Yesterday evening I placed a curbside delivery order. It was a very large order for 7 people. The total bill was over $80. After submitting the order on the computer, I received a response indicating the order would be ready in 25 minutes. I was surprised at how quick it said the order would be done knowing that it was New Years Eve and most places were very busy. I just assumed the order was not going to be ready by the promised time. I was right. When I arrived, I had no problem finding a Curbside parking spot. I arrived two or three minutes before the food was supposed to be done. I texted "Here" to the Curbside text that I had received. A worker came out to my car shortly after, provided me a receipt, and said the order would be done in "10 minutes or so." I was not surprised and I was ok waiting longer even though it was past the promised time and waiting at home was preferred to waiting in my car. About 20 minutes later, the worker brought out the majority of our order but said there were a couple items still being cooked. Approximately 10 minutes later she brought the rest of the order, or so I was told. I drove home with the order. Upon unpacking the order I noticed two items were missing, a corn on the cob and a house salad. I double checked my receipt to make sure I had ordered those items as I had thought. Yes, sure enough I paid for both items but they were not provided to me. To top it off, half of the chicken on my chicken sandwich was not fully cooked. I spit it out hoping to avoid getting sick. Overall, I was not upset that the order was not done by the provided time. The worker who delivered the food to my car was very nice and professional. However, I was very disappointed that I did not receive everything I paid for and that I received food that was not fully cooked. With so many other restaurant options in town, I doubt I will be back based on this experience. read more

Had a nice dinner at Chili's with my husband. I'm really pleased that they got the soda machine that gives you he numerous flavor options for your drink. I ordered the Peach Sprite and it was delicious. For food we shared the chips and guacamole for an appetizer. It was pretty good though I prefer more spice in my guacamole. I also had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries which was also pretty good. My husband enjoyed his chicken crispers on waffles. The service was excellent. Our waitress checked on us often and was super friendly. Chili's isn't anything amazing, but it's always consistent and a good option for a quick dinner. read more

We had a terrible time at Chili's last night. First of all, our waitress mixed up all of our beverages and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her because we wanted these alcoholic beverages. After we ordered our food, it all came out at varying times. First, someone's entree, then chips and salsa, Then appetizer and other entree, and finally after 39 minutes of waiting we got out final two entrees. One of them being the Cajun chicken pasta which was inedible due to the insane amount of seasoning on it. It was so red and nasty. That person couldn't even eat her food in the restaurant. She had to take it home once they remade it. To top off everything, our waitress had to redo our receipts three times! After that, we just went up to the front and had the hostess do it because out waitress was clueless. The restaurant didn't even want to comp my friends meal after it being totally inedible and her having to wait so long to receive. We've never experienced such terrible service in our lives. I would first off like to say, that I like Chili's and the style of the restaurant, the menu, and the food. Shortly after moving to Normal, Illinois. I visited Chili's on Veterans Parkway, Bloomington, Illinois. It was a Tuesday during lunch, the restaurant was not busy at all. Got seated right away,our waitress was very attentive (refilling drinks, getting sides, checking up on us). I ordered the Guacamole Burger (Substituted a regular patty, instead of turkey burger patty). I chose to have the fries and a side house salad. My side house salad, came straight out of a blast chiller or a low temperature refrigerator. My lettuce was completely frozen, I couldn't even cut it with a knife. The toppings cucumbers, carrots, cheese, and tomatoes were completely frozen to the core. Like they came out of the freezer directly to the salad. My hamburger was was cold all the way throughout the burger (not cooked to correct temperature), and was assembled like it was a two year old putting the burgers back together. Needless to say I will never visit Chili's, in general ever again. Not worth the time and or your money. read more

We went for a late dinner, we should have chosen McDonald's. I will summarize it this way: --Soup was cold. Sent back- came back out 15 min later. -- Cajun pasta- very cold! -- sandwich on pretzel bun- bun was extremely hard you could tap it with fork and it seriously shattered. -- never received the sauce that was ordered for the sandwich on the side instead of "on it" --no refills on any drinks. -- margarita ordered at beginning - did not receive until we complained to manager everything that happened. I had a sub-par visit around two months ago at around 3-4pm, and I ordered the original chicken crispers, which were rubbery in texture and I was unable to finish eating them. The management team was quick to notice and offered me a new meal, and instead, I got the Cripsy Chicken Crispers, which were better than before. I'm giving this Chili's a 5 star for SERVICE - best service I have had at a chain restaurant in a long time - we ordered from the 2 for $20 and had a little bit of trouble with the broccoli, mine wasn't cooked and my mom's was over cooked, we ate the other portions of our meals as they were good and hot and came to the table quickly, when she cleared the table I mentioned in passing because we found it amusing, it didn't disrupt any part of our meal. The manager immediately came over and apologized and ended up taking care of the bill and buying us a dessert! I am amazed at the level of service they offered. Many places wouldn't have bothered acknowledging it since we did eat everything else. I would say in a college town to have that service is rather unexpected. And the place was busy - large groups on 2 sides of the restaurant and we still got amazing service and hot food. read more

