Good Mexican food! The service was fast and easy! And everyone was friendly and the ambiance was great!

We came here by chance. We'd tried to go to a new place a few doors down, but when we stopped in there was no one there -- no staff and no customers. So we came here. We've been to other branches of this restaurant. It's authentically Mexican -- not dumbed down spice wise for gringos. So be prepared. My husband got a burrito with ground beef and rice and beans. I got their Mexican shrimp cocktail. There was a ton of small shrimp mixed with a very spicy tomato/ketchup sauce and tomato pieces and onions -- all topped with avocado. A few packages of crackers were served on the side. It was good, but I had to eat slowly to adjust to the peppery taste. And the "small" order was more like a large. My husband's burrito was packed with everything. It was large enough that he took half home for a later meal. He said it was very good. We have tried their other locations in Lake Worth and have enjoyed the food. This lunch stop found is in a clean and cheerful interior with a friendly server. My Burrito plate was very good and included rice and beans. A large portion with plenty to take home and enjoy later. read more

Sausage Tacos, Steak Burrito & Horchata Beverage. OKAY. The 2 Sausage Tacos did taste GOOD but were small in size. The Steak Burrito was large but was mostly filled with Shredded Lettuce and Cheese. Ordered a Horchata which is a GOOD Drink being comparable in taste to Rice Pudding. Authentic MEXICAN is still better than the alternative TACO BELL which is corporate and commercial. I ordered two tacos, my husband and nacho platter he paid with Apple Pay and we grabbed a table. Staff was friendly & helpful. Many ordered lunch to pick up & door dash got many bags. Lunch for the both of us was $15, tacos were $2 each. Pur lunch was brought to our table in about 5 minutes. Portions were generous, packaging kept foods in place. Second time eating here at " Tacos Al Carbon " This place is solid. If you Know my reviews you might know I'm from S.D. California and living 20 minutes from Mexico. Having lived there for 58+years I think I know my authentic Mexican food. I've tried hacienda, la Bamba and of course El Camino out of those three El Camino hands down the best, however having tried a couple of different things at T.A.C. I personally think this place is the real deal. Great food, friendly service and good prices, what more can you ask for in Mexican food. Our waitress " Mady " was fantastic too. They are simple and quick, and even if they make a slight mistake on an order they are more then willing to correct. I definitely recommend stopping by, their tacos are beyond fulfilling, and just as delicious as any other location. Humble and attentive service as well as good prices in this Tacos Al Carbon location. This spot is located off of Congress and Melaleuca on the East Side of Palm Beach County in Lakeworth. Few minutes from Boynton Beach, and totally worth the stop. There's a few other locations, but I cannot stress that this spot is closer to the south and still an awesome alternative. I usually get tacos, pineapple juice and elotes. I must note that the only thing I wish this location had was the elotes but that's about it. First time and recommended by park employee where I stay. I've had a lot of tasty tacos burritos in my time but this place is a gem. It's even open 24hrs I especially love the fish tacos and burritos. Everything I have eaten has been amazing and the portions are amazing. They also have live entertainment. I've gone there twice and can't wait to go back again for the amazing nachos as well. It does get a little crowded and loud due to the music but it's a happy place to be with friends and family as well. Takes time with orders but it's fresh and delicious. Came in at 11:30 am, ordered ( standard order and they're not busy ) was told 15 minutes. 30 minutes later STILL haven't gotten my food ( I'll be late punching back in at work). Was a staple here in Lake Worth, they've done so well they've opened multiple restaurants in multiple locations, perhaps too quickly? I remember it was just the Lake Worth location and there were always huge lines especially late night/early morning. went on a date here a few weeks ago and got the carnitas tacos they charge extra if you want a flour tortilla instead of taco. which is not that bad. the service is iffy they serve the people dining in quicker than the to go orders. The prices are supposedly increasing however I feel like the price is not worth the quality of food received at least in the past few days. I went to both locations and got tacos covered with grease to the point where the tacos is so soggy it cant be consume. This place has ROACHES... and when it was brought to their attention (after receiving a delivery/take out order!) they accused my friend of it coming from her house!!! TERRIBLE service. Ordered 4 pans worth of food, 2 pans of burritos and 2 pans of enchiladas. They gave us 2 pans of tacos and 2 pans of burritos. Al Carbon is easily a staple for west palm/palm beach county. There's like half a dozen of them peppered in the area, and they all have little variations. The main one obviously is the food truck with roasted corn cup station. There's also the one location that took over from a pizza place.... and now they serve pizza there. Because why not? This spot is actually pretty hidden, but it's the most accessible from i95. It also has the most seating room with sit down table service. The menu is identical and you're getting the same Food, for the most part. The one thing, that seems to be a trait for every single one of these places, is that your order will always be about 80-90% accurate. You ask for flour tortillas.... you get corn. The music was a little too loud for my taste as it was a small restaurant and we were shouting to be heard, but fun atmosphere, cool staff. Was in Florida for work and my colleagues had already been here and insisted it was delicious and that I had to check it out. When we arrived I was immediately reminiscent about a recent trip to Austin, TX. And it had the food to match... probably some of the best tacos I've ever had outside of Texas. Incredibly authentic. Tacos al Carbon was literally located in a seedy neighborhood parking lot next to its restaurant fast food shop. Outdoor tables to sit at with a few homeless people. Ok I was by myself and only had the wet carne asada burrito. Sounded good, but what I got was a sloppy under seasoned dish with no kick covered in a sloppy enchilada sauce, guacamole and sour cream.
