If I could leave ZERO stars I would, this place really sucks. Under staffed, dirty, rude, terrible food...should I go on?!?!?

Terribly disappointed. This is my 3rd time here. Food was late, cold and just didn't seem like there was a lot of give a damn involved in its cooking. Had to send my black beans back because they were cold, had to cancel my daughters soup portion of her soup and salad because the rest of us were halfway done with our meals before we were notified of the delay. Bottomless chips and salsa were good till the third tray (3 adults, one pre-teen eating) which actually had cold chips. I won't be returning. read more

As of the moment. Absolutely nothing. My wife and I have been waiting for almost an hour for what was supposed to be a 35-40 minute wait. There's no receptionist at the front 90 % or the time. And people are going in and sitting without reservations before us. So no right now the business is lacking big time. Texarkana Tx needs more chili's because this one is a joke. read more

This place has plenty of seating. Still can easily have quite a few people during covid even with restrictions. However we were just in there at 6 pm on a Friday with the parking lot less than half full. We walk into the restaurant there are NO people in the two largest sections. Completely empty. The only place that has people eating in it are the bar area. There are TWO people at the hostess area so obviously one waitress one hostess. There's another waitress in the bar area. We are told there's a 20 MINUTE WAIT! There is NO ONE ELSE waiting to be seated. The place has barely anyone in it. There is a 20 MINUTE WAIT. That's just ridiculous! For starters, when we walked in, the girl at the podium didn't greet us. She acted like we weren't even there. We were finally seated and our server was apparently super busy and she reached out for help from another server which wasn't bad. Our order was taken and it took forever to get our food, maybe 30 min or more. I ordered a ribeye steak to be cooked medium. It came out well done. I was going to deal with it and just put salt on my bland veggies only to realize the salt shaker was gunked up and nasty. At that point I decided to ask for a new steak. While I waited, my family ate their food so that they weren't going to be eating cold food, and when my new steak finally came out, they were done and I ate while they watched. The new steak was rare instead of medium but I wasn't about to send it back. I should have known better than ordering a steak at a place like this. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. This is one of the worse restaurants I've ever been to. The first time we came, the hostess seated us and we sat there for 30 minutes before we were served! I watched the time on my phone! After we got a server, it was fine. However, tonight we showed up and the restaurant had a few tables and was making people wait 10-15 min to be seated. The tables were all full of dirty dishes and food. We asked to be seated with 5 people and were told that they couldn't seat more than 4! So we left! Good luck if you choose to eat there! read more

We are here from Dallas for a college graduation photo shoot so we decided to eat here, since it's Chili's after all. Big mistake. The lady at the hotel told us to avoid it due to bad service but we didn't listen. The service was ok. Not that great. When we walked in, there were 5 employees standing at the front and we were not greeted by any of them. My coworkers and I looked at each other and I commented that it felt like we were inconveniencing them. As a paying customer, you should never ever feel like you are inconveniencing the staff at a restaurant (or anywhere). So after several minutes of waiting, we were sat. We sat at a freshly cleaned table. So freshly cleaned that the seats and table were still wet from the dingy bleached water (that had probably been sitting out all day). So our bottoms ended up soaking up the excess cleaning liquid. I had ordered a black bean burger and when it came out, it was overcooked to the point of hardness. It was awful. There were little black specks from grill all over the burger - I felt like it was speaks of meat that had been cooked on the grill before. The lettuce was wilty and the pickled were awful. I had ordered extra pickles because they are made in-house and I've had them before and they were delicious, but not these. These were dried up and gross. I felt like they had been sitting out all day. We will never eat here again. We come here every fall and spring to shoot the graduation so I imagine that we will spend our money elsewhere. I don't think I'll be able to step foot into another Chili's for a loooooong time. read more

Booth was dirty, server was rude. I ordered a lunch combo with salad. I wasn't asked what kind of dressing I wanted and was brought a salad covered in too much ranch dressing. She left my fries off of my sandwich plate then when I asked she stated she didn't notice. Several employees could be heard talking loudly about customers who'd just left. read more

Wow. Wish I had read the reviews before coming to this particular Chilis. We were passing thru and had a lot of options near our hotel, but since we had stopped at several Chilis during our 2 week road trip we thought it would be fine. Bad idea. First of all our server, Brittany, didn't even acknowledge we were there for a good 10 minutes. Btw, the place was not crowded at all. The table near us had a different make server who really seemed on the ball. Oh well, just our luck. To make a long story short, after finally getting our drinks, by the time she brought our food, it was barely warm. I wasn't about to send it back or I may have still been there. Just paid and left. We had a wonderful date night at Chili's tonight. Our waiter was great. He checked on us several times and refilled drinks without us asking him to. The food was perfection. I ordered the Cheesey Bacon barbecue Chicken and broccoli. It was tender, juicy and low calorie. My husband ordered a Ribeye that was delicious as well. Will definitely be back. read more

