Chilis is a huge TexMex chain. Just don't expect actual chili here! This is a typical spot I hit up and also their other locations. Personally, I feel the changes on the menu over the years have been more to their detriment. HOWEVER, this is one of the best places for kids bc their kids menu has soooooo many options and there are table video games for an extra fee. It gives you a chance to socialize with friends or have fun with kids. Five stars there! I do like this location so don't let the 3 stars fool you. I just wish they'd bring back the Pita Wraps (Caribbean Pita), Lettuce Wraps and their original Quesadillas. The current Quesadillas are too salty and a pre-made mix. Back in the 90s and early 2000s, they would make the Quesadillas with onions, cheese and chicken (fresh). The cook would just grab sautéed onions, mixed cheese and chicken and throw it together. They went to a "chix mix" after that where it was all prepackaged and the quality dropped. I worked at Chilis from 99-2006 and saw the changes. Unfortunately, food quality has progressively gone downwards. They also need to bring back the El Niño and Chambord 1800 Rita's. Currently, the chicken crispers/chicken pasta/chicken ranch sammie/burgers/fajitas are all still good. The Southwestern Eggrolls are a great appetizer. If they brought back the Chipotle Bacon Blue Cheese Burger, then they would be perfection. Odd to me how places change what works best. Other than that, always a solid chain to hit! read more

What a disappointing experience I had when I visited with our cheer team today. We arrived and our large party was sat fairly quickly and then quickly checked on by our server. That's where the good ends. My food was terrible. I mean terrible. No seasoning, no flavor. Ordered a steak, mashed potatoes and side salad. Left most of it sitting on the table. Then, I had a Togo order for my husband that I brought home, only for him to open (and this is probably my fault) but it was not what we ordered. Not even sure what it was to be honest. I haven't been to Chili's in years, and unfortunately, this experience reminded me why. I'm giving 3 stars solely because my actual waiter Ian was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. If I were rating him alone, he would have received a much higher rating. The issue occurred as my family and I were leaving. Chili's currently has a margarita promotion where certain drinks come in a souvenir cup that guests can take home. Before leaving, I specifically asked a waiter if the cup was meant to be kept, because if my memory serves me right, margarita were always in glass cups. He confirmed that it was indeed a souvenir cup. After finishing my drink, which still contained ice and my straw, my children and I left the restaurant. As I was getting into my car--parked directly in front of the entrance--a waiter I had never interacted with came running outside and said, "Someone told me you took one of our glass cups." I was confused and immediately showed him the cup. I asked, "Isn't this the souvenir cup that comes with the margarita?" Once he saw it, he apologized and acknowledged the misunderstanding. While he may have viewed it as a simple mistake, the situation was far more embarrassing and upsetting from my perspective. I am a Black woman who had just finished dining with my children, paid a $76 bill, for two triple dippers, a Kids, chicken tender, and two margarita and was leaving the restaurant. Having a waiter run outside after me in full view of everyone entering exiting, and dining the building created an appearance that I had done something wrong. In today's world, where people are quick to record situations on their phones without knowing the full story, that was extremely uncomfortable and humiliating. I went back inside and asked to speak with a manager. While the manager stated that the situation should not have happened, I didn't feel like he truly understood why I was upset. Instead, he repeatedly tried to explain the employee's reasoning and even offered me additional souvenir cups as compensation. Respectfully, the issue was never about the cup. I could have purchased every cup in the restaurant if I wanted to. The issue was being publicly approached and accused of taking something after I had just paid for my meal and was leaving with my children. The offer of more cups completely missed the point and honestly felt insulting. The waiter who approached me also stated, "It has nothing to do with race." My response was that while race may not have been his intention, he doesn't get to decide how that interaction is perceived from my perspective. Seeing a waiter run after a Black customer in the parking lot can easily create assumptions among bystanders, especially when they don't know what is actually happening. What disappointed me most was the lack of empathy and understanding from management. Instead of acknowledging the impact of the situation, they focused on explaining it away. Mistakes happen. I understand that. However, professionalism matters, and so does how customers are treated when those mistakes occur. This entire situation could have been handled differently and more discreetly. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and it's one I won't soon forget. read more

