Hannah, Devon, Paloma and Lindsey ( I think it's lindsey) just ask Hannah she knows who I'm talking about, are the absolute reason we come to chili's so often. The food is great but most of all we love the service. They are so friendly and so welcoming every time we sit down. The drinks are great, especially the frose margarita. Never a bad experience at the Turlock chili's. Shout out to the cooks for always getting our steaks cooked so perfectly. And a special shoutout to Hannah for knowing our order before we even order. Unfortunately their food quality has gone down. One of my daughters ordered the shrimp tacos and after only one bite she did not like them. My other daughter ordered a quesadilla and the tortilla was hard. Both of them opted for eating some of the appetizer we had order instead of their food. Even the appetizer was a bit on the dry side, but they were hungry. My ribs were dry and my husband's steak lacked flavor. Unfortunately it's not what it used to be. I don't know if it's the cook or what it is but it's not as good as it used to be. I won't be coming back because I know where to get better food. It's as simple as that good food gets my service. We arrived around 2pm... Lots of empty seating and no wait time... Was quickly escorted to our seats and given our drinks... We had a very nice and bubbly waiter which is always nice... Today we went to chilis in Turlock for dinner. I ordered fajitas with chicken and steak with no chipotle butter because I have a dairy allergy, my mother in law ordered chicken fajitas normal. When my food came out there was butter on my steak and chicken so I informed the server and she said they would remake it. But there was no butter on my mother in laws so they mixed them up. After waiting 20 mins for my food the the rest of the table being done eating my sister asked for a manager. When he got there we told him about the mix up but that because of that I was going to eat cold food taken home because with 3 toddlers we weren't going to be able to stay to let me enjoy my food. The manager informed us that they were almost done remaking my food but that he had spoken to his cook and there was definitely no butter on my plate but they were remaking it anyways. I told him yes one plate had none but it was the wrong plate and he AGAIN ARGUED that his cook said it was correct but they were remaking it anyways and he WALKED AWAY. Our server came after with our food and apologized as she had heard him argue with us after she had also need the butter on the plate. He then removed the food but tried to still charge me 7$ for the extra steak that was made. Our server removed it and we left her a huge tip as she handled the whole situation amazing and was SO SWEET. The managers name was SANTOS. I have contacted corporate to file a complaint since apparently their GM is on vacation but we won't be returning to this location to be called liars when I could have gotten severely sick from their mistake had I not caught it. I wish I could give 0 stars for management and kitchen but our server was amazing and deserves 5 starts! read more

Our appetizer was cooked perfectly , presented dynamically and tasted delicious! My chicken salad was also delicious and more than I could eat... however: when my companion's steak came it was dredged in grease and of low quality and they didn't have wifi ...wifi gets you a star from the get-go then it goes up or down from there. read more

I just had the worse experience I have ever had at a chili's ever. I watched the staff allow a man who was extremely intoxicated leave their business to drive home. This is NEVER okay and shame on this business for allow this happen! The staff kept telling us "he's a regular", but that does not mean it is okay to allow someone to drink and drive! We got no services as well, which I'm sure is because we voice concerned about the drunk man. I watched our server go to every table and avoid to come help us. read more

We always try to visit somewhere three times, we could have just been there on a bad night. On our third visit tonight I ordered a simple salad. After the fourth piece of brown or slimy lettuce, I asked my salad to be replaced. The salad was replaced, and after a few bites, I found more slimy lettuce, but I had to wander my way through it as we could not catch the attention of the waitress and my family were already halfway through the meal. When she did come back, she at least removed the salad from the bill. My daughter's steak was well done, not medium, but it was tasty so she kept it. The grand finale was to take my daughter's place, as requested by my daughter, place it on top of my grandson's unfinished meal, asking after that if he was done, to which he replied in a little voice, "No." This was our third and last try. read more

