Went here today for veterans day, not sure what our servers name was but the receipt said Paige. Waited like 10 minutes to get greeted by her ordered drinks and food at the same time , someone else dropped off the drinks. 2 totally opposite of what we ordered. Didn't ask my mom what she wanted so she asked the other girl to bring her one. The food was great though, food runners were fast and brought us what we needed. No one ever offered us refills though.After we finished eating we waited about 15 minutes for a box and no one noticed us till the manager came up and asked if we needed help. read more

My lovely wife and i along with our sweet daughter in- law android our wonderful son all went to Chili's in Roseville California. The staff was polite and catered to our needs, their service was outstanding. My wife ordered a grilled chicken salad that was delicious, i ordered the salmon with rice and steamed broccoli that was fantastic. My son ordered the margarita chicken that was very delicious, our daughter in- law ordered roasted chicken salad more than delicious. It was a wonderful family outing thanks to the friendly staff, we'll definitely be back again soon. read more

*singing* I want my baby back, baby back, baby back... Out of all the big American style neighborhood restaurants (Applebees, TGIF, Sizzler, Ruby Tuesday, etc.), well most that I have been to anyway, Chili's is probably the one I can tolerate most. Although that could be changing soon. Here's why... Chili's is in the process of evolving their order placement system from a personal human service (wait staff) to an automated table kiosk where you can place your own order without much need of human intervention. Applebee's is playing with this system as well, but their food sucks (DO'OH!) so we won't go that deep. Moving along... The reason that I have a problem with this is that these kiosks are job-killers. These systems may not have an immediate, profound, impact toward jobs in their company, but ultimately they will. The system is designed for efficiency and the ability to terminate existing positions which will in-turn improve the corporate Bottom Line. But who am I to stand boldly on this train track, with my arms in the air, as the Technology train comes barreling my way, hauling a hell of a lot of inevitable "change" behind it? I am one man. One man who can change little, but avoid this train track altogether. It's frustrating to see this kind of change, and yet most will see it as convenience. Which, in fact, is. Now that I have carried on much longer than I should have. This Chili's was clean inside, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Our waitress even smiled as she introduced us to the self-ordering system at the table as she provided instructions on how to use it (okay I am over it. I promise! Ha!). I usually have ribs when I come to Chili's because frankly, I am impressed with how well they turn out. On this date, however, I opted to do their latest promo which was Top Shelf Tacos. You can mix and match which types of tacos you get, so that was cool. I ordered a couple of spicy shrimp and one tilapia. They were alright, nothing amazing but definitely "hit the spot!" If you're expecting spicy from the spicy shrimp tacos, you're going get mild; just a heads up. The rice and beans that flanked them were pretty ordinary. I will stick to ribs next time. My brothers and my father enjoyed their meals very much, and overall we had a great experience together. Three stars, our waitress deserves five. She was efficient and had a great sense of humor. There is plenty of private parking because this chili's is located in a shopping complex. I will probably be back again because it is a good option when you are hungry but don't know exactly what you want. Until customers are forced to use the Chili's help-yourself system anyway... Ha! It's Chili's - what's there to say, really? It's decent (not great food) at a middle of the road chain restaurant. Although there's nothing special about this particular Chili's, it's my standby restaurant when there's no food in the house and I don't want to spend a lot of money on dinner or drive very far from home. The food is predictable, the service is OK, and they'll always seat me in a booth far from the kitchen/bathrooms/high traffic areas when I ask. My favorite thing about Chili's - call ahead seating! No long waits to be seated! Just call and give your name when you're leaving home, and you'll be one of the next parties seated after you arrive. It definitely makes putting up with the mediocre food and service worthwhile! read more

I don't know what has happened to Chili's, don't know if it is this Chili's or all Chili's. Have been to this restaurant many times over the last 15 years and always had the mind set of "nothing fantastic, but good and decent food and always consistent". It was kind of late for us (08:30 or so) a week ago and had the kids home for a visit and it was too hot to cook...so we decided on Chili's. I like a friendly waiter as much as anyone, but our waiter was WAY over the top...stood at the table and chatted for 10 minutes like we were his new best friends..talking about video games and movies...um, can I have my iced tea please!! We actually got to the point of not talking, just waving that the food was okay (which it wasn't) There were four of us and since it was late we decided to just share the appetizer sampler plate and fajitas and chips/salsa. The chips and salsa were very, very greasy, as if the chips were soaked in cold grease too long. Not crunchy and light as they used to be. They were shiny with grease and soft...okay, pass on those. Nothing on the appetizer plate was hot and none of it seemed freshly prepared. The fajitas came (don't remember the price but close to $20 for a combo of steak, chicken and shrimp) and there was about 6 cubes of steak about an inch square that were too tough to bite through and maybe 8 small shrimp and half a dozen small strips of chicken (maybe half a breast worth). The "condiment" plate had a few shot glass size metal cups with a tablespoon each of shredded cheese, pico de gallo, salsa, etc. about enough for ONE fajita. Too bad, our "decent and consistent" go to dinner spot has gone to the birds, time to find a new spot. We won't be back. read more

