I frequent chilis multiple times each month. I've never had a bad experience. Tonight there was a group of 7 of us and our combined bill was almost $200. The guacamole on the dip trio was brown, the shrimp on the steak surf and turf was cold, the quesadilla on the smokehouse combo was burnt and the host stared at me repeatedly. My friend that came with me told me that the host was staring at me and my kids in a negative way. Once my friend told me about the host staring I looked over and in less than 15 seconds I saw the host repeatedly glance at me and make eye contact and make an awkward face as if she got caught every time she looked away and making me increasingly uncomfortable when I informed the manager on duty she shrugged me off and explained with attitude that it was the hosts job to stand there. I asked if it was also the host's job to stare at me constantly and she said "no I can talk to her" but I can tell that she really didn't care how it made me feel. Typically we would order carry out but decided to be spontaneous and dine in. They seemed a little busy for a Thursday night at 7:30. We decided to wait the 30 minute wait anyway. We got seated around 8:15. By the time we placed our order half the restaurant was cleared, this is important! It was 8:30 when our order was taken. We placed our drinks, appetizers and entree orders all at once. We got our drinks and apps fairly quickly. But waited almost an hour for our meals. We had all our plates stacked up and empty drink cups. Waiter didn't check in on us, offer refills or anything. He was about to hand us our bill when he realized we never got our meals. He went into the kitchen to check on our food and I guess forgot about us again because he never checked in again. Much bigger party that arrived after us got all their food before we did and we still waited another 30 minutes. By this time we requested a manager because it was around 9:37 and they closed at 10. Between the time we waited for the manager to come to our table and packaged our meals to go, which was about 15 minutes; another table (same size party as ours) got seated, ordered their food and got their meals. Which we found to be ridiculously quick, specially since manager apologized and said they were short staffed. Idk who dropped the ball but it was a blame game from everyone involved. read more

I had to ask for extra sugar which should've been on the rim of the glass. I ordered the Chili'sBurger with their secret sauce. It must've been a big secret because I could not taste any sauce at all. The fries were cold, and not fresh. Very disappointed at the level Chili's has dived into. Went here for late lunch on a weekday. Parking was plenty and when we arrived, it was not too busy. Despite it not being too busy, the staff took quite a long time to attend to the table. We ordered our drinks and then we had to look for someone so we could place our food orders. Since I had a late breakfast, I opted for the $10 special. Their weekday lunch specials were filling and servings were huge! Taste-wise, they were not too bad at all. We typically order food from the Vacaville location and have been very satisfied. Recently we ordered from there for pickup and this review is based on that visit. Food - good, hot, and plentiful! Service - sucks! 2 stars accordingly. Staff and manager had lackadaisical attitudes and engage in unsafe practices. Upon arrival no one was at the counter. Two soft drinks were filled to the brim and stood alone on the customer's side of the counter. Finally a staff person appeared to assist me. While paying for my order another staff member finally arrived to tend to the drinks that were still sitting in front of me. Without care or concern she picked them up and slung their liquids onto my clothes and shoes! She also left a nice puddle on the counter. No apology or apparent concern for me or that her diners drinks may have been subjected to someone with COVID. We are still in a pandemic. Here's the kicker...I told both the staff assisting me and the manager. Neither of them showed any concern for my wetness or the lack of the server to keep those drinks protected from contamination. The manager had been assisting with orders in the kitchen, and when he came to speak with me he actually laid across the counter as if he welcomed the break. When I informed him of these issues he pretty much looked at me and said ok. Wow! Never have I felt so unappreciated, invisible, and disrespected. A simple I'm sorry that happened, can I get you a towel (or napkins) would have made me feel better at least. I can't allow myself to think the server did this intentionally so a simple apology would have sufficed. He could have also asked which server although I sensed he either knew or didn't care since he didn't inquire which server it was. I also thought he would have taken fresh drinks to those unaware customers when I reminded him it was still a pandemic, and told him how long the drinks were on the counter. Two other folks had also come in to pick up orders before me. Get it together Chili's. When we patronize your restaurant we are entrusting our tastebuds and wellbeing to you. New management needs to be properly trained on ADA laws and regulations. I understand that a lot of people abuse the term 'emotional support animal' but that is very different from a service animal. Regardless, you cannot ask a disabled person to present an "ID". I'm curious what the management would do if someone did present an ID - do you actually know what you're looking for? The allowed questions are: (1) if the animal is required because of a disability, and (2) what work the animal has been trained to perform. If the animal caused a disturbance, you may remove them. They also have outdoor seating which could have been used as an accommodation. The dog is a real service animal. Management really messed this one up read more

As such, indoor dining is permissible at reduced capacity. Chili's has managed to make this work successfully and even managed to successfully pay tribute to our nation's veterans this Veterans Day. They put together a great menu of free entrees including burgers, soups, salad and apps all free for active military and veterans. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and offers digital menu and contactless payment options. We tried the Old Timer Burger and chicken quesadilla. Both were fantastic! It's been years since I set foot in a Chili's and it's apparent they've stepped up there game in the food department. I probably won't wait so long to go back next time. Today, we ordered Lunch - Sirloin Steak 10oz with corn on a cob and fries - Rib Eye Steak with mashed potatoes and fries - The mashed potato wasnt just a simple one but with bacon and cheese and green onion, mix was delightful - Steak/s were soooo tender and Love the juice.. It wasnt dry and rubbery.. we really loved it, no need for A1 Sauce like other restaurants because of lack of flavor.. - Fries were soft and soggy but the flavor was there, So tasty Over all, the whole orders were perfect... I have had both negative and positive experiences here, so that's why I'm rating it 3 stars. We buried my father today at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. There were 35 of us in attendance. We wanted to treat our guests to lunch and called the Vacaville Chili's at 2 PM, asking if they could accommodate us in about 15 minutes or so. The manager promptly took the call and said he would have a section ready in about 25 minutes. We accepted gratefully. When we arrived 15 minutes later with 25 adults and 10 children (two highchairs), we were greeted immediately and seated within five minutes. They were ready for us. Our waitress was Melissa and she had a team of servers and helpers who helped her make everything run seamlessly. Their system is efficient and timely, a well-oiled machine. They were ALL polite, pleasant and accommodating...every single person from the manager to the servers/wait staff, service steward and back-of-house team. The food was delicious and we had just about everything on the menu. Drinks were excellent. They were conscious of the needs of the children and made sure these little ones were served promptly and had their food and something to keep them occupied. There was always something happening in that room and they didn't miss a beat. We cannot express our gratitude enough for a superb closing experience to the last three days of hundreds of family and friends celebrating the life of our parents. Today was attended by immediate family only and the experience, service, kindness and hospitality you extended to us will never be forgotten. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and will visit you again when we are in the area to remind ourselves of this very special ending you helped create at a very personal time in all our lives. We went during an outlet shopping spree and no we weren't giddy from all our great bargains. The staff was terrific! We ordered the 3 for me special and they diid not disappoint! Tonight my friend was harassed and denied service with their service animal due to staff's failure to train their employees on the ADA. The staff member Daniel Johnson(?) was extremely confrontational, demanding identification (which is illegal to ask for) He was extremely aggressive considering he's completely incorrect about the laws and will likely get his restaurant sued in the near future. I would advise that staff actually read the laws before discriminating against people with disabilities.
