I don't understand why it is so frightening to cook bacon until it is actually done. I made a point of asking for my bacon extra crisp but for some reason they heard "'throw it on the grill just until it's hot then put this white , limp , fat on a sandwich . Pathetic ! read more

The service is good. But the manager there takes advantage of my girlfriend, because when she's a door hop and the customer tip her for being their door hop. The manager tells my girlfriend to give the person that's waiting their table the tip money. Next the manager keeps calling my girlfriend to work on days that she's off. And the manager keeps changing her work schedule. Not to mention other workers are quitting their jobs because of her. Not a bad stop before heading into Arkansas. The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean, and the food is very consistent with other WH's that I've stopped at in the past. If I had one complaint, it was that the jukebox that is almost directly behind the bar seat closest to the cash register is very, very loud in terms of the bass. I actually moved to another end of the bar just so that I didn't have the full effect of it ringing in my ear lobes as I sipped on coffee. The exit access to I-30 is just around the corner, so you don't really have to go out of your way to leave the area. There is a Cracker Barrel down the street that has better food, yet if you are trying to save a few dollars with something hot and not junk food, I would stop at this location while traveling. read more

I've eaten at Waffle House all across the south from Florida to Texas and this one is, by far, the filthiest. The floor in the dining area under the tables was strewn with napkins and the floor in the cooking area had food all over it. I asked for some syrup since the bottle on my table was empty when we sat down, and I was brought a bottle that was literally dripping with syrup on the outside with a sticky handle. The server was less than enthusiastic and really didn't want to be there. Based on the other reviews I guess I just showed up on a bad day. read more

Absolutely the worst Waffle House I've ever been to. We have given this location multiple chances, and they never fail to disappoint. This time we waited 20 minutes for them to clear the multiple tables that were available, for us to even be seated and they just acted like they couldn't even see us standing there waiting. They had no desire to clear the tables so that the people waiting could be seated. 3 groups of people left because they wouldn't clear tables and seat them, which we ended up leaving as well. Terrible service, disgusting kitchen, and floors. I will NEVER come back here again. Pitiful. read more

I should have checked out the Yelp ratings before I picked a breakfast spot. I stopped at Denny's on State Line and had an absolutely awful experience (enough so that I posted my very first Yelp rating). Then I picked this Waffle House due to its 3 star rating vs Denny's 1 star. WH was WAY better. It's a very basic breakfast restaurant but the service was very prompt and unlike Denny's they actually had cream for my coffee and they also had milk and the service was at least 5 times faster. read more

We ate there late at night. When they brought our cutlery they were dirty and we sent them back. The table had dirt caked in the area where they place the ketchup and hot sauce on the table. My husband and I love the breakfast at Waffle House. Today as we sat in our booth eating , an employee was hollering loudly to the cook menu orders. The cook was a few steps away. Her hollering continued making my husband and myself nervous and almost unable to choke down our food. I asked our waitress if she could please ask the hollering employee to tone it down. The hollering employee replied if she did she would get in trouble! Her supervisor came over and said employee was required to stand on white tile to give menu orders and etc. even standing on white tile the cook was still only a few steps away and could hear her even if she whispered. It was such disorganized, we made our I got my eggs,hash brown and my spouse got his sausage. Then they brought out a waffle that was so thin you could see through it. When he finally got his eggs the yellow was broken and fried hard. After waiting for 10 more minutes I still had not gotten my bacon or waffle. It took about 45 minutes from the time we got there and decide to leave with out eating. It was the worst place I have been to. The floor where cook was standing had about half an inch of water. All of the floor was dirty. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. read more
