Lupita's has been a go to of mine for years. Definitely worth the visit when in the area. Everything here is super solid and delicious. Will definitely be back.
My bestie just moved to Lantana and it was nostalgic to stop by at Lupita's on a Sunday for lunch. We haven't been in a hot 6 years since they blew away our minds during a 1 month vegan challenge. The interior has gotten a lot nicer. The walls and seating are all creatively painted with vibrant murals and decor scattered throughout. I recall it being more shack-like in the past. This location has it's old time Florida charm. I love the updates. This was my first time exploring the meats and fish at Lupita's. I went with a carne asada/steak sope and a fish taco. My bestie went with a carne asada chimichanga, chicken taco, and a horchata. They started us out with homemade chips and salsa. The shell to the carne asada sope was crunchy and homemade, flavorfully topped with a medley of freshness -- pico de gallo, lettuce, salsa, and avocado. I tried a bit of my friend's horchata and that is absolutely delish. Lupita's is still legend of SoFlo Mexican spots to check out. Cheers!
I knew that this place had gone down in quality and they had a problem with passing their cleanliness inspections in the past but learning they had new owners and they had cleaned up the place, I was willing to give this updated place a do over. The interior decor may have changed but my opinion of this place hasn't. The decor is tex-mex cute and colorful. The service was friendly but absolutely clueless. The food was reasonably priced for portion size but the quality was really low. We enjoyed the complimentary basket of fried flour tortilla chips and the salsa was basic but okay. The Carne Asada Nacho platter was disappointing in the ingredients. It was supposed to have guacamole on it but it was more of an avocado cream and very liquidy. The asada meat was seasoned well but it was chewy in a bad way. The chicken burrito was heavy but full of too much rice and it was lacking seasoning. The Tamale Platter was nice and freshly made. The rice and beans on the side was not housemade but from a can. I think the new owners are trying to cut too many corners and will not get repeat customers. There was just nothing special about anything at this place and even their only hot sauce that can be added for some heat to the meal is a watered down green tomatillo mild sauce or a red pepper mild sauce which both are served in a cold squirt bottle unless you pay almost $2 for a small roasted jalapeño. I will pass on a return visit and look for new authentic Mexican fare.
OMG!!!! Six years passing this venue and I finally stopped in. Greeted by such a lovely young lady. I confessed that it was my first time and needed her help. Alas, the wet burrito with steak. What she didn't tell me was how large the meal is. And delicious! Took half home. Got in bed with pillow and blanket. The food coma helped my afternoon siesta. WOW!!! Home run for the money!
Wonderful lively restaurant just off Dixie in Lake Worth close to Publix. You order at the counter and they will bring your meal to you if you are eating in. The emu is extensive including breakfast as well as many types of tacos and other Mexican foods. I ordered two tacos and they brought me chips and salsa while I waited for my food. The tacos I ordered were delicious and were served with red and green sauce and onions a pepper and radish on the side. They brought the silverware in a cloth napkin which was a surprise from a place with counter service. Wonderful experience.
Their taco salad is my favorite! So yummy! They just redid the restaurant and have super cute decor, chairs, lighting, mural, etc. now! You gotta go try this place!
Absolutely delicious!! It's rare to find a good authentic Tex mex restaurant these days and I found this place after moving here! The micheladas are huge, spicy, and soooo good! The portions are large for the cost! It was my birthday and they gave me a complimentary dessert which is always super sweet I chose the flan and it was 10/10 I can't wait to go back!
This place just keeps getting better and better. I love the clean, stylish decor--it's such a fun atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is always fresh and delicious. My go-to order is the veggie burrito, and it never disappoints!
New management leveled up the joint substantially! Very fresh ingredients and careful, subtle seasoning. Workers care about the place (sadly, not at all true in the earlier incarnation). Décor is super cute, vibrant, festive. So happy for the improvements!