Food is so bland and flavorless. Customer service in the bar area was maybe a 2 out of 5. The teenie boper at the entrance greeting was a annoyed when we asked her if she could have someone wipe the table where we were going to sit at since there was no one else around. This could be the worst restaurant in California. There were open tables as we we waited 10 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, it took 20 minutes for our drinks and an hour and a half for our food to come. When it came, the orders they got right were cold, some orders were for another table and one order never came because they ran out of ingredients. I usually try to avoid Chili's because it seems to have really gone hill these last few years, but I was with an old friend & our kids, so it was probably one of the easiest places to find something everybody would like to eat. My go to food here is the Santa Fe salad & I always ask for extra avocado! This time around it was pretty yummy & the avocado & other veggies tasted very fresh! It was even a little spicy which was a nice surprise because I love spicy food! My munchkin got the 2 little cheeseburger bites/ sliders & a little salad w/ ranch. She ate everything so I'm thinking she enjoyed it! It was just the right amount for her for lunch! Everybody else got fajitas & burritos & Mac & cheese. They ate everything on their plates & the only complaint I heard about their food was that the burrito had only a few pieces of meat. Our waitress was a little rude. I don't know if we caught her on a bad day or if that's just her everyday attitude. She still managed to check on us & keep our drinks filled, so I can't complain too much because I've had much worse service at other chili's before. Absolutely wretched service. Popped in the other day for lunch, expecting predictable fare but instead had a terrible time. No one at the front to greet us, finally the manager saw us and gave us a table. Sticky table, even stickier menus, no silverware, empty ketchup bottle, no napkins, no salt in the salt'n pepper shaker. Talk about table prep! When our waitress FINALLY deigned to serve us , it took forever, to get refills on iced teas. The appetizer arrived so late I was ready to chew the table for sustenance. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, and it was overdone and grey on the inside. My partner ended up getting his entree in two stages. First the burger, and then 5 minutes later the fries. And no it wasn't 4.00 pm in the afternoon, it was smack dab at lunch hour (1.30 pm or so). And it wasn't just us. The table next to us had to ask US for extra napkins, and we ended up going over to the serving station ourselves to get utensils. I came in on 2/09/20 with my family, a party of 6. We we're told it was a 15 minutes wait for a table 10 minutes later another large party arrived and joined the waiting list. Shortly thereafter they were seated before us. When we asked why they were seated first we were told the manager wanted them seated first. Finally once we were seated we received terrible service. We were seated 10 minutes before drink orders were taken . When I complained about service they walked away. Based on our last visit, I won't be returning to this location. It has always been hit and miss, but Saturday, December 10th was the worst food and service I have had. While our waitress greeted us and got our drinks quickly, our nachos that were going to be "right up" didn't show up until approximately 15 minutes later. During this time our waitress didn't check on us. The nachos were good (or we were just starving), but the Oldtimer with cheese that I ordered, resembled charcoal. It was so overdone, that the cheese on top was hard (and nearly nonexistent). The lettuce was completely wilted. The entire time my husband ate his ribs (which were edible) the waitress didn't check on us. I ate 2 bites of my burger and a handful of cold fries. We paid and left without one person checking on us. If you want an excellent burger in the Turlock area, I suggest skipping Chili's and heading to Alcatraz Burger by the college. They at least offer great food and amazing customer service. read more

Chili's is Chili's, or so you'd think. Chain operations usually have a pretty good handle on standardization. This place was a mess! It doesn't take much to push a broom, but the floors were full of "things". The men's room was a mess and the floors were STICKY! Gross! Really Gross! Don't put your hands under your table or chair unless you want a piece of gum. Gross!! And there was a LOT of it so it hasn't been address in quite some time. I would have to say 5 years ago this was the place. Good customer service, food would come out on time, tasted good, and was cleaner. Chili's has really gone down the drain unfortunately. Everytime I go in the experience gets worse. I always look for that change but it is not happening. My last visit has really pushed me to the edge which was last night. I mean how long does it take to make a turkey sanwich? 2 hours? I was waiting two hours. K let me be honest one hours and fifty three minute for a sandwich. When we arrived at this location we had to wait for about 5 minutes for a host to acknowledge us. Then I asked for a booth & the male hostess said that wasn't possible because they were closing down one side of the resturaunt. Mind you it was around 9:00pm. So he sat us at a table & when the waitress came over I asked for a booth because I saw several couples in booths. I was listening to the hostess give people the wait times for tables. With 25 people waiting they said 25 to 30 minutes. Then with 5 people waiting they said 25 to 30 minutes. It was 45. Our waitress has forgotten us. Though it is not their fault we are sitting next to a screening child. It is the end of June and we had to rescue sweaters out of the car. Their is spilled food on the floor, our poor waitress just slipped in it. Too bad she decided not to clean it up after that. The drink could be thought good but after one sip I can feel the alcohol. If you want to get drunk order a drink hear. That may account for the noise level. Been to much better Chilies. Hope they improve. Always sit in the bar area. I find I always wind up with good service when we do, food is good and it's a quick in and out most of the time.

