any burger is always solid, too. Fries are the perfect cut. We got delivery cocktails for the first time, and they were super-a margarita and a Tito's cocktail. A little watered down, but that's to do with the delivery time, not the execution. Why not a 5 star rating? -Arrived at this restaurant with only 3 tables occupied. Not crowded at all. Waited 3-5 minutes for a hostess to appear. Annoying! Almost walked out. -Music was too loud and too many pointless TVs in my face. Btw, I'm not elderly. -No one cleared off the dirty salad or appetizer dishes left on the table the entire time. The dishes just sat on the table throughout the entire meal. Extremely annoying! -Menu is too busy, kind of hard to follow. Needs to be more simplified, in my opinion. My score is mostly rated on food and price. Good points: I always find their food very good. Especially the ranch sauce they use. And love the cheese curds! Friendly staff. Cheap lunch prices. These bad reviews are pretty confusing to me... I've been to this Chili's 3 or 4 times since it opened and I've always looked forward to coming back. The building is in good condition and in my opinion it has pretty good ambiance for a place in Vestal. The servers have always been personable to me and wait times were never an issue - I've always been seated as soon as I walked in and the food has been brought out in a timely manner. And the food has been good (although I can't compare it to other Chilis' as this is the only one I've been to) but everything I've tried has been exciting and tasted great, although they do have a tendency to really slather on the sauce which might be a turn off for some. Th e one complaint I have is from the last time I visited - I got the Santa Fe Crispers salad, and the menu description reads: "Pico, avocado, cilantro, tortilla strips, and a drizzle of spicy Santa Fe sauce", and below there's an option below for "with spicy grilled chicken". Assuming that the normal version of the salad came with only what it said on the menu, as one does, I ordered it, thinking it was vegetarian, but when it came out, it had fried chicken on it. Turns out this is what it normally comes with even though there's no mention of chicken on the menu. Not really a problem with this location as much as a problem with the franchise and menu, but still really annoyed me. If you're going to have meat on a salad, you have to be clear about it coming with meat, it shouldn't be a surprise when I get it. read more

There were 3 of us that went, I want to make this ABSOLUTELY CLEAR this review is on behalf of all 3 of us and our experience we shared at this establishment. Place was busy but we were offered seats at the bar area. Food took 50 minutes to come out and when it did it was what you'll see in photos. I couldn't believe they were asking money for it...the waitress didn't care what she brought out she just made sure it got to the table, the cook didn't care how the food got to the customer as long as it got to him. The manager was nice but clearly overwhelmed with how busy it was. Bottom line is despite the fact that it was busy the food just was NOT good...that is ignoring the presentation, plating, forgetting the sides, etc. Steak was advertised with two sides (chose broccoli and mashed potatoes) but potatoes came out 20 minutes after everything else...by that time we had all lost our appetites. The first time I tried Chili's was in Dewitt NY. The food and service were excellent. The menu had a wide variety of choices and the atmosphere was relaxing. Last Thursday March 18, 2021 my wife and I went to Chili's in Vestal, NY. What a letdown! The 1 menu we had to share is pitiful. There are so few food choices they might as well just write them on a small blackboard or napkin. You have the options of salad or burger or fajitas. We thought it was supposed to be Tex-Mex food. Not just fajitas. Well we went Tex-Mex and had the fajitas. The food was fair at best. The atmosphere was terrible (like sitting in an empty warehouse ). Or server was nice but not very attentive. Overall I think we could have done a lot better than spending $52 for four so so fajitas. I would suggest that you might want to go elsewhere. read more

