I didn't think 3 tacos were going to be so filling, but they were! I had three fish tacos with a side of breaded peppers. The fish tacos tasted good enough that I didn't need taco sauce. It was fine with just the lemon and the fish was mild. The breaded pepper poppers are really good. I think they are filled with cream cheese. I had to wait a few hours before I could eat them. The main course was so filling. You can tell that this is a family oriented place. As I waited for my food, I looked on the wall and saw all the photos of the family posing for a post soccer game photo. That's nice. And the man that served me was really catering. We were staying at the Best Western for the weekend, since my fiancé had some work to do in Sac area, and we were looking for a bite that was walking distance. Initially we had hesitated because the reviews weren't the best but we decided to try it. Our experience was very pleasant and we were surprised at how good the food was and their drinks! The moment we walked in we were greeted and sat right away. They took our orders and brought us chips and salsa. Surprised the salsa was actually good and it at a kick to it. That's always a plus because we're used to spicy salsa. My fiancé had the taquitos dorados and he ate everything in his place! He's very picky about his food, but since the first bite he said it was delicious! I had the nachos with carne asada, because I wanted something lighter, which ended up being the same as a man entree but thy were really good! The meat had a good flavor and texture. And nothing tasted old or stale. The ingredients were all fresh. I normally don't drink margaritas because tequila and I don't really get along but this blackberry margarita looked so good in the picture, I decided to give it a shot. Oh my! I'd never had a margarita this god before!! It was perfect, I finished it all. Something I always have trouble with. Not this time though Overall we enjoyed the food and drinks. And the staff were very friendly and the server checked on us frequently, which is always a plus. We were surprised that this place didn't have more people on a Saturday night, but I suppose it's because of the location. It's in a business area and there are mainly hotels and a few restaurants. This was my second time at Casa Ramos (Rancho Cordova). The thing I absolutely love about this restaurant more than anything is the customer service. I wasn't impressed the first time with the food but, I went back because my play dad loves this place. The second time I ordered fajitas and they were really good. I enjoyed them much more than the quesadilla I ordered the first time. My sister ordered this dish photographed in the picture. She said the Roseville location makes it MUCH MUCH better. We will definitely go back because dad is getting up there in age and this place makes him happy and like I said the staff is wonderful. Oh and so are the margaritas! read more

NO STARS. Ambiance: Typical Mexican decor. Service: There was one male who took my order and dropped it off. That is it. There was a female (who I think was in training). She seated me, brought me chips and drink. She ask if I needed anything. She was attentive. I actually wrote of the receipt that she should get the tip and NOT the guy. Food: I broke one of my rules. If you don't see anyone from the culture of the restaurant eating at the restaurant then Don't Eat there. By far the worst Mexican Restaurant I have ever experienced. Worse than Taco Bell. I ordered a Pollo Fundido. It was to have seasoned chicken inside a crispy flour tortilla. Topped with Cream Cheese and Cheddar Cheese. It was soft, the chicken was not seasoned at all; not even with pepper and salt. And they didn't put Cream Cheese on it. And they actually used Kraft American (not real cheese) on it. Saw some recent reviews trashing the place, so here's our take: Saturday afternoon, around 2, so in between lunch and dinner. Not busy, quiet atmosphere, friendly service. We had veggie fajitas which were excellent. Being vegan, we asked to sub out extra veggies in place of cheese and sour cream; we got some veggies and a ton of grilled onions lol...so, we asked for a do-over and wow, did they deliver. It definitely has a festive Mexican restaurant vibe with warm paneled walls, vaulted wood-beemed ceiling, colorful red, green, and yellow flags draped about, a decorative stuffed parrot sitting on a perch hanging from the ceiling, colorful floral wood carvings, potted plants here and there, and a pinada hanging from the ceiling. Spacious booth-style and movable seat-style tables fill the dining area, and there is a classic margarita bar in one corner and on the far side of the restaurant with high top tables and big screen TVs showing soccer games. We arrived around 1:30 for a late lunch. There was only one other group there that were already finishing their meal. We were greeted by a friendly host that sat us at a table and got us menus, water, and chips and salsa. We decided to split the lunch steak fajita (which is smaller - and less expensive - than the dinner version, but perfect for my wife and I who are not big eaters). We almost ordered a margarita, but I knew I'd be drinking later in the evening at another event, so we just got waters. The fajitas came out with the steak sizzling. It was very well seasoned and tasted great on corn and flour tortillas with all the fixings - rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. The food was okay. We ordered chile Colorado and chili Verde. Have had both from numerous Mexican spots and this one was okay. The Colorado one was missing flavor. The verde was okay as well. Our flour tortillas came out super hot. The rice was salty & refried beans were ok. The service could be better. They didn't refill our water till after a while and when they did my water had something in it. They offer chips and salsas for free but our chips had hair in it which was very disappointing to see. It