We had a pretty solid/average experience here. Came in on a Friday night and there was a 35 minute wait. I don't know how long we were really waiting but it did not feel like 35 minutes. Got a table, ordered some standard food (endless tostado chips, burger, veggie burger, chicken sandwich between the three of us). Everyone enjoyed their meals but the staff could just not get my order right. The first error was that I was brought a regular burger instead of the black bean/veggie burger. However, the waitress was very nice and she actually surveyed the burger and realized it was wrong before handing it to me. I thought that was an A+ move on the waitress's part. Any vegetarian out there can probably attest to the high number of times this occurs in comparison to the low number of times someone independently attempts to fix the situation for you. Anyway, everyone was really pleasant and the manager came to our table with the new veggie burger. The second error came with the second veggie burger which was served with the wrong cheese. He asked if it was correct; I told him it was made wrong again and he offered to fix it again. At this point it wasn't worth it for such a small detail so I just ate the veggie burger as-is. They wound up taking the order off of the bill, which I thought was definitely fair and a nice gesture. All in all, a truly average dining experience. Don't get me wrong i love Chili's and it is consistantly good but i am disappointed how the fajitas are served now. The toppings are brought out on this stand with little bowls on them . The concept is good but the bowls are way way too small. It looks cheap! I had to ask for cheese two different times and it would help if they were filled to the top. It's a Chilli's... decent food at a moderate price. The food is consistently good and prepared well-- nothings super elegant or creative, just American Bar and TexMex style comfort food. The servers are usually covering large sections so they can sometimes get overwhelmed through no fault of their own, especially if there are large or demanding groups. The servers are very friendly and social though regardless of what's going on. This location is a magnet for college students and families, so there is a frequent wait around prime lunch and dinner times, especially on the weekends. You can usually gauge how bust they are based on the parking lot. The bar area is small, but if you're of age and there's only a few of you, that's a great option if there's a huge wait with large groups with kids. read more

My husband and I visited this place while visiting with our insurance agent. I could not believe how terrible our service was. Ordered yesterday via their website for an 8pm pick-up. I understand it was Mother's Day and was likely busier than usual. Arrived from out of town at 7:45 to find a line for the To Go pick-up approximately 30 + cars long. Received our food at 8:50 pm. I'm not upset about waiting in the line for the pick-up but am upset that it was quite apparent by the quality of our $80+ order that it had been sitting in the styrofoam containers since likely 8 pm. Nothing was edible at that point. Soggy, cold fries. Cold burgers & dried out sirloins. I attempted to call the restaurant but was hung up on three times. We would have had to re-enter the To Go line at that point to have actually been able to speak to anyone about our order. Very disappointed there was not a better handle on how to manage the wait time for pick-up with the food prep. read more

This place has not had a review in over a year...no problem - captain yelp to the rescue ... I stepped in late on a Wednesday night and sat at the bar....it was busy and other then waiting close to 5 minutes for initial service, once I received the service it was great - my waitress was working hard and servicing practically the whole area herself, she did a great job! There were a couple of baseball games on and the bar was a perfect spot with greatly placed TV's to enjoy the games. The turnaround time on the food was fast and the beer was nice and cold. I have to admit, I am a little biased on this one. I realize it is a chain restaurant, but I have been eating here for years. Some of my favorites are the fajitas, the country fried steak, and absolutely every time I go I get an order of the chicken enchilada soup. It is awesome! My kids and I will order a bowl of the soup with an order of their amazing chips and salsa and then use the soup as a dip. It is great stuff! Let me say first off that the server was good. Not exceptional. Just good. My wife and I did the 2 for $20 deal. We both got the mango tilapia. It came with rice and steamed broccoli. We had the chips and roasted corn quacamole for our appetizer. Price-wise, the deal isn't a big deal. They basically give you the appetizer that comes with several of the meals anyway. No biggie. But, the portion sizes were small, too--2 little pieces of fish about the size of big sardines. The rice was sufficiently sized but strong on what I think may be saffron. The broccoli was steamed well. The best part of the meal was the maccaroni and cheese side dish I ordered just to try. I could have tossed the fish and had more mac & cheese. It was great and I highly recommend it if you like that kind of food. Overall, this Chili's is slightly below average for a chain. read more

I have nothing but positive feedback for this Chilis. I have gotten many different things here and each time it's wonderful. They have quick service, polite service, and fix mistakes they make. I've used their to-go feature online, and it somehow got lost in their system. They gave me my food at a significant discount even though I said I didn't mind waiting the extra 10 minutes it took.