My mom and my two children and I went to chilis for a nice late lunch. We were seated and within 2 seconds the waiter came over. Very monotoned with no emotion asking what he can get for us. We asked if we could have a minute and he said still with no emotion or expression, I'm just here for your drinks. We waited a moment hoping he would give us time and he just stared at us. So we just spit out what ever we could think of. When ordering our food we asked for an extra plate because my mom and I would be splitting the dismantled Fajitas. When we got our food he didn't even give us a plate for the fajitas so my mom had to eat off of her tin foil that the wraps came in and I ate off the appetizer plate that was full of food. He also didn't bring us the dips we ordered with our chicken strips. He didn't come back for about 20 minutes. We asked for boxes and then he brought 3 boxes when we had 4 meals to wrap up. He didn't come back for another 20 minutes. Had to ask for another box from the hostess. My mom thought she could order an alcoholic drink to go so she asked and he said they aren't aloud to do that so she said ok then. 10 minutes later while we were waiting for the check the bar tender brings us a drink. We said we didn't order that and the waiter came over acting very rude saying that she still ordered it when she didn't. He said he would take it off our bill and when we went to pay it was on our bill. He said oh don't worry about that it's not actually on the bill. Our server, Rin, and the manager Rachel, were AMAZING. We came for our daughters 11th birthday, and they were pretty busy. Rin was so great about taking our order in a timely manner while also giving us time to enjoy our time together. My boyfriends steak was a little overcooked, but they fixed it immediately. Rachel brought out a new steak, and wanted to check on us. She was so friendly and relatable. We also got a birthday dessert for the birthday girl. When we paid our bill; they both stopped over and we talked about field hockey, dog rescues, and anything else important to us. They really knew how to make us feel like family. If I could read this place zero stars I would. For being a relatively new chili's the atmosphere is dull, and the food was beyond terrible. Ordered A lunch combo that came salad if you can call it that. Wilted lettuce was buried under the toppings of both of our salads. Not one, but two. Thankfully we noticed and turned the salad away. Like another poster stated previously, I would have more than likely relieved this awful experience 4 hours later. The steaks we received were undercooked. The only consolation we received was a $4 credit to remove the wilted greenery. It's sad that the best part of the meal was the brand new bottle of A1 we were given to douse our undercooked meat with. Never will I patronize this location again. My experiences at the Vestal Chili's are drastically different from the reviews that have been published here. I have been to this Chili's so many times, it will be difficult for me to be very specific in this review. I honestly cannot recall a negative experience I have had here. From the manager to the bartenders everyone is very nice. I will simply summarize my most recent visit. We arrived and were promptly seated by the gracious smiling hostess who made small talk with us while seating us at our table. We were again, promptly greeted by our server who took our drink order and delivered them (and numerous refills without asking). Our food came out in record time and was too hot to even eat, so we had to wait a few minutes, who can complain about that? I ordered some kind of grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad. If anyone likes Ranch dressing, I swear yall... Chili's ranch has a piece of my heart. Try it with your salad, or fries, sandwich. I dip my life in ranch dressing. Go big or go home. The food was very good, honestly a lot better than other restaurants we've been to in town. Our waitress came to our table several times during our meal (not obnoxiously, but conveniently) to see if we needed anything. We left full and happy. Nice place, but it went downhill from there. Had another waitress let us know that our waitress will be with us after waiting for her, btw it wasn't busy. Waitress comes and takes our order and forgets to ask me for a drink. I get my salad and she still has to bring us silverware, so she brings that and leaves and we have no napkins. Main order comes, daughter asked for chicken sandwich and she gets a turkey sandwich, waitress isn't to be found so she eats it and hates the bread that is on it. My margarita bowl has no pico, no sour cream, and no sauce on it as the menu states. Still no one around. We eat because we are hungry. Two bites left and she comes around to ask how things are.......I say just fine as I want to leave. After I sat down I read reviews on here and realized we should not have sat down. To start, I want to say that this restaurant just opened about a month ago so I didn't expect a perfect experience as they are training and learning everything. Took over 2 hours from the time we were seating to receive our food. Went with 4 people and 3 of our meals were totally wrong - items were not prepared at all to what the menu said. Drinks came with black stuff in the ice and waitress seemed really mad that we requested new drinks. After 3 attempts to get the right meals we gave up. Manager came over to the table and could have cared less. I understand they are learning but the terrible manager is what really ruined our night out. I will probably give them another try in a few months and hopefully they will have improved and have a new manager that actually cares that you get the meals you ordered. read more

I witnessed the servers being very happy to explain and recommend entrees to other patrons, and they're always in a good mood whenever I'm there. It's Chili's - and my rating reflects expectations for food when going to a chain restaurant such as Chili's/Applebees/TGIF/Ruby/Etc. Compared to such restaurants, the food is what you'd anticipate. I love getting the fresh guacamole as an appetizer there. it's a good value around $4-5 and you get a basket of chips with salsa and guacamole. You'll find that a lot of the other reviews complain about long wait times and poor service - that was indeed the case when they opened in February 2017, but it's no longer a problem. I go here once every six to eight months for check ups. The nachos are quite hard, and I lived 16 years on a galleon for perspective. In the past 15 minutes I have asked for club soda three times and have not been served. Please call for help on the Chili's hotline they said, but to no avail. Plus more disappointment. My friend spilled his strawberry drink and the bartender helped by just telling us to clean AROUND the mess. What did that do to help? Nothing at all. When my club soda finally arrived I was insulted as the waitress ripped the paper off a straw after I requested otherwise. If you think that was wasteful wait. The beers someone ordered at the bar were overfilled and spillage dripped all along the table. The patron next to me, very nice man, was stuck without napkins for one to three minutes while waiting for a waiter. He kept them greasy and it (the burger) went down easy. The nice fellas next to mentioned that their drink had no alcohol in it. I mean what a scam. Next thing to ruin the night was their Long Island drink, which was very alcoholic, that had a soapy substance floating in the top like leeches. Beans where cold server said rudely..oh no , no that can't be let me take it back for you! Then brought it back 15 minutes later. Sauce spilled all over the side of the bowl from overheating it in the microwave.While I was sitting there I was looking at the mirrors around me, they were filthy and spit on , Splashed on... Disgusting. Both my friend and I did not eat our food. The waitress never asked do we want to box it or why we didn't eat. We will never go back.