When we left the guy who seated us (hostess) was so quick to open the door for a WHITE lady, saying "I got it" when he had saw the WHITE LADY COMING IN , meanwhile my boyfriend was opening the door for me. Visited here after not going for years and had an enjoyable experience. Inside it has that same generic American fast casual feel that I remembered, not unique but dependable. The 3 for me was a great deal, and all the food was solid and what you'd expect from an American chain. The kitchens were backed up so our server recommended against the chicken crispers, but the burger was a good substitute. The first one they were busy and said they would credit me and they did not so had to go talk to manager and he did not know how to refund me so he just gave me a gift cards. I have been going to this chilis for such a long time since it's the closest to my house. Every time I go here it's always an amazing experience! The servers are always friendly and the overall service is fantastic!! A few days ago me and my mom went and we had an amazing server, he talked to us like we were his best friends! The restaurant is also very clean and is barely ever dirty which is an A+. And let's not forget the food, always so delicious with some exceptions of course but nothing that would make this review go down. Came here on a Friday night and they were quite busy. Food was as expected. Casual American. But what gets it 4 stars is the 3 for me deal. Literally under 15$ for a burger drink and app. You can't beat the price at a sit down restaurant. Also the server was very upfront about their business and urged us to not get certain foods if we didn't wait. We came back in another week night and the food was much faster too. But both times we got our soup within minutes of ordering. The biggest downside to me is the payment system. You pay at the table but both times our bill was wrong. The server fixed it but it took a few minutes longer because of how it's set up. Would I give this 3 stars if not for the 3 for me? Yes. Grabbed a drink and apps after weathering a visit to TJ Maxx. This Chilis has been around for a long time, and the location is very convenient if we are shopping in the area. It's a typical (original) Chilis size & layout. It's clean and we usually have a good experience - but they were off today. It might have been a shift-change situation, with regard to the service, as there was minimal server presence. Empty drinks & a lack of place settings, if you get my drift. I was surprised to see the current overall Yelp rating below three stars. Even with our mediocre experience today it was at least three stars for menu prices and food delivery timing. The payment kiosk device came in handy when we needed to leave. Note - we didn't look for other servers or for a manager, since it was such a casual lunch/snack situation. We have recently revisited this Chili's several times and I was pleasantly reminded of how good it is. We've had burgers, chicken fingers, grilled chicken salads, margarita chicken, and salmon mains. They have all been yummy. And the chips and salsa are a perfect munching snack. My wife and I usually sit in the bar area. The service is friendly and cordial. As with most establishments, some people are more friendly than others. We've not had negative experiences. The noise in the bar area is fine - the music/TVs are not too loud when we've been there. We tend to avoid busy times, so have not had an issue with waiting or boisterous crowds. For management- I would encourage more frequent cleaning of the TV screens and non-food service areas. read more

My family and I came here for dinner night. We usually enjoy a good meal from Chilis but haven't been to one in years. Let's start with the service - which is the first thing you encounter from walk-in. The service was amazing. Staff were friendly and checked on our table frequently. The food was ordered with our appetizer and time was spaced properly before they sent out our entree. Plus, the entree was fresh and hot. The food was tasty, which is probably why the place has s nice crowd. The restaurant itself is going to need some TLC. The scent was as if old mop water was used. The bathroom was not the cleanest and had no tissue in two stalls. The trash was overflowing. I would give it a 6/10. read more

With all of the challenges facing restaurants due to COVID, you can expect very long waits at Chili's these days. Corey was our server. He was working very hard to cover too many tables. He did return with drinks, but it took him quite awhile. After we had placed our food order, we waited around 25 minutes to get our food. While the wait was long, the food was good. The steak was tender, juicy and grilled perfectly. I really enjoy their bone-in wings. They appear to be larger than the wings carried at other restaurants, and the sauce is savory and flavorful. One complaint: the restaurant was very dirty. I realize they are short staffed, but maybe they could have the hostess check the restrooms prior to the dinner rush. read more

Food was good, per Chili's, but not hot and fresh due to the redhead that was at the to-go register (evening of Sunday Jan 4th at 7:45pm, Providence Square Marietta location), she was rude and not smart. As I entered the to-go door entrance I was quickly and rudely advised by the red head girl "to wait outside and we'll let you know when your food is ready". Loud, obnoxious, and repeating herself, oh and I only took 2 steps inside the door and was there for less than 3 seconds as I was looking at names on the to-go bags. So after I went outside and waited almost 10 minutes I went back in annoyed only to see her still lolly gagging at the register (very ineffective) and my food with my name on it was on the Delivery shelf (not the to-go shelf where it should've been) getting cold. Glad I knew she was a moron and that I went back inside to look at names/bags. I received no notification it was ready, thanks redhead, you "genius". I held up my bag and stared at her and all she said was an undertone "sorry". Yes you are, very "sorry". Needless to say, zero tips for them on any to-go orders from me for a long time. Pleasantly surprised on this visit. Used to visit frequently while my kids were at sports practice. Usually sit catching up on work while having a drink and snack. It got weird a few times with clientele...service was lacking...overall seemed like they weren't trying and didn't care. I stopped going as there are other options. Visited last night w my family and I saw big improvements. Hostess was great, welcoming. Manager was paying attention turning tables and getting food out helping runners. Wait staff was trying hard and appeared to be helping each other as it was pretty busy. Our specific waitress was lacking but we felt she was likely new. There was one gentleman who also floated to our table a few times and salvaged the service part of our experience. The food is the food. There are a few good items that are favorites. I feel like corporate has not nailed it with this menu...super carb overload (for example crispers now are served as a standard w fries AND Mac n cheese)...my kids are not complaining :). Keep up the training and good work and I'll start going back there more. read more

I had written off Chili's since before COVID as the food has gotten tired and the service not great. We decided to try it again for lunch as I always liked the bottomless tostada chips and my wife the soup. I still hesitated as I assumed with inflation, a sit down lunch would cost over $50 for two. We gave it a shot and were impressed all around! Still there was the soup and salad deal that came with the familiar chips. New was a pick three lunch deal with a handful of options including apps and soft drinks. I tried the old timer burger and was very impressed. It was big, beefy, cooked perfectly with fresh toppings and crispy fries. Our server was super friendly and attentive. All in all we left full and for less than $30 including tip.