was at the bottom of the chips. The place was very cute and had some nice decor. Light Mexican music playing. I always drive by this restaurant and said one day I'll order lunch or dinner here . Now I'm regretting not trying them out sooner. I came here on work lunch with my team. Party of 10. We had called in prior for seating so they had table seating pre arranged for us. Was nice they were able to accommodate us. Waiters came with water and took drink orders quickly, and shortly after took our food orders. I loved that they had lunch specials. A lot of the plates seemed like it would be way too much for a lunch portion. Plates seemed loaded. My lunch deal itself was too much. I had to pack half to go. Fresh chips and salsa for dinning in. Chips were fresh and warm and salsa was just as fresh. I like Mexican restaurants that offer chips and salsa while you wait. My chimichanga was good. Just crunchy enough on the outside and wet and cheesy on the inside. I love that guacamole came with my dish. The refried beans were perfect tasted good. I normally would opt that out too. Rice was fluffy and soft. I started to dip my beans with the chips. My whole team was satisfied with their orders and had said they need to come back to try other dishes. We had a vegan eater and they were nice and accommodated her restrictions and assured they got her the best options. Portion sizes are pretty big. read more

The wait staff didn't take our drink orders the entire night, we had to ask them. They charge extra for chips and salsa. Our party waited 45 mins for food and food came out at 15 minute intervals. By the time I got my food, everyone was done eating because it was served 40 minutes later. My order was incorrect and terrible quality and the wait staff claimed they would take it off the bill but instead they charged me for a different entree of the same value. This place was a big disappointment. I had the fish taco plate which was a big let down. First off the tortillas were cold and store bought. Fish lacked flavor, even just some salt would have helped, but my big problem was the fact that there was hardly any fish. Barely enough fish for 1 taco but with cold tortillas I just ate it with a fork. My wife had the veggie fajitas and said it all lacked any flavor. Definitely would NOT recommend. I would not recommend this place, especially if you are a person of taste who appreciates authentic Mexican food. We placed a pickup order for enchiladas that, according to the menu, should come with two enchiladas, rice, and beans. However, when we got home, there was only one enchilada included. I also specifically requested pinto beans, but what we received looked very unappetizing. Additionally, one of the burritos had the wrong toppings and was completely cold. When we called the restaurant to address these issues, the person we spoke with repeatedly hung up on us and insisted that we had only ordered one enchilada. This made no sense, considering the menu clearly states the dish includes two. I asked why they would not clarify the order if there was any confusion instead of assuming. When I brought up that the food was cold, they claimed it was made right away. However, we were told the order would take 10-15 minutes, and I arrived after about 20 minutes. It is hard to believe the food would become that cold in such a short time. Overall, the service was unprofessional, the order was incorrect, and the food quality was disappointing. As many have stated if you want authentic Mexican food don't come here. I ordered a macho burrito and asked for grilled chicken. When the plate arrived it was shredded chicken. And looked as if someone chopped a whole head of lettuce and threw it on top of the burrito. Burrito included rice refried beans tomatoes and a dollop of sour cream. I'm a little odd and like a good amount of sour cream to dip in that came with a 3.99 price tag just for a scoop extra of sour cream. I asked them to remove the sour cream charge because it was not stated that there was a charge for sour cream. The waiter said she'll handle it and never returned to the table after waiting for 10 minutes. As well as the balding skinny guy seemed he didn't want to work their and was extremely rude and pushy. I didn't bother paying the full tab including gratuity. Never once have I done such an action but I absolutely didn't feel satisfied paying 63$ for the burrito and Molcajete plate my girlfriend ordered. Which wasn't near authentic either. Again if you want authentic food DONT COME HERE!!! Only nice thing I can say about this place is that the inside looks real put together everything else sucked. I would go here for the food, which was authentic and savory. The service was slow and inattentive, and had to be reminded on the drink order. The drink tasted like nail polish. My friend and I decided on a late lunch at Casa Ramos around 2:30 pm on a Saturday. Upon arrival, there was only one person at a booth, other than that, it was kinda dead, and the host seemed to be missing for a while. Eventually, the host seated us, who was also our waitress, and took our drink orders, and brought chips and salsa. The margarita that my friend had was generously sized, and the food arrived promptly. My Steak Fajitas were fresh and sizzling, accompanied by refried beans and rice. While portions were decent, the steak lacked a bit of flavor. The salsa with the chips was enjoyable. They had a lot of options to choose from on the menu and I light weight wished I got something else. Don't get me wrong my dish wasn't bad but I also didn't think it was hella good but I still finished it because I was hungry. Overall, it was an okay experience; the food was mediocre and service was satisfactory, the restaurant was clean and chill, parking was easy, but pricing was slightly higher than expected. Paid $77 and some change (that's including tip). Not rushing back but definitely willing to try more things on the menu. read more
