I wanted to give a better review because our waitress was so nice and quick with our order in service. Upon walking in the resturant only half of it was available for seating the other half completely empty and we had to wait 10 minutes to get seated for dinner. Usually not a bad wait, just curious why only half the restaurant was open. The floor, the tables, the chairs, the windows...everything needs a good overhaul scrubbing and cleaning as the place smells musty. Ordered chips and salsa, the chips were oily and the salsa filtered down with water. I ordered the shrimp tacos and I was a little hesitant as I wasn't sure if they would taste good. The coleslaw was a little sweet for the tacos but the shrimp was cooked good. The best part of the dining was the waitress being on point and the hot lava chocolate cake. read more

First, I ordered 2 frozen strawberry house margaritas. I received 2 margaritas on the rocks and was told they were probably just sitting... No, they are on the rocks and were never frozen. Returned and received the correct drinks. Once home, my "well done" bacon burger was red inside, accompanied with small drops of blood in the to go container. A young man greeted us at entrance and seated us at the bar area. We asked repeatedly for table in a more quiet place but he said this is the only available. He "cleaned " the table with a wet, questionable dingy rag, pushing all the dirt on the floor and left leaving the menu on the wet and sticky table. The waitress came to take our order (I wish I remembered her name, her presence was the only good thing in that place). The food was awful. Wa had tortilla chips with salsa. The salsa was watery, the chips were stale and greasy. We had bowl of chili... ugh, this wasn't a chili, it was some gooey substance with beans and something else unidentifiable... double yuck. I ordered southwestern egg roll. It was hot and crunchy outside, but saggy and gooey inside and it tasted like it wasn't fried properly. I had the egg rolls before in a different location and they were delicious, but not here. I hardly took couple of bites and pushed it aside. My fiancé ordered rack of ribs and street corn. I love Chili's and couldn't wait to get the classic nachos today, I was very disappointed by what was served. We waited approximately 45 mins for nachos, a turkey club and a kids meal. Never mind a couple that arrived well after us got served before us. I ended up sending the nachos back and I was told that because it is a different kind of chip that no matter how it was cooked this was how the nachos would come out, burnt. Chili's has great food but this particular location needs a lot of work. The service is TERRIBLE! The tables are dirty, we had food crumbs on our seats! After being there a few minutes I realized why. I watched a table next to us leave after they were done eating and that table sat dirty for 10 minutes before someone tended to it. And this was on a slow day in the middle of the afternoon when they had ample staff that had nothing to do! The servers act like they are hourly employees. I have been to this location in excess of 50+ times by now and have always found it to be exactly as expected. You can never go wrong with Chili's. After roaming around all west Boca to find something to eat late at night we ended up at Chili's. We were all super hungry. We arrived and not many people there and we were seated right away but our table was not too clean. There was water all over it and dripping on the seat. We waited for the waiter to come by to change tables, however, again we found ourselves waiting. So we ran out of patience and decided to just move to another table. I really wanted to rate this restaurant 4 stars, but unfortunately had to go with 3 (or even 2.5)! I'll start with the positives from my experience here this evening... The food was really good and came out fast and just as I ordered it. The hostesses and the server in the section next to where I was sitting were very friendly and helpful. Also, there was a guy that came to our table during our meal to make a balloon shaped monkey in a tree for my 2 year old which he enjoyed! Overall, a solid 4 stars..wish I could have given it that.. However, when I arrived, I placed my drink order and son's dinner order with the host since I needed to take my son to the bathroom. My server came and dropped off the drink order when I returned, and as soon as he left, I realized we had no straws. I immediately stopped and asked him for some and told him all I needed was 30 seconds with the menu and I'd be ready (this was because if I waited too long there'd be too much of a lapse between my son's and my dinner coming and he can only be patient so long being a 2 year old.) After saying this, I was ready in 30 seconds to put the order in, but spent the next 10 minutes after that trying to flag my server down. He did have a bunch of other tables, but walked by me multiple times where I tried to politely wave, say excuse me, flag him down, and he never looked at me at all. He walked by at least 6 times...I finally asked the server next to my station if I can place my order with him because it was a Friday night and it was getting busy and I was worried that there would be too much of a lapse between our orders. This other server was super friendly and I was thankful he was so helpful. My son's meal