Lupitas is now under new ownership and it changes the game! The food ...omg. This is a foodie place now. The empanadas are golden crisp covered in fresh orange bell pepper salsa, the masa is homemade...I have a couple photos, but I worked in the best Mexican comfort food place in Austin Texas and I can tell you that this is one of the best places to eat in south florida.
Look no further for your next go-to Mexican joint. Extensive menu to choose from and something for every meal of the day. Breakfast burritos will leave you full and satisfied for days and the taco salad is one of my favs! Service is friendly and food is quick + good which is all the mixings for a bomb little fast-food Mexican place. Don't let the outside deter you and give this place a try!
I've been going to lupitas for over seven years. I absolutely love their food and their hot sauce. For some reason today, September 24 the girl on the register hung up on me three times so I gave up trying to place an order over the phone and came in. She rang me up for the wrong item, told me that the kitchen hadn't started making it yet so she just told them to make my item instead. She never checked the food before giving it to me thankfully, I checked it and saw that the wrong item was given to me so I was able to have it corrected before leaving. It also seems like the hot sauce recipe was changed. It wasn't spicy at all! It seemed like I was just putting water on my food. I even had my husband try it who doesn't like spicy food and he agreed it had no spice to it whatsoever. I understand that it's gone through a change of management, but if you continue to have people like that, working at your restaurant, you're gonna lose a lot of business and please go back to the original hot sauce recipe this new one just ain't it.
We had a very good lunch here. Portions were large, prices were reasonable, and the food was very good. The restaurant is located on the west side of Dixie Highway. Inside it's very decorated with flowers, signs, hats, and colorful designs. Lively Mexican music was playing. They have a lunch specials menu. I took advantange of that and ordered their shrimp fajitas. First came a large plate with yellow rice, refried beans, and pico de gallo. I left off the lettuce. A separate colorful basket with a lid was delivered next with hot tortillas wrapped in foil -- that kept hot the entire time. And a sizzling skillet came with grilled onions and peppers and shrimp. The meal was delicious. I even took some home including all the tortillas. My husband was in the mood for breakfast -- which they do all day. He got their huevos ranchero. The two lightly fried sunny side up eggs on top of a tortilla were covered with sauce and cheese. The plate also had refried beans, rice, and salad. He said it was very good. Just what he was in the mood for... We'd definitely return here. Service was also very good. And there are a lot more things I'd like to try on their menu. read more
A great find for lunch today! This bright, cheery and colorful restaurant is welcoming and inviting inside. Our server Heidi was attentive and helpful. I ordered the Huevos Ranchero, two eggs on a flour tortilla, covered in cheese and sauce, yellow rice and refried beans. This dish was delicious and satisfying! read more
So, today, I finally stopped at Lupitas. I was going to a musical event in downtown Lake Worth. I had some time to kill and wanted to grab something to eat. Ive passed Lupitas many times and it looks like a lively place. Beautifully painted exterior with a Mexican vibe. I thought, steak tacos for me. I walked in, and the interior is so pretty and colorful. I ordered what I wanted, which happened to be called, the 3 Amigos (3 steak tacos) and it came with a very ripened lime wedge, and I requested sprinkled cheese on top. They brought over two different sauces and also nachos and salsa. Well, the tacos were very good, a little on the small side, but quite tasty. They came on two layers of corn tortillas. It hit the spot and Im very glad I came tonight. All the customers looked of Latino origin and thats a good sign. I would definitely go again and tey some other things on the menu. Counter service is increasingly getting worse. Been coming here for years and in the last year it has sucked. The food has been good but lately it's been a miss. Add to that that it feels like you are sitting in a live action Grand Theft Auto. I've never seen it this bad. Homeless people wandering the parking lot, what looked like prostitution on the patio and drug dealers in front of the neighboring liquor store - I just started laughing like what the hell is going to happen next when a homeless guy came right up to the window where our booth was and dead eye stared at me for what seemed like an hour before wondering off. read more
