Came here for appetizers with a friend only to be left unserved after we sat down and waited for 15 minutes for someone to take our order or even welcome us. The bar wasn't full and considering it was a Monday late night I thought the servers would have a greater sense of urgency given how slow it was. It goes without saying that we ended up leaving and headed somewhere where we were served within 2 minutes of our arrival. Perhaps this is the sense of urgency Chilis servers should adopt? It's just a shame that their inadequacy merited a low scoring review, but that's what the service industry is all about, isn't it? read more

The service is okay. I find that a lot of the girls are either stuck up or their really nice. Never in between. The guys all walk around like their pretty boys who are stuck up. The food is always good. I'd rather eat in the bar, because the staff is always really nice in there. I really like their 2 for 1 deal that they have. Every time I come in here I am greeted by Benjamin (who is the best hostest I have ever encountered in this town). He is friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming even though I usually sit at the bar. Crystal is THE BEST bartender in Hemet. I eat out a lot in town, and this is the one place that the bartender (Crystal) is on it and present. Love this place and definitely will come back! read more

I feel bad for people who give 5 stars for places like Chili's. That means that they haven't consumed anything better in their sad, tasteless lives and frankly, that is tragic. Chili's is edible. Nothing more. If you're starving and Chili's is the only place to eat, then I could see eating there. Had a bad experience today here in hemet at Chili's. The bartender (Lance) was rude, childish and making faces behind my father in laws back. Wouldn't make a drink over when he asked and basically threw a tantrum and felt the need to call the manager over instead of making the drink over. Refused to make it, so we left. I have to say the three recent times I've been there the food has been; not cooked correctly there was a hair in my sisters corn on the cob. We just came in today and there was a hair in my sons macaroni and cheese.i've given this chilies the benefit of the doubt two times and this time I just felt really grossed out! I am actually really sad because chilies was my favorite restaurant in Hemet and I don't think I'll go there for a long while:( when The manager came to talk to me and he made it seem like I had put the hair in the food or something really needs a management class. But I don't want to be negative. This review is for lunch only. Decided to join a friend and though I wanted Mexican this place was convenient so met here. Sat in the bar and were waited on by a very pleasant waitress. Surprised at how reasonable the lunch menu was and got the double cheeseburger w chili starter. Food was brought out very quickly and both the chili and burger were delicious. Service was great, food was great and price was amazing. Definitely will recommend and will be going back. read more

Every time we're ordered to-go or delivery my order is wrong. That is not an understatement. Every single time it's wrong. This time I placed my usual order of ranchero chicken tacos, and like always, asked for NO Pico, NO jalapeño aioli, everything else was supposed to be on the tacos. Now previous times they've put Pico on it, or they've put the jalapeño aioli, and I've eaten it, although disappointed I didn't complain, but enough is enough! I checked the tickets, the order was ran through correctly. Maybe the cooks cant read, who knows, I received basically mini chicken quesadillas with a small amount of Pico added. So I called and spoke with the manager and let her know we were going to return the order and I asked for new tacos with the correct ingredients. My husband went back picked up the new to-go order, and... THEY DID THE SAME DAMN THING!!! I RECEIVED THREE MINI CHICKEN QUESADILLAS. How do you screw up the most simple order? I'm not asking for substitutes, or added ingredients, I'm asking for the last remaining ingredients not be placed on the tacos, and EVERY SINGLE TIME, they've screwed it up!!! So thank you Chili's, my family has already eaten and I'm just sitting here waiting for the newest to-go order to be delivered. Hopefully you get it right this time, but I doubt it. read more

So this is the second time today I've used the to go service here and let me say I was just as disappointed with their service the second time if not more so. I went in right at the time it was supposed to be ready and big surprise no one was at the to go counter (there wasn't the first time either). They have a bell you can ring for service which I used and rang twice (the first time I did multiple times before I had to go find someone to help me). The only reason someone came out was because the phone rang. The girl that comes out says she has my food ready but can't find my bill so she has to go ask someone. She comes out with someone who looks like a manager who isn't friendly at all. All he says is did you already pay? No obviously that's what the hold up is. He shows her something and then walks away. She then walks away and disappears for a few more minutes to go get my food (wait I thought it was together?). She puts it in a bag and stuff is missing. I ask about it and she says oh it is? Well I didn't take your order so I'm kind of lost. She goes and gets part of my order that's missing and there is still stuff missing. Mind you I'm on my lunch break and it's now over 10 min past the time it was supposed to be ready. At this point I just walk out...half my lunch hour is gone. I would have given 1 star but I gave 2 because at least the food was good. I'm so disappointed with the service especially since I looked in and they weren't even busy. read more

