Tijuana Flats is always my go to when I'm visiting home. I've been going to this location for at least 10+ years now. I ordered my dinner via their mobile app for a pick-up an hour from then. I ordered Black Bean nachos and was easily able to customize any toppings I wanted removed and pre-pay for my meal. This shopping center was busy, but Tijuana is tucked to the side where there is plenty of parking. They have a pick-up station for to-go orders somewhat near the cash register so I just had to look for my name on the shelf and take my food. Food was ready when I got there and I didn't have to interact with any employees. Tijuana is great Tex-Mex food and their salsa is packed with fresh flavors. Taco Tuesday offers 2 tacos, chips and a drink for $6.99 and Thursday is $6.99 burritos or bowls and also includes chips and a drink. Super easy to order and pay online. The order was ready as I was pulling up and brought out to the car quickly. The tacos were good. The blackened chicken bowl had plenty of chicken, rice, black beans, guacamole and extra jalapeños as requested. Don't forget to order sauce from the hot sauce bar. This is by far their best location. The staff is knowledgeable pleasant cares about customer service and customer opinions. The food was extremely well done, with perfect temperature and a quickness of being served I've never witnessed before coming here for 20 years in the past. There Tuesday and Thursday specials are a deal and a half and so worth it. Put that together with the care the employees give alongside the ambience and feel of the store itself and it's look... I haven't been to a Tijuana Flats in ages so it was nice that with the promotion I had a reason to pop in. I didn't even know I had one fairly close. The service was great right off the bat. They didn't know about the promotion they had going but once it was cleared up they were on it. The 3 person team were friendly and quick. I waited a couple minutes for my order, noting that the place was clean and bright. They had dine in service with half the tables blocked off for social distancing. I was by myself though, so it was better to take it to go. once home I broke out my meal, a Megajuana Queso Crunch Burrito. It was dang big. I got at it but I actually couldn't finish. It was plenty good though. It came with some hot salsa and chips too. The chips were a nice extra touch, they tasted fresh like maybe they even made them on site. UPDATE A manager named Tom called me today when I asked for a call back about the bill. He explained all the mitigating factors that have lead this price point (i.e.: inflation, supply chain, etc.). It was actually very informative. I really felt listened to and hear and he helped me out. I will revisit, but maybe go when there is a select deal, like on a Taco Tuesday. This counts for alot in my book. My advice, visit this restaurant but go when they are running a special. read more

Okay let's talk about the art because obviously it's the first thing you notice when you walk in. From the ceiling to all walls the creativity is amazing. Unfortunately the foods creativity is not so great. The taco salad was served with romaine stems. Very crunchy. Guacamole wasn't fresh..chicken was cut so small it was like I wanted to donate a pack of chicken breast to them. The dressing had chunks of tomatoes in it and it was avocado ranch.. cross contamination?... or na.... Overall you can tell they are cutting cost by the quality of food being served. I have been here several times ; but this time the young lady in the back was very rude . She saw me sit at a table which clearly needed to be cleaned and did nothing. Instead she was eating in the back... The cashier had a great personality, and the managers are always super sweet. Bad hire ? The sauce bar is always as phenomenal as always . We always do take out from here lunch or dinner , both are always quick amazing and delicious. Staff is always different but very well trained and nice. Servers are always on the move and smiling. Their food is very fresh, tastes great, very convenient because you can also dine in and outside, and bough space to seat and lots of free parking right in their lot. They even went out of their way to ensure I had the quality and quantity of food needed for 25 hungry construction guys. Love Tijuana Flats. Anytime we are in an area that has Tijuana, we stop for Taco Tuesday. Can't beat the deal for two tacos, chips and a drink. I always get two hard shell tacos with blackened chicken and everything on it. My kids love them too, even my one son who is normally a picky eater. The nice thing is they give you chips on the side with most orders. They don't have a salsa bar but rather a sauce bar ranging from mild to spicy. We got our food pretty quickly and everyone was friendly. One of the things I love about eating in the restaurant is all the crazy quotes all over the walls. Was suggested I try this place from a roommate of mine about half a year into me living down here in Florida. Coming from Maryland, we had a similar place called California Tortilla and although they may be similar in atmosphere, this place is immensely better in food quality! Two years later, I've eaten at this restaurant (in multiple locations) more times than I can count! If you're a local, you probably already love it, if you're new here or just visiting from out of town, don't pass up the opportunity to stop in and get something. You won't be disappointed! This location has always been fast, clean and professional! The food is good for tex-me, their guac/queso is really good and i love that their Jalapeños are very spicy. Ive been here quite a few times and couldn't complain but the other day I placed a pick up order and I received my bowl with what seemed to be rotting or old jalapeños. The seeds were completely black and gross. They don't look as dark in my photo but they were black! I'm not that picky so I took them off and ate my meal just fine. We live in LA. So we should be really snobby about Mexican food, right? Probably. But honestly, this is our favorite casual Mexican-inspired (Tex-Mex, whatever you wanna call it) restaurant anywhere - and by a longshot. Whenever we're in SoFla, which is fairly often, we go here at least once. Sometimes two or three times if we're there for a while. I've always loved everything I've gotten here, from the beef tacos to the cheese enchiladas to the queso. The staff is always over-the-top nice and accommodating. I've give this place six stars if I could. My only regret is that they haven't expanded to California yet. One day perhaps. At least we can dream. read more

Why is it so difficult to fund authentic Mexican food in Florida? I am giving this establishment 3 stars based upon the amazing staff and the decent food. The staff is very attentive and super cool. No doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary which is a rarity! The music is a bit loud but does coincide with the loud paint I have had the steak salad which isn't bad with the cilantro ranch dressing and their bean and cheese burrito isn't bad just overpriced. Been a huge Tijuana Flats fan since living in Orlando and going to one of their first locations. Taco Tuesday is my jam! First time at this location and it was pretty close to closing time so it was quiet and clean. The only server/cashier kept us waiting for a while as she chatted outside with some regulars but no big deal. Manager took our order and as usual the food was awesome. I had steak tacos with the tortilla chips and a lot of hot sauce (my fav!). Overall good experience and fantastic tacos. Would eat tacos again... over and over again. read more

One register open with a line to the door and it took 30 minutes to place the order and another 20 plus minutes to get my order which was wrong. I love Tijuana Flats. I have been to the Original and at least 7 other locations. I've eaten it all over Florida. And this is the first one I just don't think lives up. First, their employees aren't as helpful as others in the area. I am never really offered free refills here, or at least not as often. The last time I went, the guacamole has browned and tasted seriously wrong. When we returned it, they seemed to know something was wrong because others had complained but 'maybe it just needed more salt.' They did end up switching it out for queso, but if others have had issues, why are you serving it still? Each time i have gone, my quesadilla is one bite of meat, a bite of onion, a bite of black olive, and a bite of sour cream, not mixed at all. some slices lack an entire ingredient all together. I am sad that this is the location close to me for lunch because it means no Tijuana Flats for lunch until this one's quality gets better. read more
