A cook in hairnet and apron walked into the public bathroom ahead of me and had a nasty case of diarrhea. Guac was so old it was brown and crusty. Grilled chicken was pink and cold. Seating area smelled like old dishwater. Dishes were visibly not clean and smelled bad. My wife just wanted to get back on the road so I didn't fight the bill. Honestly would have walked out without paying if I was on my own. read more

Although the reviews were not the best I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately the reviews were not far off. I had the chicken and shrimp fajitas and they were were simply terrible. I will say the waiter was spot on though! The shrimp were these little bitty size pieces of shrimp, the pepper last and onions were not cooked fully, and the pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole were like like a spoonful each. I will blame that on management for letting that dish get out of the kitchen! Will not be back knowing my experience matched all the other reviews. read more

Not a great experience. At all. Charred food, slow service. Strange smells. Staff date each other, flirt rather than wait customers. Total ghetto-dining. It's tailgating at best. Rebel view: -0 read more

So a few months ago, for our first visit, this Chilis was NOT on point. We must have hit it on a bad day because we just tried it again and it rivaled other Chilis. It was good. Service was good, restaurant was clean, and we were in and out like you expect of a Chilis. I love Chilis because their bottomless chips and salsa are my FAVORITE. I am so glad that this location is good. It is by far the only one in reasonable driving distance of where we live and I truly love Chilis. read more

ZERO STARS! Chili's is my go to spot. I'm a fan of the menu and particularly the ribs as they are dependably a good product across the franchise. I even search out Chili's when I travel So of course I'm elated to patronize my hometown location (Newburgh). But, the take out service here is just bad. Whats worse is i tipped them (like always)...Idk if they are short staffed and I won't make excuses for them. Yesterday evening was the second very poor experience I've had at this particular location and the quality of the food they've served me at the take out was ATROCIOUS and borderline DISGUSTING! My food came out cold and late, past the time window I was given on the app. The full rack of ribs looked and tasted like nobody gave a damn and someone just threw cold sauce from the fridge on there at the last minute. The spoonful of "Mexican Rice" they gave me was a joke! It was stale, cold and dry. My daughter's slider was trash, served COLD AND PINK. This is pathetic and so disappointing. The only reason I didn't send it all back and leave is because we ordered from the take out location and didn't see the lack of quality til back home with an already hungry family. Went in today and was promptly seated, great! The waiter walked past me at least six times in 15 minutes and never said a word. Finally I was approached and asked what I would like to order. I stated nothing and explained to the young man that he walked by me and I was displeased with the level of attention I received. I took my business to another restaurant. read more

This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The waitress was rude and when my daughter ordered a black bean burger she rolled her eyes at her, when we finally got the food it was cold and nasty. Upon bringing this to management's attention she was just as rude and nasty. With so many other restaurants in the area to go to I would stay as far as I could from this UPDATE chili's responded asking me to contact them via phone (only 9-5 Monday-Friday) or via email to go further in depth as to the issue as of 12/8/2019 I have not heard back from them. read more

I order a chipotle bowl, no chicken/cheese, extra avocado. Vegetarian/vegan options: 1) do all sides such rice, broccoli (1.99 each) 2) get the black bean burger 3) get a regular menu item without meat 4) Get a regular menu item and swap the meat for a black bean patty. I decided to get extra avocado in place of chicken and that worked for me. So my bowl had Mexican rice, black bean and corn salsa, crispy tortilla strips, mixed greens, avocado, dressing. $9.99 Our server was very nice and understanding of our diet restrictions. read more

Went to Dinner here last night (July 4th) with the family . I was reluctant to go because the service has been bad in the past but I seen that it wasn't busy at all .I ordered the Quesadilla Explosion Salad . When I grabbed my first Cheese Quesadilla it had MOLD on it ! I was so sick to my stomach and waited a long time for the server to come back to show her . When I showed her, she said "oh no, that's part of the salad". Umm no, I know mold when I see it . Needless to say I didn't eat the salad , wasn't asked if I wanted something else and it wasn't taken off the bill . I will never go here again . read more

I've been to this chili's before. When I first arrived I saw a couple in the corner of the bar giving the staff a hard time. The bartender Michael and the manager handled it well. The lady seemed pretty snobby. The place was packed so it took awhile to be able to order. After that the team was on top of the entire process. The Cajun chicken pasta was decent at best. Salad fries and chicken crispers were all great. I was most impressed with how they handled the guest that was rude to them. Unfortunately the wait for my desert was alittle long. Again they were super busy so I understand. The staff seemed alittle behind the whole time. Maybe get more people on for Saturday nights so everyone can be on the same page and aren't making as making mistakes on orders at the bar. Still 4 stars read more

Service at the bar was great. However the bacon ranch quesadilla app did not taste fresh. Baked potato soup was good. Beers on tap seemed fresh. Entrees arrived on time and were good. Overall this chilis is consistent and good enough to come back. Staff are nice and that's half the battle. They could get 4 stars or 5 but the apps need to taste fresh. We will be back! Well we went back and they loose a star. Food is still ok but waiting 20 minutes for a Diet Coke refill just pushed me too far. We will take a real long break from this place. read more

