I'll be honest - I haven't been a frequent patron of Chili's. They had decent food, but there are plenty of competitive options. Fast forward to yesterday, when I met my brother and mom for lunch. I suggested Chili's because it was close, and they had the "3 for me" special. My lunch was EXCELLENT! I got the QP Burger (standard hamburger) and it was shockingly amazing! They made it to order (medium rare) - and it was juicy and flavorful. I was getting full from the all the food we got, and had to stop myself from trying to finish the burger. The fries were fresh and tasty. The fully-loaded baked potato soup was very good. All that, with a soda, for just $10.99? Yes please! I'll definitely have this near the top of my list when someone says, "hey, let's do lunch". The restaurant was pretty busy (but we could get a table), but service was fast and friendly. Soda refills were on the table before I could even ask. My only "complaint" would be to see more $10.99 options on the "3 for Me" menu. read more

Sometimes you just need a triple dipper in your life! Went on a Monday evening and it was relatively busy, but we got seated and served right away. My friend and I both acknowledge that the playlist they had going was great! Nashville hot mozz, honey chicken crispers, and the sliders. The sauces-- the avocado ranch specifically-- make all of them even better! Only four stars because they took away the ability to separate the check by item on the table kiosks, which I imagine is unlikely this specific locations's fault, but still makes it inconvenient when there with friends. My daughter frequents this place and she finally got us to go with her. We enjoyed the whole experience! The wait to be seated was short. Our server was spot-on and very friendly. They have some very tasty drinks (Resolution Breaker was my fav. Very bright, tropical drink.) They were very prompt with taking our order. And no time was wasted in getting the items to table. More time to enjoy the meal and talk with others. BTW, if you are a Rewards member, you get unlimited chips & salsa free! Starting with the appetizers: the Triple Dipper is a good way to go if you can't decide on any one. The Southwest Eggrolls are a perfect blend of crunchy, chewy, creamy, with a hint of heat. The avocado dip brightens up each bite. I'm a fan of any cheese deep-fried. The Nashville Hot Mozzarella were very good, but the sauce seemed more like a dry rub. Not bad, but not quite what I was expecting. The sliders weren't much to look at, they looked dry, but their taste was just the opposite. Juicy, with an onion topping that added lots of flavor. I really liked them. The healthier dish, but still really tasty, was the Ancho Salmon. Flaky, moist salmon with just the right amount of topping to punch up the flavor. My Ultimate Cajun Pasta was oh-so good! Lots of shrimp, chunks of chicken all atop super creamy and tasty Alfredo sauce pasta. Yes Cajun, but not too spicy. It's a real belly filler. I could've easily shared this dish (but it will be lunch tmrw.) My wife's sirloin surf & turf was great tasting. A perfect medium! A wonderful blend of seasonings, texture and flavor. I got to eat what she couldn't finish. So, first time at Chili's for quite a long time, and very pleased. The service was absolutely awful. My grandchildren were served cold mac and cheese after waiting 45 minutes. No water on the table. Had to ask for forks and knives. Silly use we didn't have any food yet. It's now been 1 hour I finally got my sliders slathered with mayonnaise which is exactly what I requested not to have. They were going to bring me more sliders but they never did get them to me. Everyone else ate their dinner. I was still waiting so we just paid our $88.00 and left. After 5 min we waived down (the white shirt manager?) who was just talking with these 3 older gentleman at the bar. Asked if we could order. She took our order but seemed like a bother. The bar tender was there but didn't acknowledge us at all either (little English). Then after we were pretty much done some random woman said she was our server and asked the bartender to give us silverware (LOL!) never was offered a refill or how the food was. The bar tender was just interested in her friends at the end of the bar (only other 3 there.) At the end had to flag down for the bill and me asked if we could split (again seemed bothered) The bar tender then came to us and vented that they should have been off an hour ago. (HA!) Absolutely terrible lunch experience. From the manager to the bartender. Went with one friend on 4/5 around 2:00 so the end of lunch service. Asked to sit at the bar which we were told was no problem. The bartender went out of her way to not help us. Didn't end up taking any of our order and kept acting like she'd be back but never once did. Once the manager realized no one took our order she scoffed at us acting like we were the problem. The entire 5-10 min before that she was happily standing behind the bar joking with some high rollers at the other end of the bar, which is where the bartender who was supposed to be helping us was standing and looked to be flirting with two dudes. The other bartender went out of her way to not help either and made a point to say "idk why the other bartender hasn't helped you guys but I should've been off an hour ago" then she proceeded to continue to help the 6 other people at the bar, enjoying herself. The lady that was supposed to bartend was finally told to cash us out, at which time she acted like it was a problem AFTER not waiting on us for the previous 45 minutes. I regret tipping .50 cents. It was an absolute joke. I worked in the service industry for 15 years and that was top 3 worst restaurant experiences in my life. Sing it: "CHILIIIII'S I WON'T BE BACKKKK" From the looks of it this place needs to either close or get new management. DO NOT ORDER HERE!!! I cannot even begin to describe the level of anger I'm feeling. In the past, having worked Chili's to-go, ice cream goes in a cup to the side of the skillet cookie. This obviously did not happen and by the looks of it, there was not much ice cream to begin with. The skillet cookie was hard as a rock and freezing cold. They didn't even bother to heat it up. Tried to call and have this fixed but they refused to answer the phone. I sat on hold for 45 minutes and now they are closed. I'm appalled. I also ordered chicken bacon ranch quesadillas. I've always been a fan of Chili's however, this past weekend we picked up food and they finally fallen victim to the portion shrinkage in the industry. It's no longer worth your money. The burgers are tiny and not huge like they used to be, the egg rolls have been made smaller. The dipping sauce bowls, cheeses for chips and salsa are significantly smaller now. The white queso has seemingly changed as well and now tastes like cheap store bought in a can. Chicken crispers are still excellent. Salad, the lettuce was not the overflowing thick and green leaves we have gotten in the past. Ice tea with flavor was not mixed which resulted in lots of syrup at the bottom. Salad was very small pieces of what seemed to be iceberg lettuce or maybe the core of romaine? Just a few examples and there are more...They have probably had cut corners to cut costs as everyone has to do, and I understand it must be very hard. But there comes a time when too many corners have been taken and people just don't want to come back. read more