My son and I love going here and its usually super good service and good food... but there's always "that one time." Well, it's been more than once. I don't know if they're understaffed or not paying attention, but first say at the bar to order beers because every booth was dirty or people were already sitting there. That took a little over 5 minutes at least.... no bartender in sight. When she finally showed, we ordered chips and salsa and queso then the booth behind us was finally cleaned off, so we moved there. 15 minutes later, a couple comes in to sit where we were (and did NOT look anything like us) but they received the chips and salsa. Another 5 minutes later, here comes our queso. There were two ziosks at our table and the waitress slammed them around and was sooooo rude. She put the two ziosks on a charger or something and walked away. Queso, but no chips. Or salsa. Glad we had our beers. Another 10 minutes later we finally got our chips and salsa. Then we ordered... and our food took another 45 minutes. We got fajitas to share... can't take that long? The restaurant was NOT busy at all at this time on a Tuesday afternoon. After we finished our food, the ziosk on our table showed the wrong bill - waitress was rude again saying "that's not even your bill so I don't know why it's at your table." Ummmm because she gave it to us?! Wow. The paper bill took another 15 minutes, getting the debit card back took another 10 and to top it off, she ran it for another bill and had to cancel it. I'll be back, but seriously... hire some cool people who like to work with people. Otherwise, Chili's gets a bad name because of their rude attitude and poor customer service. I've gotta say I and my wife were kinda disappointed. The food was rather bland. My baby back ribs were so over sauced I couldn't taste the meat (what little there was). My wife's short ribs enchiladas were under seasoned and salty. My daughter's kids mini burgers were way over cooked they were mini charcoal briquettes. The best thing about our visit was our waitress, she checked on us frequently and made sure we were enjoying ourselves and that we always had something to drink. The molten Lava cake topped with ice cream was a great way to finish the evening. Unfortunately it will be a while before we'll come back. I'm from out of town visiting family and we came here to eat but we had a bad experience. My grandmother ordered a steak medium rare but it was well done. They tried to fix it but the second steak was just as well done. Consequently my grandmother just picked off of everyone else. I ordered my cheese fries without jalapenos but sure enough there was jalapenos on top. My mom ordered cheesecake for desert with the strawberry glaze on the side and there was none. We hadn't gone to this Chili's for a year or so due to a previous bad experience, but dear hubby wanted to give this one more go because there's an item on the menu that he used to love. So we went with the kiddos to eat one afternoon for a lunch/dinner. We were quickly seated, and that's when things went downhill. I ordered a salad. Hubby ordered his sizzling fajitas, and the kids each got a kids meal. We asked to start with chips and salsa. The waitress took a bit to bring our drinks. Then she took a bit more to bring our chips. Then we waited and waited and waited and waited. And then our food came. But they messed up and totally forgot to make one of the kid's meals, so we sat while our food got cold in front of us for 15 minutes for a kid's meal. Husband said that the fajitas were good, but nothing like steak he's had elsewhere. My salad was an ok salad, but nothing to write home about. And the kid's meals were just plain kids meals. ho-hum. Then we got the bill. Drinks and meal for family of 5 was $65+ BEFORE tip. Oy! Husband joked that he got a reminder of why we never eat at Chilis. read more