I, for the most part, think Chili's is an ok chain. This one always has issues. No matter what day we go, I always have the same question...... How hard is it to serve freaking HOT mashed potatoes? I have sent them back a couple of times, other times dealt with it. After other discrepancies (over salted corn on the cob, my friend paying $7 for a nacho appetizer that literally had 10 big chips in a design decorating the plate....hardly worth $7, and lackluster food), my friends who always convince me to go to this location decided that we have all had enough. Super value. I ordered off the value lunch menu. I ordered the shrimp tacos. My server was cool and everything came out quick. The salad was tiny but when you add in the main, tacos and chips it filled me up. The tacos were spicy and full of shrimp. I liked the chips and salsa. I came here yesterday with a friend. I got a bacon cheeseburger + avacado, and she got some kind of turkey bacon sandwich on SUPER THICK bread. My burger was fine ( cooked medium like I asked ). Her turkey was so cold, it was almost frozen, and the bread was as thick as Texas Toast, but wheat. Very disappointed. My first issue arose when my mother opened her napkin to find a fork with rice stuck in the prongs, she asked the waiter for a new one he took it and informed her there was two forks in the napkin and left, she never received a replacement fork. The next issue was when we finally received our burgers the meat patties were very very dry, the lettuce and onion were inside the burgers even though we requested them to be removed and the sauce (normally on the burger) was served to us on the side as he had entered the entire order incorrectly into the computer (he had informed). The only thing enjoyable about this meal was our aps on fried asparagus we all wish we had just done aps for dinner rather than digest those disgusting burgers. read more

Finally convince my dad to go back to chili's with me since the last few times we went we had issues. When they get it right its awesome. everything was great except the waitress said she didn't know I wanted the 3 for $10 meal and everything was priced separately. My Dad insisted on paying for the meal AND because I didn't see a break down on the computer screen the bill was higher than I thought it should have been,so, I asked for a receipt and that's when I saw the mistake. The manager got involved and said he would cancel the mistake and issue us a new bill with the correct total. I had asked if I could just get $15 in gift cards(it was a little less of a mistake) instead of doing a cancellation The manager insisted it wasn't going to be a problem and said it was all taken care of.. My family has been to this Chili's many times. Tonight my mil invited us out for dinner. We arrived around 6:40 pm. It was pretty busy, so we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Not bad. Maybe they were a little understaffed tonight because receiving our food took longer than expected. Our server was very kind and repeatedly apologized for that. The manager also came out and apologized. He also gave us free chips and dip which was nice of him. Our food was just fine, no skimping. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We received a discount because of the wait, which we appreciated. We left a big tip because our server did his best and kept us as happy as he could. read more

I started off by going to the restroom where I watched a server pretend to lather up her arms with soap all the way to her elbows . There was no soap in the dispenser as I politely told the manager . I asked the manager to please make her wash her hands with soap. Instead of doing that she first ran and got me hand sanitizer that I asked for because neither of the soap dispensers worked the batterie were dead and there was no soap in the one her server pretended to use. I used the hand sanitizer though before returning to my table completely grossed out where I learned she was to be our server and I was not happy at all! My friend still wanted to eat here so he ordered and so did I. The food arrived and I could barely eat as I was completely grossed out and I made a comment to my friend loudly so she would know I wanted a new server. She ignored it and the manager neglected to check on us. Before we left I let the manager know how upset I was and she lied to my face saying she made the server wash her hands immediately after I already watched her walk past her to get the sanitizer earlier! She simply apologized for it happening and that was it! I will never go here again and I will let everyone know how awful it was. Neither of us enjoyed our time here as I complained the entire time and was nauseous wanting to vomit. I tried my best to have a good time but it was ruined. So let me start by saying I used to come to chili's so often most of the older waiters know me as soon as I come in. With that being said this place has gone down hill. They were amazing, but now they almost to busy to be able to handle it. There is not enough workers and no caring if their food come out cold or not prepared properly. I order burger bites that naturally come with read sautéed onions. Mine were literally not even fresh cut, just cut and throw on the plate with the bun and pattie. Mind you I order all my food together because I try to be as helpful and prepared as I have worked in the food industry. But I also ordered my spinach and cheese dip with chips that took a while to get out but I didn't care about that. I more so cared about the fact I got chips with a little spinach and cheese dip. Very good service. I had a gift card for Chilis so my boyfriend and I decided to eat here for lunch after our visit with my Grandma. I ate the Ultimate Bacon Cheesburger meal and he had the Margarita salad. Everything was very good. The only minor issue is that the side of avocado was not delivered with his salad, but it was resolved in a very prompt manner. Their beer prices are reasonable too. I got a huge glass of Sidecar for $6.45 which is more budget friendly than some of the other places that serve hand crafted beers. We come to Chilis maybe 2 times a month. The food is an expected average quality, but better than fast food. Service is usually pretty good to the occasional excellent. The coupons they send us work pretty well as I'm off work the same days the coupons are valid for. The latest which the wifey and I have taken advantage of is the 'free app or dessert'. It works great, we order the required entree and get a free nachos... We've used it this way several times with no troubles, except the last time. The manager explained that we needed to order 2 entrees for 2 people, whereas the coupon clearly states 'one adult entree purchase required'. Just didn't appreciate the attitude she gave us. Then, on top of everything, the top of the receipt where there is usually the survey to fill out was totally torn off! Sad when someone knows you're gonna blast them so they try to take away your opportunity. Still good servers and good atmosphere. read more

