Was told 10-15 minutes for the wait time and 30 minutes later still wasn't seated. The host was very rude!

Chili's have been slipping lately. My Cajun Chicken Pasta came out lukewarm and was anything but "Cajun". I was very disappointed. My daughters boyfriend ordered Chicken bites fried and they came out as homemade batter. They were very busy when we were there but I do expect good food regardless. read more

First the okay stuff. The wait staff was friendly and the service was acceptable. The food was as expected as far as taste. First appearance, the place was acceptably clean. However, After visiting the restroom (women's) I questioned the cleanliness of the entire place. Buildup in the corners and around the stools and barely functioning equipment. However, this was no worse than most facilities of this age and it was not a complete turn off. Besides we had already ordered our food. Food arrived acceptably warm however, yes another however, one of our orders (a burger) did not arrive with the others. The runner indicated she would be right back with the order, but she wasn't. A manager passed by and noticed that one person at the table had no food and indicated he would be right back. The server showed up and told us that the order had been overlooked but would cooked now and out ASAP. Most of us had finished eating or had almost finished by this time. The burger eventually arrived and was cooked correctly and tasty however, yes, another however, they did not comp the burger, one of the child meals, a drink or anything. No apologies. No acknowledgment. We did not ask for, nor indicate we expected a comp. but it would have been a nice jester and an incentive to visit this "okay-but-not-great-nor-really-clean-not-exceptional" Chili's again. The building needs maintenance (window sill rot) and the parking lot is horribly potholed. It is some serious need of attention. It will be a while before we stop back in on a trip to Springfield. There are many, many other places better maintained and better managed to waste time and money here (FYI - our meal - plus tip - was over $100 for 4 adults and 2 children). read more

On May 10, Wife and I placed our order at 6:28 for curbside pickup. Was notified would be read between 7:12 and 7:18. Arrived at 7:20. 2 hours later still no food. After a 3 hour wait was finally given cold food. Contacted corporate and as of a week later they still have not responded. Will not go to any Chili's again and recommend others stay away. read more

Worst chicken fajitas I've ever had. They sliced an obviously baked chicken breast on top of some grilled onions and peppers. No grilled flavor to the meat. Corn tortillas were like rubber. Very disappointed. read more

We have always loved Chili's, until today. Ordered chicken fajitas and double burger from the lunch menu. My chicken fajitas were just a slightly grilled SMALL chicken breast with skillet full of slightly cooked onions yuck. My daughter's double burger was chargrilled, charred being a good description for the burger. Only my ex would serve some thing this charred. The only thing good about this lunch were the chips and salsa. 2 stars for the great service. The food was awful!! read more

Stopped here for lunch yesterday. It was 11:28 when I walked in the door....1:00 when I left. Does that tell you anything??? When I walked in, I waited, waited, waited and the hostess podium. No hostess in sight and no acknowledgement from the few servers I saw. Have they gone to seat yourself? Nope. Finally saw a server and asked if anyone was seating today? She came over, looked at the chart, and seated me in her section. She asked what I would like to drink....and then disappeared. About 10 minutes later, another server came over and asked what I would like to drink. I told her I had ordered unsweet iced tea, but then that server disappeared. She left to go get the tea. First server reappeared with my tea. Served other people in the area and came back to take my order. I ordered the California Flat Bread and waited. Waited. Waited. Waited. Finally, here comes my lunch. The flat bread is on the appetizer list (probably meant to be shared, though it's not huge) and is served on a long, narrow tray. I didn't get a small plate to put my piece on -- just eat off the tray. OK, fine. I'm the only one eating off of it. Great....flat bread is cold. Not cold like it's been in the frig -- cold like it's been sitting in the kitchen ready to bring out, but ignored. I'm very hungry at this point, so I just eat it. When finished, I checked out on the machine on the table. I didn't have another 30 minutes to wait on the server!! I love the food at Chili's. Choices are great and the food is good (when it's hot), but it will be a while before I go back to this one!! read more

We had a very good experience holding a business dinner meeting at this location. The staff rearranged tables for us. The food was quite good -- I chose the fajita platter with grilled chicken and seared shrimp. The platter was piping hot and delicious but a 99-cent side of rice and beans disappointed. The rice was cold when served and the beans looked like a soup rather than a side of black beans should look. Still, we enjoyed ourselves and our server kept our glasses refilled. Margaritas and lunch in the bar. Very nice bartender and decent food. Not spectacular but perfect for a mid-day stop while shopping.

