Chili's is one of my favorite restaurants to go to when I don't have any time to cook and don't want fast food. Chili's offers a wide variety of American style food with a kick. There are burgers, chicken wings, tacos, Cajun, steaks, and other typical American choices. You really get your money's worth at Chili's with their 2 two for $20 meal or their happy hour specials. I wont go too much into the food here but rather the building itself and the service. This Chili's has been established for about a decade and had a recent exterior face lift. The dining room is average for a Chili's and able to accommodate patrons on most nights. The bar area however is quite small and of older style for a Chili's. The placement of the bar top is along the back wall of the restaurant rather than the horse shoe style of modern Chili's restaurants. The staff at this restaurant excellent and always friendly and fast. Their only bugaboo is with the take out service. Generally orders are not ready on time and I usually find myself waiting for them to put it together. Overall this Chili's is one of the better in the area. read more

Update: Chili's did end up contacting us on three social media platforms and along with many apologies, they sent us a gift card to use for a future visit. Chili's is still definitely not my favorite place to eat, I feel like there are a lot of better options. I am however happy with the way that this was resolved. read more

Went to this chili's in east haven for dinner on a last minute decision. They were not packed and busy. We waited 10 min for our server to come over. Ordered drinks and dinner at the same time. The appetizer showed up before the drinks ( 2 waters and a beer and a glass of wine). Dinner took a while to come out and when it got to us it was cold. Then the waitress had to get us our silverware after the dinner was on the table and the waters that we had ordered at the beginning. The only thing that was hot was the cookie platter dessert. We go to this chilis at least once a month. We always try to get Rebecca as she is just an awesome waitress. Food ( Caribbean salad, smoked wings, egg rolls, Texas ribs , cheddar sausage, panko onion rings) were all excellent. Drinks were good as well! read more

Not a good experience at all. This Chili's was my absolute favorite location. It def has gone downhill. They had no beef, no steak, it almost 45 mins to get our food. Our waitress was very attitudy. She wasn't helpful at all with any questions we had & was rushing us. The floor was soaking wet like someone who was sitting before us must of either spilled a bucket of water or their was a leak of some sort. I slipped twice going into the booth and also when i left, very gross! I have been coming to this chili's for a very long time since I was in high school. I need to lodge a complaint vs your East Haven ct restaurant. Every single time we order takeout from there (which is at least 1x weekLy) some part of our order is screwed up or missing. Tonight we ordered several items including a paradise pie. They gave us the pie and a cup of ice cream. No other toppings. No hot fudge and no caramel sauce. There's only the pie & 3 toppings that make up this dessert, how do you forget 2 of the 3 toppings? It's placed in a see through container so the staff could clearly see It was missing 2 of the 3 toppings. I have never dealt with any other restaurant that so consistently screws up something in EVERY single order we place every single time. In past few wks we've gotten fajitas with no side boats (nothing to put on them at all), sw eggrolls w/ no dipping sauce at all and many more screw ups/missing items. Literally every single time we order. It's now to the point that we are done and will no longer order from this restaurant. It's the worst takeout business I have ever dealt with in my life. This is not new bc of the pandemic, they've been screwing up for years now. They've just gotten worse. read more

I used to hang out in East Haven often and this was a convenient spot for cheap food and drinks during happy hour. The servers and bartenders have always just been fine but why this gets 2 stars is the location. The "clientele" there on weekends and some weeknights is terrible. Parents drop their kids off here at night as if it was a middle school social hour. Plus it's Chilis so no matter how awesome everything else the "food" can only be so good. If you want to reminiscence about lunch school rooms and drink weak margaritas with salty food then please dine here. Otherwise PLEASE go support a local business instead. read more

Let me start by saying the food was decent and our waitress was very nice. But they really need to hire some bussers. We were seated at a table for 8 ( there were 2 of us) and we were surrounded by unbussed tables. The tables were piled high with garbage and dishes, and they stayed this way our ENTIRE meal. It's not nice to look at all through dinner. Our table also smelled a little moldy like the rag they had used to wipe it had not been washed for a while. Long day... decide to go out to eat. Get to Chilis, the young girl at the door says... it's a 5 minute wait OR you can sit on the bar side..ANY BOOTH...she stated!! So my Family and I sit down.... About 10 minutes later the bar tender comes up and says... there's NO waitress on this side!! SMH. Good food, great service. Good happy hour specials. Sherree will take great care of you at the bar. All the staff are quite friendly and attentive. I eat here often and they are very accommodating when I want something customized. They do have wifi but you never know if it is going to be running fast or slow. read more