Went to our weekly dining out last night, April 21st and received horrible service. This was my 2nd run in with this same waitress who works both the bar side and I guess the dining side as well. The first experience on the Bar side, my husband and I sat at a table for about 15 minutes before the waitress came to get our order. Since happy hour had ended about 5 minutes prior to coming to get our order, the waitress told me that happy hour had ended and she could not honor happy hour price after I told her that were had been sitting at the table for a while. Well, that ruined my dining experience that night due to her talking so loud that everyone sitting near us could hear her. I spoke to the manager and he apologized. Last night, had the same loud waitress. I will be kind enough not to state her name on here but to make a long story short, the service was horrible. My ribs were dry but not having enough Bar-B-Q sauce and the 1/2 spoon rice was cold. I was supposed to receive double rice but received not even a full pot spoon of rice which was cold, not room temperature. I never received the extra Bar-B-Q sauce I requested. Irritated about the whole situation, I asked for a box and addressed the issue with the waitress which she did inform me that the place is not her establishment. Really, the personality does not match the dining side and I did not consider it bubbly. It will be a while before I consider going back and to make sure I enjoy my meal, I will make sure she never will be a waitress to serve me again. I should have notified the manager of my experience but felt bad for my hubby having to listen to my disappointment of the service which we wanted a relaxing and enjoyable dinner. It has been a few years since I have gone to a Chili's. My coworkers wanted to meet for happy hour after work a few weeks ago. We ordered a few items from the happy hour appetizer menu. I tried the blueberry pomegranate margarita...it was not on the happy hour menu...a bit too sweet for me. The appetizers were a bit too greasy for my liking. I shared a few chips and salsa with the guacamole my friend ordered. That was probably the best tasting out of everything that was ordered plus we got free refills on the chips. I did not care too much for the cheese fries or the boneless wings...they were overcooked, tough, and greasy. The service was decent, although the computerized checkout was a bit annoying...they really should go back to the old fashioned way of having the server cash out the checks. She spent more time explaining the process to us than if she had just gone to the register and brought us back our receipts. I don't mind if my coworkers want to meet after work again, but Chili's has never been a place I have chosen to dine at and this visit did not change my mind any different. read more

We waited outside sweating, as I watched numerous people walk by and look at us until it was 11:15 am and then finally left. They open at 11. Chili's was a big deal when it came to town, as we in Hemet, have about 4 real restaurants, not counting mom and pop places. Normally everything is about average. But last Tuesday we went for a friend's birthday and it was a disaster. Our server, Garret, poor thing, so sweet but terribly new. He was a little slow and stopped several times while taking orders to run back and ask the manager a question. A bunch of us got the 2 for 20 and asked for minor substitutions which he said yes to everyone, except for my order. I asked for something that was the exact price to the cent. After receiving our drinks 15 minutes later, and the chips and salsa another 10 min later, he came out to tell our friend that he couldnt have what he ordered, after most of the food was almost done. My friend said forget it and would pay full price, and when he received his steak quesadilla it was awful, like it had been slapped together. The manager that came out then proceeded to talk to my friend as if he were 5 years old, very slow, and high pitched, as though he were incapable of talking like an adult. Very sad... We used to go prob once a week and I serisouly doubt that, after the way they have changed over the years, that will be the case read more

We come to Chili's very often. We usually have a pretty good experience and our family loves the food so we always come back. Tonight, we were ready to walk out. My husband put us on the waitlist (don't even bother because it doesn't help) and when we arrived, we were told it would be 20 mins. We patiently waited, as everyone before AND after us was seated. Finally annoyed, we asked how much longer and the server told us there was only 1 table to accommodate a group larger than 5. We are a family of 6. I found that odd as there were a lot of larger groups, but at 45 mins after finally complaining, we were sat. Then entered our server Janet T. All I can say is, she saved our dining experience!!! We ordered and within 5 minutes, had apps, drinks, margaritas, and our soups! She took amazing care of us! Hopefully, you have better host that can actually let us know what's going on next time. But Janet is awesome!!! She gets 5 stars! The host get 1 so I'll give this experience a 3! read more

