Walked right in and pretty much sat right down. Was able to get orders placed went with the salad with chicken, diced up on it as well separately the chicken lime and rice dish. Was able to switch out the salad due to it being a little off, and the staff did a great job of accommodating. The chicken lime and rice dish is typically a winner. Drinks refilled at a good clip, even on a quasi busy Sunday. The two for 25 is a decent deal. I have never been to an Applebee's and this was my first one. I am also in my early 40s. We got an assortment of appetizers and entrees but there were a couple problems. First, I didnt want slaw as a side for my food because of the whole diarrhea issue going around so I asked for double fries, the server (guy) said that was fine but when the food came, sure enough, there was slaw with it. Second, I love celery but I don't know what they gave me. Sure, it was celery but did you have to give me the thinnest slices imaginable? I think they just got what was left over and was too lazy to open another bag or whatever and I got what I got. Third, I ordered those burgers that were cheese heavy but when it came to us, it wasn't hot or cold, just room temperature with cheese that already looks like it was hardening. Like the menu advertises it as sizzlin' but it was anything but that. Ambiance was fine, seems family friendly-ish. I say ish because the first thing on the menu and displayed everywhere on the table is alcoholic beverages. Server never came around and asked how we were doing or asking us if we wanted water or even anything. The call server button they had didn't even work when I had questions about how to pay and I had to sit there for like 5 minutes trying to flag someone down. Overall, my first and only time I'll ever go to an Applebee's. Not sure what all the hype was about. Could have probably went to some local place instead and gotten better everything. read more

We went for lunch today for the Specials. I chose the Chicken wrap with fries My guest had the all you can eat meal. The chicken wrap tasted great. Inside was lettuce, onion, and other crunchy food items; I opened one side of the wrap and it seemed like there was little chicken chunks inside. Our Waitress was kind enough to bring two types of dressings, as I cannot eat spicy seasoning. I mixed the two while eating the first half of the wrap, but the second piece tasted a little spicy. Let me say that I have been horrible with taking pics lately. Largely because I am usually so hungry that I forget, SORRY! Now on to the good stuff. The Bourbon chicken and shrimp is so good!!! The Four cheese Mac with honey pepper chicken tenders, also good!! The classic cheeseburger was also good. We have nothing to complain about at all!! The best review is for our server Jayden. If I could give this establishment a zero, I would. I recently visited this restaurant with my family, and we had the worst time ever. We did the all you can eat special, and it took at least 45 minutes to receive our first round of food. It took another hour and a half just for a second and third round. I'm not going to blame our waitress because I know damn well it's management's fault. Our waitress was trying her best. So the moral of the story is, do not come here unless you're white. read more

This restaurant needs help. I've been to other Applebees and this one is by far subpar to the rest. Staff wise, drink wise and food wise.