I got my food delivered and it was pretty fast. I feel like Chili's has got a really good to-go system down. I ordered chips and salsa, cajun chicken pasta and a side of loaded mashed potatoes. The only thing I hadn't tried before were the loaded mashed potatoes and they were nothing special; I probably won't order them again. The cajun chicken pasta however, was absolutely delicious and you can never go wrong with chilis chips and salsa. My favorite thing about Chili's is probably the consistency. I've never ordered from this location before but it tasted exactly as if I was ordering from my local Chili's at home. My other favorite menu item is their margarita grilled chicken, and honestly my only complaint is that the two things that I normally get are always so good that I never want to try anything else on the menu! read more

I ordered carry-out tonight using their curbside takeout. I've never had an waitress bark orders at me while I was paying for my food. The woman who helped me tonight definitely had an attitude I didn't appreciate. I'm not usually dramatic about bad service because I've worked in food service before and I understand how annoying it can be. But this woman was just downright rude. On top of that, for how much we paid I feel like the portions have been cut dramatically since I've been here last. They give you like 12 French fries and the cup of soup I received was realistically a few spoonfuls. Not worth the near $60 (with tip) that I paid for. Chili's used to be so much better back in the day. They've definitely gone wayyy downhill which I would hate to say is true for most of these chain "bar and grill" type restaurants. The reason I gave Chili's three stars is because I ordered a cheeseburger and fries but the cheeseburger came with a lot of mustard. They didn't ask me if I wanted it they just put it in there. My wife had the smotherd burrito which had great flavors. Visited Chili's on a Monday night. They just rolled out a new Rewards Program THAT DAY, in which you choose between 1) one free soft drink, or 2) free chips and salsa. Hurray Free Chips & Salsa! Just like the good old days (when chips were free). We dined here hoping they still offered a Fajita Special on Mondays.....but no longer. So the two of us split the 3 meat fajitas, and were just as happy! The seasoned steak, shrimp and chicken portions were very generous, so our decision to share was a true genius move! Plenty of onions, red and green peppers, rice, black beans as well as a small array of pico, guac, sour cream, and shredded cheese. The server was happy to bring as many tortillas as we wanted. Needless to say, we were both stuffed! The new Rewards Program offers free chips or soft drink on every visit, nice! read more