I went to Chili's tonight and it was the worst experience ever. I frequent this location often and always have good food. Tonight I cannot say that. I had the worst service ever. The restaurant was not busy at all. Our waiter did not know what he was doing. After our order was finally taken it took 30 minutes to get our food. I understand if it's busy but it was dead tonight. Our food finally arrived and it was awful. I did mot eat the chicken crispers. Tasted like old oil was used to cook them. My corn on the cob was soft and awful. My husband had the ribeye. Do yourself a favor and skip that item. Tough piece of meat, waste of money. Finally when it was time to pay the bill the waiter had entered the wetting table info so I couldn't pay at the table. So I couldn't give any comments about my bad experience. Highly disappointed. Won't be rushing back anytime soon. Manager just said I am sorry after we complained. I always seem to have something go wrong with me when coming to this chillis. Either you have to wait about 20 minutes for a table or your order takes more that a half hour to get to the table. This last time they had run out of cups to pour our drinks so they gave us styrofoam cups instead. They either need new management or a much more organized system. read more

I gave this Chili's 2 stars due to them changing the menu and quality of the food. Food was just ok but the service was good. For a family of 5 expect to spend over $50 even if you have kids under 10. You can tell Chili's has changed the quality of food they serve and to be honest the hamburgers aren't that good. read more

Put in a to-go order online. My husband was left standing and not being helped for 15 minutes. Instead of 2 kids drinks and 2 regular drinks we were given 3 kids drinks. Food was cold to the point of being inedible. I fed it to the dog. To-go servers need to be on top of orders knowing that food gets cold so quickly. Lazy people clearly work here. read more

my wife and I come here all the time and I felt compelled to write a review because it was so refreshing to walk in a restaurant and be greeted by someone who actually appreciates their job. To walk in a restaurant on a Friday night because you are exhausted from your work week and don't want to cook and to be welcomed with such a happy person really made my day. John is super friendly and even though the restaurant was busy and many people waiting to be seated he always had a friendly courteous demeanor. He was rushing to sit people to their table however took the time to talk as he was seating them with a smile on his face. He was even cleaning tables and situating chairs as soon as guests would leave. I think he is an asset to this restaurant. Our server Ben was very attentive and friendly as well. Unlike his manager that was roaming around the restaurant barking orders at everyone with a sourpuss look on her face that made me feel sorry for John and the other servers. She passed our table and other tables for that matter and not once cracked a smile or even acted like she was grateful to have patrons in at all, just never seen that before..... Most restaurant managers ask their patrons how service is etc. Again, I really wanted to write this review to give kudos to John who knows customer service. Thank you read more

Alot of the time you go out to eat and find yourself thinking ok this is what i expected to get when i got here and the night just goes by pretty slow and boring.When i go to chilis and this may not be true for everyone, Im not always sure there wont be something new on the menu because it changes somewhat frequently .I would like to see a few more steak and burger choices and maybe some new appetizers but overall the menu and food is pretty good i would go there more often if i could. I tried the bacon burger, it was so good. The cheese nelts in your mouth, the temperature is hot and the burger is mouth watering. It makes your stomach jump and your mouth just explodes with the nice apple wood bacon taste that smoothers your tongue with a nice smokey kind of tastes thats makes you want to go and tell the whole world. read more

Wow. i usually like chili's but i have to say i will never ever go back again. I have been going since it opened but today i wen and a server shawna was the worst i have ever had. She started by getting my daughters order wrong, then she forgets part of my order, also she was not seen at all, was hanging in the kitchen area but not taking care of her customers. We weren't the only ones with a bad service this girl seriously seemed like she didn't want to be there. anyways I left the restaurant HUNGRY since part of my order was never made.. Love coming to here except for today. The server took too long, she would get lost, never checked on us. A meal that would have taken 1 hour took 2 hours. Had nothing to do with the location, just the server if you get Erica expect to wait and get horrible service, very knowledgeable but no sense of urgency or genuine care for customers. We bought a Chili's gift card for our Granddaughter for Christmas an was given a $10.00 card for us to use. On 1/5/15 at 2:00 pm we had lunch there . The menu was mostly Mexican foods. Hemet has many very good Mexican restaurants All the foods we enjoyed in Chili's were no longer available. We ate lunch and Chili's is not one of the good Mexican restaurants, the fajitas were floating in oil, and the taste left a lot to be desired. I ordered coffee and was told they had to make it, I got it 20 minuets later. When my cup was empty I had to ask for another cup, I was told they had to make it. I got my second cup of coffee just as we finished our meal. We will not be going back, There are too many restaurants with better service and better food. read more
