I work until 9pm and this place is clearly open until 10:30 it says on the website. I came in at 930 to eat some food with my co-workers only 5 of us and they told us they have nowhere to seat 5 people? I asked could we merge tables, pull up chairs and the bartender wouldn't allow it. Just poor poor management where on earth is there a restaurant that seats 100+ people and can't find a spot for 5 people to enjoy a meal. 2 thumbs down this place is an awful option compared to the way nicer restaurants in brighton. read more

I used to really enjoy coming here for a good lunch. Not anymore. Started off with chips and salsa which is a favorite of mine. Chips were extremely brown with pockets of brown grease caught in the air bubbles a great indicator that the fryers are extremely dirty. Next up my favorite salad the buffalo chicken salad. Gross is all I can say. The plate was so hot it wilted all the lettuce and spinach, the tortilla strips had the same grease issue as the chips and the chicken breast was smashed to almost paper thin. First time visiting and the service was great, they have computer like menus on the tables where you can order your drink right from the table without the waiter, thought that was very unique. We had chips and salsa with queso which was like a chili still very delicious. Also had the cheese enchiladas because we are vegetarian which was good but kind of bland for a vegetarian dish. Will probably try a black bean burger or a veggie pizza next time. The margaritas are amazing and the Long Island's were as well. Will most likely return! read more

Worst service ever. Trying to watch MNF, and work on my computer. Never connected to WiFi, ended up hot spotting my phone. Stepped out for a smoke with a full beer and my laptop and a colleague at the table, the doors apparently lock at 10:30, still people inside, I couldn't get back in. Manager said she saw me go out, apparently, but was not interested in allowing me back in. I had $4k of hardware sitting on a table. Oh well. My fault, I guess. They wanted to go home. I have made a yelp account solely for this experience at this restaurant. I visited with my wife and 2 kids this past Saturday, July 9th. My experience started off friendly with a warm welcome form the hostess, followed by an instant seating to a booth in the dinner room area. Our server's name was Jason, who was quick with a joke and overall made our experience friendly. Our drinks came out while he was still standing at our table from a very friendly girl with colored hair. Our food took a little on the longer side, but the atmosphere of the restaurant made it bearable. When our food finally came, it was two teenagers who were extremely friendly and cheerful! They almost tag teamed delivering the food to the right person, as they took turns asking who got what, it seemed like they had quite some synergy! The girl who brought the food left first as the boy delivered the last item, which was to my wife. He then asked with a smile if we needed anything else, which we responded no, then met with a response to enjoy the meal as the boy rushed to catch back up with the girl who delivered the food with him. The grub was AMAZING. I personally had the margarita chicken and I ate every last bite! I substituted my meal to have double the rice and I found myself disappointed to look down at my empty plate as I just wanted more! For desert, my wife and I split a cookie, and our kids split a molten lava cake. I did steal a bite of the cake, and I say I was a bit disappointed. But the cookie damn sure made up for it! Went in for the 2 for $20 promotion, and was very disappointed to see that the menu had changed from the last time we were in, and the portions were much smaller as well. I had the chicken tortilla soup and the southwestern egg rolls, we also had a kids pizza, and shrimp and chicken fajitas at the table. Plus the delicious chips and salsa. I don't know when I'll be back to this location, I can say for the people in my party they will probably never come back. Our waitress was unattentive, rude, snotty, couldn't even crack a Frickin smile. I'm a manager at a restaurant in the county, I have managed at restaurants before and if I saw my employee treating a table like she did, she'd find the door at the end of her shift. Not only did I make a reservation in the morning for ten people, they stick us in that booth that comfortably fits 8...not 10...mind you, no coat hooks or anything for all the extra stuff, so it was a tight squeeze, that we had to wait for to begin with..and I was excited to arrive because the person on the phone in the morning was so friendly and happy. Kudos to whoever that was. I was told our table had two servers, only the bitchy one ever showed up, and she must have been under the impression we all wanted to yell to her as she only would go to one side of the table, the side where all the men were, it was blatently obvious what she was doing. Made us stand up to hand her our waters, our plates. Anything because she couldn't walk around. 15 minutes for her to walk by our table a million times and never make eye contact to get the new people drinks. Anything we asked for was a problem, an eye roll, an evil glare came from her. I just started asking other servers for things bc I was pissed off at her. The thing is, I'm in this business I get the struggle of a busy Saturday night but the attitude was so Frickin horrible I'm still upset about it. Like I said luckily the food was good or you would have ruined my birthday. Maybe she had too many tables or something but teach your servers that attitude is important. A smile can go a long way when you're busy, and don't roll your f***n eyes at a table. So bizarre of an experience but that server should be fired, end of story. (And I would have tried to talk to a manager but the dread locked one (if she is a manager, couldnt tell her role) was just as bitchy as my server so I assumed the problems might have been coming from the top. I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend and ordered food. We asked for water with lemon as drinks. When the drinks were brought, the 3 of the 4 lemons had been eaten...complete with bite marks, as if pre-used for shots! Management expressed no concern, the server was not taken aside, and no apology was expressed. Instead the manager argued that this "could not have happened", even though the half-bitten lemons were in front of her. I rec'vd the same response from corporate management and the regional never returned any calls. I ordered a Stella and my buddy order Sam Adams.... both of them tasted like a bud light that has been sitting in a garage in South Texas for about a year and a half. When we mentioned it to Stacy, the bartender, she blew us off saying that she knew for sure that the taps were cleaned and the kegs were new. Okay, so my trip to Chili's was interesting to say the least. Not to mention the 15 minute wait at the door, the buzzer that I was initially given was defective. Now I don't know if this is just poor management, or an oversight, but things were definitely not up to par at the Chili's Grill & Bar on Challis road in Brighton, Michigan. After a long ordeal which I thought would never end, I was finally seated. I thought the waiting was over at this point, but I must have waited at least seven minutes before the waiter asked me what I want to drink, by that time I was completely parched and in desperate need of a drink. I ordered the usual, a Heineken. The waiter was unfriendly to say the least, and didn't seem happy to take my order, but I proceeded as usual and carried on. Well perusing the menu, I was frequently interrupted by squeals and chirps heard from the children seated directly to the left of me. So having to use full concentration to dedicate a choice of Tex-Mex cuisine, my mind was set on the Jalapeno Poppers. Now I've had them at other Chili's, but had yet to experience Challis roads rendition of the classic Jalapeno Popper. So with my standards set pretty high, I sat in await. The thought of that first bite of the delicious Jalapeno Poppers had me salivating. At that point, they were the only thing that could save me from this disaster. I had been waiting a long while at this point, and had finished my first Heineken. My food came abruptly at the worst time imaginable, and I had to wait for a refill of my beer, as I wanted to enjoy them together like I usually do. That's when things took a turn for the worse. As the waiter came closer to my table, I noticed the chirping child's toy car had fallen onto the ground. It was too late, he had fallen and fallen fast. My food was soaked, and my pants saturated with cold, premium lager. I felt like a defeated man with a plate full of tainted, uneatable food. Wow! This was terrible! We have eaten at this chilis maybe 4 times in the past two years and each time has been worse then the previous. But this one, was amazingly bad. First of all our waitress was rude, very rude! Besides the hostile service, we didn't get all of our food, the waitress was mia a lot, we had to ask two other waitresses for things. I don't expect a lot from a chilis, but I do expect adequate service and edible food. My fries were cold and tasted like they came off someone elses plate. I don't know how my 2 year olds food tasted, because I had to repeatedly, swat flies and gnats off of his food, to the point where I just took it away. They weren't just buzzing around, they were actually landing on his food. We definitely won't be coming back here again. read more

