I will say the waiter was spot on though! The shrimp were these little bitty size pieces of shrimp, the pepper last and onions were not cooked fully, and the pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole were like like a spoonful each. So a few months ago, for our first visit, this Chilis was NOT on point. We must have hit it on a bad day because we just tried it again and it rivaled other Chilis. It was good. Service was good, restaurant was clean, and we were in and out like you expect of a Chilis. I love Chilis because their bottomless chips and salsa are my FAVORITE. ZERO STARS! Chili's is my go to spot. I'm a fan of the menu and particularly the ribs as they are dependably a good product across the franchise. I even search out Chili's when I travel So of course I'm elated to patronize my hometown location (Newburgh). But, the take out service here is just bad. Whats worse is i tipped them (like always)...Idk if they are short staffed and I won't make excuses for them. Yesterday evening was the second very poor experience I've had at this particular location and the quality of the food they've served me at the take out was ATROCIOUS and borderline DISGUSTING! My food came out cold and late, past the time window I was given on the app. The full rack of ribs looked and tasted like nobody gave a damn and someone just threw cold sauce from the fridge on there at the last minute. I was reluctant to go because the service has been bad in the past but I seen that it wasn't busy at all .I ordered the Quesadilla Explosion Salad . When I grabbed my first Cheese Quesadilla it had MOLD on it ! I was so sick to my stomach and waited a long time for the server to come back to show her . I've been to this chili's before. When I first arrived I saw a couple in the corner of the bar giving the staff a hard time. The bartender Michael and the manager handled it well. The lady seemed pretty snobby. The place was packed so it took awhile to be able to order. After that the team was on top of the entire process. The Cajun chicken pasta was decent at best. Salad fries and chicken crispers were all great. I was most impressed with how they handled the guest that was rude to them. Unfortunately the wait for my desert was alittle long. Again they were super busy so I understand. The staff seemed alittle behind the whole time. This was my family's first time here at this chilis- I didn't expect much but we were pleasantly surprised. I ate here last night. I ordered a beer and the margarita chicken. The bar tender gave me the beer and placed the food order. I picked up my phone and checked a post on FB. When I put my phone down, (literally 1 minute) my food arrived. Chicken doesn't cook that fast. The food was mildly warm, and you could tell it had been sitting under a warmer. I was appalled by the service at this facility. It took about 25 minutes to even take our order, then my beef patty came out as a black bean patty. It took 30 minutes to receive the beef patty. I called the restaurant two days later, to ask for a copy of the receipt and the manager had NO interest in helping me. She said she'd pass along the info to their bookkeeper and would get back to me in 7 to 10 business days. I called 11 days later only to speak to the annoyed manager again, who told me in a huff that it was a corporation and could take a while. I was very polite over the phone. Was back on a Sunday. The waiter was super friendly, along with another waitress assisting. Everything was perfect. Service, food, temperature and cleanliness. I was surprised to see that they added a New Mexican theme to the menus. Very similar the most Mexican restaurants offering two or three toco/enchiladas. Salad was part of the deal so for $9.89 I feel I will be going to chilis when craving Mexican rather then a lot of local Mexican chains. Look forward to my next Newburgh trip. read more

Chilis in Newburgh is in a good location it is off the main drag. But parking is horrible the parking lot is too small for the amount of restaurants they have located on the lot. I have eaten here inside 2 times the first time was when it first opened and it was very good. The second time we waited about 1hr for our food and when we grabbed the waitress she checked with the kitchen and they dident have our order. We asked for a manager he took our order and they comped us our food for free. The food was good nothing special and not worth 2 hrs total. I have eaten at the carside to go 5 times and it is really nice that you can place a order online and then I can pick it up on the way back from a flight. I haven't had a bad car side to go meal here. When I have picked the food up the staff is really friendly. When I have someone else pick my food up for me they tell me the staff is friendly and accommodating. I ordered carside to go tonight and everything was fine until I got home and I was missing a burger from my order I ordered $60 worth of food. I had to call the chilis and I spoke with the manager and she was very nice and asked if I would like them to make a new burger for pick up. I laughed inside because the reason I ordered online was to pick up dinner on the way home and make dinner easy. So she took the amount off of my order she was extremely apologetic about the error. I took a picture of the receipt. Everything was ether circled or crossed off but the burger. I just thought it was funny. so the person who had the burger missed out. It is unclear to me if this location is under new management. Was there 5 months ago and seems much different. I was dining at the bar Tuesday evening. The bartender was great! There was a lot of drama going on, the manager was requested two time by different customers within a 20 minute time span and every dish that came out for patrons at the bar had something wrong with it or something missing. The worst part of it all, was when the bartender prepared a drink for and the waitress serving it reach into the fruit tray with her FINGERS to top off the drink. It seemed like there were too many fold on staff that day as well...they were either stumbling over one another or standing around (at the bar) chatting. When we arrived we were greeted nicely, and we had requested a booth away from the bar, although the other side was closing, we were still accommodated with our request. I ordered the loaded baked potato soup, and the Texas cheese fries. We both started with a bowl of their yummy garlic dill pickles. The soup was awesome, very cheesy and topped with bacon, a delight. The fries were awesome, a great mix of cheese, bacon, jalapeños etc, with a side of yummy ranch sauce for dipping. To wash it down I had the mango sweet iced tea, in which our server suggested for me...fantastic. She had the southwest burger, with a side of the southwest Mac n cheese, she loved it. She very rarely clears the plate, well, nothing let on that plate! She would recommend it to any burger lover. For desert she had a cinnamon swirl skillet, and I had some vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, both were fresh and finished this wonderful meal. I considered a 4 star for the loud kitchen, however, regardless of the type of music it was...I like mine loud too :) Last but not least, I must give a well deserved compliment to our server, Brianne. This wonderful young lady, with her cool raspy voice, was right on the money. Drinks never ran low, familiar with the items, quick with a smile. Great experience, serving staff is above average. I had the new chicken with waffle entree for lunch today in the bar area and I found it to be surprisingly delicious. I received refills without even needing to ask, and my server was prompt with our food as well as our drinks. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I waited for an hour for a burger and a salad that never came. The hostess sat us on the busy bar side with a family ... fine no biggie. The waitress asked for our drink order and we were ready to order. I know have enough evidence to judge and give it this rating. My hubby order the fajitas and it was cold, had onions after we asked for no onions (the hubby is very allergic to onions) & to top it of there only 4 strips of meat on the plate it was just a mess. I figure I give them the benefit of the doubt and go back some other time, since that was there first week open. A few months later we return the waitress we had was much nicer and polite this time, but the food was a mess again. The hubby decided to go with the fajita trio again no onions of course and when it comes back the plate full of onions he order extra meat & they barley put meat. I decided to go with the smokehouse jalapeno burger and asked it be well done because I am not a big fan of red in the middle burgers. Yuck the burger comes back and it all raw and gross. I was really upset at this time and didn't even eat my food left it there and went home. Yesterday at around 4 pm my table got chips and salsa, fried asparagus and I got the sirloin with avocado on top.