We ate in and had tacos. Good deal for the combo but the tacos were pretty average IMO. I had the shrimp and fish and my bf had al pastor. Nothing like what we had in Mexico City. The fish and shrimp were both good but nothing special. Price wise we paid $35 for a combo, 2 beers, and my 2 tacos. read more

We haven't been here in a while and we usually enjoy ourselves. It was good to go back. We ordered to go this time. Location: facing east on dixie highway. You can't miss it, the signage is great. It is across from the publix. They have their own parking lot with plenty of parking. Heads up: the traffic is always hectic around there. Please be aware! Atmosphere: casual. There is plenty of space inside to eat and it's spaced really well Food: Awesome tacos! We had the shrimp and the chorizo. What I enjoy about this chorizo is that it's never over oily. It is nicely seasoned with just the right amount of burn. The shrimp was done really well and there was a good amount for the price we paid. My only complaint is that I wish they would have given us separate containers for each kind. Not a huge deal but, just a wish. We have had a quesadilla from here before and really enjoyed that. I would really love to try the tamales next time. The only issue I have ever had with their food was this past time with the guacamole. Guac is one of my favorite foods and I was really disappointed In this one. It was literally green mush with pepper..no other veggies mixed in and I am thinking it was avocado puree??? This is what brought it down a star for me. Customer service: It was and still is wonderful. They have always had our food ready within 10 minutes and they had it nicely packed when we went to go pick our to go order up. Overall , it's a great spot for your favorite Mexican dishes and we will try to get back sooner than later this time read more

I was actually trying to find another restaurant when we happened upon this place that looked inviting! We were pleasantly happy with stopping here instead, love the vibe of this place and very authentic food. Nothing fancy but good food. We had Guacamole to start off and it was very creamy in texture which was different but still good (needed a little salt). I had the Chorizo Tacos and a Spicy Pork Wet Burrito, both were excellent and I ate every single bite. Nothing amazing about this place but I kind of liked that about it, chill and an easy experience. One thing that was surprising to me, it was very expensive! I was not expecting to pay over $40 for a two person meal. As long as the food is top notch I do not mind paying but this to me was a little high. Just saying.... Overall it was a great meal and I would definitely go back! read more
Came here after the restaurant we intended to go to was closed and I have to say, I was not disappointed at all. The menu is very common for a Mexican restaurant, burritos, enchiladas, etc. I ordered a smothered burrito with pastor, which ended up being so big that it took up half the inside of an entree to-go clamshell container (see photo). I ended up finishing the rest as a midnight snack! The burrito itself was awesome, very flavorful and filling. I wish I could have tried their desserts, they looked great. Honestly this isn't the type of joint I'd usually go to just because it looked a bit iffy on the outside but let me tell you... I had some darn good authentic carnitas tacos here! There's an amazing guacamole sauce that comes on top and really brought the taste of the corn tortilla all together. My friend works in the area so we decided to try this place out and she got a breakfast burrito (for dinner?!) and decided this'll be her go to place for breakfast burritos in lake worth. Overall, the tacos are pretty cheap (about $3), food tastes great, and it's pretty easy to find/park. The only draw back I'd say was that the food was served on disposable plates and plastic silverware - I almost wish I would've taken it to go to reduce the waste but that's just the environmentalist in me! Give it a try next time you're in the mood for Tex-mex! read more

Lake Worth has a nice number of great taquerias, and Lupitas is no exception. This has become my go-to for tacos, burritos, tortas, and more. Located right across from Publix, Lupitas is this great no-frills, down-to-earth joint that serves awesome tacos. Personally, I am a big fan of their carnitas tacos with guac and their lengua, which is quite good as well. When you can get four tacos regularly for under $10, and they're delectable and delightful, you know this is going to be a go-to. I've ordered take out there as well as ate there. They have outdoor seating with chess board painted/engraved on for those that want to do checkers or chess while noshing away on some good eats. The interior is bright colors of red, greens, and yellow. Really polite and friendly staff that have always made sure you've gotten what you've wanted. Being 5 minutes away from Lupita doesn't hurt either. So if you're looking for great tacos and burritos that will change your life? Come to Lupita. read more