I ordered a steak to go, wanted it medium well. Usually is good & the cut is uniform. I guess they considered me a repeat customer, so they gave me a gristled steak instead. Then burned it so bad I was going to throw it out.. Decided to give it cut up & give it to the dog. He would not eat it either . Be sure to check your food before you pay at the Hemet location. Absolutely terrible service and completely dishonest. Has no integrity in doing what they promised to do. Order is completely wrong and food of course is cold to the touch. Allergic to tomatoes and received them in my salad, requested ranch dressing but received honey mustard and received all stems in my salad. If I was petty I'd go straight for a lawsuit especially after placing a phone call to assure the order would be correct. They can't read and follow simple instructions. Tonight we sat in the bar area and it was really busy for a holiday weekend. Marty was behind the bar and was super busy but managed to get everyone's orders going and greet us all as we sat. Our food came out great (new Parmesan chicken pasta and the classic grilled sandwich). Marty didn't miss a beat as the bar got busier and busier! The managers were visible and helping too. We went here after a tournament in February with a group about 12 people, and we had a toddler with us . It was not busy for us Saturday night. We all ordered our drinks and food. Mind you were the first ones to order in our group. Everybody's food came out except mine and my boyfriends , mind you we have a two-year-old toddler . Waitress basically would just walk by and ask everybody else how their food is as we waited for our food. Finally, our food came out, but by that time the rest of our party was ready to pay and leave, and our toddler was so over sitting down. Manager came out and was very apologetic and comped a lot of our food from our bill which brought it down to $29. Our bill included three drinks, three meals and a kids meal as we paid for my sister-in-law. We gave our $50 gift card that we had and when our waitress came back, she said we still owed a balance because the manager messed up and apparently we're still owed about $30 on our bill.. I asked to speak to the manager, but she said that the manager was busy and at that point our toddler was so over it and so are we so we left. What a mess of an experience we just had! We arrived and the bar was packed so we asked to be seated in the dining room. The response was attitude and frustration at our request. After we sat, we watched two servers get into a loud argument WITH THE MANAGER PRESENT and he just let it happen. It was super unprofessional. When we needed a few more minutes to decide what to order, our server scoffed and told us to just raise our hands to get her attention when we were ready. When we tried to get her attention, she first ignored us and then put her finger up and told us to give her a minute. Needless to say, we won't be back. APPLEBEES: A.K.A "The Drinking Spot" Went to Applebees and the food is still subpar and tastes very bland/reheated. The fries are good but I wish my main meal was just as good. If you're looking for a place that is a relaxed bar spot for you and your friends then come on down and have an appetizer (I recommend the mozzarella sticks!). Otherwise, if you want a good lunch or dinner at a sit-down find another restaurant. Overall, I enjoyed my time here as the staff are quite friendly and professional. I'm very upset, this is my Applebees we have been going to for over 25 years! I doubt we will be going back anytime soon! I always order my perfect margarita first off but we were ready to order by time they came around. Anyhow my margarita was not good at all plus since when does a margarita come with a cherry lol. I ate the cherry but just then then the manager came by to greet us my husband complained about my margarita and he was nice enough to offer to make another for me, that was awesome! Came back with a perfect margarita, I was happy later when he came by after we got our food he ask how everything was we were happy but I asked since you are here would you mind if I could order up another of the good perfect margaritas from you he sure. Well he didn't bring it this time, and as soon as the guy poured it I knew it was that same gross one I first had. How incompetent can the bartender be. I'm sorry but he was able to make the perfect margarita for the manager while he waited and brought it to me, but couldn't make it the right way after that! Yes I get it people make margaritas differently but NO, YOU CANT CHANGE THE PERFECT MARGARITA AT APPLEBEES! It's been the same for so many years and now it's ok! Well fine that's not ok by us! We were greeted in a friendly manner. The appetizer we had was super delicious. The entree we chose was so amazingly good with generous proportions with enough to take home for another meal. Everytime we eat at Applebees I swear I will NEVER eat there again. I always send my food back. My husband and I order the same thing, his is good and mine is awful, it even looks awful compared to his. Usually it's the steak. His is perfect, mine is smaller and tuff. So it's been a year or more since we ate there and we decided to try the appetizer plate, a pick up order. Food looked good, onion rings, shrimp, were so so, boneless wings were so salty we couldn't eat them. I called to give them a heads up that the batter was too salty, and the woman that answered the phone told me they come that way all they do is fry them, and it's either the batter or the buffalo sauce. Fine ... so fix it!!!!! Not one once of apology ...another reason never to go back. I highly recommend Chilis, or Red Robin, I've never been dissatisfied with either. read more

Went for lunch today, Aug 16th at noon. We were seated right away and we were served by Celeste. She was personable and had a quick wit about her! She took my jesting with her in good humour. We ordered a cheeseburger med. rare and a southwest salad. The food was very good with two exceptions, burger was served smashed and well done. The meat however was tasty with a nice garnish of pickles , red onion etc. I asked for thousand island as the burger comes dry. They don't have 100 island I was told. I had mayo and salsa on the side, and the fries were good! The southwest salad was tasty but WAY too much rice. Would have been nice to have more greens and less rice. Was so so disappointed with our dinner Sunday night at Applebees in Hemet. We order the 2 for $25. First they bought water for us which one of the glasses had food floating in glass!
