Chili's, it really died out when Covid hit, well id say it's making a comeback. it's what I would consider a classic American sports bar. the ambiance is gonna have hit music and sports on TV. I would say for a sit-down restaurant it's going to be some subpar food, I wouldn't expect high level or anything, just average cuisine. service was pretty nice, food was instantaneous, and staff was extremely nice. again the visit wasn't bad but it wasn't spectacular, can't say off of this visit I'd recommend it to people but drinks were great and food was alright! read more

I would give 00 stars. Just ordered and picked up to go order. Learned a good lesson. Check your order! We are on day 4, traveling cross country, exhausted and 4 parts of the order were missing. Chili for the Chili and salad meal, broccoli, mashed potatoes and rice. (The 3 sides were the meal for the vegetarian!) We were greeted by a hostess or should I say host? Anyway it's a 20 to 30 minute wait. That's okay because I'm working on my patience ...... it's a virtue. So we got a seat. It's a shame that so many businesses are suffering from Covid and some won't survive this pandemic. I had the old timer hamburger plate and a cup of chicken Enchilada soup for my appetizer. The soup was very thick and didn't taste fresh. My husband had chicken wings with the bone in, dipped in mango habanero sauce, Caesar salad, and. Triple Dipper, which is chicken nuggets, chicken strips and boneless wings with what ever sauce you want and ranch/ blue cheese dressings and celery sticks. Overall the food 1 star Server ( which he mere said his name) 1 star Friendliness and knowledge of the menu. 1 star. As I m mentioned above about Covid this restaurant had only the bar area open. The whole other side of the restaurant was closed. :-( The bar area had tables open........BUT, the were full of dirty dishes and glasses. And the seats at the bar as well. The Host was running around trying to clean tables and greet people at the same time. I seen 1 bartender and Maybe 2 servers in the bar area. I guess 1 cook as well. Customer service was decent. The servers were hard of hearing but had a decent attitude and were not rude nor did they care that they messed up multiple times. The fries are super salty. The drinks were good, I came during 2 for 1 house margaritas and they were actually nice and subtle. I tried the margarita of the month, Witch's Brew, it is a 8/10 if you like sour drinks and if you like sweeter drinks they are a 2/12, but if you're looking for size and strength it's a solid 8/10. By far, the worst food and service we've experienced anywhere in the last few years. The hostess took awhile to get us seated, only to have our server take just as long to come out. After taking our drink orders, it took almost 10 mins to bring them all out. Then he went away for a few more minutes without asking if we were ready to order anything. Once the food finally came out, my wife noticed that she received the wrong meal and my burger and fries were severely over cooked. No wonder this place his a low rating. Shit service! This was an overall bad experience. We got there and sat at the fairly empty bar and waited over 18 minutes for our bartender to come out from the back. He gave decent service after that. We ordered loaded cheese fries and they were as if they had been sitting out under the heat lamp for hours. I tried to eat one and it was so hard my tooth hurt for the remainder of the night. We asked for them to be remade and they came out softer but still not much better. Also, it looked very inappropriate to see the manager bringing a bottle of rumpleminze behind the bar in a brown paper bag. We have worked in the restaurant industry for many years and understand sometimes you have to make the call to run to the store, but at least try not to let your customers know that's what you did (because it's illegal). After the rumpleminze incident the manager then sat at the bar to eat his meal. Which once again, we know you need to eat but never do you eat at the bar on shift especially next to customers. The hostess was running around looking for silverware and other servers were all standing around the service well making jokes at the bartender. The lady next to us was also frustrated because she didn't get her elotes until after she finished eating. Overall really poor experience for us, but the men at the end of the bar chanting "make America great again" and doing shots seemed to be having a good time. read more

I'll start it by saying that this was such a bad experience, my son joined yelp to leave a review. The food Appetizers: Chips and Queso Dip... we got the chips 20 minutes after sitting. The queso came out 10 minutes later. Entrees: food arrive 20 minutes after queso. Cajun Pasta... COLD and STIFF! Burger... COLD meat, warm patty. Asked for no mustard, we got plenty of mustard. How does that even happen? Ranchero Chicken Tacos... NO SHOW. Manager apologizes and says he's going to make them himself. Bring plate 10 minutes later... chicken is COLD! The Service Our drinks were refilled but other than that we had to remind our waiter over and over that we wanted ranch. If she was refilling drinks, she wasn't making eye contact and dodging us. Restaurant was half empty on a weekend. Easily my worst Chili's experience ever. A complete waste of $60. No one was happy, kids didn't eat their food because it took so long. read more