came out from a food runner and I realized I had no napkins for his burger and fries, so again I tried to flag my server down for a few minutes as he walked by me with no luck. I could see the napkins at the host station so I finally just got up and got them myself. My meal arrived pretty fast and was also brought by a food runner. As soon as they walked away, I realized I had no silverware. Again, I tried to flag my server down with no luck! I eventually asked a host for some silverware. My meal was great... I ordered the turkey sandwich, hot, with broccoli and cheese instead of fries. My son inhaled his cheeseburger as well and loved the balloon entertainment. I ran out of iced tea in the middle of my meal though and just had to go without! I tried to flag my server down and finally got him after a bunch of attempts, and this time, I asked for more iced tea with the check. This he brought fast.. At this point, I was still going to rate this place 4 stars because I wanted to give my server the benefit of the doubt since I had enjoyed my meal, and I tried telling myself that perhaps he was over sat (given too many tables at once) even though, looking back, he still gave all his other tables way more attention than he gave us. I've served tables long ago so I can understand.. However, I was left with a sour taste in my mouth when after I wrote the tip in and signed, my server was all of a sudden hanging around my table cleaning and picking up food not yet done (son's fries).. And he was obviously trying to hint for me to leave so he could have another party sit there to make more money on the table. I was super annoyed because this was the most I'd seen him all night. He probably was acting like this because it was just my son and I so it wasn't a huge bill... But I am a great tipper!! Do I feel bad writing this review? No. I probably felt more guilty eating the food actually. I will say something feels wrong doing it. Like picking on that special kid in school. I should have just kept it moving but I wouldn't be me if I didn't say how I felt about this place. That's the purpose of Yelp. For a person to express his/her experience and enlighten others. So here it goes. If you don't know by now 99.9% of the food served at Chilis is previously frozen then you still probably believe the WWF is real too. Out of all of these type of restaurants and by that I mean TGIF or Applebees, I can comfortably say I'm taking Chilis. Service is usually better. Their menu is more interesting. They don't try and do too much and fail at everything like the other places. I stick to what I am accustomed too; the chicken fingers and the molten chocolate cake. Their drink specials are also pretty good. But the molten cake is probably the only reason I'm coming to Chilis. It's a fabulous microwaved cake with vanilla ice cream, sundae sauce and some other stuff probably crack. It's a top 5 dessert period. It's why I'm giving Chilis a respectable 3 star and will be the only reason I continue to visit a Chilis once or twice a year. read more

I had a good experience at west Boca Chillis. My waiter was fast and on point. We had two burgers, the Bacon and the Santa Fe. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars it's because the bacon burger was nice and big. I'm a guy, we like ours burgers big and scary. My burger Santa Fe was, let's say, a 1/3 sampler in size, very flavorful, delicious, but kinda smaller. The fries were nice, crispy and fresh. Very good. Overall, very good experience with my son. Third time going to this location, and they have all been the worst dining experiences ever. Tonight we decided to give it another chance. Big mistake. Service was so slow, we saw a lady and child leave upset after waiting 40 mins, and not getting food. Ordered the steak medium well, and it came out a burnt charcoal coated well done. Wife ordered chicken fajitas, chicken came out undercooked and partially raw. Did not want to make a scene, so told the waitress about it, boxed up the meal, and said just bring out dessert. They had run out of chocolate chip cookie, so they brought us cheesecake instead. Wife took a stab at it, and couldn't even chip a piece off because it was frozen. I tried, same result. Told the waitress about it and asked for a box, figured we'd thaw it out at home. Bill came, I signed and tipped....then thought it was kinda high. Reviewed it, and realized i was overcharged. Called waitress over again, and she said she would get manager to handle refund. After another 10 mins, he comes over with revised bill and $10 in gift cards, that I will be gifting away, because I'm never going back there. Smoky Bones in same shopping center is a better choice. I just want to warn people , even if you come when it's dead or packed you will wait. This is the second time in a month span where I get seated and I get no server. I would get if the section was packed, but there were two tables occupied. Yet a 15 minute wait and no server , not even a drink order or nothing. As a huge fan of Chilis I hate to have to write this, I understand the virus is going around and it's a huge deal but as a delivery driver this is literally ridiculous. I just waited over 25 minutes for them to ask for my customer's order. They need someone constantly out taking orders and really it just goes to show how disorganized this establishment is.
