Whomever is their chef or whomever creates the menu items needs a raise! (lol). I love their pretzel sticks & pimento cheese here. I crave it when I'm not eating it. Haha. They do a phenomenal job with the menu here & the staff are always very friendly and attentive as well. I am not sure if they still do it (I haven't checked in on it for a long time) but a while back they had trivia nights. I went to a few and they were so fun! They had actual entertaining questions that people might actually know the answers to. Just a fun thing to participate in :-) The only slightly negative thing I could say about this establishment is that can sometimes get pretty loud in there because it's a small restaurant with a bar attached so sometimes (well, often) drunk people talking loudly at the bar can be annoying if you're sitting at a table close to the bar. Other than that small thing, everything else is great! :-)

The gentleman working the bar was attentive, friendly, and clearly knows what he's doing. Every drink was incredibly well-made, creative, and delicious. You can tell there's some real thought and skill going into the bar program. The vibe is also fantastic. Cool, laid-back decor with some awesome portraits of a few absolute GOATs on the walls--Dave Chappelle, Anthony Bourdain, and others. Definitely gives the place some personality and makes it feel like somewhere you actually want to hang out. I didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but I cannot wait to come back for the veggie burger. If the cocktails are any indication of the quality coming out of the kitchen, I'm expecting to be very happy. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and clearly a place that knows how to do things right. Already looking forward to my next visit.

The hostess greeted us with a question. "You ladies came to drink or to eat?" She asked. We came for both! We sat outside near the entrance way. It was a nice shaded corner and it gave some privacy from the plants that were decorated along the entry way. The menu was small and interesting. First hour is happy hour $2 off drinks and $10 off food. I'd say this place is perfect for drinks and apps. There isn't a big variety for entree's. But those appetizers were the show! Our Order: grilled riblets, garnish shrimp pieces, watermelon tomato salad beef sliders French fries and the blackened salmon. The ribs-10/10 fall off the bone seasoned well with some kind of green sauce at the bottom. The garlic shrimp- 10/10 in chili garlic oil with focaccia bread. Watermelon tomato salad- 10/10 feta cheese always takes the show! Beef sliders- 10/10 us just being greedy but so good. French fries- 9/10 decent portion! Blackened salmon- 8/10 compared to how flavorful the appetizer's were it made the salmon lack in taste. Something was missing but it was still good loved the coconut milk flavor in the jasmine rice! All in all 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

Shangri La is known for their Palm Spring like vibes and you can definitely feel it. We sat outside because it was so nicely decorated and actually not hot anymore. We ordered our drinks and meals: the margarita slushie, drink special, brussels sprouts, tuna crudo, and scallops. Everything was delicious. The brussels spouts were crispy. The crudo had a great sauce to compliment the tuna. The scallops were cooked well. For dessert we got the custard and figs and they were divine. Staff were nice, everyone was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our experience were glad to try them out finally.

Great customer service isn't just about being nice once; it's about how you treat people every single time they visit, and this team absolutely understands that. I truly believe employees who go above and beyond deserve recognition, and the staff at this location have earned every bit of it. Management should be extremely proud of the team they've built. Not only do they have a nifty little stage to perform on, there's a sturdy pool table to shoot some stick and dart boards. While we didn't do it, we saw a few folks bring food in so I suspect they don't mind. The beers on tap are right in my wheel house which is great, how I prefer it. Quite an assortment of liquors and the bartender (always great to get a name before you get liquored up, maybe it's Dan?) makes a killer Mai Tai. You can have all your drinks in glass not a plastic cup. This is a knock on a neighboring pub, it's also nod to the San Juan Club. I love this bar! 12/24

Last night the stars aligned and I FINALLY got to check this restaurant out. I loved the decor in there! It was rustic and fun. Mismatched chairs, barrels, chandeliers mixed with industrial looking string lights.. it was great! The menu had a lot of options and the prices looked very reasonable. I opted for the Brisket sandwich for $18. It came with two sides and I picked the Smoked Cheddar Mac N Cheese and the Creamy Potato Salad. Each table had a few different BBQ sauce options too. My food came out quick. The Smoked Cheddar Mac N Cheese had good flavor and a great creamy texture. The Creamy Potato Salad also had great flavor and a great texture. I really liked it versus the potato salads that I have had at a lot of other BBQ places because often they are "eggy" and that is not what I prefer. The brisket was amazing. GREAT flavor and so tender. I ate 80% of it before I realized that I needed to try the BBQ sauces lol. I tried all three of the sauces on my table... Original, Sweet & Bold, and Hickory Smoke. All three were good but Original was my favorite. While eating an employee stopped by my table twice to make sure I did not need anything and that everything was good. He was very friendly. Now my biggest dilemma is figuring out when I can go back! This was the best BBQ I have found in awhile outside of Houston!