Have been here probably 4 or 5 times in the last two months for dinner and have been very pleased. Each time we have ordered off the 2 for $20 menu (two entrees and an appetizer) great deal and the food is a great value. Always start with the chips and guacamole (salsa included as well) the chips - great. salsa-great. guac-great. refills are included as well. All but once I have ordered the Margarita grilled chicken (two small chicken breasts, topped with pico on top of a full plate of rice and black beans. It is excellent! Service could be better but is by no means bad. Servers typically have a higher number of tables as is common for casual low ticket restaurants, so it may take them a minute but they always provide drinks and table service in a timely manner. Overall, great option if you want good food at an affordable price. read more

Chilis used to be my favorite restaurant. Not sure what happened but last few times I have came to this location, I left unsatisfied. Yesterday, I ordered online Carside to go and was waiting outside for 10 minutes before i decided to give them a call and let them know I was outside, so she puts me on hold for another 5 minutes. At this point, I go inside just to wait at the counter for another 5 minutes as the associates just looked at me from the kitchen area and no one said anything. So I ended up leaving, upset and hungry. I thought the point of carside was that I didnt have to get put the car. I'm not one to leave a negative review but in this case, the service is completely terrible and unacceptable. Never going to this Chilis again. read more

Just had an excellent customer service experience with this location. V-Day can be a crazy one with the amount of people out, so we called ahead to make sure we didn't have to wait too long. When we got there, there was no record of this however, but they assured us we would be seated soon (mind you it was a 30min+ wait time). Expecting to wait the normal time, we went outside to wait in the car. Not 5mins later, a text comes in saying our table is ready! As they seat us, they apologize again for the issue with the call ahead. After that, we also had a great server named Eric. He has a great personality to match his serving abilities. No problems with the food, we got the extras we asked for, etc. He also wasn't on autopilot mode as some servers are, he was very personable toward out table which it greatly appreciated. Finally, we got the manager over to commend the workers of that night. He was a fantastic manager, and took the compliments well, and made sure to tell us he would tell the crew about our comments. Bizarro world. So I order a beer, Stella. Waitress asked do you want 16 oz or 22 oz. I ask for 22 oz. They bring beer, it's in a very nice Stella glass that's clearly marked on the side of the glass "40cl" which equals around 13 oz. We check the table computer bill thing and it shows they charged for large beer ($6.95). We ask the waitress why we are being charged for large beer when it's obviously a small beer. She mumbles something abound Stella is fancy so it's different. Then the manager comes out and instead of acknowledging the mistake, she starts a confrontation and makes a bunch of asinine volume statements to try and convince us that 13=22. It was pretty obvious that she was a D- math student. In the end we were only charged for a small beer, but the experience with the manager will cause me to avoid this place. read more

Tried to conduct a lunch meeting here, but our guest speaker had difficulty being heard over the piped in music. In fact, the individuals sitting underneath the wall-mounted speakers actually had to get out of their chairs and walk over in order to hear him. Even though our separate room had its own speaker, and the volume could be turned down, management refused to do so, claiming "corporate" wouldn't allow it. Went here last night and it was a TERRIBLE experience!!! It was about 8pm and there weren't many people there but it took us over an hour to get our food and they forgot our appetizers and one of the people in the group (there were 3 adults) didn't receive her meal for over an hour and a half!!!! We were all done and then only did she receive her meal!! For some reason we had 4 different servers which got the orders all wrong and nobody knew what we ordered cause everytime someone came up to us it was a different server!! It was also my birthday and we let them know but I guess they thought we were joking and instead of confirming whether or not it actually was my birthday they just disregarded it completely!