I ate here last night. I ordered a beer and the margarita chicken. The bar tender gave me the beer and placed the food order. I picked up my phone and checked a post on FB. When I put my phone down, (literally 1 minute) my food arrived. Chicken doesn't cook that fast. The food was mildly warm, and you could tell it had been sitting under a warmer. Someone else got this plate by mistake I'm sure, and instead of tossing it they sold it to me. I left very disappointed, I will not be eating here again.... way to go Chili's! read more

Terrible service! Our waitress disappeared after taking our orders. My sister's burger was raw. We had to flag down someone to send it back. It came back chopped up but cooked. We were seated near the bar and the bartender asked if we needed help when I wanted to order burgers to go for my family at home. BIG mistake! One was mostly raw meat. No one offered the check. We ended up using the machine on the table. Never, never, never again. read more

This place has gone down hill. The food is average at best. The men's bathroom smelled like piss, had sticky floors and was absolutely disgusting. The waitress smelled like she bathed in men's cologne. I won't be back to this puke palace. And just look at all the 1 star reviews. Nobody here gives a crap. It's the same lame ass business owner response after every bad review. Just save it because this place will be out of business soon. read more

Was back on a Sunday. The waiter was super friendly, along with another waitress assisting. Everything was perfect. Service, food, temperature and cleanliness. I was surprised to see that they added a New Mexican theme to the menus. Very similar the most Mexican restaurants offering two or three toco/enchiladas. Salad was part of the deal so for $9.89 I feel I will be going to chilis when craving Mexican rather then a lot of local Mexican chains. Look forward to my next Newburgh trip. read more

Chilis in Newburgh is in a good location it is off the main drag. But parking is horrible the parking lot is too small for the amount of restaurants they have located on the lot. I have eaten here inside 2 times the first time was when it first opened and it was very good. The second time we waited about 1hr for our food and when we grabbed the waitress she checked with the kitchen and they dident have our order. We asked for a manager he took our order and they comped us our food for free. The food was good nothing special and not worth 2 hrs total. I have eaten at the carside to go 5 times and it is really nice that you can place a order online and then I can pick it up on the way back from a flight. I haven't had a bad car side to go meal here. When I have picked the food up the staff is really friendly. When I have someone else pick my food up for me they tell me the staff is friendly and accommodating. I ordered carside to go tonight and everything was fine until I got home and I was missing a burger from my order I ordered $60 worth of food. I had to call the chilis and I spoke with the manager and she was very nice and asked if I would like them to make a new burger for pick up. I laughed inside because the reason I ordered online was to pick up dinner on the way home and make dinner easy. So she took the amount off of my order she was extremely apologetic about the error. I took a picture of the receipt. Everything was ether circled or crossed off but the burger. I just thought it was funny. so the person who had the burger missed out. I would prob have the person picking up the order double check next time just to make sure. I would order the carside to go again after a long flight or something. I don't know if I would go here with my friends. Although I do know one of my friends is a regular here because he works close by. PROS: -Carside to go is easy -friendly staff CONS: -parking lot is too small - forgot to place entire order read more

When we arrived we were greeted nicely, and we had requested a booth away from the bar, although the other side was closing, we were still accommodated with our request. I ordered the loaded baked potato soup, and the Texas cheese fries. We both started with a bowl of their yummy garlic dill pickles. The soup was awesome, very cheesy and topped with bacon, a delight. The fries were awesome, a great mix of cheese, bacon, jalapeños etc, with a side of yummy ranch sauce for dipping. To wash it down I had the mango sweet iced tea, in which our server suggested for me...fantastic. She had the southwest burger, with a side of the southwest Mac n cheese, she loved it. She very rarely clears the plate, well, nothing let on that plate! She would recommend it to any burger lover. For desert she had a cinnamon swirl skillet, and I had some vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup, both were fresh and finished this wonderful meal. I considered a 4 star for the loud kitchen, however, regardless of the type of music it was...I like mine loud too :) Last but not least, I must give a well deserved compliment to our server, Brianne. This wonderful young lady, with her cool raspy voice, was right on the money. Drinks never ran low, familiar with the items, quick with a smile. Chilis will hopefully hang on to this young lady :) Walking into any chain restaurant you never know what to expect. Well, this Chilis will not disappoint, I promise. The environment, food and staff make it a great place to enjoy some time with your family! read more

You come to Chili's for great food, a good time, and they are family friendly. So with our baby in tow, we always enjoy our visits to Chili's. I loved their salads, and my husband's ribs looked very tasty. Would always be up for a visit to this good stand-by watering hole. read more

After weeks of cooking while being stuck home I decided ok tonight we are ordering out on doordash! Knew exactly what I wanted, chili's chicken crispers! Am I right? How could you go wrong, and oh my, is that the direction it went in. The meal didn't take long to get here at all, which is weird because when we received the food it was ice cold, not like room temperature but legit cold. It then turned into part of my boyfriends meal missing. And then the chicken crispers. Y'all, am I wrong but like we all know what they look and taste like , but tell me how they sent me cut up chicken covered in flour. Like willing to bet money that's what they did. And then we also ordered sides of a avocado ranch and it appeared as tho they placed part of an avocado in the container and poured ranch over it. I feel like an ass complaining while all the bad things in the world are going on but it was a decent amount of money wasted. read more