We went to this Chili's location twice. We do not live in this area but were passing through a few times and stopped for lunch once, and then dinner another time. Our first trip there was horrible because the service was so bad. We sat in the bar area and had awful service from our waiter. We did not receive our appetizers for 20 minutes. We only ordered chips and salsa with a side of ranch. When we finally received our apps, the ranch wasn't there. I had to ask again for it. It was never brought to our table. Right after we received our apps, our food arrived. Our drinks were also not refilled timely. I had to ask the waiter if I could have more to drink. We were disappointed but thought since it was a Saturday afternoon, that maybe they were just really busy. We went back about 3 weeks later when we were passing through town, but this time we stopped at dinner time on a Thursday night. The restaurant was not busy. Upon our arrival, the hostess saw us and decided to continue her conversation with 2 other waitresses while we waited to be sat. Their conversation was not pleasing, as they were using curse words in front of us. After a few minutes, the hostess came over to seat us. I washed my hands in the restroom prior to ordering and my hands were burned twice. The water was way too hot for hand washing. My hands were scorched and red and swollen. I told the waitress about my experience and she said she was sorry but did not let a manager know (if she did, the manager didn't feel it necessary to come and speak with me). On a side note, I moved the faucet to cold after the first time I was burned, and when the men's restroom toilet was flushed, the water scolded me again). Our waitress did not refill our drinks until the very end of our dining experience and when we ordered chips, salsa and ranch, we again, did not receive our ranch dressing. My chicken sandwich was suppose to come with honey mustard as well, which it didn't. The service was very slow and we will never go to this establishment again. Was very disappointed on our recent visit. Went in approx 1-1/2hrs before closing on a Friday night. Ordered the Texas Fries and grilled chicken sandwich. My husband ordered the steak, broccoli and baked potato with a beer. My fries tasted like they used all the remaining old fries that were left over from several different batches. Some were cold, some were rubbery, some were so tough they bent instead of being crispy. The chicken sandwich was so salty it was like they wye trying to preserve it for another day to avoid the sour smell. My husband's broccoli was cold and rubbery. Neither of us were willing to send back for fear what would happen in the replacement. The waiter noticed I only took a bite and was inspecting my fries. They were actually the whole reason we went there in the first place. They were not busy at all and we're only seating in the bar area so they couldn't blame a rush on the terrible food. $42 later and our dog got to eat good as we ate a bowl of cereal at home.