Service was awful! Went with some girls from work and the waitress was terrible. 3 girls showed up earlier and had drinks when the last 2 arrived. The waitress came over a few minutes later and took our drink order. The drinks sat at the bar for over 7 minutes. (I could see them from my seat) we ended up flagging down another server and asked him to pick them up. The food was good and surprisingly our order was right. When we went to pay my coworker was using the little machine on the table so the waitress came over and basically asked us to give her a raving review. Ummmmm that would be a NO! They really should look into having other servers help each other out. A customer should not have to ask someone to get their drinks. They should be running food and drinks instead of letting them sit there whether it's their table or not! read more

My therapist is trying to convince me that my experience at chilis was just a nightmare and not a horrifying adventure I won't soon forget. Can I just start off by saying that this chilis doesn't have an upside down picture hidden in the restaurant? Do you fuckers realize how long I spent pacing back and forth looking for that shit? Long fucking time. Not even that bad. I can deal with that. Seating was atrocious though. When you can see the child slaves making your food in the kitchen from your seat you need to be reimbursed. Was I? No. Maybe because I told the hostess that her nipple piercings were poking through her shirt but any Good Samaritan would point that out. Just trying to help. Now I'm allergic to jalapeños and when you ask for your burger to not have jalapeños, you should expect there to not be any on there. I almost died after my first bite. One EpiPen and three tranquilizers later I'm passed out on the floor only slightly breathing. The manager didn't even take the burger off my bill. So unbelievably rude. We got there and we were told they were cleaning a table, we waited about ten minutes and were seated at a table that was in view from the front that was already clean. Once we sat, there were two other tables that came in after us, sat at the same time- they were greeted first. It took about 7-10 min before a server came over. We ordered our entire drinks and meals. The bar drinks took a while but when asked for waters, the waitress was pretty prompt. The chips and salsa came out within a decent amount of time. The waitress was very friendly, however seemed kind of frazzled- maybe you were short staffed? The waitress brought out the bar drinks once they were up and we finished those along with the first round of chips. She then came over and got us another round of chips and salsa and two of us ordered another bar drink. The food was taking so long that we were able to finish two rounds of chips, and 1.5 drinks from that bar that took forever to get and find and complain about a hair in the bar drink- long curly black hair (we all had straight blonde hair) and the new drink was brought over and then our food finally arrived! The waitress said the manager would take care of the drink. However, she just re-rang the drink and comped the re-ring but not the original drink that had the hair in it (gross!!!!). Now onto the food- I asked for no tortilla strips in my salad and dressing on the side. I had dressing on my salad and tortilla chips in it as well. The only thing that was our saving grace was although the waitress seemed busy, she was very nice. We came into Chili's around 2:20pm and did not leave until 3:45 because of the timing of the food. This is not a typical restaurant experience. Did I mention we never saw a manager??? I will go back to a Chili's- it will just be a different location, as I have not had these issues when visiting Orange. read more

This place is right off of I-95N making it a nice stop if you are on the road and do not want McDonalds or Subway. However, if you value your time then McDonalds or Subway is the better choice. This is a very small restaurant with unbelievably slow service. We went for the 2 for $20 menu and started with chips. How hard is it to pour chips from the bag into the container? It must be very hard because it took 15 minutes to get it. The restaurant was not crowded. They give a lot of chips and we finished them all before the entrees arrived. We had the mango tilapia and pepperoni pizza. Those were both okay at best but that is a compliment since this is a chain restaurant. The server was not attentive as my water ran out and I never got a refill. It took another 15 minutes to pay and by then the restaurant was almost empty. We were not the only ones who had it rough. Another table next to us waited so long they ran out of conversation topics and took out their cell phones to do whatever on them. read more