My wife and Ihave been coming to this location the last four years and have never had a bad experience. The service has been great from all the various servers we've had. The food has always been served at the proper temperatures, great taste and in amounts that most of the time we left with takeout boxes. I love chilis but.... we ordered online and then went and picked it up and upon getting back home we realized they messed up our order, left some items totally out and when I called didn't even seem to care. Just asked me if I was coming back to pick up the items that were missing. They should have at least offered a coupon or something to make up for our inconvenience. This place really is best for dining in. You're really rolling the dice otherwise. DoorDash or curbside and you might get everything you ordered as you ordered it. Last time we tried curbside, we ordered a burger, a chicken sandwich, fajitas, nachos, and the triple appetizer thing for curbside. It was almost all bad. When we got home, the burger was completely swimming in sauce and the corn was in there with it enjoying its pool day. The triple appetizer thing was missing completely, and the nachos weren't edible. They were cooked so long the cheese had turned too hard to bite. The burger patties themselves were red inside and more than half of it had to be tossed. Just way too much sauce took over the burger flavors completely, and the red was a bit worrisome. The chicken sandwich was good but the fries were cold and old, and the fajitas were okay. This is honestly the first time we've been burned by their curbside, and the manager did say he was refunding. We've been burned by DoorDashing them before, many times, so we started doing curbside unless we were going in. Now we will only go in if we really need Chili's. I still recommend this place, I do love me some Chili's chicken sandwich, just takeout at your own risk or just go in and sit down read more

We ordered our food online...food wasn't ready when he got there at noted time. Came home( by the way he's still on hold while I'm still typing) and opened our steak and fajitas for two..well it's a one person portion with no steak the chicken to be honest looked like the Carving Board chicken you buy at Kroger not browned or nothing. I hardly ever leave reviews but I felt as if it were necessary to prevent other people from having the same experience I did. I normally order their loaded baked potato soup every time I go. No matter what location I go to, it always has the same consistency. This time around when I ordered, the soup was extremely watery. I couldn't even see myself consuming it. When I went back to bring it to the managers attention she pretty much told me that it is how all locations make it and there's nothing she could do about it. Very nasty attitude. I ended up getting a "refund" if that's what writing my name and card number down consisted of. Either way, I see why they only have TWO stars. Never eating at this location again. read more

I visited this location late on a Sunday night when the Wife and Daughter couldn't wait to get home to eat. We chose Chili's specifically because of their relatively late Sunday night closing time of 11pm. It's only 10pm in Gallatin, e.g. The restaurant was abandoned and only a few drunks remained at the bar. Only bar seating was available, which was fine. Two young ladies took turns waiting on us as they closed down the restaurant. The service was good, considering it had likely already been a long day for staff. We got the white spinach queso which is always great. The girls drank water and I tried the merlot, which was very fruit, and the cabernet, which was much better. The disappointment came with the entree the girls ordered to share. The chicken fingers came in a deep-fried, tempura type batter. It was not bad, per se, it was just odd. It was a little dense, even if it had otherwise seemed appropriate. The fries were only so-so, and the broccoli was raw-not even steamed. The whole thing was kind of off, and if you're thinking, "Well, that's what you should expect on a Sunday night at 10pm", you're right. I did expect that. But I hoped for better. I'm old school and so I think if you're going to claim to remain open until 11, which, let's face it, is not really that late, even for Hendersonville, then you should be in a ready to serve posture. If you don't want to serve that late, then close earlier, and change your hours. But doing things half-assed, just because that's what works most of the time for most people in this country, is a real disappointment. The girls were polite, but didn't hide the fact they wanted us gone. They didn't even address it forthright, as you might expect, by saying, "It's 10pm and no one else is here so we're going to start shutting down the kitchen...", it was just unspoken. I tipped 20% as I always do unless service is horrible, because this is a tough job, but I wasn't thrilled. If it seems that I'm a cranky old man, well, I am 40 and I am generally disappointed by the mediocrity that is common in our culture. I want and hope for best. Tonight, I gave this restaurant one star. When we walked inside, most of the restaurant dining area was empty but the bar area as packed. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait unless we sat in the bar area. The first table we found had food crumbs and dried sticky "stuff" on all the seats. We found another table with dirty sticky seats as well. After a quick wipe down we found the menus sticky, greasy and filthy. After ordering we took turns walking through an empty dining area to wash our hands in the washroom. I ordered steak quesadillas which were loaded with grease and my wife had a chicken enchilada which had no flavor as if it were canned chicken. It was obvious that the restaurant was extremely understaffed and I knew our waiter "Tyler" was overworked. He did take the price of a sweet tea off our check because it was topped off with a completely different drink. Thanks Tyler! The credit card machine was both greasy and the screen was sticky by not being wiped down after who knows how many users. The credit card machine also did not give us our receipt cause it was either jammed or out of paper. Before leaving, I walked through the empty dining area to re-wash my hands after handling the card machine. The experience we had at this location before was not as bad as this but still borderline so we thought we'd give em another chance. We're finished with the Chili's in Hendersonville! Me and my fiancé love eating at chilis but this specific store was awful. We came in around 7:00 and asked if they could change the channel to a hockey game they said it would be no problem. After almost 30 mins they still didn't change the channel so we left it alone and agreed that they were probably just busy. When our food came out his Cajun chicken pasta was COLD. Seemed like it had been sitting out for a while and my steak was practically a brick. I'm never one to complain but we both had to send our food back. I'm a server myself so I know it's not the servers fault, but I couldn't ever serve food that looked like that just out of respect for my customer. But they definitely need better cooks. We still haven't went back to that store and choose river gates chilis instead. read more

