This place was great! Great employees! Great experience! Only issue DO NOT USE THE GRUB HUB OPTION. We have come and have dinner here many times. They have great chicken. But apparently they have forgotten about the pandemic. None of the staff are wearing mask, no one in the kitchen had a mask on. I was still trying to finish telling them what sides I wanted on the first meal when the person game me a total and said to pull around. I told them I was still trying to order - to which I got no reply. We were about to just drive off but she finally said "did you want something else?" I said yes, but can you read back the first item on the order? Then more silence. Then someone different came on the speaker and in a rude tone tells us to pull around because they need to take the orders of the other cars behind us. When we got around there, a girl walks out with a really bad attitude to get the rest of our order. I tell her the first item again - since she never repeated it back, and really sarcastically she says "yeah, I already got that". Late Sunday night. Exterior and interior are clean and in good repair. The waitress was courteous and fast. I worried when I ordered breasts because she said she'd have to check. (Most fast food restaurants quit cooking after a certain time.) She came back and asked what sides? Whew! The chicken was hot and fresh and tender. The Italian green beans tasted great, but they seemed like CE was getting near the bottom of the pot. The roll tasted like it was fresh from the oven: neither greasy nor hard and dry. You get that choice in the south, you know. Several side choices include southern staples like mashed potatoes with gravy (white), fries, fried pickles, corn nuggets (they're fried too), cheese poppers with jalapeños (fried), coleslaw, Italian green beans (I like them), Mac & cheese. I usually like chicken express but today it was horrible the food I received looked as if it had been sitting underneath the heat lamps for hours it was dry when I ordered it there was another couple there before me I ordered the 8 piece family meal with extra sides it took less then a minute to get my food before the couple that had already ordered before me like I said it's usually good so why check when I got home I was shocked to see what I had received dry old looking chicken with very cold sides the only thing warm was the rolls so in conclusion I'll probably go back but I'm very disappointed read more

To say, the food is fine. The employees are the most hateful, lazy bunch of people I have seen in a long time. Not only do they stand around, on their phones, but act like they are doing me a favor by being there. I was in a hurry yesterday, Friday, Sept. 24th, trying to get to work and they informed me it would be ten minutes before the gizzards were ready. I could see some in a bin and asked for those. They said they were cooking them fresh and I said I would take the ones that were ready if the black girl could get off the phone long enough to get them for me. Wrong thing to say, mention the phone and someone goes ballistic. So I left and called the manager to say I did not appreciate her attitude. Then the manager gave it to me and told me not to come in the store again. I feel that I was very nice and did not deserve this kind of treatment. Needless to say, I won't be back and will let everyone I know the way I was treated. The store manager should have been apologetic instead of taking up for employees who are on the phone and not taking care of customers.