Me and my friend came in on Black Friday at 5 pm. Upon walking in, the hostess who sat us...seemed...off. She was slow moving and seemed like a deer in headlights. She seemed to be on something, which I don't say jokingly or ignorantly. Once we were seated, we noticed our table tablet wasn't on, but didn't think much of it. Then after about 10 mins of no one coming to us and servers moving around us, we started to wonder why. We watched as a table was seated and greeted after us and promptly getting help before us. I got up to ask the hostess what was going on, but ended up asking a server who was in our area. She seemed extremely apologetic and promptly served us and took our orders. She even brought us chips and salsa for the wait. She was FANTASTIC and kind. I think the hostess is 100% at fault and was so out of it she sat us at an unopened table to begin with. I've been to this Chili's many times before. I would say the food usually so so and nothing significantly great. The service at this particular Chili's is usually awesome! The servers are usually very attentive and try their best to ensure customers have a great experience. The one thing food wise, that actually keeps me going back to Chili's is the Molten Lava Cake. It is a fresh warm cake with chocolate fudge, carmel on the inside, and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to give a touch of delicious, cold, and creamy goodness to the soft, rich, and warm cake. Last time I was there, Chili's had a 3 items for $10 deal. It came with a drink, either chili, soup, or salad, and an entree listed under the deal. I ordered a strawberry Hi-C, loaded potato soup, and the Cajun Pasta without the chicken. The food was as good as any other well known big chain restaurants. This is my first visit. To be true, I didn't go with much expectation. This was the closest place to where we were and the weather wasn't as good to explore. We ordered tortilla Chips with salsa and guacamole to begin with. That was actually a good one. They gave us fresh chips and the salsa which was pretty mild and the guacamole was well made as well. I ordered a mango chille tilapia which was too much on the sweet side. The topping was mango salsa with avocado (which was turning almost black). We also ordered a half rack ribs and a side of steamed broccoli (which was over steamed and mushy). The ribs were average- not out of the ordinary. Our server was very attentive and often came by the table to ask how we were doing. I am giving an extra star just for him. Food wise.. I won't come back again. I think they are much better places in Madison to try the same kinda food they serve. read more

For a long time after Covid, the service here was awful. They have stepped up with more servers. I just wish they would return some of their old menu items, Monterrey Chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy. Okay, before you write me off or send an angry mob with pitchforks to chase me off of yelp, remember this review is solely based on MY experience with the food 'I' ordered. First, I groaned at the suggestion of eating at the lower-tiered chain. Sadly their reputation proceeded them. However, my disdain quickly vanished. I ordered the Grilled Fish Tacos: 3 tacos with grilled chile-lime tilapia topped with house-made cilantro slaw, pico de gallo, sliced avocado, chopped cilantro & queso fresco wrapped. Substituted the rice and beans with a side fresco salad and quinoa and wheatberry salad. When I opened my box, I was surprised to see how fresh and colorful everything appeared. The side salad was a nice mix of baby greens. The lime vinaigrette that came with the salad was refreshingly and light. Not overly oily at all. The Quinoa and wheatberry salad arrived warm. It had delightful balance of diced red peppers and sauteed onions that dressed up super-grains, and gave it a flavorful zest. The fish tacos were amazing! They softly sat atop of what appeared to be wheat flour tortillas on a bed of fresh shredded cabbage - not coleslaw (this is very important to note, as there have been other offenders), drizzeled with pica de gallo and piled with generous slabs of ripe green avocados. The sauce was hiding underneath. Visually, this was not what I expected out of Chili's. Slapped on a colorful bold platter, and could have passed in any other established Mexican restaurant. They were so tasty! The tilapia was well seasoned and brought out the entire flavor of the tacos, complimenting the otherwise unadventurous cabbage. It tasted fresh, not a hint of fishyness at all. Another thing I love about Chili's, sure some people may associate it as junk food or think of high sodium-inducing coma, but you can customize the meal to as healthy or as unhealthy as you want it to be. For example, you can go with the Bacon Ranch Beef Quesadillas, topping at a whopping 1,800 calories with a sides of Mac and Cheese, which are an additional 490 calories. Or instead, you can choose the Fish Tacos (820 calories for all three!) with a Quinoa and wheatberry blend (a mere 130 calories), and still have enough room - calorically speaking - left for dessert, and not feel guilty about it. My wife and I hadn't been to Chili's in 5+ years so we decided to stop in as the location was convenient on that day. We went in on a Saturday night at around 7:30, we didn't have to wait but we wanted to have a beer at the bar and then get to our table. We appreciated the $22 for 2 meal (one appetizer plus an entrée each). My wife had the fajitas. I forgot to ask her if I could try it but she seemed to like it just fine. I had the Cajun pasta. I thought it was acceptable, it was loaded with salt and garlic and the pasta was slightly overdone (a bit soggy). Not fantastic but I enjoyed it for what it was. A strange negative was that it was so freakin' cold in the restaurant, the bar, everywhere. We didn't make a thing out of it but we changed spots at the bar and took a brief walk throughout the restaurant to see if it would've been worth asking to be moved, but, alas, it was exceptionally cold throughout, so I went into my car and found some extra shirts for my wife and I to put on. Other customers also went to grab coats or extra clothing while we were seated. The beer selection is solid, I was able to have my first Octoberfest of the season (Sam Adams). It was served very cold and it hit the spot. I need to say that the servers here were fantastic. We interacted with two different hostesses, two different bar tenders and our waitress. Each seemed very cheerful and happy and helpful. We really appreciated that. read more

The person who took and fulfilled my order was so friendly, nice, and professional, even as she was clearly juggling multiple tasks at once. The order came out quickly and everything was correct.