I was appalled by the service at this facility. It took about 25 minutes to even take our order, then my beef patty came out as a black bean patty. It took 30 minutes to receive the beef patty. I called the restaurant two days later, to ask for a copy of the receipt and the manager had NO interest in helping me. She said she'd pass along the info to their bookkeeper and would get back to me in 7 to 10 business days. I called 11 days later only to speak to the annoyed manager again, who told me in a huff that it was a corporation and could take a while. I was very polite over the phone. I'm kind of hurt and really disappointed, I guess, that there seemed to be no interest on any level in helping me solve any of these problems. read more

I've had many issues with this Chilis in particular in the past. However, because i enjoy a couple of the dishes served there, I've forced myself to overlook being displeased time and time again. Tonight was the icing on the cake. I will never return to this chili's location again. Food is never on time. Curbside ordering? As good as worthless, as i end up in the store every single solitary time. What the hell is the point in going through the trouble of paying online when i end up being treated as a "walk-in?" Simple things asked when customizing my order is seldom, if ever fulfilled. The corn on the cob seasoning. Extra tomato for the Cajun chicken pasta. Extra honey mustard for my son's chicken crispers. Not to mention, they forgot the two of 3 appetizers that come with the "3 for 10" option. With this pandemic going on, none of the staff operating the cash register had on any form of gloves. Mind you, they were multitasking between the register and the kitchen. Disgusting. On any day. Pandemic or not. Please explain to me the point of shutting down dine in, when the "to-go" pick up area had anywhere from 6-8 customers in there? Social distancing? Right out the window. Putting "To-Go" aside, dine in? Different ballgame. The waiters and waitresses cannot seem to get the 2 for $25 right. I cannot speak on how many times I've forgotten to order the desert that "packages" out the 2 for $25 deals. I'm always in a rush. For this reason, I've walked out countless times without my desert. When this happens, I'm paying for each item ordered individually, which in turn ends up being more expensive. I'm completely over this chili's. There's nothing no staff of management or corporate can do or say to me or give me to ever make me go back to that chili's location or any other location, for that matter. So very sad. Get it together, Chili's Newburgh. read more

It is unclear to me if this location is under new management. Was there 5 months ago and seems much different. I was dining at the bar Tuesday evening. The bartender was great! There was a lot of drama going on, the manager was requested two time by different customers within a 20 minute time span and every dish that came out for patrons at the bar had something wrong with it or something missing. The worst part of it all, was when the bartender prepared a drink for and the waitress serving it reach into the fruit tray with her FINGERS to top off the drink. It seemed like there were too many fold on staff that day as well...they were either stumbling over one another or standing around (at the bar) chatting. And, no they were not there waiting for drinks. read more

Went this evening for dinner. Hostess first told me it was a 10 mins wait. After 20 mins I asked what was happening. She explained that they didn't have enough servers and even though there were plenty of empty tables, she couldn't seat me and my guest , because they were also short of a cook and the wait will be another 30 to 40 mins before our food would arrive. Just terrible! Will never visit the place again. Needless to say we left. read more

Make sure the manager cooks your food, one of the chefs likes to add bandaids in your food.

We had the 3 for $16 and 2 for $14. The only complaint was that, they could've did a little better with the chicken it wasn't to good and Hubby didn't want to send it back because he didn't want any "special sauce" lol. I had ribs and crispy chicken tender which was really good. Our waiter "Anthony was spectacular" the drinks was delicious. read more

Unfortunately I have to give this local chili's 1 stars. I been to other chili's and this one does not compare at all. I been here twice and order 2 go once. I know have enough evidence to judge and give it this rating. Okay so The first time here was the week they first open The service was horrible our waitress got our entire order wrong and she was rude. My hubby order the fajitas and it was cold, had onions after we asked for no onions (the hubby is very allergic to onions) & to top it of there only 4 strips of meat on the plate it was just a mess. The manager came out when we returned the food and turns out we didn't have to pay for our dinner that night. I figure I give them the benefit of the doubt and go back some other time, since that was there first week open. A few months later we return the waitress we had was much nicer and polite this time, but the food was a mess again. The hubby decided to go with the fajita trio again no onions of course and when it comes back the plate full of onions he order extra meat & they barley put meat. I decided to go with the smokehouse jalapeno burger and asked it be well done because I am not a big fan of red in the middle burgers. Yuck the burger comes back and it all raw and gross. I was really upset at this time and didn't even eat my food left it there and went home. The third time was a to go order and I figure I try ordering like this and maybe the outcome would be different lol but i was wrong. I got a stake this time mashed and veggies just very classic so nothing would go wrong. when my hubby gets home with dinner my order was missing the mashed potato and veggies I figure this chili's just not worth my money anymore. I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone I know. Don't waste your time and money. Maybe take a drive & got to the chili's in poughkeepsie much better service. read more