My waitress did a great job and the food was good. I thought this review was going to be worse when we arrived. I used the NoWait App and arrived at the time prescribed. The host did not greet us when we walked in so I thought it might be a wait staff just checking his tables at the host stand. After 10 minutes, I had determined it was the host and inquired about our table as it was showing on the App as 1 party in front of us. He said the App was giving us the wrong time. I asked how long our wait would be and he said he would go clean us a table off. After we were seated about 10 minutes, our waitress showed up and did a fantastic job. I had the chicken enchiladas which was good. The restaurant had dirty tables when we walked in and the same tables were dirty when we left and food clearly on the floor around the table. The table had a kiosk which I used to pay and completed a short survey letting them know it was dirty. A manager came by and asked how was everything and before we could say anything she walked away. The To-Go is awful! No one at the stand. My order was sitting there ready and no one to dispense it to me. So it just sat there getting cold. When I asked for the manager "Chloe" she proceeded to tell me that it was my fault and that her servers don't make tips on togo orders so basically she doesn't care if I get my food or not. So unprofessional! I had GREAT service in rivergate though! Someone was at the Togo stand, ready to hand-off my hot food that was placed in a warmer. I took my grandchildren to Chili's in Hendersonville, Tn on March 18 2022. We waited inside for over 10 mins without being acknowledged. A waiter finally made eye contact and said he would be right with us. Another 10 mins and we still hadn't been seated so we left. Chili's is my grandchildren's favorite restaurant so they were very disappointed. This was the 3rd attempt at eating here with my grandchildren in the last 2 months. My daughter and I and my granddaughter went there about a month ago, we left after 15 mins of not being seated. This has become the norm at this restaurant. They are only opening the bar area tables and bar for service. Even when one of my daughters and I actually got seated about 4 months ago, it took forever to get a drink order turned in and a ridiculous amount of time to get our food which came out cold and we had to ask for it to be reheated. I realize that the Covid pandemic caused a lot of issues in restaurants and I am so great full that people are actually showing up to work at one of the hardest jobs I ever had! But if you are going to open, please have enough staff to wait on customers or close your doors until you can get it figured out! Several times we had went by only to find they were closed. We chose off peak times to go so it shouldn't be so busy and it's really not, not no one to serve you. Please get it together because we miss this place. read more

Terrible experience while dining here with regard to the quality of the food. We've eaten here before and it was good, but tonight it was across the board terrible. Not only unappetizing but there legitimately seemed to be something wrong with the chicken. We complained to our waitress and though she offered to bring my husband something else, he declined as we were with our child and it was bedtime. Got a to go order of fajitas with shrimp, they forgot the shrimp. Told the bartender and he was incredibly rude, brought out small dish of 5 shrimp. My fiancé also ordered fajitas with steak only, brought out chicken and when fixed they clearly just scooped out the chicken and added half an order of steak. Bartender then continued to talk to his drunk friends and act annoyed about fixing what should have been done right the first time. This was the third time service was terrible and combative.
