The owners, Paul and Soni, are great people who have always taken amazing care of us. This is without question the best Mountain Mike's in the Sacramento area. Paul curates the most excellent unique beers on tap and they offer specialty pizzas you won't find anywhere else. The Hilo Pizza and the Slayer Pizza are two of our favorite specialty pizzas--so good they should honestly come with a warning label (especially the Slayer... that bad boy is garlicky). Pepperoni purist? Don't worry, they've got that too along with all the classics. Your stomach will be happy. Your diet... maybe not so much. But they do have a fresh salad bar if that's your thing. Haven't had a mountain Mike pizza such a long, long time..... So I ordered a personal pizza which is 10 inches large A salad and what was supposed to be a pastrami sandwich. Well, except for the crust being a little thicker than I remember, it tasted just wonderful and fine .. The salad was pretty good except I had big chunks of carrots and broccoli more for the soup or do we cook them in a real salad to eat?.. The absolute worst what is the sandwich that they gave me... It cost $13.... it was a soft roll. That was maybe 6 inches long. All I saw was one2 maybe three slices of what they called pastrami and lettuce and tomatoes ... i've never paid so much for so little what a rip off the sandwich was... I did not receive the discount so I called the store like it says to do on the bottom of the receipt. I was told these discounts are put out by corporate & they know nothing about them. The store employee basically said we cant do anything about it you are out $25. Wow, really poor service. This place has the WORST customer service I have ever witnessed. We were having an end of season sports party here so I called ahead of time to make sure they still did 30% off large pizzas on Tuesdays and they told me YES. They have always done this as a daily deal no coupon needed. On the night of the event they would not let anyone use the 30% off. They have out of order signs on all of their bathrooms as well. My friends and I have been visiting every pizza place in Sacramento in order to figure out who has the best one. Our journey led us to Mountain Mike's Pizza recently and I have to say, it was great. Starting with the parking lot. It's in the Trader Joe's parking lot and it's always packed so expect to do a little walking. The inside isn't an environment I'd sit down and eat at. It felt a little dated. When it comes to service, it could have been better for sure. We called and the lady sounded annoyed at us. When we went to pick up the pizza, she seemed just as annoyed as she was on the phone. Overall, not the friendliest place, but none of that matters if the pizza is good. Moving on to the main part of the review, the pizza. It's $25.99 for a large 14" 14 slice pepperoni pizza before taxes. The price is a 6/10 for us. It's one of the more expensive ones we've had. The pizza is very filling. There were 3 of us sharing it and all 3 of us were completely filled from it. This certainly wasn't one of those other pizzas you can eat and wish you had more slices to fill you up. The pepperoni has a slight spice to it which I personally loved. They're very generous with the amount given and they're packed with flavor. They had good cheese and a great sauce. There wasn't anything lacking on the pizza. They even had a solid crust! When it comes to pizza places we rate, a 5/10 is as average as it gets. Anything below a 5 is below average, while anything above is above average. The price was a 6/10 for us. Not as expensive as some other places around here, but definitely not a cheap pizza either. When it comes to flavor however, we've decided to give it an 8.75/10. Our overall for Mountain Mikes leaves us at a 7.5/10 overall. I'd highly recommend coming by and giving them a shot. read more

If you order for delivery, call them an NOT a delivery service such as Doordash/UberEats. It will be cheaper and you delivery will be much faster and pizza ALWAYS hot because they use hot bags. Doordash/UberEats does NOT require hot bags. SUCH DELICIOUS PIZZA!!! The indoor dining experience is great. This place has just recently been remodeled. You won't be disappointed with the salad bar.