Unsatisfying night. My girlfriend and I ordered southwestern egg rolls for an appetizer. When our entrees came out the waiter said he made a mistake and the order for the eggrolls never went through. Ok that happens sometimes. But since we didn't get our appetizer we decided to get dessert. Man are we glad we checked the little tabletop kiosk because he put in two molten lava cakes. We couldn't even finish ONE together why in the world would we order one each. Then when he brought out our one huge dessert he said he "comped" the other one like he was doing us a favor. I love chili's. This is my favorite restaurant and this one was the closest one to my college. I was very disappointed. They seem very understaffed. Waited 10 min to be seated and there was plenty of seating available, and no one in line. Waitress dropped three cups on the ground and they broke. Checked in at 2:02 on a holiday weekend. Just now leaving at 3:53. This restaurant is EXTREMELY understaffed. The entire main dining section was empty when we were seated after 25 minutes. They had 5 tables stacked one after another by the windows and the rest of the section empty. I ordered the express lunch soup and salad, a couple of kid meals, and a burger. 3 of the kids' drink choices were not available. The waiter was trying his hardest, but with only 3 waiters for the whole restaurant on a holiday weekend, what's a guy supppsed to do? We won't be coming back here. read more

The only thing I was thankful for was the delivery convenience option. Used DoorDash as the delivery service which went extremely well; the only issue I experienced was the food itself. Chili's Bar & Grill has top of the food, upper echelon quality, my only complaint was the temperature the food arrived at. I contacted their staff to explain the situation, at which Haley stated, "to get a refund you must go through doordash". I did not request a refund just wanted to rectify the situation for future transactions. Terrible food and customer service; will always choose Chilis, but NEVER through delivery. I want to give 0 stars. I guess I can't. I have contemplated posting this but I feel it needs to be out there. Sunday around 4:45 we finished up with barrel racing and decided to go eat at Chili's before heading home. We went into the Chili's in Texarkana with 5 adults and 4 kids. When we came in the waitress asked how many were in our party. We told her 9. She told us that one side of the restaurant was closed but the other half including the bar was open. There were several tables open. Actually there were only about 12 people in there to eat or drink total. She said that they would not be able to seat us together and we would have to sit at 2 separate tables. We said okay. There were 2 tables right next to each other. She proceeds to tell us we would have to have 2 separate checks for those tables. We said okay. Then all of a sudden she walks to the back and then back to us and tells us her manager told her they could not serve us because they didn't have room. Excuse me? The only tables occupied in the whole restaurant were the small tables right next to the bar. We were refused service for no good reason!! Honest to God! We did nothing! 4 hungry kids. We left and went to Outback Steakhouse and had a great meal. If you are in Texarkana I recommend not stopping at the Chili's! Please share away because this was wrong!! read more

I came to this Chili's with my family a few months back. The service was terrible, I said that I would never go back, but I decided to try it out again and see if anything was fixed. It was not. Me and my friends had a wait that was supposed to be 15 minutes, turned out to be 30 minutes. We were seated and was instantly greeted by a female that said she was out waitress and took orders for out drinks. A drink came out wrong but I kept it. Another person came up to our table to give us chips and salsa and we ordered some queso, then he left. We then had ANOTHER different person take our orders about 40 minutes after the chips (still haven't gotten our queso), and he left without asking if we needed our chips or drinks refilled. We spent about an hour and thirty minutes waiting for our queso to arrive along with out food until we had to talk to someone about it and he said that it would be coming out any minute. Took about 10 more minutes until our food actually arrived, we then got more chips, along with our drinks refilled, but still no queso. The food was I would say lukewarm. It did not seem fresh at all. We then just asked our newest waiter if we could just get the queso togo and he said sure. After eating (Which took maybe 10 minutes), we waited for our ticket for 30 minutes. Terrible service, will not come back for sure. Very disappointing. read more

Wish I could give less than 1 star however I guess not possible. This is the dirtiest restaurant I have EVER been to. I'm 65 YO and have been to many. If I had not been with a large group to celebrate an event I would have left. If you have a large group DO NOT expect to sit even close together. We had a party of 18 to celebrate a special event. We knew we would probably be split up at separate tables HOWEVER not clear across the room from one another. I mean 5 to 6 tables apart. And the kicker is there were PLENTY of tables closer that would have accommodated our party however they insisted this wasn't possible. ...no one sat in those tables the whole time we were there. Ridiculous...to say the least. Wait staff was not helpful. Chili's Texarkana I expected more from you. My local Chili's is much better than this. Shame on you Texarkana Chili's for such a BAD experience. I really think corporate should be contacted...and I will. The real issue that corporate should be aware of is the filth/dirtiness of the restaurant. read more