Go to Chilis a lot and we enjoy it. Went today and service was great Lindsey was great. Soda and chips were always refilled and she was very nice. Other places in Springfield could learn from Chilis. read more

We've been here twice since we've been at St. John's. We originally wanted to go to Red Robin but its always packed. Both times we've been to this location, the food and service is excellent. Love the bacon avocado chicken sandwich on the pretzel bun, and their salsa is really tasty, just the perfect spiciness. The $20 dinner/lunch for two is a good deal, good selection. read more

This is my favorite place to eat in Springfield. However, I will not be back for a while. My first bite into my favorite chicken fingers ever was spit back out!! They were so rubbery. My mom had the same problem. We called the manager over and he said"Yeah, we have had some complaints, can I get you some different ones?" Ummm... No!! I ordered chips and salsa with my meal and enjoyed both the meal and chips. I asked for a carry out container and as I packed the chips that remained in the basket I saw weevils crawling around in the last few chips. The hostess took my basket and presented it to our waiter. When he returned with my check we asked if he understood what had happened. He shrugged and told us he told the general manager about it. He said the GM said it wasn't a bug just fleas. No one apologized or seemed alarmed, it must be a pretty common complaint to be handled so casually. I wasn't asking for a break on my meal cost but at least an attempt at an apology would have been nice. Thanks Chili's for not charging me extra for the "fleas". read more

Just average at best. Like a flip of the coin your either getting stale chips and salsa or how it's supposed to be chips and salsa. How you constantly turd up chips and salsa is beyond me but they tend to accomplish this. Service is lacking to where you have to remind them what you ordered several times but no surprise around these parts. There is no stand alone items that keep you coming back here. The baby back ribs died in the 90s and the fajitas here are over priced infant portioned. read more

Very good place for casual Mexican. I always take my date here as the service is reliable and the food always tastes good. The only problem I have is that at the 3rd or 4th bowl of bottomless chips, they start giving you older chips. They are a bit stale and don't taste nearly as good. read more

I think that I have found the best food ever. At first I was skeptical about eating in a bar, but I found that they have the best in taking care of everyone and making sure you are comfortable and satisfied. They met us at the door and took up to a set right away, it was very hot and they offered drinks then. I was sup-prized to find the menu was easy to read and offered lots of variety. I had to chose the ribs and they came out and I had eat the first one and order another they were the best I had every had, I did however order one for my friend that could not come. Dad wound up not feeling so well all night after having quesadillas here. Those ziosk things are awful. I had no idea when my kids started touching it that wed wind up with a $1.99 charge. Complained to the server who blew it off. Should require a credit card if you're going to have them, make basic games free like at Buffalo Wild Wings, or better just get rid of them! I swore I would never eat at Chili's again but it was New Year's Eve and every other restaurant at White Oak was packed. Chili's had more empty tables than occupied and that should have been a red flag but we sat at the bar. I ordered a ribeye steak and my business partner ordered a rib/chicken combo. We got our food and I looked at my steak and saw it was pan fried. Strike one. I cut into it and found it cooked medium when I ordered medium rare. Strike two. I chewed it and was disgusted as it was tough as leather. Strike 3. I asked the bartender if this was a ribeye and he said it was. I told him that was by far the worst steak I had ever sunk my teeth into and he took it back and I settled on a bland chili burger. My bartender was great; it wasn't his fault but I would have thought a manager would have come over to apologize. They didn't. This was the final nail and I will never give them a penny of my money. And we paid $7.25 for a Blue Moon. read more

I can't help but go there for the queso dip and chips. The steak fajitas are by far and away the best thing on the menu as they are perfectly cooked and always fresh tasting. They are also accommodating to special orders. The southwestern egg rolls are tasty as is the southwestern cobb salad, although both are not the healthiest items on the menu. read more

Dirty, dirty, dirty. I'm at the bar and it is filthy. I can see into the kitchen and there is food all over the floor. There is a leak in the ceiling in the bar with a 5 gallon pale catching the water. There is a Chili's in my home town I and it is managed much better than this place. Poor management. read more

This restaurant has call ahead seating which we usually love because we have a child with severe autism and other issues added in. This particular Saturday night, I called and specifically said we would need a booth (it's easier and more comfortable for our son) I was told it would be 35 minutes. We arrived 30 minutes later. It was quite busy and we were asked to have a seat and we did absolutely without complaint. While we were waiting (another25 minutes) our child was becoming anxious. We were then called to be seated and they said that they were going to sit us at a table. They said we would have to wait another 20 minutes if we weren't going to take the table. We left and had to get fast food because every other sit down restaurant near had a wait as well. We were very upset and won't be returning. It wouldn't have been so bad if they weren't rude about it. We are always aware of our son's needs and try to plan accordingly. We weren't asking for to be seated ahead of others, we just knew that there was no way out child could wait longer. I am very saddened by the way we were treated. read more
