I haven't been to Chili's in years, and unfortunately, this experience reminded me why. I'm giving 3 stars solely because my actual waiter Ian was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. If I were rating him alone, he would have received a much higher rating. The issue occurred as my family and I were leaving. Chili's currently has a margarita promotion where certain drinks come in a souvenir cup that guests can take home. Before leaving, I specifically asked a waiter if the cup was meant to be kept, because if my memory serves me right, margarita were always in glass cups. He confirmed that it was indeed a souvenir cup. After finishing my drink, which still contained ice and my straw, my children and I left the restaurant. As I was getting into my car--parked directly in front of the entrance--a waiter I had never interacted with came running outside and said, "Someone told me you took one of our glass cups." I was confused and immediately showed him the cup. I asked, "Isn't this the souvenir cup that comes with the margarita?" Once he saw it, he apologized and acknowledged the misunderstanding. While he may have viewed it as a simple mistake, the situation was far more embarrassing and upsetting from my perspective. I am a Black woman who had just finished dining with my children, paid a $76 bill, for two triple dippers, a Kids, chicken tender, and two margarita and was leaving the restaurant. Having a waiter run outside after me in full view of everyone entering exiting, and dining the building created an appearance that I had done something wrong. In today's world, where people are quick to record situations on their phones without knowing the full story, that was extremely uncomfortable and humiliating. I went back inside and asked to speak with a manager. While the manager stated that the situation should not have happened, I didn't feel like he truly understood why I was upset. Instead, he repeatedly tried to explain the employee's reasoning and even offered me additional souvenir cups as compensation. Respectfully, the issue was never about the cup. I could have purchased every cup in the restaurant if I wanted to. The issue was being publicly approached and accused of taking something after I had just paid for my meal and was leaving with my children. The offer of more cups completely missed the point and honestly felt insulting. The waiter who approached me also stated, "It has nothing to do with race." My response was that while race may not have been his intention, he doesn't get to decide how that interaction is perceived from my perspective. Seeing a waiter run after a Black customer in the parking lot can easily create assumptions among bystanders, especially when they don't know what is actually happening. What disappointed me most was the lack of empathy and understanding from management. Instead of acknowledging the impact of the situation, they focused on explaining it away. Mistakes happen. I understand that. However, professionalism matters, and so does how customers are treated when those mistakes occur. This entire situation could have been handled differently and more discreetly. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and it's one I won't soon forget.

Grabbed a drink and apps after weathering a visit to TJ Maxx. This Chilis has been around for a long time, and the location is very convenient if we are shopping in the area. It's a typical (original) Chilis size & layout. It's clean and we usually have a good experience - but they were off today. It might have been a shift-change situation, with regard to the service, as there was minimal server presence. Empty drinks & a lack of place settings, if you get my drift. I was surprised to see the current overall Yelp rating below three stars. Even with our mediocre experience today it was at least three stars for menu prices and food delivery timing. The payment kiosk device came in handy when we needed to leave. Note - we didn't look for other servers or for a manager, since it was such a casual lunch/snack situation. They might have been all over it, had we brought it to their attention.

My quesadilla not only had a hair but it also had a plastic wrapper in it. Just absolutely disgusting, do better.

The only reason I know about See Kitchen and Bar is because Alton Brown champions them, and I am a nerd. Service here is always unmatched. I was between appetizers, either the pimento cheese or the deviled eggs: surprise! You can choose both (half of each)! While I appreciate the pimento (accompanied by country ham, apples, and arugula), the deviled eggs were much more complex, with their house smoked salon, roasted jalapeño cream, pickled onion, capers, and dill. For entrees they have schnitzel (chicken, arugula), smoked pork chop (three cheese parsnip and more), pan roasted blue cod (Brussels sprouts, cauliflower), salmon (garlic, truffle, leeks), waygu (garlic fries), duck breast (charred carrots, pistachio, celery, etc), and many more from parmesan picatta, miso glazed carrots and more. I had the steak frites. Which was fine. Medium rare steak (which is the right call here). Cheesy fries (fine). The cocktails were enjoyable. I wish I had tested their lobster menu, but I struggle to trust lobster this far south. I also had my eye on their lavender honey duck breast (charred carrots, sukkah, celery root, sour cherry port wine glaze) and they juicy looking burger (caramelized onions white cheddar, oven dried tomato, sauce). They had a sweet potato ravioli. There were so many original dishes here that I probably did myself a disservice by going with the plain steak frites.

Classy farm to table with welcoming atmosphere…read more My fav thing on the menu is the butternut squash soup. The cocktails are delicious as well. The food comes quickly and the servers know to handle large groups. Lots of appetizers to share. Good selection of desserts as well.

While she wasn't even assigned to our table, she took time out of her day to stop by and say "hi" as she remembered helping us last time we were there. Tinkerbelle even took it further by making good the one thing that wasn't perfect about our visit (remember, she wasn't even assigned to our table - that's professionalism and shows dedication to not only the job but the patrons). Our food on both days of our visit to Marietta were very good. If the southern eggs Benedict are available on their specials board, have at it! The eggs and gravy were perfect, and the cheese grits were among the best I've had. As good as the food is, the people are outstanding. As friendly as people can be, and attentive without being any disturbance. The restaurant is spotless, and the parking is expansive. I come into town around every year or two, and this is now on my list of those places I will visit on every trip.

I'd been wanting to try this place for a long time, ever since I started a list of Atlanta biscuit…read morespots. The Red Eyed Mule has been consistently recommended as a top-tier place to get a biscuit in the greater Atlanta area, so I figured I'd finally give it a go. I got the spicy chicken biscuit, along with another biscuit on the side with some cheesy scrambled eggs and a side of country sausage to build my own SEC biscuit. First of all, the biscuits are HUGE. They're the ultra-soft, buttery, pull-apart-but-not-in-a-flaky-way type biscuits, which I enjoy. The spicy fried chicken was good on its own, but nothing outstanding. The country sausage was good, too. Don't get me wrong--I liked everything I tried. That being said, I didn't find them to be anything that had a "wow" factor, so I am glad I ended up trying multiple items just in case I was underwhelmed. I overheard a local in line talking about their corned beef hash, which he said was not your typical dish straight out of a can and onto the flat top, which, for the record, I have no problem with. But man am I glad I gave it a go. The corned beef comes in large chunks of shredded pieces, clearly taken from a big corned beef brisket and then mixed in and cooked with small diced potatoes. This was my favorite dish, by far. I'd come back just for that. I also tried their cheese grits, which was better than usual at a diner style restaurant. The customer service was awesome, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere in general. Worth noting it backs up quickly. I got there at 9:02, 2 minutes after they opened, and there was already a line at the door. I'll be back with friends for a dish of corned beef hash and grits, and I'll probably get a biscuit on the side just to enjoy on its own or with butter and jam.