Food very slow coming our waitress would disappear to the point we had to ask a waiter for assistance 2x (his name was Chris he was great). I have visited this location for years when passing by on I-30. Always a solid mediocre dining experience..until today. Upon arrival everyone was placed on the wait list and given the vibrating beeper. But wait the dining room is far from filled, well with customers. What is was filled with was dirty, uncleared tables. I still didn't panic and bolt back out of the door...but I should have. Two appetizers ordered, they arrived at the table several minutes apart. In all fairness the young man who was the server appeared to try to please but when he required prompting for silverware and later for plates from which to eat the appetizers....I came to believe poor (very poor) training was the problem. For the rest of the meal he kept drinks filled and took away dishes pretty well. The area remained cluttered with uncleared and half cleared tables throughout my entire visit. I couldn't help but notice the adjacent table of five adults and their female server. A man brought out a tray of food, which he balanced on one hand while passing out food with the other hand. Yes...passing out! Exaggerated leaning across diners to reach the other side of the table with a plate of food and the large tray still balanced on the other hand was comical to watch...and the diners wisely intercepted the plates and served each other. I couldn't believe my eyes. In short order four dinners were on the table...but wait there are five diners. The man, who I've decided looks like a used car or maybe a used book salesman, departs and it becomes painfully obvious to all the fifth diner's meal may not materialize. Several long minutes later four eaters have drained their beverages, offered bites to their hungry companion and are all looking around hoping to be rescued. In a while longer the waitress appears with the missing food and turns to apparently get more beverages. The diners group five mugs together and sure enough new drinks arrive. The empties are ignored and the server went away again for long enough to cause her diners more distress. She returns and is apparently asked for the check. She walks away empty handed again even though there are now stacks of empty plates in addition to the ten or more now empty mugs. I can't watch any more! It's like a bad sit com! My server apologized when I commented on the "apparent negative energy" in the restaurant. I thanked him for service "that was just fine" and that I was thankful not to have been seated one table over. I won't give this particular Chili's another try for quite a while to come. If any owner, manager or franchisor reads my remarks....there is serious work to be done here, get at it! read more

Went to this place at around 3:30 PM on a Friday. Felt like we were bothering the wait staff for coming in during an "off peak" time. Only ordered dessert... Molten lava cake. Which was good I admit, however, it was weird to find ICE pieces in the ice cream. It was like the ice cream melted, they put it back in the freezer and it got freezer burn. hmm... Oh yeah and we ordered spinach artichoke dip. The cheese wasn't melted and it was not hot... Service was so so... found it odd that they didn't even have the check holders. The waitress just handed us the bill... Don't think I'll be returning to this place.. Not recommended. read more

We have frequented this restaurant for years and have never had a problem until recently. The service was VERY slow and it wasn't busy. We weren't given silverware or plates to go with our appetizer (which was cold) it was just a very negative experience. We left and ate dinner somewhere else and won't be going back for a long while. read more

Ate there Tuesday night after driving in from New Orleans. Not a pleasant experience at all. Took forever to even place our order for beverages, hostess took it then they never came until we asked our waitress about it when she came much later to take our dinner order. 3 tables around us stayed dirty for time we were there. Food was mediocre, for the price of our bill it should have been superb! Seemed that the waitress had the entire side to take care of so not sure if service is her fault or management for not staffing more. horrible, horrible employees. They left us waiting to speak with a hostess for 20 minutes. They then refused to seat a table over 4...when there were 2 other tables in eyeshot with 5 and 6 people. When this was pointed out it suddenly became apparent that the waitstaff was hadn't noticed (they must have had a whole new person magically appear out of nowhere! Call the priest honey cause we have a miracle!) We left and later came back to try and split up into a table of 3 and 2, but then the wait time didn't work with our schedule so we just left and complained about the fact they didn't tell us that the first time we were there. An employee followed us out and acted threatening to our teenage girl. Completely ridiculous, idiotic, and most of all an unsafe environment for families. SKIP THIS ALTOGETHER!! I had shrimp tacos, and while it wasn't terrible, the flavor was off (i think it was whatever the white sauce is) and the shrimp was overcooked (read: tough). I've had it with this Chilis. I stopped going for about 3 years bc they had roaches on the tables, chip machines, ect every time we went! This time, it was ice cold, they brought us BROWN, CRUSTY mashed potatoes and I showed our server and we literally finished our meal before we got the replacement. Was told upon arriving that the wait would be almost 30 minutes, which honestly was not a problem except that everyone that was waiting before us was also told 30 minutes, or less. In actuality, we waited a couple minutes shy of an hour just to be seated for two. Server was great, courteous, and regularly checked in on us and the appetizers came out within 5-10 minutes. Then we waited, and waited, and waited some more for a little over another hour just for the entrées. When the food finally arrived I found mine (a full rack of ribs) to be chewy, overly dry, tough and had trouble finishing even half a rack. The service was great, but the food was sub par and took too long. Having to drive 40 minutes just to wait another 2 hours was exhausting and not worth it. read more
